Kristin Kreuk got out of NXIVM - Allison Mack did not. Allison faces years in prison.

Sultan of Six Defends Kristin Kreuk

Sultan of Six – who has to date posted more than 400 comments on Frank Report – many of them in defense of Kristin Kreuk – offers this new defense of her.

It is a rebuttal to an earlier post by No Sympathy for Vanguard.

Sultan’s method of rebuttal is to post a portion of No Sympathy for Vanguard’s post, then refute it.

No Sympathy for Vanguard’s post is in bold, followed by Sultan of Six’s rebuttal:

Kristen Kreuk

– Notice how she carefully stated that she was 23 when she joined but left 5 years ago. She knows people can google her age and see she was in for 7 years, but she knows the majority of the social media world wouldn’t check and it doesn’t sound as long when you word it that way.

How would she know such a thing about the “majority of the social media world”? What in her statement implies she was in it for a short time? She said she joined when she was 23 and left about five years ago. Simple math tells a person to subtract 5 years from her age at which she made her statement and then subtract that from 23 to get the approximate length of time she spent in NXIVM. That’s elementary school level math. She took her first intensive in June of 2006 and was officially out around the start of 2013 according to her statement supported by Sarah Edmondson. That’s about 6.5 years she was involved with it. There’s also nothing in such a statement that suggests the depth or frequency of her involvement. That would have to be ascertained from an actual schedule of NXIVM related events, e.g., coursework, intensives, weekend get-togethers, etc., that she participated in.

She goes on to deflect the accusations that were being made about her being in Raniere’s “inner circle” nor “recruited women as ‘sex slaves.’ She didn’t deny recruiting people into NXIVM, which is part of her job as a coach and has been seen through her videos and involvement in various programs aimed at recruiting.

That’s not “deflection”. That’s an outright denial.

Recruiting is part and parcel to all Multilevel Marketing (MLM) types businesses like NXIVM. That is the only way such businesses can turn a profit. Recruiting has nothing to do with being a coach. Being a coach has to do with the product or service they sell.

– She’s only denying to being part of Raniere’s harem or recruiting women directly into it. She claims that “During my time, I never experienced any illegal or nefarious activity.” Maybe she didn’t. But it doesn’t seem likely — since she was part of the Necker Island visit.

Non-sequitur. There has never been any substantiated evidence that the Necker Island visit resulted in anything illegal, nor that all of its participants knew of such activities even if they happened. The fact of the matter is, even John Tighe on his blog only stated that Kristin was going to help to “sell its [NXIVM’s] poison” in the Vancouver area, but never suggested or implied that she was doing or going to do anything illegal.

– Even if she wasn’t part of the inner circle, she still used her star power to recruit and coach people into the cult, and some of them might have ended up deeper into the cult or worse — they were turned into sex slaves.

Again, no evidence has been given as to the number of people she recruited, nor of anyone who may have been negatively impacted by such recruitment that can pass the slippery slope smell test as to her being the primary cause to such ramifications.

– She wraps it up with a message to those who were brave and exposed DOS… not EXP or NXIVM, she is singling DOS out as if that is the only thing that needed exposed. Sure, she says, she is “deeply disturbed and embarrassed to have been associated with NXIVM” and hopes for “justice for all those affected.”

What “other things” need to be exposed? Illegal activities? That would presuppose she has knowledge of them which she already denied. Just because you can’t believe that she doesn’t have such knowledge doesn’t mean she does. An argument from incredulity is logically fallacious, and simply being named in a lawsuit (which has been dismissed with prejudice) or that she participated in the Necker Island isn’t enough evidence to overcome that.

– Now if Kreuk wanted to clear her name,

This presupposes that she has to do something more to clear her name than she already did in her statement.

– and bring justice to those affected, she could have continued by saying she would be happy to speak to law enforcement connected to the case and co-operate in any way she can. Say she doesn’t have any info that helps the trial, she would have truly cleared her name.

Why would she go public and tell the whole world that she’s speaking to law enforcement even if she was? That’s just a silly supposition.

– She could use her star power to lead the charge against NXIVM, encouraging others to leave the cult or testify against Raniere & Co. Instead, after that one comment,

Why would she “lead the charge” against NXIVM or testify against Raniere & Company if she herself didn’t experience anything illegal or nefarious?

– she refuses to answer any questions about NXIVM.

There could be plenty of reasons for that, one of which is that she was done with it a long time ago and she rightfully doesn’t want her name to be associated with the group anymore because it’s now become poison to anything it effectively touches.

– The truth is Kreuk was very close to the inner circle, with Mack, Clyne, Edmondson and the Bronfmans.

She is celebrity no matter how small of one somebody might subjectively think she is. That automatically gave her VIP status to knowing the alleged “inner circle”, whatever that phrase encompasses. That doesn’t make her a part of it, nor does it make her partner to any crimes or nefarious activities they committed. She’s only responsible for her own actions.

– All of who were part of the ‘inner circle’ and all DOS sex slaves.

Yeah so? Not all who were DOS slaves were part of the inner circle. And Kristin denies being part of the inner circle and she was gone from NXIVM before the secret DOS even formed so she could never have been a part of it.

– Sure DOS came around later, but the harem has always been there.

There’s nothing illegal about adults having sex.

– Which brings me to the thing that interests me most. Why did Kreuk leave? After 7 years of intensives, recruiting, coaching, trips to Necker Island, etc… what brought her to decide to leave?

You’ll have to ask her. Maybe she got all that she wanted out of it and wanted to focus on her career which then got more time consuming. Judging from the chronology of her career, that is exactly what happened.

Marc Vicente, Sarah Edmondson – both NXIVM center leaders – both of whom quit NXIVM rather publicly. Mark Hildreth and Kristin Kreuk – both believed to be out of NXIVM.

– My bet is that not only is Kreuk trying to keep it from hurting her acting career,

The only people who can hurt her career are herself and decision makers in the industry she has to deal with that may think that her participation in NXIVM while she was in it at the time may negatively impact their public perception as a company or the bottom line of any project she takes part in. They currently don’t seem to have any doubts or problems about it.

– but maybe they have collateral on her and she’s not willing to risk it.

Collateral is a DOS term.

  • This story and the comments are a complete waste of time. The Feds have the information that will prove/disprove whether Kristin Crook behaved legally. For me, there’s enough smoke that there’s a good chance there’s fire. This isn’t a court of law, it’s the court of public opinion. Carry on, cowardly anonymous posters.

  • OMG! Who cares?! I didn’t know who Kristen Kreuk was before this, and I don’t care now. I don’t think her “celebrity status” would have any effect at all as far as crusading against them. I don’t blame her for being classy and discreet. Just leave her alone. I agree it sounds like she got out at the wrong time. End of story. Let the government officials decide who is accountable. I just skim the articles about her or don’t read them at all. This whole Kreuk thing is boring!

  • It doesn’t matter if KK ‘directly’ recruited only “x” number of people.

It doesn’t matter what color her Sash was.

    Here’s what matters:

**She’s a major TV star and she LENT HER NAME to NXIVM (to present a better public image to the company) —- in order to assist NXIVM in recruiting more unwitting idiots into the organization as a whole.

Whether she signed up people directly isn’t important. What’s important is that she allowed NXIVM to use her famous name to help them recruit more people (thru other recruiters) at various events. You can be sure that every recruiter at NXIVM was “name dropping” all of the famous actresses who were coaches. She was therefore helping NXIVM to recruit indirectly using her star power.

**She also used her own PRESENCE at various NXIVM events designed to recruit people, in an effort to help NXIVM higher ups recruit (and present a good image to the public).

She therefore ‘indirectly’ helped to recruit lots of people using her star power, by lending her name and face to NXIVM recruitment efforts —- regardless of whether or not she directly “signed” anybody up herself.

Sorry defenders, but KK did use her star power to help NXIVM present a better image to recruit more people in general. She also coached people. She’s not some “small fry”. Her sash color was not relevant. Sorry Sultan. 🙂

    • Frank wrote in an article women Kreuk recruited became branded sex slaves to Raniere. Also, her sash does matter. Yellow/2 stripes = lots of recruiting. There are four stripes per sash. Criminal lawsuit. The man who revealed she was on Necker Island said those there discussed $ laundering.

    • LOL. Now she’s now a “major” TV star when it matters to you. Otherwise, she’s a shitty D-list actress who does the “smell your fart” acting method or whatever. You can’t have it both ways.

Regardless, yawn. This notion has already been countered multiple times. NONE of what you allege bypasses the slippery slope smell test of causality that makes her even remotely responsible for any alleged illegal or nefarious activities that occurred by other individuals within the cult. She is only responsible for her intentions and her own actions within it. You want to blame Kristin for bringing people into NXIVM in order to make her responsible for THEIR actions within it, but you have to first show how this initial act of recruitment leads to a NECESSARY chain of events that causes them to engage in such activities. If A, then B, then C, to a more significant Z. Sorry, but within a time frame that is quite large, there are too many other causal factors including a person’s own personality and free will that decides whether they do such and such. You’re like the guy who blames the person who ordered Chinese food from his house for the death of the messenger who gets hit by a truck on his way to deliver it. He was the initial cause to put such events into motion, but he wasn’t remotely responsible for his death because there are too many other variables that intervened between point A and point Z.

Out of the all of the people you can count on one hand that she directly recruited, only one of them has been indicted for illegal activity: Allison Mack. Everyone else has not been and appear to be living a normal, guilt free life. That is a mere twenty percent. Even if we play Devil’s advocate for such a baseless generalization, and that percentage is used to extrapolate the “responsibility” of Kristin for anyone she “indirectly” recruited, that would fail to even pass the minimum percentage required for a drug trial to got to market, which only has to be predictably better than placebo.

    • Perhaps she “lent her name,” if so, to something she thought a worthy cause at the time. Or something she believed was more under her and her clique’s control.

Don’t forget the importance of the role of her romance with Hildreth — being shaped or shattered by their affiliations with NXIVM.

Doubt if Kristin or any of the Vancouver crowd had a clue what evil lurked at the core of NXIVM — across the continent on New Kerner Road in Clifton Park, New York.

Must say, Kristin Kreuk IS the most stunningly beautiful by far of any of these NXIVM leading ladies! With the exception, perhaps, of Catherine and India Oxenberg but they’re a different type.

      Great piece, Sultan!

      • What did Kristin Kreuk do when she found out she was named in Joe O’Hara’s criminal lawsuit? What did Kristin Kreuk do when she was named as a NXIVM member in the Times Union expose that exposed Raniere as a pedophile? What did Kreuk do when she found out that money laundering and tax evasion was part of the NXIVM operation? What did Kreuk do when she found out about all the many lawsuits used to ruin defectors? What did Kreuk do when she found the pictures of her online on Necker Island for a secret NXIVM meeting where those there were accused of planning money laundering operations? What did Kreuk do when she found out about Raniere having a harem fucking all these female students? Why did Kreuk not bring up NXIVM when promoting the College Project Survey, Juicy Peach and other NXIVM recruitment schemes? Why did Kreuk continue recruiting women when she knew Raniere fucked his students? Kreuk knew what she was a part of. How could the Vancouver people know nothing? The Vancouver branch founder Sarah Edmondson is talking to the Feds about criminal activity.

  • Every time Scott calls fellow posters a coward, he has to pay them $100.
And if he advertises his radio show, he has to drink their vomit.

    • One thing is for certain, Kristin Kreuk did not turn her back on NXIVM when “Vanguard” was exposed as a pedophile in 2012. She carried on coaching. She knows full well she was named in a criminal lawsuit too. She still did not leave. Yellow sash/two stripes and knew nothing? Balls to that.

  • Sultan has shown no evidence of innocence.

Whether she did anything nefarious has not been cleared up.

DOS was not the only nefarious thing going on at NXIVM.

It’s interesting that both the government and Frank Parlato maintain that NXIVM was organized as a ‘racket’ (a corrupt enterprise setup to break the law at every turn) —- yet a senior level coach who reportedly held intensives in her own home is claimed by Sultan to be ‘pure as the driven snow’.

    Guess what?

NXIVM was setup to conduct nefarious activities and little else, though that doesn’t necessarily mean all of them were illegal (there’s a difference between ‘nefarious’ and ‘illegal’). Just because KK wasn’t involved in DOS doesn’t mean she wasn’t involved in NXIVM’s other nefarious activities.

Coaching and Recruiting people into an MLM in order to drain their bank accounts and get them hooked on expensive NXIVM intensives is not a “nice” or “pure” activity. It’s nefarious, in my view. Especially with NXIVM’s reported teachings about tax evasion and their system of avoiding taxes. If KK even KNEW about these teachings (regardless of whether she taught them herself) then she’s not a nice person for recruiting people into that.

Are we to pretend that a senior recruiter/coach didn’t know of this philosophy of NXIVM?

Let’s not forget, this is the same coach who was photographed at Necker Island for that party of senior NXIVM personnel?

I seriously doubt that clueless NXIVM “small-fries” (who were ignorant of NXIVM’s core teachings) were flown out to that private island party, LOL.

If she was involved in nefarious activities that weren’t illegal, that doesn’t mean we should let her off the hook. It means she should have to answer to the court of public opinion and her acting career should be penalized appropriately according to her level of involvement.

As for guilty until proven innocent, that’s not what I’m saying here.

    But further investigation is warranted.

If Nancy Salzman and Karen U have flipped and TELL EVERYTHING they know, then perhaps we’ll learn more about KK’s involvement in NXIVM.

I just hope Sultan doesn’t have a heart attack once Nancy flips and tells everything she knows.

Wouldn’t it be funny if Nancy even disclosed the existence of a recruiting party held 10 years ago in Connecticut with a few politicians present? LOL.

No, I’m not saying I believe Ben’s story.

In fact, it’s clear that Ben made stuff up “whole cloth” to make himself sound more exciting — since some details contradict what we know.

However, just like other lying attention seekers (such as Heidi Hutchinson) —- these people often greatly exaggerate stuff to get attention for themselves, but their stories often contain at least a fraction of truth.

In Heidi’s case, she actually knew Keith in the early days (that’s the truthful part of her story) —- but she likes to add on extra bullshit to get attention for herself, such as the bogus fact of her and her sister filling in Keith’s IQ test for him and scoring 200+ on the IQ scale. LOL.

Most liars (such as Heidi Hutchinson and Ben) don’t just make everything up, they usually embellish and greatly exaggerate things BUT there’s often a small nugget of truth to it.

I believe that a party happened most likely, but I also believe Ben greatly exaggerated who was there to make himself sound more exciting. Maybe he saw one or two of those people there and then added in a cast of other characters to get himself some attention.

Let’s see if Nancy tells us everything as part of her plea deal.

    • – Sultan has shown no evidence of innocence.

You people really need to learn how rational argumentation works. First of all, it is not my burden to show her innocence. It is for the person who is making a claim of her guilt to substantiate it. That is why due process requires the government to prove their case against defendants, and not vice versa. The burden of proof is on the claimant.

Second of all, you can’t prove innocence because you can’t logically prove the absence of evidence of guilt (or the absence of anything for that matter).

      – Whether she did anything nefarious has not been cleared up.

Whether she did anything nefarious hasn’t been established.

      – DOS was not the only nefarious thing going on at NXIVM.

This doesn’t imply that anything else “nefarious” that may have been going on she was aware or involved with either.

      – It’s interesting that both the government and Frank Parlato maintain that NXIVM was organized as a ‘racket’ (a corrupt enterprise setup to break the law at every turn)

More than five years after Mr. Parlato was fired and only subsequently after he was indicted with what he claims are false charges by a lying Clare Bronfman.

      – yet a senior level coach

This is a false representation of her status. She was the lowest level coach possible.

      – who reportedly held intensives in her own home

To my knowledge, intensives were never held at a person’s home.

      – is claimed by Sultan to be ‘pure as the driven snow’.

Strawman. I never made any such claim.

      – NXIVM was setup to conduct nefarious activities and little else,

That’s one hell of a claim that you haven’t substantiated. NXIVM is a corporate entity with a tax ID that was operating for almost two decades. Regardless of what you think of the viability of the product/service that it sold, NXIVM sold it to thousands of people, many of whom took some amount of courses and moved on without getting more deeply involved in the company. If it was setup to conduct nefarious activities, then such a setup was well hidden, and only someone who was privy to such operations could confidently assert that it was “setup to conduct nefarious activities and little else”. But then he would be self-incriminating himself.

      – though that doesn’t necessarily mean all of them were illegal (there’s a difference between ‘nefarious’ and ‘illegal’). Just because KK wasn’t involved in DOS doesn’t mean she wasn’t involved in NXIVM’s other nefarious activities.

False dilemma. It doesn’t mean she was either.

      – Coaching and Recruiting people into an MLM in order to drain their bank accounts and get them hooked on expensive NXIVM intensives is not a “nice” or “pure” activity. It’s nefarious, in my view.

This is a loaded description. It implies that you know that it was her intent to willfully and maliciously recruit people in order to “drain their bank accounts and get them hooked on NXIVM intensives”, something that you haven’t remotely established, and I personally find ludicrous. Kristin’s intent could have simply been to help others. According to her statement, she believed they helped her overcome her shyness, and being a naturally empathetic person, she could have also felt they might be beneficial to others in helping them overcome issues that might be holding them back. Also, being part of a company whose business model was dependent upon recruitment, she likely felt it as an obligation to do so since the company provided a service that she felt helped her.

      – Especially with NXIVM’s reported teachings about tax evasion and their system of avoiding taxes. If KK even KNEW about these teachings (regardless of whether she taught them herself) then she’s not a nice person for recruiting people into that.

I have the NXIVM manual that John Tighe posted on his blog still on my machine at home, and I haven’t seen any reference to this alleged teaching of tax evasion within it.

My religion finds income tax wrong because it is exorbitant which makes it unjust – much of it is used to cover interest payments that the government pays to a hidden financial oligarchy to enrich their pockets and not where it is needed the most. That doesn’t mean I don’t pay taxes because it also finds that bringing a negative situation upon yourself as even worse, e.g., if you refuse to pay taxes you can be fined and thrown into jail. So you either pay them, help change the law while doing the former, or you give up your citizenship and migrate out of the country so you don’t have to pay them.

      – Are we to pretend that a senior recruiter/coach didn’t know of this philosophy of NXIVM?

She was neither a “senior” recruiter nor coach.

      – Let’s not forget, this is the same coach who was photographed at Necker Island for that party of senior NXIVM personnel?

Any implication from this was already been countered in the response posted as the article above.

      – I seriously doubt that clueless NXIVM “small-fries” (who were ignorant of NXIVM’s core teachings) were flown out to that private island party, LOL.

I’ve already said Kristin was a celebrity member – likely their most famous one – so that immediately granted her VIP status. Celebrities are given preferential treatment by all companies that use them to benefit their image. Case in point: Jessica Alba whose mere name has enabled her to cash in at “The Honest Company”. That doesn’t entail that Kristin was part of the inner circle or knew of or participated in any illegal or nefarious activities.

      – If she was involved in nefarious activities that weren’t illegal, that doesn’t mean we should let her off the hook. It means she should have to answer to the court of public opinion and her acting career should be penalized appropriately according to her level of involvement.

If “ifs” and “buts” were candy and nuts, we’d all have a merry Christmas.

  • In the future, I’ll read the news article as well as the advertisement but definitely not these ludicrous comments.

Some of ya’ll need help beyond what was the scope of the self improvement course which was NEXIVM.

    • TB you are correct that the full scope of this story won’t come out until trial. And the world will be stunned. What we know now us bad, imagine what the feds are seeing. The truth will be much darker

  • I can’t even read it. I am so tired of reading the absolutely desperate posts of SultanOfSixHundredPostsADay. He is an annoying superfan who wrecks the comments section. He argues with anyone who dares says anything questioning Kreuk, including those who have been involved with NXIVM, even Joe O’Hara! Kristin Kreuk is to SOS what Raniere is to NXIVM devotees.

  • For those of us who have been around here a while, we are used to shadowstate and sultan of six. Much like we are getting used to scrolling past the various names that Scott Johnson uses.

Shadowstate didn’t really attack other posters, and sultan of six only attacks when people comment about KK, so both of them are far more tolerable.

    • Thank you.

I really don’t attack other posters who merely express their opinions to the topic on hand unless they first attack me personally.
And I am the target of verbal abuse almost as much as anyone else.
I really try to spare my venom for NXIVM and the NXIVM elite who have caused this mess and harmed so many people,
      physically, mentally and financially.
NXIVM is a poisonous ideology that actually brings out the worst instincts in people.
It will be a blessing when NXIVM is destroyed and the main perpetrators are brought to justice.

    • Actually they both are intolerable bores. But at least Shadowperv and Balless Johnson post in red so it is easy to bypass them. Sultan stalker needs to get a red heading so I don’t mistakenly read the first sentence of his dribble.

  • A defense made up of 90% speculation
And a lot of here say. I’m not buying it.
She used her celebrity to recruit, so
She owes it to those recruited to send out a clear GET AWAY.
She knows a lot more than this author is
Saying. A BIG COVER UP FAIRY TALE.

    • Or maybe she fears her revelations would turn the situation into a witch hunt !
It’s time to prove that WE know about real compassion. Or we aren’t better that those bastards.

She was a part of it, she was a hardcore supporter but now she might be recovering from her “honeymoon”. She’s waking up every morning in a world where the organization she was supporting is actually a destructive cult with a lot of gruesome secrets. She gave herself to a monster made out of a pile of monsters… How could she feel ?

It’s not because she’s so proud of her implication in NXIVM that she doesn’t talk about it ! It’s maybe because it’s too ashaming and to hard for her to talk about it !

Don’t wait that she commits a suicide attempt to show a little compassion for her ! She has been part of the machine and she might feel ashamed and remorseful over her own regrets for herself…

So don’t believe that she’s just hiding and in wait that the storm ends… It’s just that she has to swallow a lot before she can talk about it.

I’ve done some comments about her. Some nice, some vile, some mixed…

But now my intuition tells me that the one they have the human ability to leave her alone must do it.

      • She is silent because she wants to be in the public eye and knows her NXIVM background will not be good PR for her. That was her choise. If people are calling her out, that is her fault. You don’t get named in a criminal lawsuit by accident. You don’t stay with a pedophile when you have been named in the same expose that revealed the monster you are devoted to is a pedophile. If Kreuk does not want people talking about her, she has to be honest. Even then, her continued silence has just made things worse for her.

        • Look at your comment : They are just solid clues and she’s already the witch to burn !
You might have good reasons to be angry agains her, but, look, isn’t what she’s living a sufficient “punishment” ?
She was one of the faces of NXIVM, and now the true nature of this criminal organization has unveiled, how can it be for her ?
She always had worked out a clean image of her and now she’s a part of a criminal organization and was used to target young girls !
How can she feel about it ?
Is she really the heartless bitch that just cares about her career ?

Well, this we will never know. If you want to know the truth, you must prepare yourself for it. Because it might be worse than all that you could assume and you can take.
Maybe it will be a real punch I the stomach. So prepare yourselves because it could be even worse than the worse that you can spit here in.
That might be why she can’t talk about it.

          • “but, look, isn’t what she’s living a sufficient “punishment” ?”

Receiving large amounts of Canadian tax dollars that other people worked for to virtue signal in a tax payer funded television show where she portrays herself as the savior of teen girls while refusing to even address NXIVM/Raniere? Filming it during the initial height of the media exposure while pretending nothing was happening, instead playing make-belief savior of teen girls on a television show? Attaching herself to someone else’s documentary about Phoolan Devi with a “girl power” theme, telling people to hand over their money for production, while ignoring the NXIVM story? Nope. She wants to be in the public eye. It’s her own fault. All NXIVM people should be exposed. If you are going to feel sorry for someone, feel sorry for an actual victim.

      • You say she is too ashamed to talk about it while someone else may say she is withholding evidence. She needs to do the right thing and tell it straight. Have a great 13th birthday and don’t play with sharp objects.

  • Someone should defend Kristin Kreuk. She seeme nnocent of anything other than believing a Vanguard. She thought what she was doing was right. She thought recruiting girls and students was good. She thought NXIVM was good. Obviously. She became a coach. It took bravery for her to even call DOS women victims.

  • You know what, folks, I don’t make it up : I was so proud to uncover SOS as SultanOfSix !..
But since a while I feel plain stupid that I’ve done it…
I really feel bad because since then, some kind of shitstorm began : A post about Kreuk -> A SoS comment -> A lot of flaming and overreacting comments…
This is the same old thing and it’s not fun anymore.

  • Kristin Kreuk’s main concern is trying to prevent the NXIVM fallout from damaging
    or destroying her career.
The rest of NXIVM is worried about avoiding indictment or conviction for their NXIVM activities.
There are lots of people involved with NXIVM who would trade places with Kristin Kreuk in a heartbeat.

If Raniere and Mack had been able to control their inner demons and avoid creating a sex slave cult with torture and the like, NXIVM would still exist as a self-help scam instead serving as an example of American madness.
