Sara Bronfman’s Lover, Lama Tenzin, suspended by Dalai Lama over corruption claims

Sara Bronfman and Lama Tenzin show how close they were at one time [ca 2009] …. Many inside NXIVM were aware that the heiress and the monk were lovers.

Readers of Frank Report might recall that Sara Bronfman introduced the ‘Venerable’ Lama Tenzin Dhonden, the self described ‘Personal Emissary for Peace for the Dalai Lama’, to Keith Raniere around 2008.

The three worked together to bring the Dalai Lama to Albany in 2009 and reportedly Sara Bronfman and the Lama Tenzin, a monk, became lovers for a time.

According to the Guardian,  on October 5, 2017, The Venerable Lama Tenzin, 53, was suspended as Secretary and Trustee of the Dalai Lama Trust.  The suspension pends an investigation into allegations that Lama Tenzin extorted payments from A Washington State businessman in 2008.

Daniel Kranzler claims he was forced to pay Lama Tenzin as much as $250,000, some of it in cash, to prevent the Lama Tenzin from working to cancel the Dalai Lama’s appearance at the Seeds of Compassion event in San Diego.

Lama Tenzin denies the allegations. He maintains he received $50,000 in legitimate salary, plus expenses for his work.  He retained Patterson Belknap, a New York City law firm, to defend against possible civil or criminal charges.

Attorneys for the firm said the event “occurred nearly a decade ago,” the accusations are “largely inaccurate and otherwise relate to conduct that is not unlawful, unethical, or even inappropriate” and were “designed to falsely and unfairly tarnish” Lama Tenzin’s reputation.

The case does raise two questions:

– Why did Kranzler wait nine years to come forward to claim he was extorted into making payments to Lama Tenzin?

– Why did the Dalai Lama suspend Lama Tenzin if the charges against him are so weak?

A Buddhist monk makes two vows: the renunciation of money and sex.  While Lama Tenzin may or may not be guilty of the charges in Washington State, the record is pretty clear that he broke his vow of celibacy with Sara Bronfman.

  • Why the fuck hasn’t the Dalai Lama denounced Raniere and ESP since the story? He spoke at the ESP event because of $$$ from the Bronfman morons. Now that this story is one of the biggest stories out there, having him call out Raniere for the sociopath that he is goes a long, long way. Also wtf is happening with Nancy Salzman? Why isn’t she getting crucified more? She is equally as culpable in a lot of this even if she didn’t know about DOS. I feel like she isn’t getting enough Frank Report love. Previous comments said she turned state. Is that true? Time to find out where Nancy is and what she’s up to.

  • A question for those who were insiders then and/or know what insiders thought then…was the Dalai Lama visit (including the early bad press) ultimately viewed by ESPians as a verification of KR’s ethical teachings, or a repudiation of them?
In a sense, did ESPians toast KR with kool-aide or spit in his face?

    • Yes, we thought it was a good thing. Dalai lama likes us. Hooray for us. Soon the world will know how great our Vanguard is.

    • Of course they thought it was a good thing for them.

Too bad they paid him money, i.e., gave his organization a large donation, to bring or bribe him, depending upon your perspective. However, one must give the Dalai Lama credit for using the platform to speak and stick to his principles (at least superficially) and to give advice about being transparent and accepting any responsibility for wrong actions, which of course, NXIVM et al, has shown they paid no attention to.

According to Rick Ross, the Dalai Lama has also accepted $1.2 million in money from the cult leader Aum Shinrikyo who was found responsible for the Japanese subway terrorist attack

It seems like NXIVM just stole a play out of Aum’s playbook who stole it from others who’ve done the same thing.

      • Hello, there is nothing called paid here people give donations now and then but nobody knows from where the donations come from it’s just a good will act when u say paid it means to give salary or or give money for something u bought or used the services of a particular person or the use of a material thing , these donations goes to poor people and the struggling schools of the refugees don’t say paid to Dalai Lama that’s wrong he doesn’t have money on him have a problem with the acussed then let that person clarify don’t go on making stories based on ur brains assumptions that’s wrong , people are so funny they act like as if they have seen all these happen right in front of their on eyes

      • I do not believe your story. “According to Rick Ross, the Dalai Lama has also accepted $1.2 million in money from the cult leader Aum Shinrikyo who was found responsible for the Japanese subway terrorist attack”. That’s false.
