On Thursday, September 16th, Nancy Salzman’s attorney David Stern filed notice that his client intends to appeal her sentence.

As time progresses, Camila, 31, looms larger and larger in the life story of Keith Raniere.

In an amended complaint in a federal civil lawsuit prosecuted against 12 former NXIVM members, it is now being alleged that NXIVM founder, Keith Raniere, forcibly raped Camila, a Mexican woman, who was a part of his inner circle of women.
The last of the NXIVM defendants has just been scheduled for sentencing.

Nancy Salzman, 66, was sentenced to 42 months in federal prison, fined $150,000, and given 3 years of post-release probation with no contact with any known NXIVM members. She was not remanded and must surrender to her assigned prison on January 19, 2022.

Ivy Nevares has published her victim statement on the subject of Nancy Salzman.
At least now we know why Nancy Salzman and her attorneys wanted to keep her victims – and the general public – from reading her “Sentencing Memorandum”.

In a rare move, Judge Nicholas Garuafis – on Labor Day, a federal holiday, when the court was not open – issued an order.
Since Nancy Salzman’s sentencing memorandum is missing from PACER and it is hard to understand why it should be filed under seal, let me at least try to give a little overview of what her role was in NXIVM, something she might have provided to the public had she not filed her sentencing memorandum u
