Sneak Preview of ‘The Lost Women of NXIVM’ released by Discovery ID

Investigation Discovery has released a sneak preview of The Lost Women of Nxivm, which will air on Sunday Dec. 8 at 9 PM ET/8 CT.

You may see it below.

In a press release, Discovery ID wrote, “Former NXIVM publicist turned investigative journalist Frank Parlato, who first revealed that NXIVM was branding women, takes a deep dive to answer the questions surrounding the tragic deaths and mysterious disappearances of four women who all had connections to NXIVM and Raniere himself. With exclusive access to members of Raniere’s former inner circle, some speaking for the first time and others who remain anonymous for their safety, Parlato leads viewers through a two-hour investigation that questions if there is more to this sadistic story.”

The special, THE LOST WOMEN OF NXIVM, premieres Sunday, December 8 at 9/8c, only on Investigation Discovery (ID).

The President of Investigation Discovery [as well as Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America], Henry Schleiff said, “Understanding the depths of depravity of the NXIVM cult goes far beyond what we have seen in the headlines. This explosive ID special takes a never before look at the stories of four women who were unfortunately caught in Raniere’s twisted web and explores how their association with him may have led to their tragic fates, providing hope that authorities might reopen these cases to bring closure to the victims’ loved ones.”

Note it well – a man of Henry Schleiff’s authority, prestige and position in the world has suggested that this film may bring hope that authorities may reopen the cases.

That’s good news for the families of the lost women.

The ID press release continues, “THE LOST WOMEN OF NXIVM begins with Parlato’s investigation into the missing persons case of Kristin Snyder, who disappeared on February 6, 2003 after being forcibly removed from one of NXIVM’s Executive Success Programs (ESP) due to erratic behavior. Her abandoned vehicle was found the next day with an apparent suicide note inside, but her body has never been recovered. In an exclusive interview, Parlato speaks with Snyder’s wife of two years, Heidi Clifford, who claims that Snyder was pregnant with Raniere’s child at the time of her disappearance.

“Parlato quickly discovers that just months before Snyder vanished, 33-year-old Gina Hutchinson was found dead also due to an apparent suicide. Heidi Hutchinson speaks with Parlato about her sister’s association with Raniere from a young age.

“With the help of an anonymous source, Parlato also explores the deaths of two additional LOST WOMEN OF NXIVM, 63-year-old Barbara Jeske and 57-year-old Pamela Cafritz. Both women lived with Keith Raniere and were part of his trusted inner circle, many of whom mysteriously developed terminal cancer. After collecting potential hair evidence from the source, Parlato sets out to explore if it is possible that the women, experiencing a cluster of cancers, were poisoned over a period of years.

“Additional revelations in THE LOST WOMEN OF NXIVM include the very first on-record interview with Kristin Keeffe, who divulges what she knows from her 24-year relationship with Keith Raniere. She is one of the many women Raniere impregnated, but unlike allegedly dozens of others, she was not forced to have an abortion. When her son was 7-years-old, Keeffe escaped and went into hiding to protect herself and her son.

Among those who appear in the production are:

  1. Rick Ross
  2. Neil Glazer
  3. Dr. Jana Lalich
  4. Joseph O’Hara
  5. Omar Rosales
  6. Susan Dones

  • Looking at the recent photos of Nancy and Lauren Salzman in Starbucks was astonishing. They both look as if they don’t have a care in the world. I guess the cash is well hidden and all they need to do is insulate themselves from the poisonings and suicide/murders.
Life will be pleasant in some faraway land.

I have thought it strange that mother and daughters would shun Dr.Michael Salzman for refusing to fire Nina Cowell. After reading the details of Nina’s involvement with the Kim Snyder disappearance, I realize that Keith’s collateral was murder. The Salzmans had no choice other than to shun their loving father!

Everyone involved in the deaths of these four women needs to be incarcerated for a very very long time.

Keep them where we can find them while we solve these murders.
Someone will talk to save their hide

Frank, keep digging for the truth!

  • If Toni Natalie is not mentioned or depicted in the film, it is a bogus film. Just Frank Perlato trying to steal her accomplishments.

    • “If Toni Natalie is not mentioned or depicted in the film, it is a bogus film. Just Frank Perlato trying to steal her accomplishments.” Dr. Gastone H. Porter

So Toni Natalie was the first to publish a story about the branding and blackmailing of slaves?
When and where was that story published?

  • Attention Skeptics!

People, who doubt the validity of further investigation into the suicides, cancers, and mass poisoning of Nxivm members need to open their eyes.

“There have been far to many tragic coincidences in Keith Raniere’s orbit that directly benefit Keith.” What are the odds?

I am stoked to watch the DiscoveryID Nxivm episode! Frank’s episode will put pressure on law enforcement to futher investigate the various deaths!

  • I don’t see Kim and Jonnnie Snyder on the list, either, but I assume they are included in the “and others” category.
I’m surprised to see that Roger Stone is included though.

    • Kim and her mother Jonnie are not included in the film – thanks largely to the efforts of Toni Natalie to keep us apart. When we finally got together, it was past the deadline for new scenes to be included in the film. However, there is such strong interest in a second film that the producers funded a shoot with Kim, Jonnie, Susan Dones, Heidi Hutchinson and myself at the Snyder family farm after the filming for the first film was completed. That footage is to be part of a second film I expect to be co-producing.

  • It looks like it will be a Great Program! The chance to see Frank work behind the scenes, link up with Alaska Police, ex-Nexians, and search for Kristin Snyder.

Will there be enough information to re-open the case? Will Alaska Prosecutors finally charge Keith Raniere with Murder? Is there enough circumstantial evidence to convict?

If Keith directed the murder from Albany or paid someone $50,000 to kill Kristin – that’s murder for hire. So, will Keith be subject to new Federal charges?

Does anyone out there have more information? And why do nearly all of the women in Keith’s inner circle wind up with cancer?

    Stay Tuned!

        • The only role Toni Natalie had in the Discovery film was her hard work trying to block my access to Kim Snyder, Jonnie Snyder and Heidi Clifford. Mentioning her in the film – which had a lot of ground to cover in a mere two hours would have only muddled the story. Toni is really irrelevant to what happened to the Lost Women of Nxivm.

          • Scott,

Frank’s show has to be well focused and provide an easily understandable narrative for the general public with a takeaway/conclusion at the end. It’s not a 10 part documentary series like HBO’s “The Jinx”.

If some outside television producers like Frank’s episode he could get green-lighted for a 5 to 10 episode season.

Originally, I thought Parlato could produce a tv show examining and investigating cults in the United States and around the world; In the same guise as the History Channels award winning Gangland series.

        • Scott,

Why would Frank want to give Toni Natlie free publicity?

“There is no such thing as bad publicity.”
          -P.T. Barnum

          • I can see that side of the argument and already commented on that. Most people have never heard of Frank Report and didn’t buy the book, so Natlie [sic] failed all on her own.

  • I find this whole case facinating. Master slave, slave master, NLP and how these things were used to destroy others. And to watch the fall of Nxivm through reading and the art work capturing the moments feel like a roller coaster ride of emotions.
The preview is great congratulations Mr.Parlato.

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” In addition, he was credited in the Starz docuseries 'Seduced' for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premieres on May 22, 2022.
