Not More Deaths Than Average
COVID is ‘not’ causing more deaths in 2020 compared to other years.
It’s possible that many of the deaths classified as “COVID” would have happened anyway, as many experts and doctors are saying.
They are simply taking many ‘heart attack’ and ‘lung disease’ deaths and counting them as COVID deaths —– simply because the patient caught the virus at the hospital. This would explain why overall deaths aren’t massively spiking upward as a whole, and appear to be lower this year.

Minnesota on Lock Down for What?
Minnesota media admit that the median age of their 29 deaths (from COVID) is 86 years old.
Yet the whole state is on lockdown.
If the median age of death is 86 then protecting the younger people is NOT a logical thing to do BECAUSE it hurts the older people in the long run.
Why?
Cuz as long as the younger people don’t have herd immunity (by hiding from the virus) they will continue to pose a threat to the older people.
They should be separating and protecting the older people with strict measures, while letting the younger people get herd immunity so they won’t be a threat to the older people after a few weeks.
At this rate (with the lockdowns) the older people will continue to be threatened by the younger people for many months. This is not helping the older people.

Germany Getting at the Truth
German city becomes one of the first cities to test 80% of its citizens for COVID —– to see what the ‘true’ infection rate and death percentages are.
It reports that 15% of its citizens are infected, which is a much higher percentage than anticipated (which is what I’ve been saying will happen all along, as most citizens have mild symptoms or no symptoms and never seek out testing).
This is good news because it means the true “death percentage” is only 0.37% of everybody infected in this city.
It’s death percentage is 0.37% (just a bad flu season)
This is similar to the Princess Cruise Ship death percentage when adjusted for the average age distribution in the USA (the cruise ship had a 1% death percentage —- but it was mostly older people on board, so we must adjust that to reflect the average ages in the USA).
When the USA begins massive serology testing in a few weeks (widespread testing to see how many people were infected but never knew it) —– we should see the death percentage go down by similar numbers.

Biden Contradiction

Interesting Factoid about COVID…
Three different countries which had the most aggressive and early ‘social distancing’ in place HAD THE WORST OUTBREAKS.
France, Italy and Spain.
This poses an interesting question about NOSOCOMIAL transmission and INTRAFAMILIAL transmission.
Nosocomial Example:
Early on, TONS of people got freaked out by the ‘media hysteria’ and ‘lockdowns’ so they visited the hospital when they didn’t need to, because they had minor cold/flu symptoms (and were terrified it might be COVID). A large percentage of these people tested negative, but they wound up getting infected anyway at the hospital.
Fact: 80%-90% of all people tested for COVID are ‘negative’ and are sent home from the hospital without being admitted (only 10%-20% of people tested are positive for the virus). But ‘nosocomial’ infections are ones that happen at the hospital, the ultimate breeding ground for this virus.
Intrafamilial Example:
Forcing families to huddle around each other 24/7 is dangerous, especially when the younger family members often have NO symptoms even when infected, which guarantees that the whole family gets infected without even knowing who infected them.
So if France, Italy and Spain had the ‘earliest’ and ‘most aggressive’ lockdowns — but their infection rate was worse — then we need to understand that our current method of ‘lockdowns’ and ‘hysteria’ might not be helping as much as we think.
The reductions/flattening that everybody is seeing now (including Italy) may simply be herd immunity running its normal course, just as it does with the flu each year.
Media is now comparing death toll to several 9/11’s.
Yet when tens of thousands die from the flu each year, including many more children (many children die from flu but don’t die from COVID) we don’t call it anything, and everybody just smiles and goes on with their lives as if nothing happened.
This is ‘semantics’ on steroids.

Bad news for Liberals…
The aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt has been tested for COVID.
This is the best place to ‘test’ the theory of how it affects younger and healthier people (non old people).
There have been 300 positive tests BUT NO HOSPITALIZATIONS.
This would indicate that liberals are wrong.
It would also indicate that a higher percentage of the USA’s general population have been infected already, but didn’t have symptoms strong enough to make them visit the hospital and get tested.
This will lower the death rate (percentage) when we finally begin testing more of our society to find these many younger, asymptomatic carriers who never got tested.

Their main page lists only one favorable study on hydroxychloroquine – not, for instance, the unfavorable Chinese study and more recent French trial with negative results – and “correspondence” with a family doctor experimenting with the drug in an orthodox Jewish community
The site is run by a lawyer, and one of two medical consultants is Didier Raoult, author of that hydroxychloroquine study – a very small one whose publisher has admitted it was not up to scientific standards:

Scientific fraud, yes. Not the first time such a thing has occurred and in a pandemic, perhaps to be expected, as certain market forces would still be operating as per, and certain people will view this as a situation that can be profited from.
In this case, I don’t see where the doctor involved stands to profit – though his personal investments and corporate affiliations could be deeper than is obvious.
But as in the case of Raniere, we can see that there are narcissistic and psychopathic personality types who like to hold themselves out as being among the smartest men in the world and top problem solvers, and who crave being in the spotlight and receiving adulation. There is, unfortunately, more fraud in medical studies than many people might be aware of, and I think a lot of it comes down to just ego and self-aggrandizement.
It’s worth noting, though, that while the quinine drugs have been around for a long time, just because they’re not still under patent doesn’t mean that there aren’t corporate interests that stand to profit from their adoption and use. There’s still the potential for profits producing the drugs, at least initially when there may be a preference for paying a premium to buy from domestic and European manufacturers seen as more reliable and higher quality than lower-cost foreign manufacturers.

Speaking of lies and exaggerations, many of Bangkok’s easily debunked and disproven claims would be laughably false and ignorant, if his trolling wasn’t dangerously misleading in the midst of a public health crisis. For instance, there’s no German “first cit[y] to test 80% of its citizens for COVID”. In Heinsberg they did a randomized epidemiological survey that may have had a high confidence rate, but it actually only involved less than 5% of the population:

Typically, we can see there how Bangkok and the armchair experts he follows on Twitter have gotten it completely wrong and are grossly misrepresenting the facts, turning “85 per cent of them have given their permission to be tested” into “test 80%” – or else, if not just sloppy and ignorant, they’re engaging in a deliberately misleading propaganda exercise. In the Heinsberg region they had rates of 560 cases and 16 deaths per 100,000 total population, and that’s with new cases having peaked about two weeks ago and deaths on the decline for several days now.
In the US in New York City, for example, there are 969 cases and 51 deaths per 100,000 total population – 2 to 3 times the Heinsberg rate – at a point in the pandemic where it’s not entirely clear yet that new cases are trending down, and the daily death rate is still rising exponentially. New York State as a whole is at a rate of 32 deaths per 100,000, also well above the Heinsberg rate, as are the state of New Jersey and the city of New Orleans, among others.

1) If you’re under 75 and healthy —– you have a very small risk.
2) Even if you’re 60 years old, you have an extremely SMALL risk (unless you have a serious medical condition).
3) If you’re under 45 and healthy —– you have a TINY risk (similar to dying of the flu).
4) Kids have virtually ZERO risk so there’s no reason to worry about kids (because MANY more kids die from the flu each year).
5) If you’re 75-80 there’s a more serious risk, but according to this data, only 400 people out of every 100,000 (above 75 years old) is dying from COVID in New York City. So even if you’re 75 years old, your chances of survival are way over 95% —- so stop being scared.
*The inmates in NY federal lockup are subject to these same stats, Joe. Dying is just not a likely outcome except for VERY OLD and VERY SICK inmates.
6) If you’re above 90 then ‘tomorrow’ is never guaranteed anyway —– so statistics become kinda worthless since humans aren’t meant to live to 100.

At huge numbers like 214 million infected by a novel virus to which there is no carryover immunity as there is with common flus, even those tiny percentages become large numbers – and at the point that the healthcare system becomes completely overwhelmed and starts to run out of resources, fatality rates for even younger groups will only increase further.
By the way, those are basically the numbers that I used, as early as March 14, to predict a realistic range of 100,000 to 200,000 deaths, if the sort of measures and restrictions you’re arguing against, were taken – the same numbers POTUS adopted on March 29:
“And so if we could hold that down, as we’re saying, to 100,000 — it’s a horrible number, maybe even less — but to 100,000. So we have between 100 and 200,000, and we all together have done a very good job.”

Bangkok, your’re the one arguing for “herd immunity” or “let it burn” strategies that would let large numbers of people die – including the likes of Boris Johnson, someone older with co-morbidities who might get triaged when overwhelmed hospitals had to focus on saving the young (you keep ignoring the inconvenient truth, that about 15% of younger patients still need hospitalization to recover). But obviously, you’ll talk out of whichever side of your mouth suits your trolling at the moment.

Boris Johnson is Prime Minister, and he is subject to different rules than other people of the same age or older and those with similar or the same secondary illnesses.
For Prime Minister Boris Johnson, intensive care would always be available, even if the health system in England collapsed because of Covid-19 and hospitals could no longer cope with the number of sick people. There should be no illusion that all people are treated equally, according to the same criteria. There will always be preferential treatment for certain people, even though there will be no official confirmation of this. That is why Boris Johnson is an unsuitable example.

Good question – unfortunately Bangkok, and a lot of his sources, aren’t that rigorous, so don’t expect an answer.
I went looking for the graph and couldn’t find it. I think the armchair Twitter expert Berenson put it together himself – which is why it has that very amateur-looking and obviously incorrect plunge of the red line. The CDC data I did find, noted that full reporting can lag by up to 4 weeks, which means that even the last several weeks of the chart for this year probably represent an undercount – which should have been noted by, say, a dotted line in an accurate and professional representation – and then the final plunge occurs where only very partial data are in yet.
Yeah I dove into the CDC site and looked at a ton of data. The only good one I found showed we are at 86% mortality rate for flu/pnemonia deaths compared to the average of 2017-2019. this was including the COVID related deaths for this year and it was though 6 Apr 2020. But in the end no chart like the one above in the article.
Obviously, Bangkok and his armchair expert Twitter guru are playing around with data they don’t really understand, if their graph shows a massive, unprecedented drop in the weekly death rate, at the same time there are exceptionally high rates of mortality reported in places like New York, New Jersey and New Orleans. They’re obviously not properly fact-checking, or even reality-checking – or else they’re not admitting that they believe in a conspiracy theory so vast, that they know it would sound preposterous to be upfront about it.
Berenson, the primary source Bangkok keeps spamming/trolling with, has previously been discredited for a Reefer Madness type theory he believes he sees in marijuana data – that he’s even extrapolated that to tie into the current pandemic:
