Generous Contribution: Oxenberg Donates $50K to Trump’s Fund for Shooting Victims
In related news, Oxenberg contributed $50,000 to former President Donald Trump’s GoFundMe campaign to benefit the victims of the Butler, Pennsylvania, rally shooting.
“My heart breaks for the families of the victims and for the tragic loss of life. May God bless them and hold them close as they grieve,” Oxenberg wrote alongside her donation.
The GoFundMe, started by Trump’s national finance director and senior advisor, Meredith O’Rourke, has raised $6.5 million.
Beneficiaries of the GoFundMe include
- The family of Corey Comperatore, the 50-year-old former Buffalo Township, Pennsylvania, fire chief who died shielding his wife and daughter from bullets.
- David Dutch, 57, and James Copenhaver, 74. Both are in “serious but stable condition,” the Wall Street Journal reported.
Oxenberg’s Captive Details Her Fight Against Cult Leader Raniere
In ‘Captive,’ – the book Trump recently praised – Oxenberg tells the story of how her 27-year-old daughter, India, was consumed by NXIVM and its secret sorority DOS, where “slaves” were branded with NXIVM leader Keith Raniere’s initials.
In her book, Oxenberg details how Frank Report publisher Frank Parlato created the catalyst for NXIVM’s collapse and her visit to Parlato to work with him to rescue her daughter.
In June 2017, Parlato broke the news of the branding and blackmailing of women in the Frank Report. Oxenberg was his initial source for the story.
Following Parlato’s reporting on NXIVM, the New York Times wrote, “In early June [2017], Mr. Parlato published the first in a torrent of salacious posts under the headline, ‘Branded Slaves and Master Raniere.’
The Times story sparked interest from the US Attorney for the Eastern District of NY. The FBI opened an investigation that led to the arrests of Raniere, Allison Mack, Clare Bronfman, Kathy Russell, and Nancy and Lauren Salzman.
On December 7, 2018, the US Attorney for the EDNY turned over to the Raniere defense team a memorandum “written by blogger Frank Parlato and actress Catherine Oxenberg,” titled “Criminal Activity involving KR (Keith Raniere) 11-12.” Oxenberg gave this memorandum to authorities in November 2017.
In the book’s acknowledgments, Oxenberg wrote: “And a very special thanks to Frank Parlato: because of your tireless efforts, hundreds defected and escaped the horrors of branding and slavery.”
In 2020, Oxernberg and her daughter India, who left NXIVM and avoided indictment, appeared in the STARZ miniseries Seduced, which details the mother and daughter’s story in NXIVM.
Last year, Oxenberg, 63, married her Malibu neighbor, businessman Ellis Jones, who began her relationship with him after he offered her shelter during the 2018 California wildfires.
Jones is the Chairman of Wasserstein & Co., a private equity firm specializing in middle-market leveraged buyouts with a $2 billion fund.

Oxenberg, an actress known for playing Amanda Carrington in the 1980s soap opera Dynasty, is a Trump supporter and libertarian.
She recently condemned US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle on X for the agency’s multiple failures at a Trump rally, which allowed 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks to perch on a sloped roof about 500 feet from the former president as he spoke from the stage. A bullet hit Trump’s ear, missing his head by a quirk of fortune that saw Trump turn his head at the precise second the bullet whizzed by.
“Kimberly Cheatle is quintessential incompetence,” Oxenberg said, “if she had any dignity she would resign. Shame on her.”
Cheatle resigned yesterday after a three-hour congressional hearing, where she was unable to answer lawmakers’ questions about the failure of the agency to prevent an assassination attempt on former President Trump, leaving one dead and two seriously injured.

Although I am not the primary addressee of your inquiry, I would nevertheless like to answer it. The term ‘expert’ is often used without a clear definition of what constitutes an expert. For example, anyone can call themselves an expert if they think they are. Keith Raniere can also be described as an expert, although he was able to draw on numerous references from his many followers. The presence of people who recommend another person as an expert makes it easier to convince others that they also have the relevant expert knowledge. Follow the example of Keith or others. I agree, but we still could have the final updates about those that we don’t know about yet to finally close the story much like the do in the end of movies that were based on real life, before the credits roll.
