There is at least one source who says that Raniere told Dr. Brandon Porter, now notorious for his Nxivm human fright experiments, that he was Josef Mengele, the Angel of Death, in his past life.

Nancy Salzman:

You should continue to press Frank on WHEN his sources supposedly heard Nancy repudiate Keith.
Why?
1) Cuz she would never have done that as ‘Prefect’ (prior to arrest). Criticizing/repudiating Keith to other NXIVM members, while she was Prefect, was a guaranteed way to lose her status if somebody blabbed. There’s no secrecy in NXIVM.
2) Nor would she have criticized/repudiated Keith after being arrested either, since she didn’t cut a plea deal and ‘turn against’ Keith until just before the trial (very late in the process). She and her attorneys were still cooperating with Keith’s legal team up until that point.
3) Nor would she have criticized/repudiated Keith after cutting a plea deal, since her attorneys would have advised her to remain silent.

She also never agreed to help the government convict Keith — other than to be truthful in anything she was asked, which is NOT the same thing as the plea deal that Lauren cut, which required her to be a major witness against Keith.

I find this really bizarre along with things like claiming people caused the shuttle Challenger explosion or the 9/11 terrorist attack because they didn’t do what Raniere wanted. I would have laughed if he tried this on me.

Hah! Sweeney Todd, the demon barber of Fleet Street… I think he is more folk legend than reality. Raniere would appreciate that suggestion – he wanted to play that role, but ended up cast as Pirelli, the sham street barber. Ironically, that was related to another “don’t say no to Keith’s ego” incident. The last summer I was with him, he asked my opinion if he could be cast as the lead role in next year’s production of Sweeney. I said I didn’t think so – that they would probably go for a more physically imposing actor with a more baritone voice. He was furious at me and made sure I knew it. It was just another nail in the coffin of our relationship – I was done being treated like that. Don’t want my honest opinion, then don’t ask.
Incidentally, they did cast exactly the kind of actor I proposed, and additionally, one far more capable of portraying the tragic emotional creature that the role requires. Can’t portray those emotions well if you don’t even understand them.
During the run of the show, he made sure to inform me that a Hollywood talent scout was attending to see his work. At that point I had been out of the relationship for many months; I don’t think I even bothered to respond. Pretty much avoided any interaction with him at all which wasn’t too hard since our roles didn’t intersect at all.

Yeah Crowley really was clever. And an agent for MI5 or 6. Do fill us in on diarrhaniere’s service for America’s intelligence service. Seems highly likely at this point.
Crowley was a horn dog and active experimental exponent of sex magic. Raniere, based on reports also practiced sex magic, but to a much larger degree than Crowley. Issues that arise but are not mastered in one life, frequently transfer to succeeding lives to be resolved.
Raniere, like Crowley had access to extraordinary wealth, and could have had a wonderful life, if he’d just restrained his lower nature and been satisfied with one or two women, and not persecuted his detractors.
I know nothing about Crowleys alleged desire to serve in intelligence.

It is unfair to compare Keith Raniere to Adolf Hitler. Unfair to Hitler!
As evil as Hitler was, he was industrious and could organize a movement that could take over a great nation and almost conquer Europe.
Only the bravery of the British, the Industrial might of America and the incredible sacrifices of Russia stopped Hitler.
We should be thankful that Raniere was too lazy, stupid and undisciplined to do any more than conquer Albany and Saratoga counties.
And all of Raniere’s conquests were done using Bronfman money to bribe corrupt local politicians.
Had Raniere been more industrious and intelligent, he would have conquered Canada and Mexico and established a Protectorate over Latin America.
Raniere appears to have a thing for underage Latinas.
And as an additional note, Hitler was a soldier in World War I and was brave earning two Iron Crosses.
Raniere ended up cowering in a Puerto Vallarta bathroom leaving Lauren Salzman to face Mexican machine guns.
