Stop Hoarding and Paying More – Soap Works Better Than Alcohol-Based Hand Sanitizers

By Bangkok

Soap Is Just Fine

Media hysteria is causing people to hoard the WRONG things to sanitize their hands.

Stop hoarding HAND SANITIZER and ANTI-BACTERIAL SOAP.

Why?

Cuz they don’t work ANY BETTER than regular SOAP.

1) Regular soap kills viruses (like coronavirus) BETTER than alcohol-based hand sanitizers.

Yep. Alcohol based cleaners are NOT as effective at wrecking a virus as regular soap. So if you’re using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, you’re getting less protection than if you were using soap.

2) Regular soap kills viruses (like coronavirus) exactly the SAME as ‘anti-bacterial’ soap —— because viruses are NOT bacteria, therefore, you get ZERO extra protection when using an ‘anti-bacterial’ soap to kill a virus).

3) Regular soap WRECKS the structure of the virus and is very effective at killing (inactivating) a virus.

QUOTE FROM ARTICLE:

==========================

Soap works better than alcohol [sanitizers] and disinfectants at destroying the structure of viruses.

This is how soap removes dirt, and bacteria, from the skin.

Why does soap work so well on the new coronavirus and, indeed, most viruses? Because it is a self-assembled nanoparticle in which the weakest link is the lipid (fatty) bilayer.

That sounds scientific. Let me explain.

Soap dissolves the fat membrane, and the virus falls apart like a house of cards and “dies,” or rather, it becomes inactive as viruses aren’t really alive. Viruses can be active outside the body for hours, even days.

Disinfectants, or liquids, wipes, gels and creams containing alcohol (and soap) have a similar effect but are not as good as regular soap.

Apart from alcohol and soap, ‘antibacterial’ agents in those products don’t affect the virus structure much.

Consequently, many ‘antibacterial’ products are basically just an expensive version of soap in how they act on viruses.

Soap is the best, but alcohol wipes are good when soap is not practical or handy, for example in office reception areas.

==========================

So the next time you think of buying pallets of hand sanitizer or ‘anti-bacterial’ soap for massive prices —— just remember that you’re basically doing what a RETARD would do, because you’re not getting one iota of extra protection.

You may as well just wear a lucky rabbit’s foot —— cuz your sanitizer is serving as a false sense of extra security, when in fact regular soap is a better choice for killing the virus on your hands.

Bangkok,

Do you ever drop the soap?

Are people really using hand sanitizer, except in situations except where they can’t readily wash their hands?

Or are you being the “retard,” by jumping to mistaken assumptions about what people might be doing, when the reality is actually quite different?

I’d never think of using hand sanitizer when I can wash instead. Bangkok, have you thought through whether the hand sanitizer use isn’t actually mostly when people have no other choice, like when they’re in public places and there is no sink nearby?

I supplied my whole extended family with pocket-sized bottles of hand sanitizer to use when they’re out shopping and doing other essential errands. I still recommend, and practice, avoiding touching your face until you get back home and can wash.

But, yeah, at home or anywhere else a sink is available, washing is, of course, the best option. I’ve always avoided supposed anti-bacterial soaps, in part because at least in the past, some of them contained unnecessary antibiotic compounds that were likely to have the unintended consequence of encouraging the development of antibiotic-resistant microbe strains.

There’s some point in using specialized antimicrobial soaps in health care settings, but that’s a different matter.

AnonyMaker,

Simple Hand Washing Tip/ trick in Public Areas:

Many Chinese families in my town, first generation, bring a long 2 liter bottles of water and hand soap to the grocery; and wash their hands in the grocery store parking lot.

I’m not kidding.

I have actually done it my self now. If you have 2 people it’s easy, and if you are alone it’s a little trickier, but if you bring 32oz elongated bottles like Poland Spring makes it’s doable.

“Pride cometh before the fall.”

Washing your hands in a parking lot may seem extreme, but I’d rather be safe than risk my life.

I have plenty of hand sanitizer but I actually do prefer washing my hands when I can.

Have a good night AnonyMaker! Take care!

On this, I agree with Big Bang. An easy way to insure an adequate job (minimum 20 sec. scrub as per CDC recs) is to sing through the ABC song once or Happy Birthday twice (inside your own head – you don’t need to serenade a public restroom) at a walking pace. It’s an easy way to help small children remember to wash long enough to be effective.

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
