‘Proud to Be From This Planet,’ Nxivm Leader Keith Raniere Makes Case for Multiculturalism in Rare Video Clip

Keith Raniere proclaimed himself to be the ethicist for the NXIVM community. An ethicist is one whose judgment on ethics and ethical codes has come to be trusted by a specific community, and is expressed in some way that makes it possible for others to mimic or approximate that judgment. Following the advice of ethicists is one means of acquiring knowledge

Skipping the amazingly wild hand gestures, the run-on sentences, the heavy servings of word salad [with bullshit for dressing  – and ignoring what we now know about his pedophilia, Raniere makes his case for multiculturalism in a three-minute video that was released years ago.

This is what his disciples saw – the quest for a better world – his revolutionary thinking and his supposed sincerity.

We now know it to be an act, but it is part of our study to see Raniere as his followers saw him.

This short video interview relates to his Rainbow Cultural Garden child experiments and the immersion of children into a world where they had a different foreign nanny every day who would speak to the child only in their native language.

Raniere also answers the rather silly question – “Is he proud to be on this planet?”

video

Here is the transcript of the video [courtesy Marie White].

Interviewer [not seen in the video]  Would you tell us about your ideas for this education for a new Earth?

Raniere: Well that’s interesting.

Children need to become adults; that is, in our bodies they’re mature we can breathe we can go out and deduce and sustain ourselves but then there’s another stage of upbringing of upgrading of education that must happen, taking adults to become humanitarian adults, ecological adults, adults that can understand the nature of being on the planet, being in an environment with many many people and many many different types in the basic practices of how to do that.

So one of the most important things I believe in the upbringing of children is that children need to be exposed and have deep relationships, teacher-adult relationships, where the child is brought up by people from different cultures so that the child does not feel first and foremost ‘I am of such and such a culture’ and then second most ‘I am human’ and I translate all these cultures as I did when I was a child translating the French culture into American, translating German culture into American, translating Chinese culture into American that subjugates those cultures.

But I think that our children could have a much better time if they were brought up with three or five different cultures and that they see themselves as something that is beyond those cultures that is human, that is common to all of those cultures and that every individual that participates in these different cultures is not that culture first, human second, but human first that happens to have this flavor, that flavor that culture, or that culture.

There’s a common cultureness and if you are a child and as you said and you are brought up in multiple cultures, those cultures become family to you, become part of you, become a part of your memories, your upbringing.

You can’t go against that culture because going against that culture is going against yourself and that’s the actual point, to have a recognition that going against another culture, going against another human is going against ourselves.

Interviewer: Are you proud to be from this planet? Why?

A. Um, I think it is the most awesome gift to exist, so to have the opportunity to have a body, to live and to grow and to have all of these moments through which we experience joy, um, is the most awesome, incredible experience and this is all a gift to us, and if you enjoy your moments, how could you not be overjoyed, over grateful, to be given that opportunity.

Keith Alan Raniere is presently residing at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, NY where he reportedly does not have many joyful moments.

***

So, there you have Keith at his best, I suppose.

I always found it fascinating that Keith advocated for children to learn 5 or 7 languages and he could barely speak one language, English.

He said, “Children need to become adults; that is, in our bodies they’re mature, we can breathe, we can go out, and deduce and sustain ourselves but then there’s another stage of upbringing of upgrading of education that must happen, taking adults to become a humanitarian adults, ecological adults, adults that can understand the nature of being on the planet, being in an environment with many many people and many, many different types in the basic practices of how to do that.”

What the hell does that mean? Whatever it means, it is certainly expressed poorly.

He is also a little scary with his latent pedophilia.

He says, “So one of the most important things I believe in the upbringing of children is that children need to be exposed and have deep relationships, teacher-adult relationships…”

We now know about Keith’s teacher-child relationships and his adult-child relationships.

He raped children – such as Gina H., Gina M., Rhiannon, and Camil. He even had Camila, when she was an adult, search for new children [virgins] for him to rape.

Rosa Laura Junco offered her 15-year-old daughter to him – when he was 57 years old.

And yet, his comment that “children could have a much better time if they were brought up with three or five different cultures, [so] that they see themselves as something that is beyond those cultures that is human, that is common to all of those cultures…. and…  those cultures become family to you, become part of you, become a part of your memories, your upbringing.

“You can’t go against that culture because going against that culture is going against yourself and that’s the actual point, to have a recognition that going against another culture, going against another human, is going against ourselves.”

That makes a degree of sense, and it would be a lot more palatable if it did not come from a man who was eager to rape any girl of any culture when she reached puberty.

Finally, Raniere answers the question, ‘is he proud to be on this planet?’

He speaks of joy.

“… to exist… to have a body, to live and to grow and to have all of these moments through which we experience joy, is the most awesome, incredible experience and this is all a gift to us, and if you enjoy your moments, how could you not be overjoyed, over grateful, to be given that opportunity.”

He was a man who had a lot of joy for a time and he seemed to get joy by making others unhappy. He created a lot of pain for a lot of people, men and women both.

His old adage, “He who has the most joy wins,” was very revealing, as if joy was a game, or a battle, with winners and losers.

He did not say “He who BRINGS the most joy wins”. Instead, he said, “he who HAS the most joy wins.”

For many years, Raniere had the most joy. He lived like a prince with his harem and his heiresses and everybody in his orbit considering him if not divine, the smartest man in the world.

He had a 20 year run of joy, by hurting others.

He said in the video, “If you enjoy your moments, how could you not be overjoyed, over grateful, to be given that opportunity.”

It is not likely Keith is enjoying his moments now.

And he has many of them ahead in a cold, dank cell, without every being near a child or a woman, most likely for the rest of his life.

Viva Executive Success!

As nutty as Keith seems to us now, he still convinced thousands of people to spend thousands of dollars to learn his wisdom. And he convinced maybe hundreds of women to have sex with him. Maybe his words convinced them or just confused them, but he was able to exploit their human frailties to get their money or their pussies. And if he hadn’t gotten the attention of the mainstream press with DOS, he would still be doing it today.
The silly little man speaking word salad is quite an interesting story and an Executive Success…until he blew it.

Throughout the video, Keith’s hand gestures to help convey an idea are amateur, at best. Clumsy, actually.

One of the clues as to Vanguard’s lack of clothing, was how overrated his public speaking was. Anyone remember his stupid joke about the old guy’s suspenders getting caught in the fast car? A whatever joke. Well Keith thought it was SOOO funny. Until the day he had a full house of tire kickers he was trying to sell on ESP, and he fell on his face when not a soul even gave a token smile to his 5 minute ice- breaking joke.

The only reason people listened to Keith EVER, was because they really thought he was one of the smartest men on the planet. He was an amateur speaker, but was usually given the benefit of the doubt because of his supposed intelligence.

Keith Raniere in all of the press release videos always comes across in a very innocuous, benevolent, and hippy-dippy kind-of-way.

I am disgusted and repulsed by many of NXIVM’s followers; I believe it’s important to try and remember Frank’s observation, “This is what his disciples saw – the quest for a better world – his revolutionary thinking and his supposed sincerity”. Keith Raniere really came across like a Ben and Jerry, of Ben’s & Jerry’s Ice cream, type of individual.

Who does not want to change the world and be a part of something special?

I still think the members that committed crimes deserve some jail time, most did seem to truly believe they were working toward a higher purpose.

It’s indeed absolutely telling of Raniere’s ignorance and hypocrisy that he’s pushing a theory about foreign language learning when he hasn’t acquired competence in even one himself – he’s sub-par, particularly for a university graduate, much less an exemplary prodigy.

I think what Raniere is getting at is better labeled cross-cultural competence – a worthy skill highly valued in business and other fields so that, for instance, someone can go to meetings and social events in another country and culture, interact appropriately with people, and avoid the sort of faux pas that can put them off and spoil attempted dealings. But he certainly lacks the understanding to know how to train that; 5 to 7 languages, much less cultures with varying norms about everything from social hierarchies to physical contact, is confusing overload for a young child; and at the extremes, it also probably varies according to the child’s abilities, and, thus, he was making the mistake of a one-size-fits-all approach. While the research I’ve seen shows clear benefits to exposing children to multiple languages from infancy, a rule of thumb has also developed that children need to spend about 30% of their time on acquiring a language in order to attain optimal competence, so there’s a practical limit of about 3 languages initially.

The phraseology of “a new Earth” is somewhat curious – it sounds like the sort of wording used by theosophists and occultists during Steiner’s era when Waldorf schools were born, and then again in the “new age” movement, so I wonder if it had some specific meaning in Raniere’s ideology that we haven’t really heard about, or was just for some reason the word choice of what sounds like a Mexican narrator.

And I’m trying to figure out what Raniere means by “translate all these cultures as I did when I was a child” – though he’s probably just once again claiming to have done things, that he didn’t really do.

Thanks for this. It’s always really interesting to get to see a sample of Raniere at work, for what that’s worth.

You’ve done battle with heavyweights. You’ve weathered attacks. I do respect you for that.

But I still question your bravery over the story about a movie actress who allegedly had a romp with Keith —- where a child was supposedly sired from the incident, at least according to a story you printed.

Last year (or maybe the year before) you printed a story about this actress and were soon threatened by a powerful law firm.

You temporarily stood your ground and didn’t remove the story. You claimed to have a solid source. You claimed that you wouldn’t fold like a lawn chair.

However, you then QUIETLY let the story fall off the radar and ‘clammed up’ like a frightened puppy staring at a grizzly bear, as if scared shitless in the face of those legal threats.

I have to assume that your silence on this story (ever since that day) is an example of Frank Parlato caving-in and not standing up against the whole world. Or perhaps it was a sign that the story wasn’t true and Frank had lost faith in his sources?

I’ve seen many stories on Allison Mack here, many of which repeat the same general points with nothing new learned. Yet this other story gets one single print from Frank Parlato, then it’s kaput?

So I must wonder, has Frank been cowed into silence? Or are his sources full of shit?

I must ask the tough questions, Frank, as I represent truth, justice and righteous honor. 🙂

Have a nice day. 🙂

I’m just making the point that you’re not always willing to stand up to the whole world.

“Brave,” “hero” little Frankie only found the motivation to write about his sex slaver pal Keith after he was indicted. Until then, he was no better than all of the other cowards who slunk away. Apparently only after finding out Clare committed perjury AGAINST HIM, did Frank decide that Clare was a wretched, evil woman and what an evil criminal enterprise Keith was running. Apparently, the Times Union series in 2012 exposing Keith’s rape and pedophilia didn’t convince Fank that Clare and Keith were evil and he should take pen to paper, nor was paying him $75k a month to publicly claim Rick Ross a “thug” and Joe O’Hara a “corrupt lawyer.” Imagine if “heroic” Frank had found the courage to lend his voice to those of James Odato and John Tighe back in 2012 instead of waiting until 2015 when he was indicted. Frank didn’t even have the decency to quit working for the sex cult a la Joe. No, Fraudster Frank had to be fired by the sex slaver! — Frank Roberts or maybe Phil Robertson

Pride is, traditionally, one of the seven deadly sins in Christianity, so there’s a real question as to whether it actually fits with the Judeo-Christian roots of this country.

“There is perhaps no one of our natural passions so hard to subdue as pride. ” – Benjamin Franklin

“Pride costs us more than hunger, thirst, and cold.” – Thomas Jefferson

And perhaps you will learn the history that America was the only country that had to fight a civil war to end the abominable institution of slavery – one arguably bolstered by misplaced Southern pride – long after most other countries had come to peaceful consensus that it was inhuman and intolerable. It’s America’s original sin, nothing to be proud of in any regard, though those of us whose American forebears didn’t practice it, and were part of the abolition movement and then fought for that and the preservation of the union (I’m named after one of those), can take a certain satisfaction in having been on the right side of history.

You may want to use The Google and endeavor to understand this country more profoundly.

p.s. You will also find that most of the Founders, including the two quoted above, were multi-lingual, understood themselves to be part of international society if not world citizens, and were members of the trans-national Freemasonry movement or part of other brotherhoods – it’s a Latin inscription circling an Egyptian pyramid on the Great Seal of the United States, after all.

“The World is my country, all mankind are my brethren, and to do good is my religion.” – Thomas Paine

“I had always hoped that this land might become a safe and agreeable asylum to the virtuous and persecuted part of mankind, to whatever nation they might belong.” – George Washington

Scott, you have the convenience of dealing with an organization (Amway) that so far as I know doesn’t actually have a history of Mafia-like retaliatory violence, and apparently no family to risk involving. Have you ever come home to find police tape around your house?

Long ago when I was an active, identified critic of another cult, an explosive device went off that had been hidden in a pot by my front door – when my young children were living in the house. The bomb squad never fully explained the triggering to me, except to say that they thought it exploded prematurely, which may mean that it was intended to go off when someone went through the door. I’ve done my duty in open battle and retired from that, and you can thank me for my service.

And also dealing with Scientology, as I do now, it’s more than just in the mind:

Agency that wouldn’t check on Shelly Miscavige makes visit to Underground Bunker commenter

“Scientology….called the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office, which showed up at Wryturman’s front door yesterday morning.

Wryturman says he isn’t sure how he was located from a comment at the Bunker in a little under two days. His Disqus profile is set to private, and he is careful not to discuss his private information online.”

https://tonyortega.org/2020/02/10/another-dog-poisoned-bobette-riales-says-harassment-worse-since-suing-scientology/

My children are now young adults, but I still wouldn’t want Scientology harassing them, which is exactly what they are known to do – they track down and deliberately try to put pressure on family, friends and employers, as they know that is leverage people may be more likely to succumb to than direct attacks. I still have had to have sort of oblique conversations with my neighbors, letting them know that if anyone comes around asking about me, they shouldn’t answer any questions and should let me know.

You have a lot to learn, because you don’t know squat. You need to read the book “Merchants of Deception.” Also, read the paragraphs in red about a quarter of the way down this page: https://stoptheamwaytoolscam.wordpress.com/amway-physical-attacksthreats/ Amway sued me, it cost me about $25-$30,000 in lawyer costs and I kicked their butt, just read my settlement agreement on my website. I have a family to risk. It doesn’t slow me down one bit. I don’t keep going after Amway and other MLM scams because they merely threaten me. I do it so others don’t have similar losses of time and money that I and 10s of millions of others have experienced by being scammed. I have never come home to the presence of police tape around my home, but that wouldn’t make me turn tail. You won’t get any thanks from me for going AWOL. The stupid Scientology commenter made a stupid comment and admitted to making a stupid comment. Your comment about Scientology finding out who he is is actually an argument for NOT hiding your identity, because they will find out anyway. We know Scientology are a bunch of scumbags, the proper response is for EVERYONE to stand up to them, they would be overwhelmed and unable to attack of them. There is strength in numbers.

Why the constant denigration of America?
You blame America for having had slavery without mentioning that the Islamic world conducted most of the slave trade.
Muslim pirates raided coastal villages in Europe and took Europeans as slaves.
Slavery was legal in many Muslim countries as late as the nineteen sixties.

You fail to mention the Muslim genocide of Hindus in India.
You fail to mention that nations like Russia had a form of slavery called serfdom.
You fail to mention that the Aztecs of Mexico not only had slavery but also human sacrifice and cannibalism.

How many people were murdered in Communist China to create Mao’s Utopia?
How many people were murdered in Soviet Russia to create Lenin and Stalin’s Utopia?

But in the warped world of America’s Marxist Universities, the only place where Marxism thrives today, only America is the source or evil in the world.
And Bolshevik Bernie is the Cure.

Why don’t you mention that Bolshevik Bernie wrote Porn novels pushing rape and pedophilia?

Exposed! Bernie Sanders’ Secret Sex Essays Reveal Twisted Fantasies — ‘He’s A Real Sicko’
Presidential contender wrote about abuse, rape and kids.
February 18, 2016 @ 6:53AM

Upstart Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has been caught in a child-sex probe, a top political source told RadarOnline.com.

The 74-year-old Vermont senator, twice-married and the father of a “love child,” penned smutty essays that were published in the early 1970s during a stint as a freelance journalist.

In a 1972 writing that he has called a piece of fiction, Bernie described sick sexual fantasies of men and women.

“A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy,” he wrote. “A woman on her knees. A woman tied up. A woman abused. A woman enjoys intercourse with her man — as she fantasizes being raped by three men simultaneously.”

He also wrote that 6-month-old babies should be allowed to romp naked on beaches where they can “see each other’s sexual organs, and maybe even touch them.”

He also confessed a fascination with articles about sexual assaults on kids.

“Do you know why [porn magazines] with the articles like ‘Girl 12 raped by 14 men’ sell so well?” he asked. “To what in us are they appealing?”

And as an outspoken Vermont congressman, he opposed 2003 measures that cracked down on pedophiles who travel overseas to prey on kids, and voted against outlawing some Internet child porn.

Shadow, you’re actually the one constantly complaining about the state of things in this country – and denigrating other Americans in a way that the Founders would have thought disgraceful (Note that in the Senate that they created, Sen. Sanders is accorded respect even by his colleagues on the other side of the aisle, including when they disagree). The Founders were well-studied and logical, and knew the importance of learning from history and its errors – the Constitution itself grew out of acknowledgment of the shortcomings and failures of the Articles of Confederation. There is nothing wrong with noting, as the Founders who opposed slavery did regarding a trade and practice they labeled disgraceful and abominable, that a terrible mistake was made that ended up shamefully hard and costly to rectify.

Besides, you’re really just going down the road there of fallacious strawman argumentation (if it can be called that – it’s much in the form of an appeal to emotion) and non-sequiturs – just the sort of thing that sloppy-minded cultists do. If you went to college, you should have studied logic, writing, and research – and, apparently, American history.

Your logical fallacy is: strawman
“You misrepresented someone’s argument to make it easier to attack.
By exaggerating, misrepresenting, or just completely fabricating someone’s argument, it’s much easier to present your own position as being reasonable, but this kind of dishonesty serves to undermine honest rational debate.”

https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/strawman

see also: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

NOTE how “pride” is cited in the following:

Your logical fallacy is: appeal to emotion
“You attempted to manipulate an emotional response in place of a valid or compelling argument.
Appeals to emotion include appeals to fear, envy, hatred, pity, pride, and more. It’s important to note that sometimes a logically coherent argument may inspire emotion or have an emotional aspect, but the problem and fallacy occurs when emotion is used instead of a logical argument, or to obscure the fact that no compelling rational reason exists for one’s position. Everyone, bar sociopaths, is affected by emotion, and so appeals to emotion are a very common and effective argument tactic, but they’re ultimately flawed, dishonest, and tend to make one’s opponents justifiably emotional.”
