Amway Is a Totally Legit Company, Despite What Amway Failure, Scott Johnson says

Ed. Note:  Nicolas Nazal rebuts Scott Johnson’s report that Amway is a scam and actually comes right out and says Scott was merely an average person and, hence, lacking outstanding qualities, was a failure in Amway.

It is his opinion that the fault lies not in Amway but in Johnson.

Mr. Nazal’s views do not represent the views of Frank Report, but in the interest of open discussion, I think it was fair to give the man his opportunity to express his opinion. Since Mr. Nazal is from Asia and English is not his first language, I assisted him in editing his post for clarity and grammatical accuracy.

By Nicolas Nazal

I can’t believe that after 60 years of the glorious Amway company’s success, there are still people thinking they are smarter than the FTC.

If the information contained in Scott Johnson’s report – Scott Johnson: Amway Is the Scam-Way – were real, then I am an impossibility!

Why?

Because, not only am I a success, but more than the 90% of my Amway business earnings come from real customers, not Amway members. This is the same for most of the Amway businesses in Asia.

Furthermore, he claims that Amway products are overpriced, but he doesn’t consider their premium quality and how long they last!

You get what you pay for – and with Amway, you get more for your money.

Again, if Mr. Johnson’s report were true, I and thousands of other successful distributors around the world for decades are not real.

Amway™ Hello, you! Sweepstakes | Shop | Amway United States
Premium products – that’s what Amway offers.

Let me make something clear. The Amway business can be for anybody, but NOT everybody can do it.

This is not a fault of the system because the business model is the same for all distributors.

I have met hundreds of people in the process of building my business.

What I find always happens is that common people always generate common results. Average people have many things in common:

  • They almost all have the same personality (melancholic)
  • They are lazy
  • They have so much fear that they can’t even practice a phone call with their own sponsor.
  • They criticize and complain
  • They are not able to solve almost anything on their own.

This is what I suspect Scott Johnson brought with him – an average or common personality. He is certainly no overachiever.

How in the universe can someone like Scott have a positive result in this or any business?

This common mediocrity, seen in Scott and many others, is why so few people can succeed in Amway or for, that matter, in any business in their lives.

This is true of all business. Most people are workers They are not destined for success.

What makes success is pure leadership. Scott clearly did not have that special talent.

And hard work is required too.

I have to spend several hours after my day job is finished building my Amway business. I also have to spend many weekends, and time on my vacations, holidays, and even family and friend’s birthdays, helping my distributors to earn money and for which I earn money too.

No excuses.

I must be the best example for all my distributors and most of them, I think, are very grateful for the time and help I spend with them. It is a win, win.

Leadership is leading by example – it’s being at the service of your people.

Average people just can’t bear the pressure of leadership – which is why so many people fail in this business.

The problem is not in the Amway company or its products.

The problem is inside each loser, such as Scott, that blames the system and can’t see that they have the problem inside their own mediocre brains.

Well, in the end, I care about this scurrilous report by Scott Johnson.

I doubt you know this but the Chinese government asked Amway to keep its factory running for the help and quality of its products. This is probably something you do not believe either, Scott.

During crisis periods, many traditional companies are going bankrupt, but Amway continues to grow our business, even with record sales in March.

I guess this is not real for you either, Scott.

Well, I do not care what you think. You failed in Amway. I and many others are a success.

I have the results; you can stay and make your excuses.

I can easily see you begging the US government for money to bail you out in the next few days and making false reports on Frank Report.

Meantime, I keep growing my Amway business, helping hundreds of my distributors earn money and making a lot of money myself.

ROFLMAO. Thanks, Mr. Nazal and superb comments — no, Schlock, I didn’t write a one ‘Anonymously’ and never have.

Re Reasons Why Scott Left the Frank Report:

1. Amway tracked Scott down & silenced him.

2. Scott’s wife found out about his posting exploits and put the kibosh on his vile posting.

3. Scott finally found gainful employment.

4. NutJob’s theories are all correct; Scott is a cry-baby tranny lover and Bangkok drove Scott away.

5. Scott no longer can afford an internet and he can’t use the local library connection because of Corona.

6. Scott & former poster Actaeon have found a new home off the web……..In each other’s……..Use your imagination.

7. Scott wanted Frank to pay Scott for Scott’s MLM expertise and Frank said..
….”F*ck off douche bag.”

I vote #2. Although he fakes a good game by using his full name, he’s too much of a pansy to ever be honest about anything that’s not pro-Scott. No way he’ll admit Mrs Textex wears the pants and caught him hatefully type typing away under the covers at 2AM. He’d rather quietly eject than be real. But if that tool comes back as Scooter 2.0, I’ll be pissed.

Although, I also like #7. Frank may have been the first to say “F off douche bag”, but I think Frank speaks for all past and present FR readers (except for Pyriel and smitten Flowers).

I may have been wrong in my previous response, I assumed he was from China. He is probably from another Asian country that has a tool scam. Unless he’s from India, which has rules regarding how much can be charged for tools, thus limiting the tool scam, assuming the rules are enforced. It is quite likely the tool price rules are not enforced, Amway ignores many rules.

I can’t believe that after 60 years of the glorious Amway company’s success, there are still people thinking they are smarter than the FTC. — I am smarter than the FTC. The lead lawyer in the FTC’s case against Herbalife a few years ago couldn’t answer the simple question WHY retail sales are required to a legitimate MLM from being an illegal pyramid. Neither can you.

If the information contained in Scott Johnson’s report – Scott Johnson: Amway Is the Scam-Way – were real, then I am an impossibility! — No, it’s because you live in Communist China, which (theoretically) doesn’t allow the MLM model to be used. This response is used numerous times below, designated with an *.

Why? — See above.*

Because, not only am I a success, but more than the 90% of my Amway business earnings come from real customers, not Amway members. — You’re supposed to have 0% of your Amway business earnings come from customers. See above.* Is there a tool scam in China? Not that I would believe you, because you’re a Communist Chinese lair.

This is the same for most of the Amway businesses in Asia. — No it isn’t, just Communist China.* The ATS (Amway Tool Scam) is alive and “well” in every country Amway is present except Commie China.

Furthermore, you claim that Amway products are overpriced, but you don’t consider the premium quality and how long they yield! — I consider everything and Amway products are still overpriced. The Communist Chinese people clamor for anything American, even overpriced Chinese products. They even use LOC (Liquid Organic Cleaner, the original Amway product) as a sauce on the dogs and cats they eat.

You get what you pay for and with Amway you get more for you money. — You get a slick salesman who has pulled the wool over America’s eyes until Trump trumped the Communist Chinese.

Again, if Mr. Johnson’s report were truth, myself and thousands of other successful distributors around the world for decades are not real. — See above.* Communist China is an aberration, and even then kicked all MLMs out of the country a few years ago and slammed all nutrition-related MLM-like companies last year, which caused Amway’s worldwide volume to decrease, which it has done for the past 5 out of 6 years, from the height of $11.8 billion in 2013 to $8.4 billion in 2019. Including inflation, that means the volume would have to increase by about 60% just to get back to the 2013 level.

Let me make something clear. — Let me make something clear. You are a Chinese Commie who gave the world the Wuhan Chinse flu, hid it, lied about, made doctors who tried to talk about it “disappear,” etc.

The Amway business can be for anybody, but NOT everybody can do it. — Yes, I heard that claptrap over and over again. As my previous story clearly states, Amway is an illegal pyramid and RICO fraud. Only those who can overcome those issues can do it.

This is not a fault of the system because the business model is the same for all distributors. — Commie China has a Direct Sales model, not an MLM model.

I have met hundreds of people in the process of building my business. — You’re not supposed to have downline in Commie China. Are they in other countries?

What I find always happens is that common people always have a common result. — Common people don’t realize they are involved in an illegal pyramid and RICO fraud, or they wouldn’t have joined in the first place.

Average people have many things in common: — The most common thing common people have in common is they are unaware that Amway is an illegal pyramid and RICO fraud.

Almost the same personality (melancholic) — All personalities get scammed by Amway. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be shrinking as it has for the past half-decade plus.
They are lazy — Some are lazy, they are the lucky ones who don’t get scammed as much.
Have so much fear that they can’t even practice a phone call with their own sponsor. — Some have fear, they are the lucky ones who don’t get scammed as much.
Average people criticize, complain — Some do criticize, complain, they are the lucky ones who don’t get scammed as much.
Are not able to solve almost anything on their own. — Some don’t solve problems, they are the lucky ones who don’t get scammed as much.
This is what I suspect Scott Johnson brought with him – an average or common personality. — You suspect wrong, I’m the one who applied themselves and is shining a bright light on the Amway scam and many other MLM scams.
He is certainly no over acheiver. — I’ll stack my achievements up against yours any time.

How in the universe can such as Scott have any result in this or any business? — The same reason most lose money with Amway, it’s a scam.

This common mediocrity, seen in Scott and many others, is why so few people can succeed in Amway or fir that matter in any business in their lives. — Thanks for thinking that I’m mediocre/average, I like being the underdog (as opposed to dog for dinner).

This is true of all business. — No, it isn’t. Because most businesses aren’t scams.

Most people are workers — Most people are honest, that’s why they fall for the dishonest scam artists.

They are not destined for success. — If Amway is success, you can have it, while I keep exposing it.

What makes success is pure leadership. — Success is getting Amway shut down, and it’s well on it’s way, thanks to me and others on the internets.

Scott clearly did not have that special talent. — You’re right, I don’t have the “special talent” to scam others.

And hard work is required too. — I also work hard to shut down Amway and other MLM scams. It’s going my way.

I have to spend several hours after my day job is finished building my Amway business. — I’m sure you do, but that’s not how it’s promoted.

I also have to spend many weekends, and time on my vacations, holidays, and even family and friend’s birthdays, helping my distributors to earn money and for which I earn money too. — When China shuts down Amway for the third time, will you learn your lesson?

No excuses. — Another Amway/MLM phrase.

I must be the best example for all my distributors and most of them, I think, are very grateful for the time and help I spend with them. — Again, are you talking about all of your downline in Commie China? That is supposed to be a Direct Selling model, not an MLM model.

It is a win, win. — How much net money do you typically “win” every month?

Leadership is leading by example; is being at the service of your people. — Another BS Amway slogan, you have learned them well, comrade. Of course, it’s easy to go from the little red book to Amway, isn’t it?

Average people just can’t bear the pressure of leadership that is why so many people fail in this business. — It’s not the pressure, it’s the fact that Amway is a scam, especially outside of Communist China.

The problem is not in the Amway company or its products. — The problem is exactly the Amway company that knows they are an illegal pyramid and RICO fraud. The products are another part of the problem, expensive products can’t be sold in any meaningful quantity, except to the newly minted Communist China “middle class” who hunger for anything associated with America.

The problem is inside each loser, such as Scott, that blames the system and can’t see that they have the problem inside their own mediocre brains. — Again, I’m the one winning, see above volume levels over the past half-decade plus.

Well, in the end I care about this scurrilous report by Scott Johnson. — You haven’t identfied a single fact that is incorrect, just the usual Amway BS excuses.

I doubt you know this but the Chinese government asked Amway to keep its factory running for the help and quality of its products. This is probably something you do not believe either, Scott. — I knew that, I also knew that Communist China restricted travel from Wuhan to other places in China but not to flights to other countries. Did you know THAT? I also know the Communist Chinese are big believers in plant-based cures, and the Amway vitamins and supplements are probably being promoted as Wuhan Chinese coronavirus cures. Not that you would tell the truth and admit to that, however.

During crisis periods, many traditional companies are going bankrupt, but Amway continues to grow our business, even with record sales in March. — Of course Amway China grew in March, see comment above.

I guess this is not real for you either, Scott. — It’s all very real for me.

Well, I do not care what you think. — Likewise.

You failed in Amway. — Correction. I and millions of others were scammed by Amway.

I and many others are a success. — In your own mind, I’m sure you are a success.

I have the result; you can stay and make your excuses. — You haven’t told us what your results are, not that I would believe a lying Communist Chinese person.

I can easily see you begging the US government for money to bail you out in the next few days and making false reports on Frank Report. — My job is very secure and you haven’t stated a single issue that is false.

Meantime I keep growing my Amway business, helping hundreds of my distributors earn money and making a lot of money myself. — You do that, up until Amway is shut down for the third time. LOL

Scott,

I have thoroughly read your rebuttal and Mr. Nicolas Nazal’s article. I must say Nazal’s makes some solid points.

Scott how do you explain the fact that the Federal Government & FTC have allowed Amway to continue unabated?

90% of Amway’s profits are from international sales!!!!!!!!

Maybe, Scott you need to take a long look in the mirror.
Scott why have so many other people found their fortunes thanks to Amway?

The DeVos family is a good Christian family and a stalwart supporter of the GOP!!!

Betsy DeVos helped get Trump elected.

Trump appointed Betsy as the Secretary of Education!!!!!

Are you saying Donald Trump would appoint a crook from a corrupt family the Secretary of Education????

Amway makes billions and has made thousands of millionaires!!!!

Get a life!!!!!!

Amway has been the butt of jokes for decades. It’s a Ponzi scheme that should have been quashed eons ago. The products are mediocre “average”. It’s designed to prey upon people’s natural neighborliness by exploiting them to make the seller i.e. their “friend” who just happens to have the products they want. MLM are a current scourge of middle-america, particularly hard hit are the Mormon communities. It’s notable that Raniere, the Grand Master of NXIVM, was an early disciple of Amway. Notable because he appropriated techniques taught in Amway to lower the defenses of willing dupes.Once they were your friends from next door. Now they are eating the crappy brownie-mix they suckered you into buying.

This is a powerful demonstration of false logic, victim blaming and clear cut fundamental attribution error.

I respect it’s difficult for you to see these problems, so many are like you in this situation. You make comfortably ambiguous statements like 90% of your customers are outside the Amway network and rest easy knowing we can’t falsify that claim for you specifically – but it is a point echoed across those at Amway, and yet in aggregate its impossible for it to be true. (take the 8.4 billion last year and the 3 million distributors worldwide, that’s just south of $3000 generated in revenue per distributor – while the generally accepted definition of being active in Amway to earn commissions on sales is north of $3500).

No, I don’t doubt your success, being in India, it may well be true that you became an ABO early. The problem I have with you is the selling of this opportunity to others, telling them to walk your same path and repeating the same phrasings others do (“business can be for anybody, but NOT everybody can do it”, “most people are workers”, “this is not a fault of the system”). These are thought stopping patterns. They are used to get you to not critically evaluate the information you are presented, and instead disregard factual data in an effort to retain your current system of beliefs. We all seek to avoid cognitive dissonance, and this is the built in mechanism that you are exploiting for yourself and others that join your downline in Amway. I would be fine wishing you well if you put a freeze on your downline and shared all profits generated within your organization so as to ensure all those within the group earn an adequate salary commensurate with the time and effort they invest. The system does not work that way currently. It supports the early movers, but much like with ventilators in the current crisis, giving the rewards to the first-movers is the most inefficient delivery of benefits.

Nicholas, I don’t blame you for having to make this post, but I also hope you don’t expect me to have changed my views on Amway based on your arguments presented herein.

First I want to clarify that I am Chilean and I apologize for my English. The statement that 90% of sales in the Asian market come from customers is not true. This statement was a mistake in the writing and interpretation of what I wanted to write. Amway statistics indicate that in Asia most of the billing comes from real customers, but it does not reach 90% like my business. Let’s remember that we are talking about averages together with a punctual result that is my own. In any case, my business and the average of Asians is a total success considering that Amway does not pay to recruit people.
When I say that 90% of the money that comes into my business comes from customers, I am saying: 1) This is true for my business and I regret that other Amway businesses are not like this, however I congratulate the Asian market because they are doing the right thing. 2) Of the total distributors of my business, only 30% really do something to grow their business. In this 30% of distributors, most of my distributors have 5 or more clients who buy from them. 3) Remember that Amway does not pay to get people in. 4) Most of my distributors are young people who do not work and whose only form of income is this business, so they cannot buy for themselves. 5) Because my business depends on 90% of real clients, there are times when very few people enter my business and even so the billing remains stable. This is a sign of a healthy business done with real clients.
The danger of talking about averages and doing simple math with this business is that it includes within the same bag the majority who really do nothing to grow their business, with a small percentage of people who are intermittent and abandon, along with the small group of people who really make a constant effort and who do have results. In this way you cannot simply divide Amway’s total income among the 3 million distributors, because from there a very small percentage really makes a real effort to grow their business. The vast majority do not really deserve to receive anything because they do nothing. In fact, because in my organization my wife and I are the ones that do our best, it would be tremendously unfair for a Robin Hood to come and take money from us to distribute it among the 60% of the people on my team who really don’t deserve it .
Apart from this information, I can recommend that you better investigate Amway’s compensation plan, as you clearly lack information on how the money is distributed. In Chile the income level of 9%, which is an achievement that can even be done with a single person, is easily enough to pay the house bills. Upon reaching 15% compensation Amway pays you the equivalent of what 70% of the professional population of Chile earns ($ 647 dollars). My wife and I are currently 21% Platinum (compensation plan for Latin America) and within our organization we have a 22-year-old boy who is Platinum Ruby, which means that he earns more money than we do and so we can feel very proud because he resolved his life thanks to the invitation and help that we dedicated to him. Yes, we work a lot, we also argue with people like you and we also had problems, but we, unlike most of the people who take this opportunity, go ahead and build a system. We are nothing compared to the Asian market, but at least in my country my wife today earns between 2 and 3 times what she earned in her job.
Finally, I want to clarify that I am using my real name, you can find me on facebook, linkedin and instagram and my statements are based on experience and not on assumptions. My results in the business speak for themselves. That is why, apart from clarifying this situation, I do not care about the opinion of the people. In fact you are right, I congratulate you, be happy with what you think you know. I have the result.

The author makes some good points. It’s as if he personally knows Scott. I’m team Nicolas Nadal. Which reminds me – anyone up for “tennis”? Which reminds me – Scott won’t reply to this hit piece. Not because he’s a loser/quitter of Amway and Frank Report, but because he’s holed up in a seedy French Quarter hotel, he’s got a smile on his face (despite taking this drubbing by Rafa), he’s nursing a hangover, and he has a tranny draped over his untied XXXL bathrobe.

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
