Nancy Salzman may be in hot water – again. Her lawyer might be in trouble too.
This is Part # 5 of the Ambrose Papers, the extraordinary story of how a conniving father and a dubious gaurdian ad litem teamed up to ruin the lives of three adopted children.

This is Part 4 of our ongoing series, the Ambrose Papers. It is an astonishing story of how the Family Court system in Connecticut could unravel a family and upend the lives of three adopted children without, what anyone in any other court of justice would call, the slightest trace of due process.

My comments on Lauren Salzman’s letter of support for her mother written to Judge Nicholas Garaufis are related to one aspect of her argument.

One day after she was sentenced to probation, former NXIVM director of education and top EM therapist, now dog groomer, Lauren Salzman wrote a letter of support for her mother, Nancy Salzman to Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis.

Wende Irick is a businesswoman in Anchorage Alaska who was part of NXIVM [also known as Executive Success Programs] from the early days. She recruited a number of people in Alaska, including Kathy Russell and if I am not mistaken Kristin Snyder. Here is her letter of support.

Let us now hear the other side of Nancy Salzman, the side of those who supported her. Had her attorneys had their way, the supporters voices would not be heard. They filed these letters of support under seal but the judge made them file them publicly.

As per the order of Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis, Nancy Salzman’s lawyers finally publicly filed Salzman’s entire sentencing memorandum – including her letters of support.
There are those who think our series, the Ambrose Papers, the story of TV screenwriter, plagiarist, and allegedly abusive father, Chris Ambrose, is an exaggeration. He can’t be as bad as his children allege.

Kathy Russell, the last of the NXIVM defendants to be sentenced, told the judge in a teary statement that she was truly remorseful and that Keith Raniere was truly evil. She was sentenced to 24 months probation, 200 hours of community service, and $100 special assessment.
Kathy Russell is due to be sentenced on October 6, at 11 A.M. She has filed her sentencing memorandum. Kathy was arrested by the FBI on July 24, 2018. On April 19, 2019, Kathy pled guilty to one count of visa fraud.
