If she wasn’t part of a cult that taught this view, then that variable is removed and only then can one be certain that it couldn’t have such an effect. But the fact that she was part of this cult for six or seven years which engaged in thought reform techniques that taught such views that it was important enough to be specifically pointed out by Susan Donnes in a legal deposition, the primary purposes of which are to change the beliefs and behavior of someone to make them more in line with the general views held by it, is a strong indicator that such teachings did indeed have a likely influence.

What difference does it make? I’ve never tried to hide who I was.
