This is in response to the article, Bouchey Tells Audience: ‘I Was in Love With a Wonderful Guy’.
This isn’t intended as a mean joke, but maybe Barbara Bouchey’s problem is menopause and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy a.k.a. butt pellets could provide relief for her chaotic feelings.
Barbara might really not know what is ailing her. Hormonal rebalance can provide some amazing help, almost overnight, for both physical and emotional menopausal or even peri-menopausal symptoms.
Very often past residual pain, trauma and anger recycle themselves during menopause, and it can be distressing and disruptive. Many women don’t recognize our own menopausal symptoms and privately feel as if we’re going crazy. The sudden emotional arcs can be alleviated. You feel like you have yourself back again!
Immense relief is available, and it makes a world of difference.
If this has anything to do with what Barbara Bouchey is experiencing, I pray to heaven that she takes care of it.
Let’s consider the facts:
A romantic relationship that ended 10 years ago – why would anyone choose to allow something that far in the past to continue to be a source of stress, unhappiness or even emphasis? Maybe BB hasn’t been able to completely let it go because she hasn’t resolved the emotional conflicts and disappointments inevitably built into any “intimate” relationship with Raniere. I hope that Barbara cuts the head off of her inner self-blame. It is insidious and depleting, draining her self-dignity.
If, on the other hand, she is doing the Raniere/Bouchey rounds for attention, that’s another story. The only persons who seem to need to ascribe any positivity to the rot of Raniere are those who are still caught up in the illusions which he used to further his position of undisputed supremacy over others.
But really, Keith Raniere is an example of human wreckage, made more complicated by how long he was able to keep it “up.” He never needed BB. Anyone else would’ve done just as well for him.
Anybody DID do, during their entire affair. [He had many women at the same she was calling him her boyfriend]. I think that she dishonors and insults herself by opening her mouth to give him any credit whatsoever. She cannot be blind to the results of Raniere’s actions.

As for the idea suggested by Shivani of getting Bioidentical Hormone Replacement, Nu Femme Rejuvenation Clinic [with five locations Atlanta, Beverly Hills, Houston, Milwaukee, Omaha] tells us the following about The benefits of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy a.k.a. butt pellets
As we enter into a new age of women’s healthcare, awareness and education is essential, especially as it pertains to treatment for menopause. Women have long been duped into believing that synthetically formulated pills, gels and creams is the most effective path to rejuvenating and restoring the female body to a state of optimal revitalization, however. Synthetic medications are chemically enhanced and often mixed with substances such as horse urine (insert “YUCK” face here). Furthermore, research shows that synthetic treatments, are ineffective for the long term, specifically creams or gels. Women complain of having fluctuations in hormone levels with topical creams, as well as the risk factor of transference. Since our metabolism does not recognize synthetic hormones, these treatments are shown to be nothing more than a waste of time and money. Luckily, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) or “butt pellets” is a safe and natural alternative for women.
Bioidentical hormones are derived from all-natural ingredients, including soy beans and yams, and are formulated to mimic each hormone in your body; molecule for molecule. Once the pellets are compressed, a packet of pellets will then be delivered into the upper tissue of the buttocks, which is why The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fondly refers to this treatment as the “butt pellet.” The pellets will be released into your system as your body communicates the necessity of each hormone. “Butt pellets,” or Pellet therapy can last upwards of 6 months, depending on your biological and hormonal need.

Barbara just wants to make money.
This is some solid journalism

“When the sisters’ trust funds ran out, Ms. Bouchey took the pair to Citibank to open two $20 million lines of credit using their future inheritance as collateral-a move that first required a change in trustee. Because the Bronfman family trust was structured by Edgar Sr.’s father, Samuel, to favor younger generations, there was little any concerned party could do to stop them.”
I reckon Bouchey was at the “in between time.” Not disgusted enough or out of faith enough to leave and *trying to fix it* as she was intimidated by the need to please Raniere and the others in the inner circle. You have to remember that Nancy was her “therapist” and Pam Cafritz was acceptable society. Then the Brofmans. It is the intimidation of wealth. And more: As in, trying to make Vanguard love her more than the others. See her for her inherent worth and submission. When he didn’t, and she was too much of a problem, Bouchey had enough self-esteem to take her chances. The Vanguard was going to shun her. Still, Bouchey persisted.
So yes, Ms. Barbara Bouchey, I have to commend you. You stood up to a straight psychopath. They get you to do things that you’d never think you were capable of, as we see.
I have to ask: why is Nancy Salzman getting the boo-hoo? She did the EMs, and knew so much. I suppose she did love the cashmere sweaters and Real Housewives of Clifton Park lifestyle.
When the sisters’ trust funds ran out, Ms. Bouchey took the pair to Citibank to open two $20 million lines of credit using their future inheritance as collateral-a move that first required a change in trustee. Because the Bronfman family trust was structured by Edgar Sr.’s father, Samuel, to favor younger generations, there was little any concerned party could do to stop them.
If I recall correctly, Raniere allegedly tried to get Bouchey and two other women jailed in Mexico on false charges. Where he allegedly hoped they would be tortured, raped and possibly killed.
Bouchey’s issues with Raniere have nothing to do with menopause.
Diane,
I forgot about the Mexican trap Raniere set up for those women.
In addition to the Mexican criminal plot, Raniere had Clare Bronfman sue the sh*t out of Barbara. Literally.
Love is blind.
If any man anywhere ever made the error of calling a woman irrational because of menopause, the resulting fireworks display would be nuclear!
“…long been duped into believing that synthetically formulated pills, gels and creams is the most effective path to rejuvenating and restoring the female body to a state of optimal revitalization, however. Synthetic medications are chemically enhanced… ” Anytime I hear a spiel like this, damning “chemicals” and lauding the “natural”, I confidently expect quackery to follow. It’s all one with Crystal Power, the predictions of Nostradamus, and the anti-vax club. Chemicals are bad for you… well, show me a handful of anything that isn’t chemicals and I’ll eat my hat. There was an episode of NPR’s Science Friday that mentioned a chemical society’s cash prize offered to anyone who could come up with anything that wasn’t made of chemicals. The prize, of course, has forever gone unclaimed.
Bouchey continues to be faithful to her cheating felon lover for the same reason that so many people believe in “natural” cures: people are often irrational. They continue to believe even in the face of overwhelming evidence. We all have that irrational part of ourselves, some more than others. Some a lot more than most. This is why there are cults, because people believe stupid stuff.
There is a huge difference between chemicals that mimic naturally occurring chemicals and artificial chemicals that could have a much more harmful impact on the body, especially when used in combination with other artificial chemicals.
I do believe from Chem101 a chemical is the same chemical whether it is natural, made in a lab or from a meteor.
Amanda,
You are dropping some knowledge and putting the misogynists in their place.
On Frank Report, I don’t know who the male guests dislike more women or liberals because they attack both with equal fervor!!!!
Personally, I think the misogynist guests should join the defunct Society of Protectors.
Most of the drugs used today do not occur in nature.
I think BB is a clever woman who is using this opportunity to get some attention to rebuild her life and make some $. She’s finding a way to present herself and her situation with the least embarassment possible because it it hard to admit one has been a naive gullible fool. I personally don’t find her strategy effective. While I don’t think anyone should go through some of the painful experiences she’s had, I am repelled by her attention grabbing and her “heroic victim” portrayal. There’s a whiff of narcissism in a lot of what she says. Admit you were duped; learn the lesson; and get on with your life. I’d have a lot more respect for that.
The time for BB to speak out about NXIVM was a decade ago. She’s last decade’s story, not today’s story.
You have to realise how disingenuous your supposed sympathy is. You’re basically saying the reason she hasn’t let this traumatic event go is a) because she’s hormonal (a well known stereotype used to dismiss women who express their feelings, and from what I’ve heard, in line with Keith’s misogynistic teachings) or b) she’s simply seeking attention. In either case how could you blame her? She’s finally got a public who will listen to the shit she has had to process. She is a victim. A lot of you are. It’s human to want a pound of flesh back, no matter the avenue one takes. She’s taking hers in the press. You’re taking yours by writing this blog. Fight against the turd who did this not each other.
Your comment “wanting your pound of flesh….by writing on this blog” resonates.
Many of us may come here (without knowing it) because we want to deal with injustices we’ve faced ourselves in our lives. I am not sure it helps us resolve our past because we don’t ultimately process our own trauma and we don’t come to a resolution for it. We recycle our anger or outrage but we never get to our sadness, loss nor to our own accountability to making our own lives better today.
I find this story quite logical. Much like Raniere kept many people from thinking straight by low caloric intake and sleep depravation, butt pellets and other hormone delivery methods can help.
You are projecting. There is no blame here. And there is no blame needed. This is an allopathic observation about a “natural” stage of hormonal change which affects women of BB’s age. Your reading comprehension is shadowed if you interpret this as “blame.” To me blame is a game of the weak. Responsibility turned upside down with its usefulness choked out of it. I’m a practical woman who will not be used as an excuse for anyone’s self-limitations.
Um, the author sounds like they’re applying the tenants of the cult they are against. Here is a woman who was in love with a man who wasted over a million dollars of her savings, who attacked her legally, and she is finally able to openly talk about it. Is it really so strange that she would still have feelings or opinions about that?
It’s been 10 years since Bouchey left Nx. That’s a long time and Bouchey appears to have made this into a career for herself,
Everyone deserves their day in court; everyone deserves there legal process and financial claims. Bouchey has put herself in the spotlight or on the soapbox as a professional victim of injustice. Ironically, she has defended much of the abuse that went on at Nx likely because she benefited from it as a financial advisor or socially via her status as Keith’s “girlfriend” and inner circle member.
If she were really sincere, she would talk about how Nx abused people, offering promises of freedom, success, and humanitarian ethics but secretly controlling, coercing and using them for their own benefit. Bouchey wants it both ways: she wants Camelot and refuses to admit Camelot never existed because it was corrupt.
Good point DA. Agree!
It would have been much more appropriate for BB to have spoken up a decade ago when she left NXIVM, she could have prevented a lot of suffering and crimes.
It can take half the number of years someone suffers abuse from a partner during the relationship, to recover after eg 20 years abused, 10 years to recover so the fact she still may be affected by it and may want to speak about it sounds fair enough to me and nothing to do with the menopause.
BB was with Raniere for about ten years and has been away from him for ten years. He even sued the f*ck out of her after she left in 2009. That should have accelerated the recovery.
Butt pellets – you cannot be serious!
Ehh? Butt pellets? Dear God, Bangkok has been usurped….
Thank you, niceguy. What I really wrote was “ass pellets” but nevertheless, the more current plant-based hormone replacement therapy is usually shot into the buttocks and is injected as a time-release pellet dosage lasting approximately six months, while peri-menopause or full menopause occurs. The results are excellent for restoring a sense of balance, stability, simple good health. If you care for women, you would want women to know about the advances in HRT, hormone replacement therapy. The old HRT pills (from impregnated mare’s urine) have been proven to be dangerous, carcinogenic.
Frequently women don’t recognize some very troublesome symptoms as being related to menopausal, hormonal changes. The actual hormonal process of menopause takes several years. Some quick examples of ongoing symptoms can include persistent insomnia, sweating, swift and apparently unwarranted mood changes, obsessive thinking, depression, the needless re-ignition of the startle reflex, forgetfulness. If you had the chance to relieve these symptoms, I’ll bet that you would. If any of this info assists BB, I am glad.
Thank you for the enlightening explanation of women’s health.
Is there a shred of scientific evidence that “plant based” substances can replace hormones?
What a load of rubbish!
Such nonsense is akin to the nonsense that Keith was selling.
Amanda
I purchased one of Gwyneth Paltrow’s jade eggs and removed negativity from fanny.
Science knows nothing. 😉
You can purchase your own egg from Gwyneth at goop.com.

Either a substance is progesterone or it is not. From webmd:
“Progestin” is a general term for a substance that causes some or all of the biologic effects of progesterone. The term “progestin” is sometimes used to refer to the progesterone made in the laboratory that is in oral contraceptives and hormone replacement therapy. However, all progesterone and progestin products are made in the laboratory. The term “natural progesterone” is really a misnomer. “Natural progesterones,” including the prescription products Crinone and Prometrium, are made from a chemical called diosgenin that is isolated from wild yam or soy. In the laboratory, this constituent is converted to pregnenolone and then to progesterone. The human body is not able to make progesterone from diosgenin, so eating wild yam or soy will not boost your progesterone levels.

The pellets are also implanted in the hip, perhaps even under the KAR cauterizing scars. Why make another scar? Plus, the nerves endings in this area may have been destroyed during the “branding” process, making anesthesia unnecessary. Even if it hurts a bit, it won’t be nearly as bad as the original cauterizing.
