It is not often that readers share their dreams with us. And when they do, it is not often that we publish them. But this dream – a NXIVM dream – could educate and potentially inspire readers.
This is a real comment – made by a real reader .
To protect his anonymity we are giving him a suitable pen name — Julian Enamor — and we have a photo of what we imagine he might look like.
Here is what Mr. Enamor wanted to share about his dream:
For the first time, last night I had a dream about Nxivm. I have watched the Vow, read Frank Report and consumed other documentaries about the group. Find it fascinating with all the weird angles and dynamics. But def not something I think about often. I binge watched and read stuff about the group for a few months, but that was probably 8 months ago. Which is why this was such a random, irregular occurrence.
The dream was three parts. I’ll break down in order:
First part:
I was a social worker, hired by Nancy to escort Lauren to her probation officer.
I found Lauren extraordinarily snobby. She would barely acknowledge my presence. She was on her phone most of the time. I knew the Nxivm case was high profile. But acted professionally and acted as if it was any other workday. It was uneventful. I drove her to her appointment and back home.
The next part is strange:
Lauren and Nancy were at a place with me. They were punishing themselves by having people tie them up and blindfold them. They would have their heads held underwater for a few seconds, like water boarding. This went on for hours. But they did not have to be there. They voluntarily were letting people punish them as some sort of penance. Very weird. I was concerned but they seemed ok with it. Why were they punishing themselves?
The last part of the dream:
I was in Lauren’s fancy apartment. Like before, she wanted nothing to do with me, which was fine, but very noticeable. She had wealthy, powerful friends like the Bronfman’s, professional athletes, celebrities, etc. arriving at her place and hanging out.
Eventually, Nancy asked Lauren to bring me to the airport, which was strange that she was now escorting me around. Over the course of the last part of the dream, I had developed feelings for Lauren, even though it was not mutual. I was attracted to her.
While I was awaiting my plane, to board, Lauren and I were talking. Eventually, we were laughing, making eye contact, joking, people watching, etc. She was starting to get to know me and we connected. Eventually my plane arrived. We hugged and kissed, somewhat passionately. I boarded my plane and left. Then woke up.
I wonder where the dream would have led?
I am happily married family man.
Why did I dream about Nxivm?
And why did I dream about Lauren?

I recall one scene in the Vow, Lauren was dancing while Vantard was playing piano. In that one scene, she looked absolutely stunning. Hard to describe, she was being silly and kinda twirling around, but I saw pure beauty in her in that one scene.
Not sure why Lauren. But I will say, and I am not trying to be mean, but Lauren has kind of a large nose. Maybe its a kink for that? Every guy has a kink, or several, or many. I have a few, like women who have shorter hair. When Nicki had short hair, I found her super attractive. When she grew it back not as much. Think about other women you find attractive see if there are similarities (like large noses).

For me, I can’t say anything about the smell of their breath in regards of whether it’s bad or not because I’ve never been close enough to either of them to entertain either or. So I make no judgements about it either way.

I just find it interesting how people make up the damndest things about people on comment boards without any evidence and people believe it! That doesn’t mean I’m defending Lauren and her sins against people! I’m just saying two wrongs don’t make a right!
I was just curious what the individual would say in defense of his accusations of “stinky breath” when he/she was pressed on how he/she could say either or! If it was anything else personal like that, I would’ve done the same for anybody!
For example, if somebody said “Ted Bundy has a small dick”, I would also question them on how they know that seeing the fact that he is dead now as well as how they interacted with him and live to tell the tale. That doesn’t mean that I admire Ted Bundy or think he’s a good guy! Ted Bundy is a monster, but I find it funny when people use that as a justification to add on gossip and rumors on top of truth and because these are bad people, nobody cares that lies are added onto truth!
