The Sandusky Family: An American Story Tarnished by False Claims

Jerry Sandusky remains in prison, the victim of eight liars, three prosecutors, a ruthless judge and a reckless Penn State Trustee (and others.)

By Dick Baer

I am an octogenarian who is the same age as Jerry Sandusky. Having grown up in Washington, Pennsylvania, I knew Jerry, and his father Art, largely through athletics as young boys growing into adulthood.

Jerry and I were both teammates and competitors against the other.

Especially during these formidable years, coupled with the close bonding inherent to athletics, my sense of Jerry was that he was literally the best person I knew.

Jerry Sandusky as a young man

Jerry Sandusky grew up living at the Brownson House, which his father ran.

This was a kid and young adult who did not curse, lie, or embellish himself in any manner. His parents raised him well.

Jerry’s dad, Art Sandusky, was an iconic man of virtue through his life-long support of boys, many having troubled lives, through his Brownson House.

Jerry’s dad, Art, was a human god to growing boys in our community.

It’s where I learned to play basketball that led me to a college scholarship and a successful life.

The Sandusky family are good people an American story family.

Which leads me to the here and now. America has become a sick nation. Our population is afflicted with a disease that I hope has not become incurable. Few people believe the Ten Commandments of God, much less even know what they are.

“Thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbor.”

That’s #9.

Simply stated, don’t tell lies about your neighbor, even for a few million dollars.

Sandusky played for Penn State, starting as defensive end from 1963-1965. He was a good student and standout athlete.

Jerry Sandusky in 1966 graduated first in his class at Penn State with a bachelor of science degree in health, and in 1970 got a second degree in physical education.

I shall guarantee that each of you liar “victims” (pictured at the bottom of this article) are in for a very difficult future.

The uttermost worst problem right now in America, and yes, Pennsylvania, is our corrupt justice system.

And certainly, the Pennsylvania legal cabal and jury that convicted an innocent Jerry Sandusky will pay the price for their misdeeds.

God knows what each of you have done.

Soon, the American people will also know. Truth is the power.

Jerry Sandusky is an innocent man.

When I learned of Second Mile, my thought was that his family tradition of guiding boys to adulthood continues through Jerry.

You believe you are an innocent person. How would you like to spend your next 11 years? Confined to solitary imprisonment?

Read and understand what Frank Parlato is revealing to you.

Jerry Sandusky IS AN INNOCENT MAN.

Sandusky started the Second Mile. Mike Kajak is among the boys in the photo.

I only ask that you read Frank Parlato and other prominent people who believe this enormous miscarriage of justice must be addressed.
If you agree with my thinking, I urge you to spread the word.

Jerry Sandusky served as defensive line coach for Penn State n 1969, then became linebacker coach in 1970. He was promoted to defensive coordinator in 1977, where he stayed until his retirement in 1999. In his years as a linebacker coach and defensive coordinator, he coached many defensive squads, and Penn State gained a reputation for outstanding linebacker play, producing 10 first-team All-Americans at that position, and Penn State acquired the nickname “Linebacker U.”

Dottie Sandusky has consistently supported her husband Jerry, through the investigation, the trial, and 12 years in prison. She stands by him today. ” I know he is innocent.”

****

Now let’s look at the false accusers who stole Sandusky’s liberty by lying for money:.The Perjurers

Pedophiles do not act like ogres. They are commonly charming and friendly, they “love kids” and commonly look for ways to help and be around troubled kids. The fact that Jerry did not look or act like the monster he actually is around his peers is nothing unusual.

Jerry’s biggest problem was the sense of entitlement and invincibility his association with Penn State gave him. Only such an entitled narcissist would continue to shower naked, travel and spend hours and hours alone with young boys after having been accused of being inappropriate in a shower with one, questioned by police and explicitly told never to shower with them again. And only an administration and head coach like those at Penn State would have the audacity to think that accusations of child sexual abuse were something they could simply deal with in-house. And simply tell the suspected molester “Please take your molesting elsewhere”. Not since Catholic popes and bishops have we seen such arrogance and disregard for the safety and wellbeing of children.

He was just a little too much friendly with the kids, did he not have a jury trial? and did the jury not find him guilty? Your point of view he is innocent, but the child who showered with a naked Jerry might have a different opinion,

An incredible family history and legacy tarnished by thieves – greedy therapists, attorneys, J Cleland, and the derelicts that betrayed the man who was most generous to them.

I know the family and know the family history. Jerry is innocent and the liars need to switch places with him. He should be living his best life with his family now instead of crying for justice. His family has suffered, especially his one son that was unjustly accused and imprisoned for nothing but being associated with his dad.

Terrible things need to happen to the liars, their lawyers and the individuals who rammed this case through on a rail – especially that crooked judge!

No one can escape the light of truth!

People who know the Sanduskys know what Mr. Baer wrote is the truth. They are a family of integrity and compassion. They have helped many boys in The Second Mile. And then we have 8 lying, opportunistic, unethical, money-grabbing, derelicts who would do anything for money – even lie about a man who truly cared for them and their wellbeing. Like I told Allan lying Myers (shower ‘victim’) in a letter, his child/children will grow up to find out what a conniving, lying, bastard their father actually is.

Holy moly! So you’re an octogenarian? I had to laugh because we typically don’t see big words in the Frank report unless perhaps they are written by Dr. Fred Crews who by the way is a nonagenarian and a good friend of those in Sandusky’s corner. He probably read what you wrote and called you “kid”. Hopefully, we’ll all stay in good health and see a day soon where Jerry gets to go home. Thank you for writing about him and for him to have the good sense to marry Dottie. You don’t stand by someone who would have done all those despicable acts. Frank just needs one of those fraud accusers to step up and do the right thing.

Octogenarians are the people that taught you to read and write when you were in elementary school and they were in their 20’s! No wonder you actually have a vocabulary and the sense to use both! Thank God for the prior generations-(60 & 80 year olds) they will save the country from the hippies (now in their 70’s) that have been trying to destroy it since the 1970’s when they were 20!
That judge is in his 70’s!

Amen, John. I simply cannot grasp how Jerry Sandusky could be guilty of ANY crime. I had almost lost any inspirational belief for Jerry’s freedom and clearing of all charges. That was until Frank Parlato got his claws into this injustice. And one law that can never be disputed states that only an absolute fool would piss-off an octogenarian.

Richard, you descriptively captured accurately the essence of Jerry Sandusky and his family in the limited space available. Kudos, my friend. Jerry, you, and I go all the way back to our childhood together and there is not one misrepresentation or untruth in your words. I hope the readers go forth and share this truth with friends and others.

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
