Raniere’s Legal Team Seeks Permission to File Missing Documents in His Lawsuit Against Bureau of Prisons

August 15, 2024
Keith Raniere from a mug shot.

Keith Raniere, through his legal team at Aidala, Bertuna & Kamins P.C., has filed a motion in federal court asking permission to submit critical documents that were “inadvertently omitted in (Raniere’s) previous filings due to a clerical error by a staffer.”

The motion, filed on August 13, 2024, asks the court to allow the late submission of a “Statement of Facts” and a “Controverting Statement of Facts” in opposition to the defendants’ summary judgment motion.

Defendants Include High-Profile Federal Officials

The defendants are U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland, Colette Peters, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and two unidentified individuals referred to as “Unknown Gutierrez” and “Unknown Ulrich.”

Raniere is suing the defendants on the grounds of administrative remedies related to his imprisonment.

Raniere’s suit involves allegations of mistreatment, including the BOP not permitting him to speak with his “friend” and power of attorney, Suneel Chakravorty, while in federal custody. The government has made motions to dismiss based on the allegations that Raniere has not exhausted all administrative options before pursuing legal action.

Legal Team Cites Clerical Error for Missing Documents

The summary judgment motion filed by the defendants argues Raniere has not met the legal requirements to continue his case, prompting his legal team to submit additional facts to dispute the defendants’ claims.

The omission occurred due to a clerical error during the electronic filing process, according to Raniere’s attorney, Arthur Aidala.

The legal team asserts that accepting these documents now would not prejudice the defendants and is necessary to ensure that the court gets Raniere’s version of the facts.

The motion also indicates Raniere will not oppose a request from the defendants to file additional responses if the court grants his request.

The case centers on the exhaustion of administrative remedies, with Raniere challenging the defendants’ summary judgment motion.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office, representing the defendants, has indicated they do not consent to Raniere’s request.

On May 1, 2024, defendants Merrick Garland, Unknown Gutierrez, Colette Peters, and Unknown Ulrich filed a Motion for Summary Judgment on Exhaustion of Administrative Remedies.

On June 21, 2024, Raniere filed his Opposition to Defendants’ Motion. However, in his filing, one of Aidala’s clerical staff inadvertently omitted the submission of his Statement of Facts and Controverting Statement of Facts in Opposition to Defendants’

Aidala included these missing documents in his request to file them as EXHIBIT A and EXHIBIT B.

Frank-

The only question I have left regarding Vanguard:

Will you Iever visit him in prison?

I believe this is worthy of contemplation.

Yes, I would love to see Raniere’s face as he sees Ginzo in the meeting room.

Keith should rot in prison and serve the entire sentence. However, all of us would do anything to try to get out too. Don’t blame the guy. But you had to have pissed someone off or got a politician mad somewhere because some murders get 15 years and parole in 10.

If you believe this may have been the case, do you have any idea who may have influenced Raniere’s judgment?
I don’t think so. Nicholas G. Garaufis was Raniere’s judge. Who would he have listened to make such a judgment? I believe that Raniere’s behavior and self-presentation during the trial and the testimony of the witnesses had a much greater influence than anything that came from outside the trial.

I get it—

Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis in sentencing Kieth Raniere considered all of Kieth’s crimes committed over a decade.

Raniere should have produced all documents in their entirety a year ago. The lawsuit should have been dismissed because of lack of substance. And now Raniere and his attorneys want another extension because of missing documents, even though the attorneys for Garland, etc. have responded against Raniere’s motion. What is the point of having deadlines if they keep getting extended despite non-compliance? It appears that Raniere is privileged under the law.

Only 95 years, 10 months and 10 days left for Keith, not including early release on good behavior. Time flies by for Keith, his complaints, grievances, and petitions never let him get bored. And that’s a good thing. His lawyers want to keep making money out of him and the more complicated, the better. Keith has mastered the art of dragging out every lawsuit. The lawyers and the judges help him. You can’t ask for more for Bronfman’s money than Keith gets in return.

Anyone know the whereabouts of Sara Bronfman? Will she ever come back into the US? Or will she get arrested if she sets foot?

Maybe Suneel will file an appeal with the Department Of Health and Human Services to have an official “Fecal Custodian” designation created so he can quit his job to wipe Clare’s ass full time.

Squarefoot may just find himself in the Guinness Book of Records again as the most stubborn cult leader in the world. Still, those Bronfman funds keep deteriorating.

Pyriel, unfortunately Clare and Sara generate so much interest, they will never go broke. Even with Squarefoot burning up $150MM, they are still absolutely generating 10’s of millions every year. Its such a shame that two dimwitted bimbos like the Bronfman girls inherited all that. Why couldn’t decent people have inherited all that cash? Edgar was such a fool…

There’s a lot of constructive things to be done with that kind of cash, starting with much needed cosmetic surgery for both sisters. Think of it as an urban rehabilitation project for two human slums.

Good analogy, Snorlax. Like gentrification of their faces.

Or…

… Like in the movie Face/Off when Nic Cage and John Travolta actually swapped faces. Clare would swap with Liz Hurley.

Any thoughts on who Sara could swap with?

Sure, go ahead and blame the paralegal. They all do.

Another day, another Aidala.

At some point Keith has to be barred for frivolous lawsuits. Normal people can’t file frivolous suits over and over. How can Keith? Let this mf’er rot in his cell.

Keith is such a prominent figure that the justice system will not stand in his way. This once again highlights the class divide that pervades our society, and from which Keith benefits because of his support from the Bronfman’s.
