Not to worry. Rikers is a New York City facility, not a federal one. So, there is zero chance that Raniere will serve his term there.
Many consider the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) – which is where Raniere has been for the past 2+ years – to be just as bad as Rikers. Never getting outside, non-functioning heating and air conditioning systems, vermin-laced food, no educational programs, a third-rate health center – those are just some of the fun things that Raniere will continue to experience as long as he’s at MDC.
And BTW, New York City is in the process of closing down Rikers.

The food at MDC is not ‘vermin-laced’ as you claim.
Just because a few people have occasionally had bad food there, that doesn’t make every meal inedible and/or disease-causing.

Now that’s a far worse prison than MDC.
Yet you pretend as though MDC is among the worst prisons in the world ——- when the truth is that it’s not even close to being among the worst prisons in the world.

The high powered lawyers did not pay off for Allison Mack because she probably disregarded the advice of her lawyers and tried to enforce her own strategy. You can already see that from the fact that Frank Parlato and Catherine Oxenberg tried to dissuade Allison Mack from her wrong way. With the success we now know… …and which will be clearly visible in the announcement of the sentencing. Allison Mack is fully responsible for her own path to ruin and could not be dissuaded from it by others. Why should one shed more tears for this adult woman than herself, who perhaps feels more self-pity for herself than she was concerned about her victims? Allison Mack has only herself to blame for not getting out of her situation in time, and now there is no longer any reason for anyone to feel sorry for her.

Unless Lauren and Allison were and still are robots, it is not as if they were merely, accidentally, rabidly vapid, solely in the name of Keith Raniere. Come on, there is mutual responsibility. If you think that, perhaps look deeper, not as a counterproductive blame game, but to see what is realistic and what is not. That is what he said, but it has no meaning and is irrelevant insofar as this coercion and command was given through the slave masters of the respective sex slaves. And these, in turn, received their instructions from Raniere, who was kept secret from the sex slaves.
