Comments on Dossier Project Video Tend Towards Deprogramming the Six Remaining ‘Slaves’

The comments ran 25-1 toward leaving Keith Raniere.

The last of the original 105 DOS slaves, first eight, now only six in number, banded together, calling themselves the DOSsier Project.

On their first video on their new YouTube channel, launched after their most prominent member, Nicki Clyne, left, they talk about  Clyne’s departure and how the DOSsier Project will live on.

The six remaining DOS ‘slaves’ are Michele Hatchette, Sahajo Haertel, Linda Chung, Danielle Roberts, Angeline Hinojos, and Leah Motishaw.

Originally, the DOS structure was that 105 women were subordinate to one man – Raniere – the master of them all – though many did not know Raniere was their secret leader or that his initials were secretly the true meaning of the brand they got on their groins – until Frank Report broke the news in June 2017.

On this video, there are 79 comments, most of which were not in support of the continuation of the DOSsier Project, but rather encouraging the women to follow Clyne and free themselves of association with Raniere.

Implicit in the continuation of the DOSsier Project is the continuing support of DOS and their leader Keith Raniere. Though the DOSsier women acknowledge Clyne’s list of 30 controversies in her recent statement can give one pause, the women do what so many of Raniere’s followers have done in the past — defer a serious investigation of the allegations of Raniere’s bad intent.

One commenter raises the issue.

Nicki says on her statement: “It’s implausible to believe that the long trail of Keith’s victims over several decades, many who had no connection to one another, were all lying and seeking illicit rewards.” Do you ladies disagree?

The DOSsier Project responds

Not sure how Nicki has come to that conclusion, but in the form of a question, it can give one pause. There’s so much we don’t know about Keith’s personal relationships with individuals and we don’t pretend to. We support Nicki’s decision to take the path she feels is best for her and always have her back

One of the more compassionate comments was from Susan Dones, a former NXIVM center owner who left in 2009 and who is well known to FR readers.

I know this is a difficult time for the six of you. I’m the last person you want to hear from as you see me as an enemy. I’m not, really. We have different points of view on Keith Raniere’s behaviors, but I do believe in women’s empowerment.

That being said. I’m sad that it comes down to the fact when someone makes a choice to leave a man like Keith Raniere, it tears at the very fiber of every relationship between him & others. You are either with him or if you choose to leave him, you have to leave everyone still loyal to him.

There is no other choice. He will not tolerate anything else. That is control he decides & is not women’s empowerment. That is a cult & not a healthy relationship. IMO.

Letting a man who is 99.9% going to be locked up in prison for the rest of his life decide who YOU can be friends with, because she decides to no longer have a relationship with him because she decides it isn’t healthy, wasn’t healthy & was abusive, is head shaking to me.

Nowhere else in society does this happen. Women don’t tolerate this in their friendships with other women. This is just food for thought.

Know if at any time any of you decide to take the path of Nicki, I will stand by your side. I wait with open arms as I have everyone who has left NXIVM. If staying beside Raniere’s side works for you, so be it. I wish you the best life brings you in that situation.

Please take some time for yourselves to consider if it is really good for you to continue this..ultimately something good.. what you believed when you entered DOS.. is intrinsically linked with KR and his despicable behavior…that is the problem with this and why Nicki.. who began The Dossier project…had to close it down. It’s fine if you need to express yourselves..but you can’t deny the reality of all the women who were abused and that by staying connected in any way to a defense of KR..connects you to his deeds. I thought the recent video you made that was posted on the old channel about your personal experiences with Keith was unusual in that although Nicki led the conversation, she actually didn’t contribute at all. All we heard about was how the others had experienced him and what they thought of their brief or sporadic interactions. I do remember Danielle speaking on her business partnership ( was that it?) with him but still, it was baffling how the person who knew him best and most intimately was silent. Also, in other videos in general, you all spoke about your personal master / slave experiences but Nicki never spoke about hers. From my recollection, she spoke frequently about the trial and the documentaries but not about her actual experiences in DOS. I’ve always wondered who her master was. Was it Allison? Was it Keith? Any thoughts?

Like what is this group going to do that is going to change the world other than make videos of how women are never victims and rape doesn’t exist. Are they going to offer two for one branding?
