While I think it is true that police reform is required, I do not think that abolishing the police, or taking a lot of their budget [defunding] and giving it to far-leftist political groups is wise. If you are going to defund, why not give it back to the taxpayers?
Reform is needed, however. Like taking away riot gear and military props and changing the rules on the use of deadly force. And the return to the friendly policeman, the peace officer, the protector of our neighborhoods, to the extent that this is possible.
And the use of common sense. Everyone does not need to be arrested, all the time. Just to fill up prisons.
It is also necessary to reform prosecutors who work hand-in-glove with the incarceration nation approach to law enforcement.
I would certainly consent to defunding prosecutors. And taking away their immunity. Maybe they should wear body cams too.
In any event, as the article suggests, the anti-police factions – those who want to invest in the destabilization of America – seem to have been waiting for the next George Floyd to happen before it happened. They knew it would happen. And they sprung into action with breakneck speed when George Floyd was murdered. So how can we avoid any more George Floyd events without turning the nation over to communist far-leftist beings who would convert our nation into something akin to China?
And then the police will come back with a virulence, just like China, where no protests are allowed.

One heartbreaking facet of this case is that young Tylee was JJ’s only “sane” and protective family member. She was murdered a couple of weeks before he was. Probably Tylee had seen and figured out too much.

Apparently Chad Daybell has been viewed for many years as a respected member of his Mormon community.
Daybell is the author of several folksy books about his encounters with near-death experience and other slick blah-blah, in terms of his mangled interpretations. I do agree that there is an effort to destabilise the US in play. It seems to me that the divide and rule strategy is very obviously being used. *Pit the ‘Left’ and the ‘Right’ against each other as violently as possible, so you can pull the rug out from beneath both.*
Democracy is under threat. Confidence in free and fair elections is under threat. The credibility of election results is under threat. The proper functioning of the Congress and Senate, are under threat.
There are obvious problems with policing methods, but the idea of abolishing or defunding the police, is not a credible solution. A properly conducted review is the solution.

Seattle Officers Guild Pres: Officers Weren’t Allowed into CHAZ to Find Victims and Provide Aid
On Saturday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” Seattle Police Officers Guild President Michael Solan reacted to the shooting that took place inside the city’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) or Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) by stating that “violence has now besieged” the zone, and conditions inside the zone are no longer “the summer of love,” and have turned into “the summer of chaos.” He also said that police officers were not allowed to enter into the area to find victims or provide aid. Solan also expressed his frustration with officials in the city for their failure “to enforce the rule of law.”
Solan said, “[V]iolence has now besieged the area known as CHOP, and it is no longer the summer of love, it’s the summer of chaos. And, early this morning, that violence was raw and real, where one of our community members lost their life, and police are still not allowed into that area, and were prevented [from] providing that police service to the area to locate victims and/or render aid.”
Solan further said that officials in Seattle have failed “the reasonable community of Seattle to enforce the rule of law.”
