Please explain to me why you have a problem with OUR president? Because he has misspoke a few times? Tell me when you find a perfect person, please….I’ll wait!

I’ll tell you why, because the media has skewed him in such a negative light and unfairly report his accomplishments to undermine those achievements! Why? Because the media is complicit in every single thing this man is trying to undo!

Start thinking for yourself!

  • […]  All one hundred and twenty five key achievements of President Trump are available from the   White House’s own publication(https://www.whitehouse.gov/trump-administration-accomplishments/) or independently  from a  publication of a former New York times journalist, Frank Parlato(https://frankreport.com/2020/04/18/one-hundred-twenty-five-amazing-accomplishments-of-president-dona…). […]

  • I will give you your points, though counting the same item in multiple achievements is a very Trump thing to do. The intolerance, vindictive, and selfish handling of a multitude of issues is my biggest reason for my dislike of President Trump. From half-truths and attempting to withdraw the US from multiple important world organizations such as the Paris Climate Accords and the World Health Organization tops my list of reasons. The manner in which he represents the country that I proudly live in and love makes me sad. His child-like reactions to things that are beyond his control, choosing not to listen to professionals on important topics because it doesn’t match his narrative is just maddening. I could research a numerous amount of times the President has contradicted himself but if you’ve only paid half attention to any of it you already know of many of them. I understand the job of the President is difficult and not all deeds are weighted the same, but no matter what, how the President presents himself is how all others look at US citizens and, in my opinion, he is not representing what it is to be an American.

    • President Trump puts we the people first…his job is not to tiptoe around people’s feelings. It’s to do his best job for all of us. Why does anyone care how we look to foreigners? They do not run our country or pay our bills, plus they can’t wait to move here. The USA backs up our many allies, even smaller countries like Taiwan. Trump doesn’t “bow” to the Middle East or Communist countries like our weak previous administration. We now export more oil than we import thanks to him. Who let China take control over 90 % of our prescription drugs? The president is working on getting drugs from other sources, including Canada.
The Mueller Report was nothing but a 2 year waste of taxpayer’s money and proved nothing. It was all about discrediting the president and taking back control of the White House.
94% of Covid deaths were due to pre-existing conditions. Covid was coming to the US just like it went global. There was no stopping it…no matter who was in charge. People refused to follow health guidelines without a care of spreading the disease to others because they thought the government was taking away their rights. Now they have the audacity to blame one person for their own stupid actions.
Trump was impeached for trying to expose Biden’s monetary gains while he was VP. Biden ignored his “conflict of interest”. Made millions for his family. Trump signed his businesses over to his sons before taking office. I don’t care how nuch money he made before being elected. I do care about all of the politicians who became rich after being elected. Trump isn’t perfect. Nobody is, but with him, our country has a better chance of moving forward and hopefully, with a vaccine, will put Covid in the past where it belongs. People… start thinking for yourselves. What media is not biased? They endorse a particular candidate…you will not see anything postitive about that candidate’s opponents. Look up the facts, compare them. Vote! If you don’t vote, then stop whining about who is in office. That’s my 2 cents.

    • So he can do no good??? He is all bad right?????? This is your ego talking. I know because I was you and I was blown away that the media actually was fake, not just biased but willfully deceiving us. Just look into it. Yes, Trump has some faults but that doesn’t mean he isn’t the best president we have had in a while.

    • Obama talked the US down to dozens of countries during his term, gave away what 30% of our uranium to Russia, and was an international embarrassment. He Apoligized for our greatness. The US is the greatest experiment ever on the face of this earth, especially beyond those whom progressives worship like Mao, Stalin, Castro, and a ton of other socialist failures. Is he a pompas windbag…sure. A racist homophobe….hell no.

    • Yes. He doesn’t present well, he’s too real,, unlike the well versed charmers, who present as good, but who we now know did atrocious things.

  • 220,000 Americans dead due to the coronavirus, as of this writing, on his watch. The US has 4% of the world’s population but 25% of its coronavirus deaths. https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/06/30/the-us-has-4-of-the-worlds-population-but-25-of-its-coronavirus-cases/

Impeachment was justified due to unethical and treasonous conversations with a foreign leader to help aid in his re-election bid. The only reason he was not removed from office was due to votes almost entirely along party lines.

This administration has had more cabinet members and associates of his go to prison or be indicted than any other in national history while in office. https://www.forbes.com/sites/jemimamcevoy/2020/08/20/bannon-joins-long-list-of-trump-associates-who-have-been-charged-or-imprisoned/#cfc84fb5ea45

  • Most of the items listed were accomplished by others, not things he accomplished on his own. Signing bills written by others are the accomplishments of the persons who wrote the bills, not Trump. Some are things that simply happened on their own. The economic growth listed simply follows the upward trend that started under Obama after the Obama administration recovery from the 2008 economic collapse that happened under Bush. The school choice bill actually takes money away from public schools. The list is an exaggeration of his accomplishments and is very misleading. Look at the last items in the list and you’ll see they aren’t even accomplishments, there aren’t even 125 listed. The list is padded with BS.
His negative actions, in particular his huge tax cuts for the wealthy, his handling of the Corona virus, his stack on environmental protections, the huge growth of the federal deficit far out way the good he may have done

  • Anyone who disagrees with President Trump’s righteousness MUST be willing to evaluate their OWN self-worth and see where THEY have failed as supposed “Americans”, while desiring to be woken up on how to genuinely stand up for/defend America INSTEAD of working against her and living as hypocrital bullies! 🤢🤢🤢🙏🛐🛐🛐

Precious God, have mercy on ALL of us!!!

    • When you make an argument please check some basics.
This article has been listed on April while the NYtimes on September 11.
      Who’s taken what???

      • Also, this article is titled “125 accomplishments”, so naturally they would not list non-accomplishments. If you want a thorough analysis of what he has done, my suggestions is look for a specific article that talks about that, not criticize/compare to an article with a totally different stance.

    • It’s his accomplishments, not his criticisms. If you want to see his bad side, just watch the news. Who doesn’t have criticisms of Trump??

  • Those who ignore the accomplishments and only focus on the negatives are doomed from any peace or tranquility. The left wing media is rolling out every mis-truth, manipulated information and hearsay to undermine the Executive office. I thank the Frank Report for leveling the field, but the liberals will dismiss all as fiction to fit their feeble narrative. Such a sorry group of fools.

  • Most if not all of his “accomplishments” have made zero improvement in my life. The presently elected leaders are virtually useless, including Trump.

If he wasn’t such a dipshit, I might vote for him. Biden sucks too, so I’m sitting this election out

  • Aren’t we getting tired of partisan extremism? We don’t have an ideal candidate or an ideal party from either side. Both sides spend too much time “mudslinging”. Deifying Trump as though he can do no wrong or demonizing Biden and calling him a communist just creates division and keeps people from seeing clearly or even having mature conversation. The same concept in the other direction. Let’s accept that both sides have good and bad points and stop with the emotional vitriol in either direction. The list of accomplishments is helpful because it’s information, not spewing hate or demonizing. The list of negative points is also important and should not be just brushed off by zealous partisan supporters. Please look at both sides realistically before you cast your vote.

    • Steve – I’m not sure Biden knows what he wants. But I can tell you that in 47 years he has done NOTHING to benefit anyone but himself. Even currently the Dem add for him states that ‘Trump is lying again. Joe Biden will not raise taxes….’. However, I saw the speech he gave where he specifically stated that he is not going to be lowering taxes but that he is going to raise them showing that they are specifically lying. There are many of these to site. However, both the Democrat elite as a whole as well as Kamala have specifically stated policy intent for destroying things that have made the US the super power (in so many ways) that it became and was continuing to become before the policies of the Democrats and the RINOs began blatantly implementing that lead to or will lead to a socialist agenda. No one is deifying Trump. They are finally extremely happy that someone they voted for based on their promises is ACTUALLY doing it. However, based on the comment you made and the wording it shows, although you tried to veil it, you are in fact a Biden supporter who is either ignorant of the truth on either side or a liar. Trump is by no means perfect but I am looking at the promises, the promises kept and how they are kept. One example is a bill that Obama ‘signed’ into law that would help many BUT he never funded. Trump authorized the funding. The recognition of of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and the move of the embassy to Jerusalem was a matter of law enacted by Congress ’10 YEARS PRIOR’ to his presidency. Yet no one enacted it during that entire time. Trump did. By the way…’partisan extremism’. You really do NOT understand. Currently you have the ‘right’ which cares about THIS country as a primary and the freedoms that we were endowed with and have been privy to in the past which provided the prosperity that we enjoyed,,,prior to the degradation by deceivers prior to Trump’s election. The ‘left’ have moved so far left that the steps they have taken and the actions they have promised have been and will continue to destroy this country (and the countries that we protect) for a socialist agenda. Their is an ‘extreme’ difference between the intended direction by each. You are darned right their is ‘partisan extremism’. That comment alone shows you have no clue OR you do and are trying to incite. I’m so sorry for you.

      • Biden will NOT be President if elected. Why is no one talking about Harris? She’s going to be in charge within 6 months if they are elected. What is her record? Her experience? How is she qualified to protect the interests of this nation against China, Russia, etc? What are her plans for our economy? Where are the questions for the person everyone knows will be running the country? The 25th amendment is for BIDEN, not Trump and we all know it. The fact that people are voting for a man who appears to be cognitively declining nearing 80 years old without any regard to who the VP is politically is truly frightening. She had to drop out of the primary race because no one supported her, yet here she is poised to be in charge?

  • One of the best Presidents ever and almost the only one who delivered on his promises! Please vote for Trump again in 2020! We may not like all the words he uses, nor his style, but you cannot say he doesn’t love this country or works so very hard for all those living here!

    • Thank you, Janie! Exquisitely stated. I fear there are many who do not feel the same for this country but God still reigns! His Will be done.

  • Is there any way to get this via text message? I could then encourage people to “text ______ to ______” (a key word and number)! Doing that for another list I have gotten!

  • I’m thinking for myself…… that Trump is morally bankrupt, a pathological liar, a narcissist only interested in himself, a tyrant who forces loyalty to him rather than commitment to doing their job, a con-artist whose friends all end up being arrested while Trump pretends he barely knows them, a man of such low intelligence and character that he is an embarrassment to our country. Compare his speeches to past presidents and he comes across as a power hungry fool. with the maturity of a 6th grader calling people who don’t support him by silly names. This is just the mere tip of the iceberg. Does anybody really believe that all the news companies in this country focus on fake news…… Give me a break. The fake news is Trump.

      • I’d call myself anonymous too if I couldn’t handle facts that are right in front of me. Ask any of those low income people if they don’t appreciate the tax credits for their children. The bible accurately predicted the day that people will willingly believe a lie and speak against the truth. I’d hate to be in that camp on judgement day.

    • You aren’t thinking. You are being programmed. Listen to the words coming out of Biden’s mouth. He is a puppet. Harris is a disaster. Look at her record in California and how she got her positions in politics. You may not like Trump or people that they are trying to blame him for but be careful what you wish for or you will be living under a totalitarian government VERY soon. Trump is speaking out for the unborn and the people of faith. BLM on their website condemns the family, which are the strength of our nation. Freedom and the Constitution and Bill of Rights won’t even be a memory as the leftists have infiltrated our public schools and colleges and are teaching pornographic sex ed and indoctrinating student with collectivist propaganda. Young people, a large percentage that are white is what you are seeing in the burning and looting that is going on in major cities with the complicity of Democratic mayors and city councils. I just gave you a break.

    • All unexplained accusation, how about you take just one of those accusations and sway us with some facts. Prove your point. I heard that [redacted]

    • Seriously – speeches are what you are going to reference?
He doesn’t follow the script which is what politicians do.

      Let’s rephrase ‘fake news.’

      Journalism is a lost art.

    • funny how you can say all that and not even give your name, that is how liberals speak, they really don’t want anyone to know how they are hate mongers, man up and show your name.

    • Not a popularity contest. Vote for the platform of the party that you believe in. Which platform of which party will help American citizens and our country? Higher taxes or lower taxes? Right to life or choice? Open borders or closed borders? A leader who protects the Constitution or ignores its freedoms, etc. That is what should determine your vote. Keep informed and you can justify your vote.

      • Exactly. When given these facts and told that they were enacted by a democrat, left leaning people agree wholeheartedly. When told that they are really Trump policies and he’s actually accomplished these things, they are speechless. This is what we are dealing with. If people voted on policy alone, most (even most democrats) would vote for Trump.

    • I agree with anonymous. My name is Tracey Graham. Most of my life I have been an Independent voter. Disagree with a lot on both side but still I believe Trump is a fraud. Attack away.. because after the last 4 years I have seen him divide us Americans. It is sad.

      • It’s so cute to see people complain about Trump dividing the nation as if they were born yesterday.

In reality the left has been dividing the nation since the time of the Beats (if not before). There is not one institution or tradition they have not attacked or undermined for the last 60 years. Go ahead. Name one.

You’re now seeing it right before yer eyes with pro sports. Nothing and no one is unmolested by the Marxists.

But you want to blame Trump, who hasn’t even been in office 4 years. This is ahistoric nonsense. Trump is a long-delayed REACTION to division, not the cause of it.

        • If people can argue that this inflated and misleading list would sound good if Trump’s name weren’t on it, when many of these actual “achievements” build on multizyear trends and existing legislation, why is it unreasonable to also talk about him presiding over societal breakdown and historic division?

If he gets credit for stocks going up and unemployment going down, which are largely independent of the person in power, he should certainly be blamed for incivility – when he is literally stoking and okaying that by his words and actions.

      • And still, you Trump haters offer ZERO facts. You simply dislike his personality. Do you honestly think that the lifer politicians who have done nothing for the people all these years are really the way they appear in front of you? I would take a rough around the edges real person than a fake criminal who presents a false front, lying to our faces, but are the most vile, criminal, self serving monsters behind the scenes. It’s moronic that anyone would choose that over someone who has actually accomplished something. It’s all just privileged snobs who think he acts beneath them. It’s a class thing. There are ZERO facts and is all about class and snobbery.

        • I watch cspan and read both sides of the spectrum. What I see most is media twisting the truth and sometimes outright lies about things coming from the right. I recommend everyone educate themselves instead of relying on some media personality. Gone are the days when you could depend on a person or network to tell the truth.

    • Reply to Anonomous comment : Of course your anonomous behind your comment, because you couldn’t be further from the truth. You are probably just another puppet getting paid by George Sorros for your bs comments. Lol

    • I believe you covered everything you said quite well! He is a narcisisstic, dictator and the American people will be much better off without him. America has to build it’s credibility again with it’s allies because a lot was lost with Trump as President. We are sick of his tweeting and sick of how he has handled the Pandemic! Good ridence!

    • The mainstream media is not “objective” news anymore and it hasn’t been for a long time. They are a mouthpiece for the corrupt government to cover up all of their crimes. It is straight up propaganda. Why did these “news” organizations not tear apart every other president like they do Trump? Them, and Pelosi and the dems, could have impeached Bush jr. easily for lying about Iraq. Why didn’t they? If you dig deep enough you’d know that ALL U.S presidents could be charged with war crimes. Almost every one was a philanderer. Why didn’t these “news” organizations expose that stuff? Why are they just going after Trump? It’s because he’s not part of the Washington swamp. He’s not part of the den of criminals that are on both sides of the isle who have been slowly destroying the country for years while lining their pockets. Sure Trumps personality is rough around the edges, and I’m sure he’s had his fair share of shady deals, but you can’t honestly look at all those accomplishments and say he’s hurting the country. The mainstream corporate media and their corrupt cronies in Washington are purposefully trying to ruin Trump because he’s rattling their cages and tipping their boats. Their gravy train is almost empty. Without a doubt they are the enemy of the people and it’s about time someone in a position of authority called them out for it.

      • “We’re an ignorant nation right now. We’re not really capable, I do not think, the majority of our people, of making the decisions that have to be made at election time and particularly in the selection of their legislatures and their Congress and the presidency, of course. I don’t think we’re bright enough to do the job that would preserve our democracy, our republic. I think we’re in serious danger.” Walter Cronkite 2005 A true newsman who ONLY shared the news, not his opinion. You cannot even get the news now without every single news station steering the story the way they want it – which is primarily left. People need to educate themselves and stop believing that the liberal party has some utopian plan for us all – we are all going to suffer together the consequences of less freedom, more taxes, and radical views regarding our country.

    • Being given the freedom to succeed and build personal wealth for your family with lower taxes and less regulation is not tyranny. Being given every opportunity to create the life you want s NOT tyranny. Controlling the ‘news’ and information people hear and see, over taxing people, limiting personal freedoms – THAT IS TYRANNY. I won’t argue that Trump isn’t immature or narcissistic, he is. It doesn’t change his achievements for the benefit of the American People, putting people first, decreasing the governments involvement in individual lives, making sure people keep more of their own money in their pockets with less taxation – that is FREEDOM. He supports the tenants of the Constitution and does exactly what he was elected to do. The most concerning aspect of our current political system is that there aren’t term limits on these politicians who are power hungry and getting wealthy off their corruption. None of them are concerned with doing a JOB. Their passion, if they ever had one, to do the ‘will of the people’ is long gone and 40+ years later they have very little to show for their time in office other than their arrogance and self importance that is always centered on their own interests. That isn’t acceptable and all people should be concerned about that.

  • Thank you for this list!!! I can’t wait to vote for Trump and Republicans in November! The uninformed Socialist Democrats are striving for new world order… Our votes can stop them from destroying the USA. Trump may not be the most eloquent speaker but he says what he means and means what he says. He’s not perfect but he is the right man for the right job as our President and deserves a second term! I’m proud of him and his team! I couldn’t endure the hate he has had to endure every single day while he kept the promises that he made during his first campaign. I would rather have him as a speaker and worker than a Biden hidden away and controlled. Our President isn’t owned or controlled by anybody. Praise be to God for President Trump! We need Trump. He is all that stands between us and Socilaism! Vote Trump in November. Drive people to the polls. Stand strong for this great President…learn facts and fight back with them!

  • 1. Authoritarian tendencies and affinity for dictators
    a. Trump on having absolute authority:
    i. “As has been stated by numerous legal scholars, I have the absolute right to PARDON myself.”
ii. “Then I have Article II, where I have the right to do whatever I want as President.”
iii. “When somebody’s the President of the United States, the authority is total. And that is the way it’s gonna be. It’s total. And the governors know that.”
    b. Trump on Kim Jong Un: “He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”
    c. Trump on domestic use of military, heavy handedness (posse comitatus, 4th Amendment issues)
    i. “These THUGS are dishonoring the memory of George Floyd and I won’t let that happen. Just spoke to Governor Tim Waltz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts the shooting starts.”
ii. “Anybody throwing stones, rocks, like they did to Mexico and the Mexican military, Mexican police, where they badly hurt police and soldiers of Mexico, we will consider that a firearm…Because there’s not much difference…”
    d. Trump on stronger control over DOJ: “But, you know, the saddest thing is, because I am the President of the United States, I am not supposed to be involved in the Justice Department. I’m not supposed to be involved with the FBI. I’m not supposed to be doing the things I would love to be doing and I am very frustrated by it.”
    e. Trump hearts Putin. Hard.
    i. Nice little mashup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR8JW2Sjhp4&feature=youtu.be
    f. Trump and Viktor Orban, Hungarian PM (numerous indications of Hungary sliding towards authoritarianism since 2010 under Orban’s involvement in gov’t)
    i. “Donald Trump showered praise on Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán for a ‘tremendous job’ and shrugged off complaints that his White House visit represents a reward for the erosion of democracy in Hungary and Orbán’s close ties to the Kremlin.”
ii. Sitting alongside Orbán in the Oval Office, Trump declared it a “great honour” to host Orbán, who he claimed was “highly respected all over Europe”, particularly for his anti-immigration policies.
iii. “I know he’s a tough man but he’s a respected man,” Trump said during a friendly photo-op at the start of the talks on Monday. “Probably, like me, a little bit controversial, but that’s OK. That’s OK.”
    g. Trump on Uighur concentration camps in Xinjiang (according to neoconservative hawk Amb Bolton): “Xi “explained to Trump why he was basically building concentration camps in Xinjiang,” Bolton wrote, citing the interpreter’s account. The interpreter added that “Trump said that Xi should go ahead with building the camps, which Trump thought was exactly the right thing to do,”
    2. People I respect:
    a. General Mattis (Fmr 4 Star General and SecDef):
    i. “We are witnessing the consequences of three years of this deliberate effort [to divide Americans]. We are witnessing the consequences of three years without mature leadership.”
ii. Implying Trump, Mattis stated Americans should “reject and hold accountable those in office who would make a mockery of our Constitution.”
iii. Trump believes Gen Mattis is “the world’s most overrated general.” I somehow think every Marine ever disagrees with POTUS on that one.
    b. General John Kelly (Fmr 3 Star General, Fmr Sec Homeland Security, Fmr Chief of Staff):
    i. “I agree with him [Mattis]. I think we need to step back from the politics … the separation of powers is very, very, very important. No president ever is a dictator or a king — just like the courts have to work with the other two branches, that the Congress has got oversight that they must, must, must, execute,”
ii. “I think we need to look harder at who we elect,” referring to Trump
    c. Long-time Conservative commentator and Pulitzer-Prize winner George Will:
    i. “This unraveling presidency began with the Crybaby-in-Chief banging his spoon on his highchair tray to protest a photograph — a photograph — showing that his inauguration crowd the day before had been smaller than the one four years previous. Since then, this weak person’s idea of a strong person, this chest-pounding advertisement of his own gnawing insecurities, this low-rent Lear raging on his Twitter-heath has proven that the phrase malignant buffoon is not an oxymoron,”
ii. “I believe that what this president has done to our culture, to our civic discourse … you cannot unring these bells and you cannot unsay what he has said, and you cannot change that he has now in a very short time made it seem normal for schoolboy taunts and obvious lies to be spun out in a constant stream. I think this will do more lasting damage than Richard Nixon’s surreptitious burglaries did.”
    d. Admiral Mike Mullen (Fmr 4 Star Admiral, CNO, and Chairman of Joint Chiefs):
    i. “Whatever Trump’s goal in conducting his visit [to St. John’s Church], he laid bare his disdain for the rights of peaceful protest in this country, gave succor to the leaders of other countries who take comfort in our domestic strife, and risked further politicizing the men and women of our armed forces.”
    e. Gen Colin Powell (Fmr 4 Star Gen & SecState):
    i. “We have a Constitution. And we have to follow that Constitution. And the President [Trump] has drifted away from it.”
    f. Adm McRaven (Fmr 4 Star Adm & Cmdr Special Operations Command)
    i. “The president said the news media is the enemy of the American people,” McRaven said in a speech at the University of Texas on February 21, 2017. “This sentiment may be the greatest threat to democracy in my lifetime.”
ii. “A good leader sets the example for others to follow,” McRaven added. “A good leader always puts the welfare of others before himself or herself…Your leadership, however, has shown little of these qualities,” McRaven wrote of Trump. “Through your actions, you have embarrassed us in the eyes of our children, humiliated us on the world stage and, worst of all, divided us as a nation.”
    g. Robert Gates (Fmr Dir CIA, Fmr SecDef, Fmr President TAMU)
    i. Trump “is stubbornly uninformed about the world and how to lead our country” and “temperamentally unsuited to lead our men and women in uniform.”
    h. Michael Hayden (Fmr 4 Star General, Dir CIA, Dir NSA)
    i. On Trump being open to receiving foreign intelligence on domestic rivals: “The American President would do that? It’s truly unbelievable.”
    ii. “You’re an idiot. Truly.”
    i. Steve Forbes (from Conservative financial site Forbes.com) on Trump: “It’s been a mixed message. His tax plan is pretty good. It’s not a flat tax, which I advocate, and several other candidates have gotten on board. Certainly what he’s proposed is better than what we have today. On trade, I am a free trader. I don’t want tariffs — to me, tariffs are taxes. And on immigration, I think his proposals are a non-starter, legally and morally.” https://www.thestreet.com/politics/steve-forbes-on-donald-trump-and-his-hoo-ha-13395549
    3. Economics
    a. Increased deficits during a strong economy…WHY?: “President Trump on the other hand [compared to Obama] was handed an economy that was growing. In 2017, his first year in office the deficit grew to $666 billion, was $984 billion last year and is projected to be over $1 trillion in 2020 at $1.02 trillion. This would be a 74% increase in just four years and going forward the Federal deficit could escalate to $1.7 trillion in 2030.” Trump’s Deficits are Racing Past Obama’s https://www.forbes.com/sites/chuckjones/2020/02/01/trumps-deficits-are-racing-past-obamas/#793bf01a4819
    b. Trumpist support for mercantilism and infant-industry (import substitution):
    i. In general, higher tariffs on imported items increase costs to US consumers. It also thereby makes US exports less competitive in price. In the end, you have less total consumption and less efficient use of American talent, as US companies are protected against foreign competition and don’t need to churn out products of higher quality to compete in the US market. This is in strong opposition to basically all economic theory that came later:
    1. Adam Smith (Wealth of Nations) and “Absolute Advantage”; “Invisible hand” of free market guides decisions & outcomes. Innovation requires possibility of failure and competition. (See also “creative destruction”)
    2. Riccardo and Comparative Advantage – Countries/businesses should specialize in what they are comparatively good at. Specialization + trade = increased total production on both sides. “When economies turn inward, the almost always turn downward”;
    3. John Maynard Keynes: primary culprit in a recession is too much savings, so the gov’t should encourage spending through tax cuts, direct payments, etc. Trump did a tax cut at the top of the market, which is the exact worse time (and has the least affect) to do one. Keynes advocated deficit spending during recession, then a return to balanced budget during good times.
    4. Milton Friedman and the monetarists: tax cuts/rebates have weak economic affect anyways, and believe the Federal Reserve (monetary policy) is the strongest economic lever.
    4. Corruption
    a. Profiting from office and emoluments (US Constitution, Article 1, Sec 9)(“Profit arising from employment or office”). Examples:
    i. Use of Mar-a-Lago membership & marketing for official purposes;
ii. $270,000 paid by a lobbying firm tied to Saudi Arabia for 500 nights of rooms at Trump’s DC hotel around his inauguration
iii. Embassy of the Philippines — Trump has a friendly relationship with that country’s strongman leader — held an event at Trump hotels and admitted they were hoping it would send a statement of closeness with the President, according to an interview with a Philippines TV station quoted by the Post
iv. Use of Trump Hotel, Trump gear, Trump wine… for official purposes…numerous examples.
    v. High-level Chinese investment in Kushner companies & Trump resort
vi. September 29, 2017, “The U.S. Secret Service, which must provide security for the president during each of his taxpayer-funded weekend trips to properties that bear his name, signs an eight-month contract worth $61,960 to rent golf carts at the Trump International Golf Club in Florida.”
vii. “Trump has visited or stayed at one of his properties almost one out of every three days that he has been president according to both The Wall Street Journal and NBC News.”
    b. Drain the swamp? 281 lobbyists in the administration as of 10/2019. “The number of lobbyists who have served in government jobs is four times more than the Obama administration had six years into office.”
    c. More on Kushner: “The New York Times reports that while Joshua Harris, a top executive at private equity firm Apollo Global Management, was meeting with Kushner to discuss infrastructure policy and a potential administration job for Harris, Apollo also loaned Kushner Cos. $184 million to refinance the debt on a Chicago property. That is three times the average real estate loan for Apollo. After Kushner met with Michael L. Corbat, the chief executive of Citigroup, the bank loaned Kushner Cos. $325 million for a development in Brooklyn. This cannot possibly be a coincidence…”
    5. Lies…constant lies
    a. Trump Is Lying More Than Ever: Just Look At The Data https://www.forbes.com/sites/davidmarkowitz/2020/05/05/trump-is-lying-more-than-ever-just-look-at-the-data/#4efaaee21e17
    i. Forbes tends has always run conservative, just not always on Trump…
    b. President Trump made 18,000 false or misleading claims in 1,170 days https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2020/04/14/president-trump-made-18000-false-or-misleading-claims-1170-days/
    c. ‘Tsunami of untruths’: Trump has made 20,000 false or misleading claims – report https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jul/13/donald-trump-20000-false-or-misleading-claims
    6. Miscellaneous…
    a. Stable genius! “Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart… I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius….and a very stable genius at that!”
    i. As a note…I can’t think of any circumstance under which one would describe themselves as a “stable genius” and actually be a stable genius…
    b. Moats and shooting illegal immigrants: “Privately, the president had often talked about fortifying a border wall with a water-filled trench, stocked with snakes or alligators, prompting aides to seek a cost estimate. He wanted the wall electrified, with spikes on top that could pierce human flesh. After publicly suggesting that soldiers shoot migrants if they threw rocks, the president backed off when his staff told him that was illegal. But later in a meeting, aides recalled, he suggested that they shoot migrants in the legs to slow them down. That’s not allowed either, they told him.” – “This article is based on interviews with more than a dozen White House and administration officials directly involved in the events of that week in March.”
    c. Trump has trouble admitting Russia interfered in the US election to help him win, even though GCHQ, CIA, NSA, DHS, State, and FBI all concluded that’s what happened.
    i. “The New York Times Magazine claimed that the Trump administration last year pressured the Office of the Director of National Intelligence to delete part of a report that concluded Russia was aiming to help Trump win reelection in 2020. When former director of national intelligence Dan Coats refused to delete that conclusion from the report, Trump forced him to retire earlier than planning.”
ii. “I accept our intelligence community’s conclusion that Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election took place,” he said, then added: “It could be other people also. There’s a lot of people out there.”
iii. And that’s not to mention the banging of porn stars and paying for their silence, the Mueller stuff which will undoubtedly come up after AG Barr is no longer there protecting POTUS, Ukraine quid pro quo, and many others.
iv. In short, on account of morals, ethics, political/economic worldview, and the using of Christianity to advance what are certainly not Christian values (see St. John’s photo op, all moral/ethical/lying/corruption issues), I would not want my children to think like him or grow up thinking it is OK to be like him. On a scale of 1-10, I will gladly vote for a 4 to avoid a 2, and that is why I will be voting for Biden this November.

    • Jose Morales: You seem to fill in the blanks for your personal narrative. Evidently, you did not read his accomplishments. All of this is unimportant compared to life. Blink. Just blink your eyes. That blink time is centuries compared to eternal life with or without God. Trump’s main job is to save lives, born and unborn. He does a good job and speaks about it. Will Biden do that? Biden once believed it was wrong to force us taxpayers to pay for the killing of babies. God himself said, “In the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you.” These are God’s children, too. The Democratic platform often uses immoral means to justify their ends, and now they even think it’s okay to kill one of God’s children when he/she can live outside the womb. I’m sorry to say that Biden is now doing Satan’s bidding, although he probably doesn’t know that as many don’t, but you now do.

For those who could care less about abortion policies affecting your vote, just know that this type of thinking is what he will now do … an immoral means can be done to justify his goal. We can’t have a leader like that. It’s just like Biden says, “We choose truth over facts.” … his truth, his beliefs that will change based on whomever leans on him the hardest, just like he’s already proven. Our President has to be a fighter who has conviction, or he will succumb to the mob. President Trump has not and will not do that.

Trump had it all … a family who loves him; plenty of money; businesses to keep him involved and busy, etc. He didn’t need to become President, but he realized that if he did not, there would be no one else to fight for regular middle-class Americans like me. Jesus sent him (just like he sent a General Patton, who was not nice with e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e.), and just as it states many times in the bible, God did not always send the nicest men; he sent the men/women who would get the job done. Trump treats everyone equally, which rips the media and left, because they think Trump should take into account the type of human being he is talking to (female, black, yellow, brown, Jewish, Muslim, etc.). The media and liberals are the most prejudice of all. They are also the most judgmental. They smear and ridicule any black persons supporting Trump. They crucify people who change from Democrat to Republican.

I pray people reading this vote for Trump … I would lay down my life for him, because he is the only one who fights the swamp, those who want to control us, those who want to put an end to our way of life; those who want to make everything equal (well, except those in power) – DESPITE WHAT HISTORY HAS TAUGHT US FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS, JUST LIKE WHAT HAPPENED IN VENEZUELA. Our faith can be equal, but our “stuff” will never be equal and should never be equal … that is control. That is stealing. The wealthy people I know do share; do give much, but then again, our crooked media never talks about that. Are you laughing, now, about my talking about Jesus sending Trump? Just think about it … there are probably thousands of satanic people out to kill Trump, but he is still here v… he is being protected.

          • Like it or not the extreme religious views of the right alienate moderate people. And you need the moderates to win. Your beliefs about ‘god’ are your right, and I support your right to be in church 24/7 if that is what you choose. However, you do not have the right to shove your religious views down my throat. I vehemently disagree with abortion after the first trimester. 3 months is enough time to sort your options. That’s my opinion. Medically speaking the baby is not viable until around 5 months. In order to get along in ANY relationship, people have to compromise. It seems to me that no abortions after the first trimester would be a good compromise for both sides. But no one actually wants to get along. We all want it our way. Religion has no place in politics, and should have vacated the stage when we became an independent country separating ourselves from the church (freedoms of religion) and the King, the leader of the church. The right pushes for no abortions, which we know from historical data will lead to the death of women, the left pushes for full-term abortions which is arguably murder-in many states if you kill a pregnant woman and both the baby and mother die you are charged with 2 counts. Both of these positions in my opinion are extreme. Hate if you want, but it is logical to compromise. Everyone won’t be happy, but each side gives a little and gets a little. Compromise. What a novel idea. In a country this large with so many varied backgrounds and religions, you simply can’t lead on a religious platform and unite people. There has to be tolerance and coMpromise.

      • He “hardened Pharaoh’s heart” (Exodus 7:3). This passage out of the very first book of the Bible shows that God uses people, even non-believers. President Trump doesn’t need to be all that righteous in order for God to use him.

Cheruthea drives a good point that, against all odds including the popular vote, when ALL the media agreed that Trump had no path to victory, according to our Constitution, Trump was duly elected president. How was that possible when everyone hated him including ‘old guard Republicans’? Open your eyes.

      • Well said, Cheruthea! Esp the part about President Trump didn’t have to do this, he became President because he can’t stand by and watch our country fall apart.

      • We are not interested in comments that merely insult other commenters. Please give the reasons why you think Jose is wrong, don’t merely insult him.

    • Seriously “On a scale of 1-10, I will gladly vote for a 4 to avoid a 2, and that is why I will be voting for Biden this November.” That’s your bottom line? With 40+ years of being a parasite as a professional Government Huckster & Chief Hair Sniffer… Biden is a ZERO… Pretending America will get a Golden Age of honest politicians just encourages the delusion that toppling Trump is all that is necessary to solve all our problems… not gonna happen… The Democratic Party has gone absolutely insane… Joe “HG&CHS” Biden is a horrible choice for a POTUS…

    • …if a history of false statements and inappropriate comments are disqualifies, then look at Mr Biden who makes false statements and inappropriate statements on a regular basis, including false statements in his recent convention speech, his “then you ain’t black” comment, etc. At least Trump’s demeanor and behavior are paired with a solid record of accomplishments that benefit the whole country, not just special interest groups. No so with Joe…..

I didn’t see where you rebutted the positive claims of the article’s author. Actually, others have listed more than twice as many verifiable Trump accomplishments. Given that Biden has a nearly 50-year track record in federal politics, one might have expected a solid Biden supporter to have countered with a list showing why one ought to vote for Biden. Instead, you let the list of Trump accomplishments stand and, following the DNC convention theme, provided a subjective (and not completely true) list of points that boil down to “orange man bad.” Your rebuttal is laced with opinion, unverifiable quotes, statements that are demonstrably false, and conclusions drawn from assumptions presented as fact.

1- I’d take the time to explain why each of your criticisms is wrong or at least misplaced, but I know it wouldn’t have any effect, so…
2- Still, a couple comments: (a) Just because specific people criticize Trump – even people you and many others respect – doesn’t make the criticism valid. Even generals & admirals, doctors & other scientists, CEOs, etc who are highly competent in their chosen fields have political biases, and they’re just as susceptible as anyone else to criticize Trump based on personal dislike rather than on the merits or lack of vis-a-vis his accomplishments with the economy, terrorism & military readiness, criminal justice reform, etc (i.e., just as susceptible to TDS as anyone else). (b) Not an effective dig to criticize him based on off-hand comments when (i) his actions & accomplishments belie the criticism; (ii) the quote is actually a question or is stating others’ opinions; or (iii) the quote is misconstrued (and what kind of negotiator would he be if he made derogatory, inflammatory comments about his people he’s negotiating with in the middle of the negotiation…you might not like his negotiation style – which includes false flattery, but his net results show it to be more effective than that of his predecessor and the guy who wants to be his successor). (c) If egotism and narcism are disqualifies, then Obama wasn’t qualified; …

…AND if a history of false statements and inappropriate comments are disqualifies, then look at Mr Biden who makes false statements and inappropriate statements on a regular basis, including false statements in his recent convention speech, his “then you ain’t black” comment, etc. At least Trump’s demeanor and behavior are paired with a solid record of accomplishments that benefit the whole country, not just special interest groups. No so with Joe.

      • At the end of the article, the author says, “Please explain to me why you have a problem with OUR president?” A rebuttal of the points is not required.

    • What a sad little person you must be. That list is so full of distortion it’s hard to not to comment line by line. But it wouldn’t matter to you, would it?

  • This list actually contains 78 items once you group the redundancies. Of those 78 there are exactly FOUR items that are both true and the result of Trump’s actions. The remaining 74 are either misleading, flat out lies, or things that happened during the last four years but not as a result of Donald Trump.

  • Great list, albeit with some unnecessary double counting. You hardly read about any objective achievements of his administration. I am not a fan of Trump’s style and personality, but I can’t name many bad resolutions or actions he made. You could add his continued efforts to revitalise the nuclear energy sector, without which the carbon emission reduction goals are unattainable. Current nuclear technology makes it safer than any other form of energy. Currently, 90% of the uranium in the US is imported, which is geopolitically dangerous. I wish the American people a lot of wisdom in the upcoming elections. It will be a tough choice.

  • You could have added this recent to number 1:

“Okay. Thank you very much. It is my honor to sign an executive order — we’re going to be doing it right now — to address a tragedy facing Native American communities: the crisis of missing and murdered American Indians and Alaska Natives, in particular women and children. It’s a tremendous problem. It’s been going on for a long time — many, many decades, beyond that. And we’re going to address it. We’ve addressed it very strongly.”

    • Of course there are no dates nor sources for all this information. Will Trump also be put in jail for sex trafficking? Of course not. He’s just a rich guy that boasts himself and gets away with crimes.

  • Look at all these socialist and democratic acts, bills and legislation passed. Why didn’t they do any of these before when they were in power? Guess it took a Republican to step up.

    • …hold on. Are you arguing that some of Trump’s positive accomplishments are the passing of “socialist” and “democratic” legislation..? Isn’t that a bit.. compromised? Either his actions are applaudable, which the makes the policies good (rendering kneejerk criticism of same moot) or the policies and their champions are awful and anti-American, making his achievements bad.

Or he simply passed things that had been previously held up by Republicans. Or the political divisions are less important than most constantly say. Or…

    • Check it out. Dems mandated recovering COVID-19 patients into nursing homes when WE ALL KNEW elderly were most at risk.

    • 42% of U.S. Coronavirus Deaths Are Linked to Nursing Homes which is 0.6% Of The Population. At least 62,000 residents and workers have died from the coronavirus at nursing homes and other long-term care facilities for older adults in the United States, according to a New York Times database. As of July 30, the virus has infected more than 362,000 people at some 16,000 facilities. While 8 percent of the country’s cases have occurred in long-term care facilities, deaths related to Covid-19 in these facilities account for more than 42 percent of the country’s pandemic fatalities.
And, in 20 states, at least half of deaths are linked to nursing homes.

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo ordered thousands of COVID-19 patients to be sent to nursing homes, while the USNS Comfort, a hospital ship sent to New York to help treat patients, sat empty and unused. On March 29, as New York and other states (New Jersey, Michigan, Pennsylvania, etc) began ordering nursing homes to admit medically stable residents infected with the coronavirus, national trade groups warned it could unnecessarily cost more lives. As many as 4,500 COVID-19 infected patients were sent to nursing homes across the state. In the weeks that followed the March 25 order, COVID-19 tore through New York state’s nursing facilities, killing more than 6,000 people. New Jersey reports 7,000 Resident/Staff deaths at long term care facilities. Michigan reports 2022 Resident COVID-19 Deaths. The health directives put “frail and older adults who reside in nursing homes at risk” and would “result in more people going to the hospital and more deaths,” the American Health Care Association and affiliates said at the time. A month later, it appears government officials should have heeded the dire call to pursue different pandemic emergency plans. The deadly virus has spread like wildfire through many nursing homes across the Northeast, and state officials are scrambling to better protect those most vulnerable to COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus. As recently as April 23, Cuomo declared that nursing homes “don’t have a right to object” to accepting elderly patients with active COVID infections. “That is the rule and that is the regulation and they have to comply with that.” Only on May 10—after the deaths of nearly 3,000 New York residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities—did Cuomo stand down and partially rescind his order.
      The death toll is devastating.

Putting COVID-19 patients in nursing homes was directed by leaders in these states. In regards to New York, President Trump had the USNS Comfort sent, but it was for the most part unused.

Then there is the issue of inaccurate recording of cause of death. For instance, in many states anyone who tests positive and dies is listed as a COVID 19 death, even if they die as a result of a (for example) motorcycle accident, a gun shot wound, etc. In one case, a man who died after testing negative for COVID-19 was included in the state’s overall coronavirus death count.

What about people flocking to beaches in Florida and California or to Lake Havasu (Arizona) or other lakes over the holiday weekends and warm summer months? What about protesters out every night in large numbers in cities like Portland and Seattle?

    • A whole lot more die of the FLU. This Chinese virus is a HOAX and is all about CONTROL. The only thing President Trump should have done is fired Fauci!

    • 100,000 of which wouldn’t be dead if HCQ hadn’t been suddenly banned over the now debunked and trashed Lancet study which conveniently appeared at the outbreak. The governors, like Gretchen Whitless, are already quietly lifting bans because they know they are in for the class action lawsuits of their lives. You people who shouted it down just because President Trump advocated it are murderers.

      • https://c19study.com almost all the ones that are negative are for hospitalized patients, HCQ needs to be taken before the virus starts pneumonia / damaging the lungs to be most effective. Also, most studies don’t mention zinc in the opening sentences. Zinc is the real key, along with azithromycin.

Ivermectin is also a cheap effective drug in place of HCQ, when used with a couple other generic drugs. It is supported by the Australian doctor that discovered stomach ulcers are from bacteria / infection and can be cured, not from stress.

    • What did you expect him to do? He’s not God but a man who does the best he can to help this country. What EXACTLY has the Democrats done? Facts, please!

    • He closed the borders straight away and got torn to shreds and called a racist. Dems encouraged ppl that there was no. For example, I recall a prominent speaker announcing that people should get out to Chinatown. That’s one little fact for you. Where are yours? I’ve yet to see one Trump hater off one single fact in all their trashing of him.

  • the trump locks have gone from golden to white in less than one month – maybe conscience has at last arrived…see his crumpled brow

    • His crown of wisdom is his white hair! Being a President of the United States is not easy at all, but look how strong he is for his age! Thank you, Mr.Trump for being a great, hard working POTUS! God bless him, his family and his Administration! 🙏❤👌💪I loved that he is embracing his natural white hair color! Nothing wrong with that. 😍

    • Watch that whole interview, in it’s entirety, in context – yes, it’s crude, but it’s common locker-room jock talk and it was a private off the cuff remark (it doesn’t excuse him) – and you’ll see that he may be an uncouth crude buffoon but he’s no different than any other celebrity, jock, or average joe with a bunch of buds. In other words, he’s genuine, down to earth and not aloof like so many career politicians.

    • Obviously a man writing that comment. Grow up. What were you doing 20 years ago? And how many people still hold all YOUR missteps against you?

    • If you actually listened to the tape, he was describing women who lower themselves to be grabbed in the pussy because of wealth. Shame on those gold diggers! Get your facts straight!

  • Please note several items listed say the same accomplishment with different wording. (Duplications)

    Also, please list:
Numbers of outright lies to American People DAILY.

Signed acts that have a negative impact on low-income families, negative impact on our environment, tax breaks for only 1%….his cronies,

The exact number of times he has violated the EmolumentS Act, lining his and his family’s pockets.

Belittled War Heros and Gold Star families.

Made fun of mentally and physically challenged people.

    Calling people names

Purposely withheld financial aid to Purto Rico (Vindictively)

Idolizes Dictators speaking of them as great people and wonderful friends

Refuses to listen to experts in ANY field and Removes ALL if they question, challenge or disagree with him.

    Has divided this Country

Has made this Great Country the laughing stock on the World Stage

    BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY!

Ignored and dismissed advisors of this Pandemic for TWO FULL MONTHS.

Stop funding The World Health Organization in the middle of a Pandemic

Gave OUR Personal Protective Equipment to China in those early days, knowing the VIRUS was heading our way because he wanted to complete a Trade Deal with China putting the American people in jeopardy.

Then tells us, the White House’s stockpile is for them only, not the States.

The States having to deal with this emergency on their own but claiming HE, as President, has total control, while accepting NO responsibility for the DEATHS OF THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS.

THE BLOOD OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE IS ON HIS HANDS AND HIS ALONE!!

You wanted to know why so many people have a problem with this President because he misspoke a few times……

And this is just for starters…

People, please read, stop listening to this man before he kills us all…

    .

    • Patricia,

Your comments, without any references whatsoever, are a mix of anti-Trump propaganda and all out mistakes.
He is in fact LOSING $ as president – AND – he DONATES his entire pay less $1 a year to charities.
Look that up if you think I am lying.

Then you say: “Purposely withheld financial aid to Purto Rico (Vindictively)”
To start with, you might spell Puerto Rico correctly. It is not Purto Rico.
But the real point here is that aid that he delivered got squandered – a Puerto Ricon (not a Purto Rican)
told me that earlier this week – his name is Miguel Hernandez and he happens to be running against
the Puerto Rican (not Purto Rican) incumbent AOC in NY’s 14th Congressional district.

Veterans, like myself, respect his reform of the VA – it has already saved some lives – one person
who was/is a Dem will be voting for him as he saved her father’s life.

But you may prefer Nancy Pelosi and her freezer full of ice cream. Like too many stupid Dems who
can’t even spell Puerto Rico, but try to use it against Trump.

      • Fact check: Trump has spent far more time at golf clubs than Obama had at same point
By Daniel Dale and Holmes Lybrand, CNN 5/25/2020
Trump does not take a salary because he makes more money by playing golf at the clubs he owns. By the way the country pays for his golf outings. So we have paid him 3.8 million dollars to play golf. Read the above article.

        • Just shows how much better a golfer and president he is than Barry O. He got a lot more done while golfing more. Problem? Oh, and I don’t remember Barry giving up his wages…

        • Trump has reduced White House staffing costs by $23 million compared to Obama. Michelle Obama had almost 40 servants, Melania has less than 10. And Michelle was flying all over the world on vacation trips.

    • And you learned all of this from the MAIN STREAM MEDIA. No wonder you hate him and believe all this crap. Wake up. They are part of the problem. Ruled and controlled by corruption and telling the American people lies.

    • Thank you for giving me hope, Patricia! For a moment, I thought all the respondents were drinking the same Kool-Aid.

    • You people say the same bullshit over and over. Like a bunch if idiotic broken records. “Divided country” wrong, soros with his BLM militants and antifa terrorists are doing that. “Lied to people” wrong, the leftist media does that every day and have been for decades. “Ignored WHO blah blah” Oh, you mean the people who orchestrated this entire bio weapon attack on America alonside China communist party? WHO needs to burn to the ground, Chinese communists will be dealt with. Get some fucking common sense, intelligence, reason / logic or get off the internet and stay away from anything political.

    • No, MSM did that, Patricia. Do a little research before you ignorantly blame Our President. Also look up Obama’s failures. There’s plenty. No president is perfect but he’s a lot more damn transparent than any of the past presidents.

  • All I have too say is WOW….PLEASE VOTE BLUE IN NOVEMBER 💙. SO WE CAN STOP IDIOTS LIKE THIS FROM SPEWING BOGUS CRAP LIKE THIS. #JOEBIDEN2020

    • OK. I guess people ought to vote for Biden – who lets kids crawl around feeling his hairy legs while things pop up?
Or Pelosi, who has great taste in ice cream, as kid lover Biden noted.
How much $ did he get from PR China, and how did Pelosi get so rich while in office?
We know how Trump got rich, he built things.
      Dems destroy.
Yeah, vote blue. And don’t forget to vote Cuomo whose party CLOSED 2 hospitals in NYC – who had
8 friends in jail and might be there himself had the investigation not mysteriously stopped – rapists can
vote for Cuomo as he so generously gave nasty felons the right to vote again.

All of whom I am sure will VOTE BLUE.
