Ben Myers, the former Nxivm hacker, was, up until recently, gainfully employed by the Communist Party-backed BrainCo in Boston, Massachusetts for about one year.
He left recently under suspicious circumstances.
BrainCo, ostensibly one of China’s leading import and export companies, is involved in the Brain Machine Interface and Artificial Intelligence industry.
They are distributing Focus 1 products, a wearable headband that detects and supposedly accurately quantifies students’ attention levels in the classroom.
It works in conjunction with Focus EDU, a classroom portal for teachers to supposedly assess the effectiveness of their teaching methods in real time and make adjustments accordingly while student’s brains are being monitored.
I received the following from sources at BrainCo:

“Your exposures are highlighting the dangers of unregulated psychological torture and the need for informed consent and data protection for all human subject experiments.
Thank you on behalf of all bio-potential measurement professionals. Your work makes it much easier for us to keep the unaccountable executive caste responsible when it comes to public safety.”
I was also contacted by phone and by email by sources who gave me the following information:
Ben apparently while working at BrainCo is up to some of his old antics.
The company has been seeking Child Research subjects aged 10-17. He was a project manager.
He tried to monopolize the company’s EEG data access to himself,
The management never informed employees about the history of Myers or the potential of network security threats he posed.
Myers’ reported vector is password capture through keystroke logger viruses.
Employees were not instructed to change their passwords.
The EEG experiments Myers was in charge of were worrisome to some employees once they found out who he was through articles published on the Frank Report.
There were multiple reports of sexual and workplace harassment by Myers that seem to have been ignored.
The company has been advertising for children to get their EEG scans.
The company is seeking to get more than one million EEG recordings.
The management is associated with the Chinese Communist Party, the United Front and other Chinese Government front groups.
The company employs NDAs that are similar to Nxivm.

Great story. It’s fascinating to see some follow-up on what ex NXians are up to.
I’d love to know exactly what it was of NXIVM “tech” that Myers was pitching as somehow useful. Generally, as indicated by the sort of work that members tended to do, it was mostly focused on motivation, promotion and sales, nothing truly technical, and certainly not in terms of brain function except for the hypnotic influence techniques taken from NLP.
I’m more concerned that BrainCo is all too typical of the connections between Chinese businesses and their repressive government, and that in the US we’re giving power to private corporations, some of them of a size and level of influence equivalent to a national government, that we would never give to government itself – and in fact, branches of government are now buying information aggregated by private corporations, that they are prohibited from collecting themselves.

There are already several other strains of coronavirus circulating around the world. This is merely a new strain that people don’t have much immunity against. It is not particularly fatal, except for the usual young, old, and immunity system challenged. The bottom line is we don’t know where it came from and I doubt very much China is going to be honest about it. There are plenty of known issues with China, we don’t have to imagine others that probably cannot be verified.

My question is, why would any company, even a startup give Ben Myers such an important position?
What kind of resume or references could Ben Myers possibly have had?
Who posted the random comment on electronics weekly and why? Why not contact law enforcement? Why bother posting something random and not well written?
Nothing adds up. After looking at the founders of the company, I believe this startup is just a shell company to defraud investors or for logistical espionage ie collecting data and making contacts with academics.

Ben Myers’ only real skill appears to be hacking computers.

What makes you think BrainCo hired Myers for that purpose?
Myers may not have had as important a position as it might seem – the description of his role, could be more that of a network administrator and data manager – or he may have worked his way into it after starting at something more mundane.
Tech companies tend to hire people based on skills and abilities, are sometimes desperate to get anyone who has relevant experience without exorbitant salary requirements, and then will promote those who can perform – or play the corporate game. I’ve read that Myers was in Texas before Massachusetts, so he must have had at least one job in between that he could have used as a primary reference, and probably obscured his earlier connections to NXIVM by using the name of one of their shell companies. I don’t think it’s necessarily suspicious or strange.
