A few new filings this week — the most interesting of which concern

In 2007, a suspicious survey for college students emerged that was hosted on a website registered to Karen Unterreiner [Etholoutions.com]. Unterreiner is a notorious High Rank of NXIVM and longest serving harem member of Grandmaster Keith Raniere.

Here was a comment following my post “People putting intense heat on me to ban Scott Johnson & detractors” It was from someone using the moniker “ Scottie’s daddy”:

The comments’ thread on a story about John Tighe seemed to be going pretty well until the subject of Scott Johnson got in the way. The following is a comment by a reader using the moniker No Sympathy for the Vanguard. Because the comment advances the debate over actress Kristin Kreuk’s role in NIXVM, I moved it from the comment section and edited it to conform to the style of a post.

Although there has been a good deal of speculation about what type of punishment might be meted out to Keith Raniere and his co-defendants should they be found guilty or accept plea deals, most of it has focused on how long they might be incarcerated: 1 year, 3 years, 5 years, 20 years, life?

One of the more intriguing aspects of Frank Report’s followers is that they literally come from all over the world. As of 8 pm today, for example, the site had already been visited by people from more than 75 countries.

Out of more than 100 comments today – as of 8 pm – I only had to delete 10 comments – so things are looking up.

Several readers have raised questions about what, if anything, will happen to the “little guys and gals” in NXIVM who participated, at least in some small way, in the Raniere/Bronfman crime syndicate.

Although many people think of “immunity” and “plea deals” as being one and the same, they are, in fact, quite different legal concepts, both in theory and in practice.
