I was in prison for a very long time. Toward the end of my stay I met Jerry Sandusky. Eventually we became friends. I was first struck with surprise at how different his personality was from what I expected, given the crimes he is alleged to have committed.

I had met a lot of sex offenders over the years, including many pedophiles. They exhibit a lot of similar traits–not necessarily all bad, but just similar. Jerry was completely NOT that guy. Given his personality, he would have never fit into that group of offenders. That may not seem significant, but people are much more predictable when they live in a close-knit community–such as prison presents.

Watching people interact and socialize, in prison, you can almost guess the nature of the crimes that brought them there. If the media had not informed us first, I don’t think anybody, given his personality, would have guessed that Jerry was tried and convicted of these crimes.

Later on I read the book “The Most Hated Man In America.” It was a very informative book. What I most concurred with in the book–and still concur with–is the way the author presented and described Jerry’s personality. (By then I had gotten to know Jerry pretty well.) After reading that book, I found myself saying, “Wow! That author perfectly described Jerry’s personality!” FAR from being sneaky, underhanded and cynical, Jerry is very open, outgoing, friendly, gregarious, and loving.

Not long after meeting Jerry, you get this sense that he just really loves people. It bursts out of him. This really surprised me. After all he has been through, I would have expected him to be very shut down–especially if he was ACTUALLY guilty of these sorts of crimes. But he was the opposite! Surrounded by people who hated him, he was just as friendly and loving as ever.

I am not the least bit ashamed to say that meeting Jerry is a bright spot in my life. I pray that TRUE justice will prevail, and I can one day take him and his wife out for a steak dinner.

Only one of his six children said he abused him and that person has proven to be lying.

Well, I assume you’re a grown man. Jerry likes children.

Pedophiles are extremely good at wearing a mask of normalcy. Jerry is a master at it.

How was he in the shower, that’s what we want to know!

Shower bit all but vanished. The original claim that started this fire proved to be a falsehood. A fictional narrative is the basis for the Sandusky scandal.

Joe Paterno, and penn state president Graham Spanier lost their careers on what the courts intimately determined was an event that never occurred. Graham Spanier and others from penn state did jail time for no reason at all. The claim that put them there was proven to be false.

The public hate for Sandusky is based solely on the hyped up media coverage.

It would be interesting to take a poll as ask those against Sandusky what evidence allowed them to draw their conclusion.

Vague responses will come at best. FR has shown many of us that Sandusky’s conviction and the penn state scandal that destroyed the reputation of many fine men, needs to be revisited.

He’s able to endure because he knows the truth. He has family and friends and strangers who have dedicated countless hours studying this travesty and Jerry has God and truth within him.
He will be free.

The media did such a smear campaign on Sandusky. It was presented as a “slam dunk” case where the evidence was insurmountable. At the time many were focused on their fallen hero, Joe Paterno. It felt like a grieving process for so many of us who were raised with Joe Paterno – Sandusky was an after thought. Collateral damage.

Based on the info FR has “unearthed” (not recovered memories but evidence) it seems Paterno was wrongly accused and shamed without cause.

His statue should be returned and his reputation should be restored.

Sandusky deserves a new trial. Hope it happens.

Justice will prevail. The lies and deceit in Sandusky’s case are blatant. It’s an embarrassment to the judicial system that such egregious failures were condoned.

The Sandusky case is indicative of what’s happening throughout out legal system. If it can happen to Jerry, it can happen to any of us.

No good deed goes unpunished. Good people like to help those less fortunate, but sadly you cannot without taking on immense risk thanks to ambulence chaser attorneys and their fake accusation cottage industry; dirty prosecuters, such as the sick degenerate frauds in the PA OAG office who got their kicks out of making up fake child sex abuse stories sending an innocent man to prison for life; and, the evil and/or incompetent PA judges who helped them get away with it all.

The media was spoon fed lies, “leaked” fraudulent testimony and within 10 months an innocent man was indicted and convicted.

How can any case of such magnitude make it through the court process in 10 months? This was a race to guilt to cover up the wrong doing of so many.

If the prosecutors were sanctioned in this case for wrongdoing, how can the verdict be upheld? How is that due process?

Sandusky is innocent.
Sandusky is innocent.

If Sandusky is a serial pedo as claimed, there would be many many more “victims” coming out against him. He has access to young boys for decades yet only a handful came forward after first denying Sandusky had done anything to harm them. Only after the enticement of financial reward were memories replaced.

There is not one piece of concrete evidence presented in this case. And the prosecutors stole an innocent man’s life.

There’s no evidence or corroborating witnesses in the case against Sandusky. Recovered memories prompted by therapists alone should not be able to convict anyone of a crime.

Media and prosecutors paint the same picture of everyone they target- sneaky, underhanded, deceptive. Even with history of these qualities.

In reality they’re the qualities if the prosecutors who target the innocent for personal profit.

In Sandusky’s case the prosectors were going to be sneaky, underhanded and deceptive yet the government insists the verdict stands.

Interesting letter but I wish the author who said, “I’m not the least bit ashamed……..” would have given his name. The knuckleheads who think the court system got it right but hide behind “anonymous” when posting, don’t know the man. This letter is probably true because he describes Jerry perfectly as someone who knows him. I’m glad Frank published the letter unedited so you can decide if it’s real. I’m saying I believe it most certainly is.

Thank you for printing this, Frank. I have seen first hand how Jerry relates to others in prison, and it is very evident he is well liked. His treatment from other inmates is not anything like one would expect a ‘real’ pedophile would be treated. Jerry is a friendly, sincere and humble man.

Well, it seems consistent with what others have said. It matches what you, Frank, described in interviews you have done, what Keenan Trotter described when he was fact checking Most Hated Man in America for two years and other prisoners have said.

Don't Miss
