Susan Dones Powerful Message to Clare Bronfman in Court

Susan Dones talks to the media after the sentencing of Clare Webb Bronfman on Sept. 30, 2020. Dones spoke at the sentencing hearing as one of Bronfman's victims.

Susan Dones spoke at the sentencing hearing of Clare Bronfman yesterday. She was one of Clare’s many victims and one of nine who spoke either in person or by video. Susan flew from Washington to attend the hearing in person.

She was one of nine women who left Nxivm in April 2009, known as the Nxivm 9 and, consequently, suffered the wrath of Keith Alan Raniere and his financier, Clare Bronfman.  They went after her legally, using Bronfman’s tremendous wealth, and, according to inside Nxivm sources, Raniere tried to have her and several other women deemed enemies of Raniere lured to Mexico, where they were to be arrested on false extortion charges.

She had been running a center in Seattle Washington. When she left Nxivm, Raniere refused to pay her the commissions which were due.  He also wanted to absorb her business without compensating her. Having lost all her money, she filed for bankruptcy. Her case is very inspirational. While she was up against a battery of Bronfman-paid attorneys, Dones represented herself and won an impressive victory, often embarrassing the attorneys and the Nxivm witnesses, including Clare Bronfman.

It was a David and Goliath story. Dones was successful at showing the judge that Nxivm did not have a substantive reason to interpose in her bankruptcy but were simply harassing her with vexatious litigation meant to destroy her.

As for the Mexican plot, Raniere, in combination with several others, hatched a plot to lure Toni Natalie, Barbara Bouchey, Susan Dones and her partner, Kim, to Mexico. A Mexican journalist who was close to Emiliano Salinas invited them to an anti-cult symposium. Once they went there, the plan was to utilize Salinas’ corrupt connections and have them arrested. Once in prison, they were supposed to be abused, according to Kristin Keeffe, who informed Bouchey about the plan when she left Nxivm.

Fortunately, the plan never came off since all three women smelled something fishy and declined to go to Mexico.

In any event, here is Susan’s message, the message of not only of a victim but also of a survivor.

Susan Dones Statement to Clare Bronfman at Her Sentencing Hearing

Susan Dones

Ms. Bronfman, I read your recent letter to the Judge where you explain how you were ashamed of your wealth and wanted to be accepted by others.  How NXIVM gave you a sense of belonging and overcoming your pattern of self-loathing, insecurities, and fears. A place you felt the most passionate about, fulfilled by, and deeply care about.

Did you ever consider they were just after your money? What would happen if you just stopped giving them money? Where would you stand in your importance to them?

You talk about

  • the last two years have been immensely painful
  • how many people’s lives have been upended
  • a community where many of you thrived, felt purposeful
  • enjoyed your lives
  • then it fell apart
  • how it caused tremendous pain for many people and their families.

You state in these last two years [under home confinement] you spent your time reflecting on how all of this happened

  • where you participated, and why.
  • how you tried to understand your bad choices
  • overcome the struggles driving you to choose them.

Then you mention you read each of the victim statements relating to you.

You became aware of many of your blind spots but don’t mention what they are. That’s interesting. We are still blind to your insight as you don’t mention any of them.

Reading these letters, some from people you say you still care deeply about – other you must not care about.

Is one of them me? You say it has been immensely painful and helpful to understand how your actions are perceived and how people experienced you and felt affected by you.

In my opinion, these are just empty words and mean nothing to your victims.

Why should any of us care how our  letters impacted your awareness? How selfish of you to think only of yourself.

If you cared about your impact, you find a way to heal the wounds you have created with every one of your victims.

You wouldn’t leave it up just to the court to decide who gets what.

Ms. Brofman this is your soul, your karma, or if you want a NXIVM term, an “ethical breach” you have with each victim.

If you don’t deal with it now, you will when you met your maker.

You say you believe you stand here a better person, a person with a deeper understanding of humanity, of the differences between people, and the gravity of how you affect others.

Well, Bravo for Ms. Bronfman. Good for you that you stand here a better person with a deeper understanding of yourself. Once again this all about you.

Again what a selfish thing to say. You’re a perpetrator. This wasn’t some life skills class you went through the last two years. You broke the law and that has legal ramifications.

If that was true, that you did a TRUE deep dive into your behavior, You should be feeling shame, self-loathing, insecure, and fearful of what your actions did to others [and] what that behavior will bring you at the end of this sentencing hearing today. Not trying to sell us on “I’m now a better person.”

Have you ever considered the pain you caused those you went after legally for your Master Keith Raniere? Upended their lives? How their lives fell apart when you went after them? The pain you caused them and their families?

Or did you leave that out in your self-reflection and just consider yourself and your [Nxivm] community?

What you should have explored and understood are the lives you destroyed with your wealth.

Anyone who told the truth about NXIVM, Keith Raniere, and Nancy Salzman and what might unravel NXIVM – you willingly opened your checkbook and spent millions to destroy them.

All without giving a thought of “what if it’s true?” To this day I don’t think you consider “What if they know the truth and I’m helping my Master hide it?”

If you understood how evil he is you could not stand by Keith Raniere or what was Nxivm unless you are just as evil.

Not me. I was one of those people who stood up, told the truth about the criminal organization.

How do I know it was the truth? Nancy Salzman spilled the beans to me.

It was you, Clare Bronfman, who came after me at the orders of a man to this day you refuse to denounce: Keith Raniere. And an organization you refuse to denounce that covers up destructions like lipstick on the pig you call humanity.

I remember, after myself and eight others left [Nxivm], you and the other leaders made it impossible for us to have a relationship with our friends.

Remember that Ms. Bronfman – it was called shunning.

When I resigned I asked for my commissions owed and the value of my [Nxivm] business that would continue in the Pacific Northwest. I was called an extortionist and got a letter delivered to me while I was still in Albany NY.

I had to hire an attorney and call my sister to let her know I might need bail money. I asked her to not let our sick mother know because she didn’t need the worry.

After meeting with the attorney I found out that asking for money I believed was owed was not extortion and no charges were ever filed.

Upon closing my center [in Washington State], I was warned by others that NXIVM was going to sue me. It was bad enough I had to file for bankruptcy due to the cost of opening a NXIVM center, but for NXIVM to enter into my bankruptcy with another 230 claims against me, knowing I couldn’t afford a lawyer was worse.

You paid for seven lawyers and over $500,000 to sue me. NXIVM knew full well a center was going to open in Vancouver BC that I had been working for almost a decade to help build and they would profit off the efforts of my labor for years to come.

You also testified at my [bankruptcy] trial telling one lie after another and had no evidence against me other than I had shown a portion of a video I owned. I lost two years of my life over that case.

Learning how to be the best lawyer I could be to defend myself and my partner. I couldn’t even look for full-time employment from the time I left NXIVM until I was sure you, as the head of legal, were not going to appeal the judge’s 29-page decision against you and NXIVM ruling in our favor in your terrorism by ligation.

It didn’t end there. I also had charges brought against me in Mexico that you were responsible for.

These so-called friends of yours, the top tier have all pleaded guilty to criminal charges. I’m not sure how you were raised, but I was always taught you can tell a person by the company they keep.

I hope the judge considers this when he decides your sentencings. Maybe some good, tough prison time will do you some good –time to reflect on why you would never want to go back to prison and you can make a better decision on who can be good friends to hang out with. In my opinion.

To this day I suffer from PTSD, anxiety and I will never recover from the loss of my investment into NXIVM or the time loss of the years I spent building a center. It hurt my credit score and I was unable to look for gainful employment for two years. We also lost the building we bought to house the center in.

Through my 11 years of therapy, I have learned that anger is poison. I’m not angry with you Ms. Bronfman. I pray every day for you. I pray that you will find the real Clare Bronfman. I pray that you will de-claw yourself from Keith Raniere.

He is killing you and only interested in your money and social status. If you stop paying his way, you will see how important you are to him

Though we all go through tough times in life, it is almost impossible to take in what Susan Dones has more than survived but also determinedly outlasted. All of the best wishes for her. She has evinced not only the courage to seek truth but the truthfulness to keep finding courage.

Way to go, Susan! Wish Kris had been here to see and hear this. Keith is next to be sent upstream without a paddle. I am proud that you stood up for what was right. This was a day to celebrate – and the 27th of October will be too.

I think we will all be glad when these criminals will be put away and never walk the face of the earth ever again.

Kris will be able to rest in God’s arms – knowing that Keith, the monster, is finally going where he rightfully belongs – away – for the rest of his life – plus some – he will finally feel what she went through the whole time she was in NXIVM.

Our words have been sent to the people who need to hear and read them, and I look forward to the 27th of this month – to have the last word to Keith, the monster – instead of him having his. Amen and hallelujah

When will the others (Salinas, Sara Bronfman are only 2) be indicted? It does not seem right that only 6 people were indicted and will be sentenced when so many others took part!

I’m not talking about the 15,000+ people that simply took courses and left to continue their lives. It’s really about everyone that ran the group and knew what was going on. Since the Forbes article in 2003, the Nxivm 9 in 2009, the Time Union expose by James Odado in 2012 and constant litigation against dissidents throughout this whole time period, there have been enough ways for people to know and question the Nxivm.

Many defected after the 2012 Times Union expose. Kristin Kreuk who helped build the cult up and fight off cult and criminal proof [with her name on so much too] was able to stop coaching [allegedly] in 2013 due to television commitments in Toronto, to simply be a student up until 2016 or later without getting sued. These people, like Kreuk, chose to stay on because they wanted to.

“simply be a student up until 2016”

Please tell us how many classes and EMs Kristin participated in. There must be loads of incriminating evidence for this like financials, course paperwork, the word and names of those who provided the EMs, etc. Yet, somehow it’s never provided and always missing.

Frank Parlato, who was told this information from high ranking NXIVM members already told you that he will keep his sources anonymous. He knows who Kreuk’s coach was and knows for a fact she was still a student in 2016. This information should not affect your life in a negative way, nor should it affect your battling the purple-headed yogurt slinger habit. Run along now.

Anonymous sources have no potency. They may be telling the truth or they may be lying through their teeth for impure and underhanded reasons. They have no relevance until what they say can be independently verified. Thus the call for tangible, hard evidence which should be easily provided. That’s all that is being asked for. Frank’s reporting was only as good as the claims of his sources like Mark Vicente and Sarah Edmondson became publicly verified with such proof. Otherwise, it’s just as good as tabloid fodder. As others have noticed as well, e.g., Susan Donnes, many comments by particular commenters that have been posted over the years reflect an underlying “ax to grind” nature to them in their spite towards former members, particularly whistle blowers. It took Frank over two years to finally publicly “go to bat” (unlike in the case of the two proctors which he has merely reported and the three high ranking members who contradict them) in the comment’s section that Mark Vicente’s mother had no knowledge about illegal money laundering activities, and yet others kept repeating this idea (you probably as well) as if it was fact over and over again. Until these conditions are met, your constant rehashing of this particular claim as if it is true doesn’t give it anymore factual power.

Lol, it [redacted] that you didn’t “save” Kreuk from nxivm. You did try though by going to Albany and contacting her dad.

Those two proctors did not contradict the previous three. They said the same basic things and added new information. [redacted] Don’t try and flip that round. [redacted] If Frank Parlato has been told he knows who Kreuk’s 2016 coach was, he does not need to prove it to you. [redacted].

I’m afraid I have no idea what you’re talking about. The last time I was in New York was in 2007 and that was in New York City. I was also there I believe prior to that in 2004. I have never been anywhere near Albany. Also, I have never talked with Kristin’s father so I don’t know where that came from.

“Oh, thanks for confirming you wrote that previous comment”

The Susan Donnes comment? Ok. Sure. I’m Susan Donnes.

“Those two proctors did not contradict the previous three.”

I went back and checked the articles again (I did it two weeks ago as well) and yes they do contradict each other. The first article states all three said “she left [NXIVM] in 2013” and that she left because she thought the 2012 James Odato TU story might hurt her career. None of them said or even implied that she stayed on in any capacity whatsoever and that includes just leaving coaching to stay as some type of member. The word “coach” wasn’t even mentioned in the context of their affirmation that she left. The other article states that two proctors said she stopped coaching in 2013 but didn’t leave until 2015 or early 2016. Those two pieces of information clearly contradict each other. There is absolutely no reason to think that the first three simply forgot that she was still in NXIVM, or that when they said she left NXIVM that they only meant that she left coaching but was still a member.

“The first article states all three said “she left [NXIVM] in 2013” and that she left because she thought the 2012 James Odato TU story might hurt her career”

Wrong. The first article did not say that. It said:

“I remember Nancy Salzman telling some of us privately that Kristin left because she was worried that the stories about Keith and underage girls might harm her career.”

That is what Nancy Salzman thought. In the next article, it said:

“When Kreuk told fellow Nxivm colleagues she was going to be inactive [as a coach] she did not have anything critical to say about Nxivm. Despite this, Salzman reportedly believed Kreuk was opting out of her public role in Nxivm because of bad press Nxivm leader Keith Alan Raniere was getting..”

Keyword: Believed.

https://frankreport.com/2019/07/15/kristin-kreuk-was-member-of-nxivm-in-2015-2016/

Nancy Salzman made an assumption.

————————————————————–

“None of them said or even implied that she stayed on in any capacity whatsoever and that includes just leaving coaching to stay as some type of member”.

Well… actually….:

“I interviewed two former Nxivm proctors recently who said that Kristin Kreuk stopped actively working as a coach for Nxivm in 2013. This is in addition to three other Nxivm insiders I spoke with previously who said the same thing.

However, the proctors added new information about the secretive Kreuk.

They said that while she stopped coaching in 2013, even sending a letter notifying Nancy Salzman that she was unable to volunteer time to coach because of career commitments, Kreuk did not leave Nxivm altogether until late 2015 or early 2016.

She became inactive as a coach in 2013 due to acting obligations and her breakup with another Nxivm leader, actor Mark Hildreth, the proctors said. But, they insist that Kreuk remained a member of Nxivm until years later.

When Kreuk told fellow Nxivm colleagues she was going to be inactive [as a coach] she did not have anything critical to say about Nxivm. Despite this, Salzman reportedly believed Kreuk was opting out of her public role in Nxivm because of bad press Nxivm leader Keith Alan Raniere was getting.

[He had been revealed as a pedophile in a Feb. 2012 Albany Times Union expose Kruek was mentioned in an article in the series. She was also named as a likely defendant in a lawsuit against NXIVM. She was also named in John Tighe’s articles of the Necker Island summit that discussed NXIVM crimes and who was responsible.]

However, Kreuk reportedly derived benefits from Nxivm [including exploration of meaning or EM therapy and support] until late 2015, and possibly into 2016, according to the two Nxivm proctors I spoke with. This might account for Kreuk encouraging Mark Busse and possibly others to take Nxivm intensives in May 2015”.

—————————————-

“The word “coach” wasn’t even mentioned in the context of their affirmation that she left”.

Well…..:

“When Kreuk told fellow Nxivm colleagues she was going to be inactive [as a coach] she did not have anything critical to say about Nxivm”.

———————————————————–

“The other article states that two proctors said she stopped coaching in 2013 but didn’t leave until 2015 or early 2016. Those two pieces of information clearly contradict each other”

LOL. No they do not. “I interviewed two former Nxivm proctors recently who said that Kristin Kreuk stopped actively working as a coach for Nxivm in 2013. This is in addition to three other Nxivm insiders I spoke with previously who said the same thing. However, the proctors added new information about the secretive Kreuk”.

They all said she stopped coaching. The last two added on she carried on as a student.

—————————————————————–

“There is absolutely no reason to think that the first three simply forgot that she was still in NXIVM, or that when they said she left NXIVM that they only meant that she left coaching but was still a member”.

Nobody said they forgot. You don’t know if they deliberately held back information or not. At least one of them was Albany based.

“I would think she paid monthly membership fees. This came up with Grace Park as well. She told me she quit Nxivm but she was still paying monthly dues in 2017 after she said she quit.

I think Kristin was still paying monthly dues at least up until 2016 and she still had a coach in 2016.

I suspect she was a Nxivm member until maybe as late as 2017, insofar as she availed herself of certain Nxivm activities, even if she was in Canada and not often in Albany”.

Peeping Sultan and all her/his aliases should read or watch Les Misérables because she/he is like the tragically misguided Inspector Javert whose rigid moral code makes him obsessively pursue Valjean for years for the crime of stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family.

Spoiler alert: It does not end happily for Javert.

I find it amazing that whoever these unknown commenters are going on and about, who left when, who did what to this day a bit pathetic.
Had the DOJ found any evidence of any serious wrongdoing, by all these names you are throwing around, they surely would have been arrested.
There are some who worked full-time and IMO were bottom feeders in the NXIVM criminal enterprise that didn’t get arrested.
Who left when is just your need to know something for some reason that isn’t going to be pinned down for you and in the long run proves WHAT?
Did I have an ax to grind? Hell ya, I wanted my life back. I wanted those who were torturing my life to stop and if it meant I had to throw everyone I suspected of crimes under the bus, so sad too bad.
Myself and others no longer have to live in fear daily. Something you will know nothing about. How do I know this? Because you’re too fascinated and self-indulgent who left which tells me you live a pretty comfortable life.

At some point, you’re going to have to grow up and take down your pin-up posters of her, give up your obsession and move on with your life.
Its water under the bridge, in the grand scheme of life, who really cares at this point but the two of you duking it out still.
So boring, let us have our celebration.
Unless, once again, you’re two Believers who just want to be a disruption.
If that’s the case, it’s sad you don’t have a real life and you still follow the short smelly criminal who is never going to see the outside of prison.
What a horrible waste of your lives, but hey to this day, Manson still has his followers.

[quote][/quote] will be used to refer to article content.

“Wrong. The first article did not say that.”

Yes, it did. Here is the link: https://artvoice.com/2019/04/22/three-former-high-rank-kristin-kreuk-left-nxivm-in-2013/

[quote]Canadian actress Kristin Kreuk left Nxivm in 2013 — at least that’s what three former High-ranking members of Nxivm told me.[/quote]

[quote]Each spoke independently. Each had the same opinion: Kreuk left in 2013.[/quote]

In a quote of one of the three high-ranking members where the story is related of what Salzman said about Kristin’s departure, the phrase used is “she quit”.

Like I emphasized previously, there is nothing in the article that states or implies that Kristin stayed with NXIVM in any form or capacity whatsoever, coach, or otherwise. In fact, the opposite is implied in additional content from the article:

[quote]Too busy, she said, to continue participating in Nxivm.[/quote]

[quote]Her email made it official: She hoped this would discourage others in Nxivm to use her name as an active member.[/quote]

You can’t quit as a coach but remain on as an active member and not continue to participate in NXIVM as these two states are mutually exclusive. It was only in the article(s) that came later in which two proctors said she just quit coaching but stayed on as an active member. The two sets of anonymous sources contradict each other because the three high ranking members in the first article never said or implied such.

“Nobody said they forgot. You don’t know if they deliberately held back information or not. At least one of them was Albany based.”

They could’ve deliberately held back information as much as the two proctors could have lied. The unknown possibilities of motivation for why they said what they did could be numerous for both sets of anonymous sources. But that was never the point of contention if you actually paid attention to the stream of thought that is glaringly apparent in what I have already written concerning this issue. It was to show that there are two sets of contradictory anonymous sources, and one can choose to believe either one. That one came after the other doesn’t give the former more validity, nor does it incontrovertibly prove that Kristin lied that she left in 2013 because she actually left in 2016 as you repeat over and over again.

[quote]This came up with Grace Park as well. She told me she quit Nxivm but she was still paying monthly dues in 2017 after she said she quit.[/quote]

Grace’s situation is different from Kristin’s since no article ever stated or implied that she left earlier than 2017. In fact, it was stated that Grace was still in NXIVM until the public revelation of DOS on The Frank Report in 2017. Grace also did a video with the Vanguard in his “Keith Raniere Conversations” series which were posted on the YouTube in 2017, but Kristin never did.

[quote]I think Kristin was still paying monthly dues at least up until 2016 and she still had a coach in 2016.[/quote]

This is the kind of tangible, hard evidence I mentioned earlier (along with on the record sources, photographs, videos, etc.). If it exists, then it should be obtainable and presentable.

For fucks sake, Hasif. You are fucking impossible. Literally, the facts are presented to you and you just refuse to accept what you don’t like. I didn’t even read a quarter of your garbage as you just talk BS. I just stopped. Literally, you just make things up, ignore things you don’t like, and then project on to others. You will likely do it right now.

“You can’t quit as a coach but remain on as an active member and not continue to participate in NXIVM as these two states are mutually exclusive”.

Yes, you can, you chicken choker. Thousands of people took courses without becoming coaches. Only a tiny handful became coaches. The stripped path was the striped path. They were student-coaches. Some were just students. Not all coaches were proctors. People spent years in Nxivm doing courses without becoming coaches. Sometimes, they were rewarded with courses for recruiting others. Come on moron, give us all your Aspergers long-ass novel about how that is wrong, like you know.

How was Florida btw?

This creep, Sultan Of Six, has been doing this for more than fifteen years. He used to bombard John Tighe’s old blog, Saratoga In Decline, pissing everyone off, including John Tighe. You spoke to the press claiming Kreuk left shortly after you did in 2009. You either lied, or were lied to. Either way, she did not care one bit about your plight.

She helped build up the cult of NXIVM, but at no point did she use her fame to draw attention to the branding, even when asked to, letting other people do the work and preserving her privilege. Calling out Nxivm members who have slipped thru does not make someone a believer in your old cult. Btw none of these Nxivm people hailed as heroes gave a shit about your plight either.

“Inspector Javert whose rigid moral code makes him obsessively pursue Valjean for years for the crime of stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family.”

Well that’s a terrible analogy since Sultan seemed to defend Kristin from others who perpetually raised claims of unethical and illegal activities on her end when she was a part of NXIVM, whereas there is at least one or more posters who are constantly broaching Kristin’s name and harping on her knowing more than she has said about NXIVM’S illegal activities or unethical behavior, or lying about when she left, with a kind of lynch mob mentality to besmirch her character. Such a description of Javert’s character seems to apply more aptly to people like you. After all, Javert is the one vehemently pursuing another to punish him for stealing something out of life-bearing necessity for himself and his family (which is a social commentary against literal implementation of the law and a criticism against a society that allows some of its citizens to starve when there is plenty of food available), similar to how others who are vehemently pursuing Kristin to “punish” her for crimes or behavior there is no evidence that she ever committed.

“Thousands of people took courses without becoming coaches. Only a tiny handful became coaches…”

Whoosh.

That was the sound of the point flying over your head. That some people took minimal courses, some became various colored sash coaches, proctors, etc., is obvious and was never in dispute. As such, it doesn’t address nor counter the point that was quoted.

You can’t leave (“she left”, “she quit”, ‘she no longer wanted to be seen as an active member’) and continue on in organization to be a part of it in any capacity whatsoever: member, coach, proctor, or otherwise. Such a state is a contradiction.

People had various levels of activity within NXIVM. [Kristin Kreuk] went from student-coach to student. For some bizarre reason, this causes you such pain…

Have there been any reports on how Clare is enjoying the hospitality at MDC? I understand that brunch is still outstanding, but not the same since Chef Pierre left.

Where was Dones’ and the rest of the NXIVM 9’s website 11 years ago? LOL

Proving Raniere right, they had to wait for a man, Frank, to come along and do the dirty work of exposing Raniere to the world. LOL

“keep in mind – there was no DOS at the time”.

And this is the point, Frank! Nxivm was evil long before 2015 and DOS. With each expose, these people ignored more and more. Now, these people pretend it’s all about DOS and everything before DOS was not their fault, they didn’t know anything, they were victims… blah blah blah. It was your website they turned to. Perhaps if they didn’t fuck with John Tighe, they would have gone to him.

What don’t you get about compartmentalization and NXIVM telling its followers to ignore the media?

What also don’t you get about the fact that the NDNY did nothing and stuck their head in the sand because they were “bought off” or for whatever reason for well over a decade?

Not only that, oftentimes NXIVM enemies like O’Hara and Tighe actually looked like they “lost”: e.g., they were thrown in jail so NXIVM higher-ups could point to their followers and say “look, we told you they were unethical” or whatever to enhance their validation.

Then there were other forms of validation like the Dalai Lama. You try to make it seem like all NXIVM people knew about all the dirty things, but they didn’t.

It was a relatively small group within it that did unethical and illegal things and they used many others within it as a buffer for credibility which they controlled through thought reform techniques and other coercive control techniques in the name of ethics. It was only until Raniere lost Pam and had a massive brain fart to do DOS and got really careless, that the covers were blown off.

Bad press in the media ignored or maybe sometimes read but juxtaposed against a group of (mostly) respectable people who were close co-workers or friends that had good relationships padded with a somewhat respectable self-help exterior also let the inner circle of dirty get away with things for far too long.

Spanky, you only wrote that long essay to indirectly defend the one Nxivm member you think of when doing the five finger shuffle. And get your ass off twitter. You are an embarrassment.

There was so much out there, nxivm could not hide it all. They could only deny and the followers would either leave, or not leave. Many left after the Times Union expose as has been pointed out numerous times, including by nxivm people. Many people had their names attached to bad things. Some, *some* (teehee!) used their names to fight off negative press. Hard to fight off negative press you don’t even know about. And you don’t know who read the bad press and who didn’t. And guess what! If you are in the public eye and your name gets attached to PEDOPHILIA, you bet your camel that your management and PR people knows about it. Teehee!

Why don’t you go ask NXIVM members about it? Many of them are easy to contact via social media. Or maybe, the owner of this website. Of course, you already know the answers, but you just… just… just, can’t help yourself…

Dear I’m afraid to tell you who I am,

Susan Dones here and some of us from the NX9 were never quite hidden from the public eye, media or stopped going to the authorities.

Nor did we stop throwing lifelines to those left inside.

I have told my story not only on this blog more than once but another Anti-NXIVM blog that is no longer in publication at this time.

Several of us talked to NY State authorities including the Attorney General about crimes we knew about such as tax evasion, cash coming across the border from Mexico (in the millions), money laundering, all told to me by Nancy Salzman.

Also, the fact that Keith Raniere was running an MLM-like business even though he had been permanently banned from doing so in the state of NY.

We have done TV, and magazines and newspaper interviews over the years.

At the time, we were sadly told by these authorities “they had bigger fish to fry”

We did this all at the risk of continuing harassment from the NXIVM Cartel.

So you can sit safely in your home in your nice warm slippers and be a no-name armchair nobody with flipping attitude but your mockery is like a to-go knife in comparison to what we have had to deal with.

Run along now and go find someone who you can bullshit and bully with your crackerjack certification of harassment. They are really such empty pathetic words.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d almost believe you were still in what was known as NXIVM, what we call “The Believers”, taking out your anger that your Clare Bear was hauled off to jail yesterday.

Not sure who you are responding to. I posted as “Anonymous October 1, 2020 at 2:18 pm”.

Anonymous October 1, 2020 at 12:32 pm is another poster.

Just to clarify, I was not attacking you. The comment was aimed at those who ignored your situation and what came out years later, who are now claiming victim status and all the “glory” and sympathies.

Are you now “clear” of any attacks from nxivm?

This right here.

Susan Dones, who ran a Seattle center was told directly by Nancy Salzman about the above crimes. Dones did the correct thing and left, presumably informing others.

Sarah Edmondson took advantage of this. At the time, the Vancouver nxivm idiots were going to Susan’s center to do nxivm shit. Kristin Kreuk would drive four hours from Vancouver to go there. Sarah started the Vancouver branch and the Canadian idiots had their own center to go drink kool-aid. Sarah filled the void. Mark Vicente ran a center(s) of his own. These two were very loyal to Queef. Like fuck they didn’t know about the crimes Susan spoke of above. The point is, these people did not only find out nxivm was a criminal enterprise after getting branded above the cooter. They knew and ignored it all. They also did not give a rat’s pube about what Susan Dones was facing.

Interesting…her reference about Nancy Salzman:
“If you understood how evil he is you could not stand by Keith Raniere or what was Nxivm unless you are just as evil.
Not me. I was one of those people who stood up, told the truth about the criminal organization.
How do I know it was the truth? Nancy Salzman spilled the beans to me.”

Awe, look another ‘I’m fearful to leave my name.’ I can’t help but think that these people who take time to mock are those who are still drinking from the punch bowl of Raniere’s Kool-Aid and are embedded with his claws.

In Clare Bear’s sentencing, it was not the appropriate place to bring up the list of crimes the NXIVM Cartel was up to at the time.

Was I angry Keith Rainier was F***ing a group of women? Really… Had it not been the main ‘control you’ to this day you, Believer, cannot fully understand with all the women because you fully, willing enjoy having sex and don’t mind sharing your man. It’s not up to me to judge that kind of relationship.

It was not so with every woman. If your still drunk on his hero worship, you do not have the independent brain capacity to understand his and his pack of wolves’, which you might be a member of, ability to bend people’s minds into ‘having sex is good for them’ when its not really what they want or is illegal within the USA. Hence it is a legal issue which landed him in prison today and most likely for the rest of what he has left of his life.

The criminal enterprise Nancy Salzman told me about is written about above, so I won’t repeat it.

Now run off, get rested up for your dancing in front of the MDC. You have twice the dancing to do now. Rainiere and Clare Bronfman knowing you are there for them, I’m sure, will be a comfort to them.

A leader of a company having sex with many subordinates? A leader of what is essentially a faith group, having sex with multiple congregants. I bet there’s someone on this thread that can cite the NY laws violated. The ethics of that, that’s just readily apparent if you’re mildly observant.

Susan, I’m just learning about NXIVM after watching “The Vow” and have been reading through all the court filings on PACER. After the comments by Anonymous, I felt the need to state that your victim impact statement to Clare was stellar. Absolutely brilliant. What you endured was an abuse few could handle, and you lived it while having to learn the legal system at the same time. I know how hard learning the latter is, and I can’t imagine doing it with a gun to my head. You are a force to be reckoned with and I applaud you. I’m glad you and your partner (wife) are through with that awful chapter and I wish you both all the happiness and love possible.

And I love that you articulated what a true shit Clare is. It’s impossible to try to negotiate with someone whose EQ is that of a 5-year-old and you not only did just that, but your impact statement called out her immature narcissism. Her money could have done so much good, but she chose to intimidate, file 230 bogus claims (!!), and worship a short, smelly, greasy, non-bathing psychopath. Thank you for pointing out all the reflection she did NOT do. It was fist-pump-hell-yeah-you-go-girl-high-five-smack-down. You should be an attorney and represent victims that don’t have the strength and intelligence to do what you did.

So NXIVM members knew Susan Dones was getting lawsuit raped with Bronfman cash and didn’t mind. That was eight years before the branding story.

—-

“She was one of nine women who left Nxivm in April 2009, known as the Nxivm 9 and consequently suffered the wrath of Keith Alan Raniere and his financier Clare Bronfman. They went after her legally, using Bronfman’s tremendous wealth, and, according to inside Nxivm sources, Raniere tried to have her and several other women deemed enemies of Raniere lured to Mexico, then arrested on false extortion charges.”

Who are these “inside sources”? They obviously knew of this plan. Did they defect? Did they agree with it? What was their excuse?

——-

“She had been running a center in Seattle Washington”.

Kristin Kreuk coached at Susan Dones’s NXIVM center. She used to drive there every Saturday. She even posted a picture of her and Kendra Voth (whom she recruited into NXIVM) to their Girls By Design Facebook page, captioned with something like “working in Seattle”.

—-

“As for the Mexican plot, Raniere, in combination with several others, hatched a plot to lure Toni Natalie, Barbara Bouchey and Susan Dones and her partner Kim to Mexico. A Mexican journalist who was close to Emiliano Salinas invited them to an anti-cult symposium. Once they went there, the plan was to utilize Salinas’ corrupt connections and have them arrested. Once in prison they were supposed to be abused, according to Kristin Keeffe, who informed Bouchey about the plan when she left Nxivm.”

This information was out years ago. Which NXIVM members chose to ignore it? Or even agreed with it? Also, why has Emiliano Salinas not been arrested? He is a horrible cunt. And by the way, he has a private Instagram page and is following Sarah Edmondson, even “liking” one of her more recent posts. Thoughts?

Yeah, it stands out. Each lawsuit is its own horror show, the level of vindictiveness is chilling and at times it’s hard to grasp the enormity. Susan is truly an inspiration in her tenacity and ability to fend them off. It took a village to pull it off and they’re all tight-lipped about their roles and what they saw and heard. If you line up the two camps, the before and after timelines, it’s unfathomable that they wouldn’t know. One would assume a search engine was used, and that they at least had a mild curiosity in the company they had given their lives to.

Sarah said she didn’t believe them (Nxivm 9). If she did believe them, how could she ethically take what Susan had already built? It was an opportunity for her. She invested in the Vancouver location without investigating what happened to a newly closed nearby center, and decided she was going to do it better. Sarah has stated she was rebellious and didn’t do all the things that Keith told her to do. So far, that list has included her discipline, I haven’t read yet how she went against Keith for the benefit of someone else.

Mark was a board member, had two centers, founder of SOP, and had a few “companies”. We don’t hear much about what Mark was doing all this time. Oh right, filming EVERYTHING. I’ve read nothing on what was going through his mind while he was engaged in evidence tampering, tax evasion, or money laundering. It’s possible his interests in the Vancouver location may have hindered his curiosity.

Salinas is being protected, and he’ll probably never see justice. Between the LeBaron trafficking/murders and the video snuff materials used in the “Fright Study”, I think the Mexico story will be much worse, and I fear for those not at the top of the pyramid. With key players walking free, I doubt anyone will speak. They might end up in the next snuff film.

Very thoughtful post highlighting a key question: how did all this occur with central people not doing more about it?

I sense it was a perfect storm of:
naivete and fear of questioning Rainiere’s motives and actions,
the personal financial gain of being a coach/proctor/center owner,
Bronfman funding legal vindictiveness against dissidents,
a fear of being shunned by the community
and inept or corrupt law enforcement.

The central people supported and enabled Raniere. LOL

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
