Joe O’Hara: Ex-NXians — Admit, Apologize & Act!

By Joe O’Hara

I have read with great interest all the comments about what should be expected of those who were involved with NXIVM after they decide to leave. As the first person who quit providing services to the cult after finding out some of what was going on behind the scenes, I’ve had a lot of time to think about this matter. Here are my thoughts on the issue:

– First and foremost, everyone who quits the cult – or who stops providing services to it and its members – should be applauded. Even if they do none of the other things that I happen to think they should do, I never want to do anything –  or say anything – to make them have second thoughts about leaving.

– In an ideal world, it would be nice if those who leave would simply admit what their involvement was with the cult. Did you recruit others? Did you make money? Did you help the cult do illegal things (I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU CONSULT WITH AN ATTORNEY BEFORE YOU ANSWER THAT LAST QUESTION)? What exactly was your role in the cult?

– I also think it would be nice if people apologized for any harm they may have caused to others while they were involved with the cult – and, to the extent they can do so, that they try to mitigate that harm. These apologies need not be public unless they choose to publicly speak out about their decision to leave. And these people need not reimburse those they recruited for the fees spent on NXIVM’s courses – or make any other financial contributions to them – unless, of course, they have the wherewithal to do so.

– Do something to help ensure that NXIVM is totally and forever destroyed. If you have information about any of the cult’s illegal activities, share it with the law enforcement officials who are investigating – and prosecuting – NXIVM-related people (If you want to remain anonymous, contact Frank to get the name of an attorney who can ensure your anonymity). If all you have are suspicions, share those too – but be sure to identify them as such.

These are simply my opinions – and I don’t mean to impose them on anyone else. But they’re the opinions that guide how I react to those who have left – which is why I refuse to have any contact with some of them (They know who they are).

In my case, I served as a consultant to NXIVM for approximately 15 months. Mostly what I did is identify people and companies that NXIVM could hire to address the various problems it was facing: e.g., accountants, attorneys, lobbyists, private investigators, public relations firms, etc.

I received a monthly fee for the first six months I worked for the cult. After that, Keith Raniere and Nancy Salzman arranged for me to receive a loan from Clare Bronfman and Sara Bronfman-Igtet that I used (a) to purchase a piece of land in Greene County that I wanted to develop; and (b) to expand what was my business at the time.

When I informed Raniere and Salzman that I was quitting, they first tried to entice me to stay on by making me several lucrative offers. When that didn’t work, they had Richard Mays, one of their legal hired guns and a guy who really deserves to be investigated by the Feds, threaten me (Mays told me in detail what NXIVM would do to destroy me personally and professionally – and most of those things subsequently happened).

NXIVM initiated several legal actions against me – and got the Albany County District Attorney, P. David Soares, to twice indict me on trumped-up charges. Eventually, they drove me into bankruptcy – and became the “tipping point” for several personal relationships. They also hacked into my computer and stole a great deal of personal information – and they hired at least one firm to illegally obtain my bank records, health records, phone records, etc.

The great irony in all this is that I’m the one who put together the “machine” that NXIVM subsequently used to destroy me and others. I’m the one who recruited the law firms, the lobbyists, the private investigators, etc. that, fueled with the Bronfmans’ money and Raniere’s insatiable desire to punish his “enemies”, eventually grew into the “machine” that hurt so many people. I wish that weren’t the case but it is.

In response to all this, I vowed that I would do whatever I could to help bring the entire NXIVM operation down. I started out by reaching out to Toni Natalie more than 13 years ago – and ever since then, I’ve been working with her and others to do whatever I could to help ensure that Raniere and his followers would be brought to justice.

Along the way, those of us who have been part of the anti-NXIVM force have had plenty of disappointments. Law enforcement officials who feigned interest – and promised to follow-up on the evidence that we turned over to them but never did. Politicians who promised to launch investigations – but never did.

It was not until June of last year that I actually started to believe that the NXIVM cult could be taken down. Because it was then that I first learned about the branding – which I immediately knew was a fatal mistake. My exact words at the time were: “You can do a lot of illegal things in this country and never get prosecuted – especially if you’ve got money. But, regardless of who you are, you cannot brand people and avoid prosecution”.

Getting involved with NXIVM is the worst mistake I ever made in life – and, trust me, I’ve made quite a few. And although there is nothing that I’ll ever be able to do to offset all the harm that I helped cause to lots of people, I will keep doing what I can to see that the Raniere/Bronfman reign of terror is over.

Let me finish with the same thought I started out with. Let’s applaud everyone who leaves the cult – and let’s applaud even louder for those who leave, take responsibility for what they did, apologize to those they harmed, and help to ensure that NXIVM is totally and forever destroyed.

  • Omar the Coward, I never said the CIA implanted anything in me. You are a liar, just as you got caught lying about the opposing attorneys who went after you for the ADA scam you ran in Austin. I never claimed to have made money when with Amway, that’s why it’s a scam, birdbrain. However, I did win the settlement. Amway thought they shut me up, but they didn’t. I also never paid them one penny, although they did fly me over the Prague in 2008 on their dime.

    • Yep, that is why after you were sued, you had to settle like a broke dick dog. Cuz you were guilty.

  • “5. I could no longer afford the time or money, and Amway could. Between my lawsuit and the Pokorny lawsuit, I am very disappointed in our legal system. The side with the money wins, hands down, regardless of the facts. The U.S. may have the best system in the world, but it is far from perfect, and I have no interest in participating in it as a member of a grand jury, trial jury, etc. The bottom line is we lost well over $100,000 and more importantly, a good size chunk of our lives were stolen from us chasing an illusion.” – Rational Scott Johnson

Yep, that was REAL VICTORY Scott!

    • No, just on a search for intelligent life on planet earth. It’s not easy. Interesting how everyone is interested in a handful of rich people getting scammed by the NXIVM MLM, but not millions of regular folks being scammed by Amway and other MLM scams. Must be the celebrity stalkers. Post after post. You cray cray.

    • The author perhaps does not know that Mark Hildreth was named in Joe’s Feb 2012 lawsuit. He knew what he was a part of. Now he is completely silent hoping not to be exposed.

  • Reply To Sultan Of Six:

I don’t want to just keep repeating myself but since you seem so hung up on this point, let me state unequivocally that everyone I included as a named defendant was someone I had reason to believe was involved in one or more of the cult’s illegal activities. If I left someone out who should have been named, it was simply because I was unaware of their involvement in that type of activity at the time I filed the lawsuit (February 2012). It wasn’t a matter of me just sitting down one day and writing down the names of everyone I could remember. I had a list that included the names of everyone who was a member of the cult at one point in time – and I became aware of some of the others who joined after the timeframe covered by that list. But, obviously, not everyone.

You’ve misinterpreted this sentence from my earlier response to you: “Many of those who were named were ‘only’ involved in the massive tax evasion scheme that NXIVM perpetrated from its inception”. That sentence does not mean that I included people that I knew to be innocent. To the contrary, it means that many of the named defendants were “only” involved in tax evasion activities whereas the others who were named were also involved in other illegal activities. I had no need – or desire – to name innocent people.

As for my comment about knowing who you are, I just assumed from your “handle” that you are the same person who used to post on the Saratoga In Decline blog as Sultan of Six (What are the odds that two people using that handle would be following blogs that focused on NXIVM – and that both of them would be big fans of Kristin Kreuk?). If that’s not the case, then my comment was inapplicable.

BTW, I think it’s fine that you want to protect the reputation of someone that you believe didn’t do anything wrong. Everyone should be so lucky to have such a guardian angel.

    • – If I left someone out who should have been named, it was simply because I was unaware of their involvement in that type of activity at the time I filed the lawsuit (February 2012).

And like I said, it is confounding that you left Sarah Edmondson off of such a list but not Mark Vicente when both of them were partners in two different centers, each running one of them – Mark in LA and Sarah in Vancouver. And Kristin likely only dealt with the Vancouver and Tacoma centers, the latter being run by Susan Donnes and Kim Woolhouse. The history of what happened to the Tacoma center doesn’t need repeating here, but suffice it is to say that Susan Donnes closed it down at least partly because she was told not to pay government taxes by those back East. So I’d like to know what sort of illegal tax evasion activities Kristin specifically engaged in and what evidence you have of it (unless it is just presumed to have occurred from something that was supposedly taught at NXIVM) if the two main centers she was somewhat active in had 1) the person who ran the Vancouver center not identified on your list which implies she didn’t engage in such activities and 2) the person who ran the Tacoma center shutting it down due to being asked to engage in such activities.

      – As for my comment about knowing who you are, I just assumed from your “handle” that you are the same person who used to post on the Saratoga In Decline blog as Sultan of Six

Yes that was me. How you got the idea that I slept with with a high ranking NXIVM member from whatever I posted there is beyond me since I never explicitly defended NXIVM or anyone in NXIVM except for Kristin.

      • Sometimes the truth is confounding. This is one of those times.

And speaking of the truth, since you ARE the same guy who used to comment on Saratoga In Decline, I now stand by my prior comment. And speaking of confounding, you’re denials about ever being in the Albany area and about ever spending the night with a former High-Rank member of NXIVM are just that. I could remind you where you had dinner one of the nights you were there – or tell you what brand of camera you use – if that would help refresh your memory.

I’m not going to publicly detail the evidence regarding NXIVM’s massive tax evasion scheme – and who participated in it. Suffice to say that those are matters that are FINALLY being looked at by law enforcement authorities.

      • – And speaking of the truth, since you ARE the same guy who used to comment on Saratoga In Decline, I now stand by my prior comment.

You can stand by it all you want. It still doesn’t make it true.

        – And speaking of confounding, you’re denials about ever being in the Albany area and about ever spending the night with a former High-Rank member of NXIVM are just that.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. Like I said, I have never even been to Albany, NY. The closest I’ve been to it is 1) when I was born in small city in Western NY many decades ago or 2) driving through the state of New York on my way to Toronto over ten years ago. That is all.

I’d like to hear who you think I am because I know I’m not that person. This has peeked my interest greatly. My alias is something I took over twenty years ago as my username on AIM instant messenger and it has persisted ever since. Most of my closest friends know it. I’ve used it on various websites ever since, e.g., the YouTube, a Dallas Cowboys forums, a few Kristin Kreuk forums, John Tighe’s blog, on Twitter (which I used to have but no longer exists), here, etc.

        – I’m not going to publicly detail the evidence regarding NXIVM’s massive tax evasion scheme – and who participated in it. Suffice to say that those are matters that are FINALLY being looked at by law enforcement authorities.

We’ll see. If your so-called evidence is anything like the evidence that you have for me being this person you say I am who supposedly slept with a high ranking NXIVM member, then there is nothing anyone who supposedly engaged in this activities should fear. I can say with total certainty, cross my heart and hope to die, burn in Hell forever if I’m lying under the eyes of God, you are ABSOLUTELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, WRONG.

        • Actually, looking at a map, the city I was born in is closer to central New York though on the East side and so that would probably be the closest I’ve ever been to Albany, NY. Toronto is much farther away on the West side and New York City is further south on the East side.

    • Mr O’Hara said: “let me state unequivocally that everyone I included as a named defendant was someone I had reason to believe was involved in one or more of the cult’s illegal activities.”

You named over a hundred people that you had “reason to believe” were involved in crimes…including some man or woman with only a first name of Sandy.

I hope you were better at identifying the criminals than you were at identifying Sandy’s last name.

    • Hi Joe.

Just to clarify, are you saying the individuals in your February 2012 lawsuit, as an absolute minimum, were all involved in tax evasion? And on top of that crime, others named were involved with other crimes?

Basically, the tax evasion was the common crime all the named individuals were a part of and on top of that, some were involved with additional crimes?

Also, do you have reason to believe they knowingly participated in criminal activity?

Finally, you have said that the authorities ignored you and your evidence before. Have you since been in contact with the current investigators regarding your February 2012 lawsuit? Are they aware of the individuals you have named?

Thanks. Also, hopefully you stay active on Frank Report as one of the original opponents of this criminal cult.

      • Many – not all – of the people who were named in my 2012 lawsuit were engaged, in some way, with NXIVM’s massive tax evasion scheme. Some of those were only involved in not reporting the income they received from NXIVM and/or NXIVM-related entities. Others were involved in many more aspects of the tax evasion scheme – which involved lots of different components: failure to report income; maintaining multiple sets of books for various companies; establishing multiple companies with the same name in different jurisdictions; unreported cash income; bringing in unreported money from foreign countries; structuring; money laundering; and on and on; filing false reports; etc..

In addition, others that I named were involved in crimes that were not financial in nature. Several of those crimes have already surfaced – and I believe that more will do so in the future.

And before someone reminds me again, Yes – I didn’t name everyone who should have been named in the 2012 lawsuit. But if they were left out, it was because (a) I didn’t have enough evidence to make a claim against them or (b) I hadn’t heard about their involvement in whatever illegal operations they were involved in.

    • Hi Joe.

Just to clarify, are you saying the individuals in your February 2012 lawsuit, as an absolute minimum, were all involved in tax evasion? And on top of that crime, others named were involved with other crimes?

  • Well said Joe; it has been great working with you to get the truth out there. NXIVM sued me saying I destroyed their business (by telling the truth of what I found out). In the end, I won with help from you, Toni, Peter Skolnik and others.

Any damage done while working for NXIVM can be undone by working to bring the truth forward. Joe, you have been one of the front runners in getting the truth out.

Some just kept their blinders on longer; some knew/know what they were doing.

I agree that coming forward to the investigation team is the best option out there. There is nowhere to hide and behind Clare’s money is not going to save you.

Clare spend it all, all your grandfather and dad left you. Hire 5 – 10 lawyers for everyone. Finally, your and others paying legal fees is now spent on defending yourself and your co-defendants instead of trying to destroy people’s lives.

What has destroyed NXIVM is Keith, Nancy, the Bronfman sister Clare and Sara, Karen U, (Pam C, Barbara J now passed on and finally free), the heads of NXIVM Mexico Emiliano and Alex and others behaviors, not telling the truth.

Now if you want to help the Cult by lying for them, you might want to think about it long and hard. Is years behind bars worth your loyalty to “The Mission”?

  • I don’t think Frank wants to ban Scott or anyone else who post here. Frank makes money off ads placed on this blog and #’s count when it comes to selling your blog. I personally have stopped coming to the blog daily as I just can’t stand the Scott crap. I used to post daily about things I know about NXIVM and their evil empire, but I need to wash my hand everytime I read the shit Scott Johnson posts. His crap comes through the internet and is poison for the soul.

Frank if you need money do a go fund me, I give a lot to get Scott Johnson off the blog.

  • YOUR blog has been great for so many, I hope ex nxivm’s still come forward. I think it took a lot of courage for Joe to come forward and put himself out there. Good luck to all involved. I will no longer be posting while Scott Johnson is involved. Life is to short to subject oneself to unnecccessary insults and pain. I will continue to follow you Frank, I think you’ve done some amazing work here.

  • I think Scott Johnson is really off his meds today. Slamming everyone under the sun, for no other reason than he has no life.

He was sued by Amway and lost. He had to settle because he was guilty. He lamented the loss. And years later he claims he won.

Then claims he spent 4 years working undercover at Amway for the CIA. Wow.

Everyone, just please email Frank. The blog runs 100% better with Scott Johnson gone.

    • If Frank won’t ban him, something needs to be done. At least Toni get off an F-bomb towards him. Great job, Toni! We love you!!!

    • I never claimed I was working undercover for the CIA at Scamway. What I said was that it was the FBI! LOL!

The FBI required me to settle the frivolous Scamway lawsuit in order to protect my cover. It was a matter of national security. Now that my service to the FBI is complete, I can freely speak about Scamway and NXIVM. Also, I’ve never been on any “meds”, especially Thorazine. I don’t need them because I’m perfectly rational and sane! LOL!

      • Scott, get your lazy ass off the computer and come take your Thorazine. The doc said if you miss another dose you will go psychotic and I will NOT tolerate another crazy episode from you. Do it NOW!

        • I’m married to MR. Johnson, not MRS. Johnson, so obviously this “Mrs. Johnson” is another imposter. Frank, you need to ban anyone who claims to be MRS. Johnson. Do it NOW! LOL!

    • Omar, I’m sure you don’t like me making comments, since I point out what a proven crooked lawyer you are. You should come on my radio show and we can debate how I beat Amway and you’re a crooked lawyer. Sound good, Omar? Coward, you won’t accept. Right Omar?

      • HAHAHAHA! I wouldn’t waste a nanosecond on your Internet Radio show, where you and Ben Szemkus talk about the CIA implants inside your head.

Boy Scott, you really BEAT AMWAY:

“5. The bottom line is we lost well over $100,000 and more importantly, a good size chunk of our lives were stolen from us chasing an illusion.” – Rational Scott Johnson.

HAHAHAHA. Good one. Yeah, that was a real victory Scott in addition to your ‘undercover work’. So Sad.

I really feel sorry for your wife. She works all day at a thankless job, so you can give life to your delusions. She works to pay the bills while you sit on the sofa all day long. Sad. Just Sad.

  • Scott, your probably a nice guy under all that anger and hate, but you are affecting this blog negatively and it’s not fair to those you attack. Whatever happens I wish you well.

  • Please ban Scott Johnson. He occasionally has something to contribute, but that is far outweighed by his frequent petty attacks on other posters. It is not worth it to wade through his mud-slinging to find the few useful comments. Thanks for considering it.

      • It’s too late for the people involved with NXIVM to comment. Keith is in jail, others arrested and out on massive bail bonds, etc. My massive presence should have zero impact on them coming forward. The problem is they are cowards, and will probably continue to be cowards. It is THEIR fault so many additonal people have been scammed, because they didn’t come forward years ago. Cowards get what they deserve.

        • This I agree with. Just tone down your aggressive comments on those who are at least trying to do something about all this.

          • I’m trying to wake people up. It’s not enough for you to merely agree with me. You need to be less “aggressive” with cowards and be more effective with them to speak up to prevent others being scammed in the future. They have had ample chances to speak up for years on this website and other social media platforms, and have failed to do so. What have you done to get them to speak up, in addtion to criticizing my technique?

        • Scott, I understand your point, but I don’t agree that the cult flourished because people didn’t come forward sooner. As stated elsewhere on this blog, many people reported the activities of NXIVM to many different Albany area authorities, providing documentary evidence, and what did they get? A big fat zilch. Nada. Nothing. Zip. Everyone in power was either bought off or intimidated. And those formerly associated with the group who dared to openly and bravely defy Keith or the organization were either sued into oblivion or arrested on trumped up charges. Some may have been killed. So are the silent ones REALLY cowards, as you suggest? I don’t agree either that the dangers are entirely gone because KR is behind bars.

It is NOT too late for former members with knowledge / evidence to make a huge difference. The prosecution needs all the help it can get, given the army of defense lawyers and the defenses they are likely to raise: (“It was all consensual.” “I knew nothing about it.” “OK – I knew about it, but I didn’t agree.” “I am humble and live like a pauper.” And on and on.

  • If you can provide an answer as to why you believe there is a NXIVM connection to O’Hara’s other lawsuit, Scott, then do so instead of posting lies about me. Talk about distraction with a shiny object! You’re the master of that tactic, Scott…..instead of answering me you attack my character and make up false claims about me.

That’s not particularly surprising behaviour coming from a guy who was sued by Amway You should know by now what false claims can bring you, Scott.

Answer the question (if you can), Scott, instead of attacking me….So why are you bringing up this other case?

    • Flowers, it’s called credibility. Joe’s credibility is severely damaged, because he won’t even take his own advice (admit, apologize, act) when asked to do so. Amway didn’t sue me for false claims and I won my lawsuit. Joe lost. Did that get through your thick skull?

          • No, it doesn’t say you have more to contribute than others. It says you have no life and likely little self-esteem. You’re on here all day correcting, belittling, antagonizing and puffing up your own importance. People are cowards, people are stupid, you’ve got “special” insight to share. Do you treat others like this in your personal life? Do you treat your family this way? Is this really what you want to be? A troll? You get the reaction you get from others because of the aggressive and socially inept way you choose to interact with them. You’re old enough to know better.

Unless you don’t know better. Maybe you really, truly just don’t know how to interact with others. Maybe you don’t have very good social skills. Which would explain why everyone’s comments to you seem to fall on deaf ears. In that case I suppose we should just ignore everything provocative thing you say in compassionate silence. Hmm.

        • At least Shadowstate is usually directing his comments more towards NXIVM members rather than attacking commenters, at least some of us are people whom have unfortunately had dealings with NXIVM in the past.

          • Nope Shadow perv is just as bad. And it is interesting that with Johnson doing so much posting shadow perv has not. I really think they are the same putz.

      • So Scott, am I correct then in assuming that your purpose in attacking Joe is that you’re trying to destroy his credibility?
Why would you want to do that, considering your claims to be against NXIVM? But yet you’re now trying to discredit and destroy the credibility of a person who was severely harassed by this cult. Why?

        • As usual, Flowers, your assumption is 100% wrong. Joe hurt his own credibility, first by breaking the law and secondly by not taking is own advice, especially after I asked him to “admit, apologize, act,” as he suggested others should do. But he is unwilling to take his own advice, which means he’s a three-time loser. He struck out. The remainder of your “questions” are therefore moot.

          • Haha
            More evasive tactics by Scott.
(BTW, how would you know if I’m usually incorrect? That’s just another assumption on your part , Scott!)

So you still refused to answer my question….
What is your purpose in attacking him? How is attacking him beneficial to the victims and former NXIVM members?

    • A settlement was reached. That is not a win. Amway sued and achieved their goal which was to shut Scott Johnson up. And when he didn’t shut up, he got fined another $5K.

For 17 years of his life Scott Johnson sold Amway crap. 17 years. Supported all the while by his wife who is a secretary in Texas public schools. Texas ranks 41st on public school spending in our nation. She works hard for very little money while her husband sits home bullying everyone online and rewriting a fictional account of his own sad history. In his own words:

“5. The bottom line is we lost well over $100,000 and more importantly, a good size chunk of our lives were stolen from us chasing an illusion.” https://stoptheamwaytoolscam.wordpress.com/introduction/

Also, and importantly, Scott Johnson is intolerably rude to NXIVM people who are trying to wake up and escape. When he was brainwashed for 17 years himself. Ban him.

      • Scott – why don’t you admit and apologize to us for lying about the outcome of your Amway lawsuit? You coward. The truth will set you free.

        • Scott- why have you been silent about losing a lawsuit because of the deep pockets of your opponent? Didn’t you think that was relevant and would have helped others on this site? Since you contribute so much, you seem to think you aren’t a coward. But attacking people and simultaneously being a hypocrite… I dunno, pretty cowardly… Your lack of credibility is certainly confirmed because you won’t take your own advise. Admit and apologize.

      • Thanks for trying to cherry-pick my website Omar, now everybody can read it for themselves and see that you severely distorted the facts.

You’re right, I didn’t win against Amway, I won HUGELY. The terms of the settlement allow me to say that Amway is a scam virtually anywhere. That is not an Amway win. Amway can’t change the settlement, either. Read the settlement on my website: https://stoptheamwaytoolscam.wordpress.com/about/

The fine for contempt was $500, not $5,000. Or, as some dummies here would say, 500$ or 5,000$. The judge was compromised and/or senile. Again, read my website for the full story and see our “great” legal system in action. He probably has a garage full of SA8 (google that if you want to know what it means). Also, it wasn’t “another” $500, it was just $500, nothing more. But keep lying, it goes along well with your complete lack of credibility. Unlike most people here, who are completely intimidated by Raniere, even though he’s in jail and probably won’t get out alive, I was willing to keep educating people about Amway’s scam, even though Amway was playing dirty courthouse tricks.

The mere mention of “selling Amway crap” shows how much you don’t know. It was about 16 and a half years, not 17, and only the first 12 years was as a “true believer.” However, as soon as I found out about the tool scam, it was a much different type of involvement. You lie again about me being unemployed, and Frank should ban you for that. Come on, Frank. Ban Omar. Do it NOW!

There is hardly anything to escape from regarding NXIVM, it has disintegrated. It’s virtually nothing. If someone can’t escape from that, they deserve to be trapped by NXIVM.

I wasn’t brainwashed by Amway, I was lied to, as 10s of millions of others have been. You should be banned for trying to scam businesses in Texas, Omar. Do it Frank. Ban Omar NOW!

  • So here we have an extremely helpful, productive posting by someone who knows more about NXIVM than most of us here. I for one am laser focused on 1) keeping Raniere imprisoned for life, as he richly deserves; and 2) dismantling / crippling / destroying the rest of the cult (not the people) forever. It cannot be allowed to go on. The massive illegal activities (money laundering, tax evasion, falsifying documents, and so much more), and, more importantly, the abuse of individuals on so many levels – physical, emotional, psychological, financial – HAS to be stopped.

The post suggests that those former members who have information to help further destroy NXIVM, do so. I second that suggestion, and I’m glad it’s been featured on this blog. Things really are at a turning point. Everyone in the Albany area was paid off or silenced, allowing this monstrous organization to flourish and escalate for decades, harming people with impunity. Now, finally, the EDNY has stepped in.

But what do we get in response on this blog? Accusations, mocking, attacking, nitpicking, endless infighting, insults, and arguments. Very sad. Soon no one will dare to publishing anything of value on this site. You can bet no former members will.

      • Many former members have not been silent. When former members post, you attack them, Scott. Do you want them to post or not, Scott?

As if the real dangers of speaking up aren’t enough, we have this dipshit typing ridiculous nonsense that is an attempt to goad us down to his sad level. Why don’t you STFU, for once in your pathetic existence, Scott?

        • I want them to come clean. They would be torn to pieces in court by the opposing attorneys, just as Manafort’s former assistant has been in the current court case. Why would I ask them questions AND not want them to post? That’s silly.

The “dangers” of speaking up are now nearly zero, given the arrests and indictments. You cowards should care less about yourself and more about helping others. You can even speak up anonymously, but refuse to do it. But go ahead and stay a coward and don’t speak up, you cowards will get everything you deserve, zero results owing to your input.

I would support banning cowards, but they’ve already banned themselves by their silence.

          • What!??!
Now you think you have the ability to act as the prosecutor in this? Manaforts former aides are being torn to pieces because they’re liars, Scott.
And hopefully the truth will speak for itself.

Really? I disagree. I am trying to make contributions to this blog. If I have ever tried to placate anyone, it was to try to keep a productive conversation going and stop the never ending bickering. I have nothing to gain from any recognition here. If you want me to go, I have no problem. I will tune in for the trial in January, 2019.

    • Thanks OCD, this is my sentiments exactly, only expressed better than I ever could.

Knowledgable posters and informative posts like this one gets potentially marginalized by the comments section’s trolls and provocateurs.

Before Frank started deleting off-topic and inflammatory comments, I asked him to consider closing the comments section altogether – imo no info would be lost as everyone with inside knowledge of the cult knows how to email a lead to Frank. Reading the comments to this post makes me hope he will consider this option.

This is not a free speech issue.

      • Some of the conversations we used to be able to have were helpful and healing for some of us who have actually experienced interactions with NXIVM.

It’s unfortunate that a narcissistic troll wants to destroy that.

I do agree, though, trolling and internet bullying do not qualify for free speech protection.

      • Thank you, Appeti. “(I)nformative posts like this one get potentially marginalized by the comments section’s trolls and provocateurs.” Well said. EVERYONE – let’s keep our eye on the ball! 1) Imprison KR forever. 2) End NXIVM and any offshoots. Let’s not lambast each other. Let this place be welcoming for those who have abandoned the Cult asnd have something to say or offer.

Look, I know this is not my website. I am only making suggestions. I firmly believe that this is a movement that has potentially headed off another Guyana-type tragedy. Read about Jim Jones. He was actually a much nicer guy than Keith, at least at the beginning.

    • I agree OCD, and I only posted the comments I did in order to force Scott into answering the questions.
If he has some purpose for attempting to destroy Joe’s credibility, it’s really not apparent to me (or to anyone else, I think)
It comes across as a petty attention grab, IMO…

Sorry to contribute to the bickering , but I think Scott really crossed the line with his comments to Joe.
      Not acceptable.

      • Understand, Flowers. Someone needs to protect those who have abandoned NXIVM! We should not allow them to be attacked.

    • Heather, your soap opera-like comments waste everyone’s time on this blog. I’m asking great questions, most of which have gone unanswered. Also, the proper word is “YOU’RE,” not “YOUR.” I’ll use both properly in a single sentence: YOUR position that I should be banned is silly, and YOU’RE so clueless it’s hilarious. Make sense?

  • Being named in a civil lawsuit is not evidence of guilt, it’s an accusation made against that person. Of course all the evidence is not presented in the allegation.

Not sure why some people who comment here are so involved in this, such as Sultan(who it seems , according to Joe O’hara, has been lying about his identity. It appears Sultan is not just obsessed fan?)

And why is Scott attacking Joe? You are not even involved in any of this, Scott, so I’m confused as to why you’re bringing up this other case, ( a case which has nothing to do with NXIVM.)

Is it just so that you something to comment on? Does it make you feel important to think you’ve discovered some dirt on someone ? Did you actually think everyone else was unaware of this other lawsuit against O’hara?

I’m sure most people already knew about that, but are smart enough to realize that is a separate matter.

    • Scott is only here to attack people to try to make himself fell less small. The only pattern to it is the consistency of occurrence.

It also seems to usually happen late at night. Probably when he has been imbibing. That would explain the stupidity of the attacks.

    • Using your “logic,” Flowers, you shouldn’t be here either. You’ve never been in NXIVM, never known anyone who has, and never been involved in any other MLM scam. Why are YOU here?

Most of your ignorant questions are answered in my comments below, try reading for comprehension for a change.

      • You need to read for comprehension, Scott. I didn’t ask WHY you were here, I asked why you were attacking Joe and bringing up his other lawsuit.
Surely you can understand my simple question, but you refuse to answer.

Again it’s distraction with a shiny object time… These are common tactics used by liars ,Scott. In order to evade answering questions liars will either attack the character of the other person, or start throwing in a few red herrings.
        You seem to do both.

  • Note To Sultan Of Six: Just because you don’t like – or agree with – my answers doesn’t mean that I’m not answering your questions. You keep claiming that my lawsuit “…named everyone who was more than superficially involved in NXIVM…” – which is simply not the case. I had the names of thousands of students – including two of David Soares’ sisters and his brother-in-law – and left the vast majority of them off the lawsuit. Many of those who were named were “only” involved in the massive tax evasion scheme that NXIVM perpetrated from its inception – but since I was trying to attract the attention of the New York State Department of Taxation & Finance, I included them (I had already turned over their names to the agency several months earlier – and it did absolutely nothing with the information).

As I assume you know, the purpose of a “Complaint” in a civil lawsuit is not to lay out every piece of evidence regarding the alleged misdeeds of the defendants. That’s what trials are for. So, just because you don’t find details of each named defendant’s alleged misdeeds in the “Complaint” means absolutely nothing.

I had absolutely no motivation to leave anyone out – and I did reserve the right to name more defendants based on new information that I expected to learn during discovery. That’s pretty standard practice in this type of lawsuit.

I understand you’re unhappy that I named Kristin Kreuk but not some of the others who were involved in the Vancouver operation. But just because I inadvertently left some out does not mean that she should have been left out too.

PS/Although I could easily expose your true identity, I see no point in doing that. Suffice to say that sleeping with one of NXIVM’s former High-Rank members does not make you an expert on the cult.

    • – You keep claiming that my lawsuit “…named everyone who was more than superficially involved in NXIVM…” –

No I don’t “keep claiming” it. I said “it APPEARS that you named everyone more than SUPERFICIALLY involved…”

Which means that you would name everyone who you could remember that took several courses and/or were coaches and not just one or two courses and realized it was not for them. Most people who know about NXIVM already know Kristin was involved in the it for at least five years, taking and coaching courses, attending at least one Vanguard week and one Acapella Innovations as well as travelling to Albany more than a few times.

None of these activities entails that she participated in any illegal activities or wrongdoing.

      – Many of those who were named were “only” involved in the massive tax evasion scheme that NXIVM perpetrated from its inception

“MANY”, not all, which means you effectively threw people under the bus who may be completely innocent of any wrongdoing to “get the attention of the New York State Department…”

The fact that you left off Sarah Edmondson is confounding if what you say is true since she was involved with NXIVM for a few years before Kristin, ran that Vancouver center, and was one of the higher ranking members of the group achieved the limited status of Proctor. Which implies that you really weren’t paying attention to detail when listing names.

How is it possible that someone who ran a center and likely dealt with the day-to-day operations of the corporation was less involved with your alleged illegal activities than someone who was her friend and was less involved in that center as she had what could be labelled as a better than average career in her industry outside of it, such that the former was left off the list and the latter wasn’t?

      – So, just because you don’t find details of each named defendant’s alleged misdeeds in the “Complaint” means absolutely nothing

And just because you name them also means nothing.

      – I understand you’re unhappy that I named Kristin Kreuk but not some of the others who were involved in the Vancouver operation.

I too would be unhappy if I was named in a lawsuit just because of my involvement in a group that I believed was doing something good in promoting self-help courses and its mission about ethics that turned out to be a front for a cult that was involved in more insidious activities that I had no knowledge of, that there was no obvious evidence of, and that both legal and political authorities would never do anything about for AT LEAST fifteen years.

      – PS/Although I could easily expose your true identity, I see no point in doing that. Suffice to say that sleeping with one of NXIVM’s former High-Rank members does not make you an expert on the cult.

I have no idea what you’re talking about. I have NEVER been involved in NXIVM, nor with any member of NXIVM, nor with anyone who has even taken a single course in NXIVM, let alone a high ranking one. I have NEVER even had a two-way conversation with anyone from NXIVM such that it could be claimed that I have an indirect “association” to the group. My “involvement” with NXIVM is reading and posting about it on the Internet due to my fanship out of concern for Kristin Kreuk. I have never even been to Albany, NY.

      • He sure wishes he had though.
He is spanking it over her every night.
All anyone has to do is mention KK’s name, and like beatlejuice out he comes.
He is obsessed and infatuated with her way beyond reason.
        Get a life, stalker.

  • Now that I think about it some more, I may have left out the Vancouver-based members of the cult because of jurisdictional issues and/or because the U.S. Marshals couldn’t serve them. But everyone who was named in the lawsuit had definitely been tied to at least one of the charges set forth in it.

At the time the lawsuit was filed, I had access to NXIVM’s membership roll. So, there were literally thousands of known members who were not named in the lawsuit.

Although it was certainly filed as a civil lawsuit, its underlying purpose was to expose all the known criminal activities that were going on in the cult in the hope that doing so would goad local law enforcement authorities to undertake their own investigations. That, of course, never happened and the criminal activities continued – and even expanded – for another 5 years.

Had the local law enforcement authorities intervened as I hoped they would back in 2012, Raniere would have been stopped much sooner – and some of his most heinous crimes would not have occurred. Instead, Raniere was able to get the Albany County District Attorney to bring criminal charges against Toni Natalie, John Tighe and me in effort to shut us up – which actually worked quite well for a while.

But when Frank Parlato started this blog, he created a new opportunity to expose what was going in the cult – and to, once again, push the local law enforcement authorities to do something. Even then, it is quite likely that nothing would have happened if Catherine Oxenberg had not come forward to talk about the branding – and Sarah Edmondson had not publicly confirmed it was true. And when something finally did happen, it was the law enforcement authorities in the Eastern District of New York who were willing to take on the Raniere/Bronfman criminal enterprise.

To this day, not one criminal charge has ever been filed against the cult – or any member of the cult – by any of the law enforcement authorities in and around Albany, NY. That includes the Office of the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District, the FBI, the New York State Attorney General, the New York State Police, the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance, the New York State Department of Health, the Albany County District Attorney, the Albany County Sheriff, the Albany County Department of Health, the Albany Police, the Saratoga County District Attorney, the Saratoga County Sheriff, and/or the Saratoga Springs Police.

And therein lies another story that, hopefully, will see the light of day at some point in the not too distant future. We have won some very important battles in the past few months but even with those victories, the war goes on…Tick-tock, Tick-tock…

  • Bravo. This is exactly what I have been saying all along. We may not know who is cooperating with the Feds at the moment, which is the only reason someone could have for not speaking out.

When it goes to trial, and we find out who has, and who hasn’t, we will know the truth of the character of people like Kristin Kreuk, Mark Hildreth, et al.

I watched the re-air of Scientology: The Aftermath’s Reddit AMA episode the other day, and thought of Mark Vicente, Tony Zarattini, and Sarah Edmonston seeing Mike Rinder. Mike Rinder did far more horrific things than these people, yet they have followed his excellent example for how to leave a cult, and stand up to it. People can’t change the past. What they do when they leave is what makes the difference going forward.

    • – “Bravo. This is exactly what I have been saying all along. We may not know who is cooperating with the Feds at the moment, which is the only reason someone could have for not speaking out.”

Not necessarily. There can very well be people who have zero intention of talking who are simply being cowards.

      – “When it goes to trial, and we find out who has, and who hasn’t, we will know the truth of the character of people like Kristin Kreuk, Mark Hildreth, et al.”

For these two to talk at the trial, that would mean they have to acknowledge and admit that they participated in criminal activity. Kreuk claims she “never experienced any illegal or nefarious activity”. Taking part in the trial in January(?) 2019 would contradict that. If she is talking to the feds, she would not want the public and media to know about it because it would expose her.

  • Thank you for that piece of sound advice, Joe. I know someday the truth about your indictments will emerge and your good name will be clear as your good conscience!

  • I will say it until my death, the biggest problem with NXIVM were the corrupt politicians and law enforcement who enabled and participated in this cult. If you assholes in New York do not vote out that POS Cuomo something worse will take NXIVMs spot

  • In my 2012 lawsuit, I named everyone that I knew was part of the NXIVM criminal enterprise. If I left someone off who should have been included, it’s simply because I didn’t know about them at the time.

I’m not really sure which of the named defendants in the 2012 lawsuit were actually served. But since the U.S. Marshals were doing all the serves, there should be a public record of that.

As for the criminal charges that were brought against me in El Paso, I think I have more than paid the price for them. And I will have much more to say about those charges at a later date.

Note to Scott Johnson (@ScottTexJohnson): Bringing up those El Paso charges is a classic “look at the shiny object” dodge by someone who is seeking to distract from the facts at hand. Please explain what they have to do with anything that was in my post. As in all wars, there are only two sides in the battle to take down NXIVM: “us” and “them”. And you are definitely not part of “us”.

    • In the appendix of your lawsuit you listed a dozen or so members you said MAY have participated or knew of crimes. Did you have any evidence against them, or you only assumed their guilt because of their association with charged defendants?

      • It’s 2012 and O’Hara doesn’t know about Sarah Edmondson or Nicki Clyne even though he’s suing NIXVM, so I’m gonna guess then he didn’t actually have specific evidence against those also named individuals or even really know who was doing what, if he was unaware of the woman who owned and was the top recruiter in the company’s most active center and also didn’t know about one of the gals who had been living, recruiting and coaching in Albany with Raniere since 2008.

      • Here is what the lawsuit stated with some of the names:

Based upon information and belief, there are numerous other individuals who have (a) assisted
NXIVM/ESP and/or other named and to-be-named Defendants with respect to a variety of
tortious and/or illegal activities – and/or (b) benefitted financially from the operations of the
various NXIVM/ESP-Related Business Entities. Although many of these individuals will be
identified during the course of discovery with respect to this lawsuit, the following individuals
have already been identified as likely members of one or both of those groups:

        Anthony N. Ames a/k/a/ “Nippy”
        Alexander Betancourt Lesdesma
        Pamela A. Cafritz
        Mark Hildreth
        Siobhan J. Hotaling
        Kristin Laura Kreuk
        Allison Mack
        Virginia (Ginger) Mcintosh
        Dawn Morrison
        Megan Mumford
        Ivy Nevares
        Kathy Russell a/k/a “Sage”
        Emiliano Salinas Occelli
        Lauren R. Salzman
        Michelle D. Salzman
        Karen A. Unterreiner a/k/a “Gozer”
        Juliana Vicente
        Mark A. Vicente
        Antonio (Tony) Zarattini

        • It is not your fault, Anon, but for some (legal?) reason the lines preceding what you properly supplied have a less definitive accusation of the also named…I have ALL CAPed the key word:

          Exhibit 4
          Case l:12-cv-00252-GLS-ATB Document 1-1 Filed 02/09/12 Page 19 of 41

Other Individuals Who MAY Have Participated In Tortious And/Or Illegal
Activities – And/Or Who MAY Have Benefited Financially From The
          Operations Of NXIVM/ESP And/Or Other NXIVM/ESP-Related Business

          • Another note:

The list of also named who MAY have participated or profited from crimes is over 100!!!

It now looks like Mr O’Hara just posted a list of NXIVM members hoping to “catch a fish” without having any real evidence against any of them…so being included on this list is NOT EVIDENCE OF GUILT.

        • Don’t know how much credibility the list has if you don’t include Edmondson on a list of those who have benefited financially, buthHere’s the full list of the additional people O’Hara believed were likely to have maybe done something. And looking at the court record it doesn’t look like any of these people were summoned

    • No Joe, you’re dead wrong. Bringing up El Paso conviction (not mere “charges”) shows who you are. You paid your price, now it’s time to admit, apologize, and act. Why say more at a later date? Let’s have it all right now, Joe. It’s not at all about a shiny object or a distraction, it’s about WHO you are. You can’t take your own advice, Joe. How do you expect anyone else to do so? We all know it’s not just two sides, life is much more complex than that and you know it is, Joe. So stop lying. Ever hear the saying, “the enemy of my enemy is my friend?” Think about it, Joe.

  • I’ve never understood the overwhelming hatred for Kristin Kreuk.
In an ideal world she would have gone public against NXIVM but at least she left before the insanity really ramped up.
    ,
And what bought down the cult was the brutality and madness of the branding.
    That brought down Federal heat..
Had Raniere and Mack not been so insane, NXIVM would still be going strong.

    • I don’t think the KK hatred is “overwhelming.” Going public is the key action to shut down these scams. Think about the number of people who wouldn’t have been taken advantage of in the cases of Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Bernie Madoff, etc., if someone had spoken up decades ago.

      • People did speak up and were disbelived, punished and had careers/reputations ruined because of the money/power these individuals had. It’s not hard to see why, when faced with those precedents, you might feel hopeless about speaking up and just want want to spare yourself additional damage.

It’s easy for us to sit here in judgement when most of us haven’t had to face the prospect of financial, career or reputation ruin; unending harassment; and public ridicule, etc. I would like to think I would have been one who spoke out, but I really don’t know. Most of us wouldn’t until we were in that boat.

          • [Sigh] Too much here to rebut, and I’m too tired to do the rebutting. And it’s pointless anyway because clearly you are not here to engage in civil or intelligent discussion. And you’re not here to wake people up, as you’ve stated in other posts. You’re here simply for attention.

So to get back to what’s really important here. Clearly I misspelled “believed” in my above post, and yet you overlooked the opportunity to mock me for it (since apparently no typo is too small for your mock-inations). I feel cheated of my public flogging. Also, I’m a coward for not wanting to use my real name or a consistent fake name for your personal attacks, so obviously I warrant some humiliation. Care to take another shot?

        • Very good points.
Had Kristin Kreuk come out openly against NXIVM five or six years ago, she would have been harassed the way other defectors and dissidents were.

          Look at Sarah Edmondson.
When she even went so far as to show that she had been branded Clare Bronfman still tried to have criminal charges brought against Edmondson in Vancouver.

I can not condemn people who were trying to be prudent in the face of repression.

        • Those who spoke out about Weinstein turned against Weinstein. There are people who did not speak out against NXIVM/Raniere because they did not turn against him. They were still supporters of NXIVM through all the controversies and whatever insider information they had. There is a difference. Kristin Kreuk never turned against NXIVM or Raniere, therefore had zero intention of using whatever fame she has to speak out. She is significantly more famous then Sarah Edmondson and her words could of drawn a lot of media attention to the anti-NXIVM movement. KK can not be considered the same as someone who wanted to speak out but was ignored. She did not want NXIVM to collapse.

    • Neither heard of NXIVM before 2018. They hijack the comment section, cause real ex-members to stay away, and many of their comments are flat-out wrong. It’s a shame. If they really cared about the good of the former members of NXIVM and ending it’s reign, they would be able to see that their posts should significantly reduce in number.

      • Actually, I heard of NXIVM in the fall of last year, when the NYT story came out. If you would simply engage in the conversation, I wouldn’t be “hijacking” the comments section. Point out where my comments are wrong. It’s a shame you don’t do this. NXIVM is largely over, so it’s time for ex-members to move on and stop wallowing in self-pity. If you really cared, you would admit that you’re wrong and stop whining.

    • Just because the branding made news, doesn’t mean NXIVM hadn’t “ramped up” till then. For once, why don’t you STFU and maybe sit back & learn form people who know what they are talking about. I’d personally LOVE to hear more from Toni and Joe and a hell of a lot less from you and Scot.

          • You are only here for part of the truth, not the whole truth. Your make yourself more obvious with every post. Idk why Frank even bothers with you. I never denied what Joe did against NXIVM is good, but not taking his own advice before he tries to tell others what to do is cowardly and hypocritical. Simple as that.

        • I can’t imagine what satisfaction you get from acting like a spiteful child here. Harassing ex-nx members? on The Frank Report? If you weren’t so lazy and ineffectual about your own ‘amway’ battle, I’d swear you were hired to undermine the credibility of this site. You and your whatless ingrate mates.

          • I can’t imagine what satisfaction you get from ignoring that Joe should take some of his own medicine before he suggests others take it. I’m not harassing anybody, just noting the facts. On the Frank Report. How do you know how lazy and ineffectual I am against Amway? I wouldn’t hire you to clean my toilet. This site has increased credibility when all of the facts are exposed. You and your sycophant “ex-NXIVMs.”

    • Sometimes you seem human, the rest you appear to be a troll for Nxivm. Either way you damage this blog by creating as much discord as possible. Whatever is wrong with you go get professional help.

      • Heather, you pretend there are only two positions to take, either for NXIVM or against NXIVM, and everything else doesn’t exist. Humans are more complex than that. How does truth damage this blog? How is asking questions to come clean creating discord? Nothing is wrong with me, something is wrong with you. Go get professional help, you can start by pulling your head out of the sand or whatever orifice it’s stuck up.

        • In this regard, there’s only two sides: for or against. There is NO redeeming quality to be found in this cult. You clearly have no idea how much damage people suffered from becoming involved. Granted, it was a choice at the outset, but that very quickly became something else. Getting out of NXIVM is something I doubt you would have managed to accomplish, Scott –

          • 100% WRONG. Even Adolf Hitler had pictures taken with him holding children and with his pet German Shepard dog. Many people went to a NXIVM course or two and benefited. Scams can’t “succeed” unless there is some redeeming quality.

I know exactly how much damage NXIVM has caused, and it’s mostly rich people and a very small number compared to what other MLM scams have caused to “average” people. But since celebrities are part of the NXIVM story, it gets more media coverage and more people reading and commenting on this website.

I got out of Amway when I found out ALL of the facts, something you are unable and/or unwilling to do with Joe and Omar. If they simply came clean and took their own advice, I would be willing to move on. But they haven’t and you’re supporting them. You’re disgusting.

  • So well said my friend. Where would I be without you Joe? Most likely “dead, or in jail”.

You may have helped put together the “machine” that NXIVM used to destroy people – with the Bronfman money, but, the second you saw them for what they were, you began, and still today continued to fight relentlessly to expose the truth. Regardless of the high price you personally had to pay. Joe, I’m proud to call you my friend, and will forever be grateful to you for, “doing the right thing” by reaching out to save me. Your the best war buddy ever!

  • It’s August 2018, the cult is on it’s knees, Keith Raniere is in jail awaiting trial (finally), more arrests and jail time coming up, press coverage etc and you still have high profile people who have a lot to answer for being silent. They will never deserve applause.

The last few days, people on Frank Report have been talking about the cowardly actress and NXIVM top coach and recruiter Kristin Kreuk, whom you named in your February 2012 criminal lawsuit. Anything she may say now is all far too little, far too late. It’s not about making up for bad behaviour and being sorry. It’s all me, me, me.

Same with the coward Mark Hildreth. He actually made his twitter account private to try and ride out the storm. These people do not deserve applause. They had plenty of time to speak out. They did not because they supported the cult through all the controversies and what ever knowledge they had of the cult regarding crimes and simply unethical behaviour.

Let’s keep on making discoveries on all the people who made up this disgusting evil criminal cult. They are the reason the cult survived and thrived for so long. How can you stay with an organisation where you know the leader is an actual paedophile rapist? How can you continue to support that? It is inexcusable.

    • I understand what you’re saying – and, as I said in the post, people like Kristin Kreuk should, in my opinion, admit what their involvement was with the cult, apologize to those whom they harmed, and act to help take NXIVM down. But as critical as I am of her (and several others like her), she’s way ahead of those who are still committed to the cult and Raniere.

It’s very hard to be supportive and critical at the same time. But in this case, I think that’s what we need to be.

      • Since the angry person above keeps bringing up your February 2012 “criminal lawsuit”, 1st – wasn’t it a civil lawsuit, 2nd – of the 50-100 or so people named in the lawsuit, how many were actually served, 3rd – why weren’t Sarah Edmondson and Nicki Clyne named, and 4th – who among the following — Hildreth, Mack, Kreuk, Vicente – were actually served? Thanks

        • NXIVM has been getting away with their crimes for years. Why were Sarah Edmondson and Nicki Clyne not named? Maybe Joe did not know about them. Edmondson’s husband Anthony Ames was named. Edmondson and Clyne were also not named as people invited to Necker Island.

      • – people like Kristin Kreuk should, in my opinion, admit what their involvement was with the cult, apologize to those whom they harmed, and act to help take NXIVM down.

Perhaps you can expound upon this. First of all, what other than being a celebrity member and coach was her involvement with the cult? Because this information is already well known. Second of all, has anyone ever come forward publicly or privately and alleged that her specific involvement with the cult harmed them? Third of all, how is Kristin supposed to help take it down if she didn’t actually take part in anything illegal or do anything wrong? She gave a statement that clearly says she is embarrassed by her past association to NXIVM due to the sex cult allegations which has harmed her image more than anything else.

Now I’m not requesting answers that are vague, such as those that fall under the slippery slope umbrella of something like, she was a part of a cult and though she left years ago she’s partly responsible for the success of the cult, the illegal activities, and the secret master/slave sex cult machinations while all of these shenanigans were hidden from her. I’m requesting explanations that show that she was privy to illegal information and wrongdoing inside of cult influence and looked the other way.

Because otherwise how cults work is ignored and this effectively becomes victim blaming.

          • No I’m not God.

But I am asking simple enough questions to answer that have been repeatedly ignored on this website. It appears that the lawsuit simply named everyone who was more than superficially involved in NXIVM, effectively throwing them all under the bus without regards to gradations in involvement in only the POSSIBILITY of such activities. As “Named vs Also Named” quoted above, the lawsuit clearly even states this and I know this has already been pointed out in the comments section of this website because I read it elsewhere. This is effectively a guilt by association fallacy. Asserting they are guilty of such wrongdoing without any evidence because they haven’t been proven innocent – in the USA we are all innocent until proven guilty – is also an argument from ignorance and another logical fallacy. It’s also difficult to believe that not naming Sarah Edmondson who ran the Vancouver center fell under “jurisdictional issues and/or because the U.S. Marshals couldn’t serve them” yet fellow Vancouverite Kristin Kreuk who was even less involved and whose primary income was generated from her career and not NXIVM didn’t.

How many times are you going to repeat this sames shtick under a multitude of different aliases? Go away you jilted loser.

      – They are the reason the cult survived and thrived for so long.

No they aren’t. The reason it survived so long is because of the cult’s deep pockets financed by two mega millionaire heiresses and its ability to ingratiate itself with and/or effectively buy off local authorities. Two inconsequential celebrities had absolutely nothing to do with its staying power.

      • While I agree with most of what you said, the actresses did play a role in keeping NXIVM attracting more people, although many other factors also contributed, including the reasons you stated. But there’s nothing quite like a bit of celebrity PR, just ask Scientology and their lineup of celebrities: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology_and_celebrities Amway has done the same: https://www.amwaywiki.com/Endorsements and the same with Herbalife: http://company.herbalife.com/sponsorships/ and many other MLM scams do the same. Notice how ALL of the above are MLM scams?

      • You are that loser who was arguing with “FormerNxian”, a former member of the cult, who you think you know more than.

“How many times are you going to repeat this sames shtick under a multitude of different aliases? Go away you jilted loser.”

        1) Multiple people have been calling out the subject of your sad infatuation dickhead. We are not all the same people.
        2) I have no alias.
        3) “Jiltered”? Believe it or not cunt, not everyone has an obsession with celebrities. Most people are here because of the NXIVM story.

      • Let’s say they were able to feed off of each other, pretty young(at the start) actresses to lure young females with their phony girls by design and other phony BS girls groups, but without Bronfman money it wouldn’t have worked. The witches needed each other. I still say BAN KRISTEN KRUEK- because I can , because there are much better role models out there for young people.GIRLS BY DESIGN Was it really in THAILAND? KRISTEN you were trolling for children for your poedofile lover. Your staying off my T.V.

        • Heather, I’m sure KK will come begging on her knees to you for not watching her on your TV any longer. You are so “brave.”

Also, the word is “You’re, not “Your.” I’ll use both words properly in a single sentence: Keeping KK off of your TV doesn’t mean you’re doing anything with any measurable consequence. Get it?

  • Really great points Joseph! Very astute observations.

We’re all working together to shut down NXIVM forever. More to come SOON!
