The Rape Case Against Nithyananda Should Be Dropped — If They Had Sex, She Obviously Wanted It!

By Marie White

Nithyananda Swami is accused of raping a woman named Aarthi Rao some 40 times over a period of five years.  There are three arguments that suggest the criminal accusation is false.

Aarthi Rao, alleged victim of rape.

Nithyananda

Potency Test

Nithyananda had a sexual potency test taken at Victoria Hospital in Chennai, done supposedly under strict medical supervision. The results have been released and reportedly entered into evidence in his rape case.

The test shows Nithyananda has a testosterone level that precludes his having sex. and that this has been the case since before the alleged five-year span of rapes began.

The test reveals he has a lower testosterone level than a child and, additionally, lack of blood flow, anorchidism, and hypogonadism make it impossible for him to have penile penetration.

Blood flow, hypogonadism, and anorchidism are measured independently of testosterone levels.  The test was reportedly studied by a government appointed panel and a private panel of experts and it was unanimously concluded that the Swami is not physically capable of having sex.

It has been argued that there are other kinds of rape, that he could have forcibly held her and assaulted her with his tongue or a flaccid penis. But this is not what the alleged victim claims.  She said she was raped by a virile man with full penetration more than 40 times.

STDs

The alleged victim, Aarthi Rao’s purportedly authentic medical records from the University of Michigan were released as part of discovery in a civil lawsuit in Michigan State Court. They show that Aarthi Rao has STDs including a longstanding case of contagious genital herpes.

Nithyananda also reportedly took a test, which shows he is 100 percent STD free.

If this is true, could Nithyananda have had 40 rape sessions with Aarthi Rao, all unprotected, as she claims, and not contract herpes from Aarthi Rao? According to medical reports, she has had herpes for more than a decade.

According to Jill A. Grimes, MD,  “Herpes is always potentially contagious, whether or not you see blisters…. Even if there are no visible lesions, herpes can be spread through a process known as shedding. During shedding, the herpes virus is active on the skin, usually where the person has had symptoms before. As a result, any type of genital, oral, or skin-to-skin contact with the virus may transmit it. There is no way to know when another person is shedding, but safer sex practices significantly minimize the risk of contracting herpes.”

The alleged victim, Aarthi Rao claims the tests that show she has genital herpes are fake. However, the Indian courts have accepted these records as authentic.

Common Sense

Aarthi Rao claims she was raped repeatedly over a period of five years.  She lived in Michigan during the rape period and had to leave the US and come to India where she alleges she was raped.

Even if she was raped the first time, it is undisputed that she continued to visit the ashram of Nithyananda.

If she chose not to tell anyone of being raped, as many fearful victims do, why did she choose to go back?

She did not live with Nithyananda. She lived with her husband in the US. She came periodically to visit the ashram in India where Nithyananda lived.

Her emails show she had to argue with her husband to get permission to come to India to stay at the ashram.  Sometimes her husband did not permit her to go and she was despondent.  Why would she be despondent about being forbidden to go and get raped?

Most victims would avoid their rapist if they could, even if they do not tell authorities.

Instead she fought to get back.  She lied to her husband. She never told him she was raped during the five year period of her alleged rapes.

It defies reasonable credulity and speaks to this being, as some people say, a purely political prosecution.

No rape victim keeps coming back for five years.  It’s not as if the rapist and his victim lived in the same house and she had no option but to tolerate being raped again and again out of fear or lack of means to escape.

She did not have to escape him. She had to escape her husband to get raped.  She had to make extraordinary efforts and undertake international travel to get to her alleged rapist.

We have seen emails that show her husband did not want her to leave and go to Nithyananda.  All she had to do was to not come to India and to his ashram to avoid being raped. But she did not.

She fought with her husband to get to India and get raped.

This is what Aarthi Rao wants us to believe.

Obviously, if there was sex, she wanted it.  That is so clear that it boggles the mind that anyone could think this is a reasonable prosecution and not a political prosecution.

Something must have changed for Aarthi Rao that made her want to file a charge of rape against her former guru. Perhaps she saw an opportunity to profit.

Nithyananda claims he is a life long celibate and the tests suggest he cannot have sex.  Perhaps the tests are fake. Perhaps Aarthi Rao’s herpes tests are also fake.

But one thing is not fake. It is based on her own admissions: A woman flew halfway across the world to keep getting raped and spending her and her husband’s money to go back and get raped!

I think it interesting that her husband left her after finding out she had sex, [or was raped].

He is not a disciple of Nithyananda. I suspect he did not believe her when she said she kept going back and getting raped?

Nithyananda with his rape accuser Aarthi Rao. Aarthi Rao is well over the age of consent, highly educated, has traveled abroad extensively and has knowledge about worldly affairs. If there was forcible intercourse, why didn’t she make a complaint at an earlier point in time?

He may have thought she was lying and that she wanted to have sex with Nithyananda.  Think about this. She flies to India from America. She has sex with her guru/lover 40 times over 5 years on numerous, separate trips.

Her husband finds out she has herpes. He is angry. She tells him she was raped by Nithyananda and that is how she got herpes.

He does not buy it and decides to leave her. He remembers the fights they had, with her pleading and demanding to got to India. And when she came back she did not act as if she were raped. She could not wait to go back again.

Why did she charge rape?

Nithyananda is wealthy. It might be a financial incentive, or perhaps, as likely, she had to defend herself from claims of adultery by charging rape.

In India, adultery is look down upon far more than it is in the USA.  Her family is from India and live there still. After her husband left her, she has returned to India.  She had motive to lie and offers an implausible story.

The rape case against Nithyananda should be dropped.

An idiotic report by someone who knows nothing of what actually happened and has merely vomited erroneous information found online

Nithyananda on the run since 2018!

This article is a classic case of victim shaming. Another random writing to support idiots like Nithyananda. Your article is purely based on hearsay(some half baked info thrown here and there). The victim in this case, does not have STD. All the medical reports have been fabricated (pretty much like how Nithyananda got a random lab to confirm that his sex video with Ranjitha was morphed.Another blatant lie)
Suggest you do your due research before publishing random articles such as these, aka spend some time reading about what kind of an asshole Nithyananda is, unless you are like some of his delusional followers. This man has a history of committing all sort of crimes and has been on the run from the law enforcement agencies since 2018. Shame on you for supporting a criminal.
Let me repeat, do your research before shamelessly support an idiot.

I’m gonna say (out loud) what most readers of FR are thinking, since Frank obviously doesn’t get the message.

We’re not racists here, but we don’t really care about Frank’s newfound interest in posting a bunch of articles about “Swamis” or “Yogis” or “Nithyanandas” or other Indian gurus. It’s like a sleep aid.

I go to sleep when reading these Indian guru articles. I never read them in full. I can only manage skimming them quickly, just a few sentences here and there.

As much as I hate ShadowState’s ‘Allison’ articles —- I’d much rather read another ShadowState ‘Allison’ article than to read another article about these Indian gurus or Swamis.

Stop boring us to death, Frank.

You out of touch mother fucker. You company boy. You closet liberal.

Before all the do-gooders come rushing to Marie’s defense by calling me ‘racist’ (and the usual left wing tripe) I’m just saying that Frank is not gonna increase his readership by posting these boring articles that few people can relate to.

Why? …Because these Indian gurus (and the women who follow them) are a bunch of weirdos that just don’t relate to our culture.

I honestly don’t care about these Indian guru stories or the purported victims in them.

If this gal fornicated with him for 5 years then she was probably expecting a promotion to his top harem queen, I doubt it was rape.

IMO she probably got pissed off when she found out that she was just another piece of ass to him (one of many) — and that’s probably why she’s calling it ‘rape’ now.

I just don’t care about this purported victim, Frank. I don’t believe it was rape. I believe she wanted to fuck him for ‘status’ (within the cult) and she got pissed off when she found out that she was being used for sex.

Reading these Indian guru articles is almost a form of mental torture for your readers.

Yeah, I understand that I have the option not to read them —- which is why I don’t read them, I only skim them quickly before I fall asleep.

Yeah, I also understand that I have the option not to even click on them — and to just ignore them.

But even seeing these articles on the main page makes me cringe. It looks like FR is being turned into something weird.

I’d rather see articles on Scientology or Amway (but NOT articles written by Scooter Johnson, since that dude puts people to sleep with his repetitive tripe about Amway and his uninteresting writing style) —– but Frank seems to lack the balls to post about these topics, so instead of that we get “Swami” articles from gurus that nobody cares about.

Or maybe articles on why Justin Trudeau WENT BACK ON HIS PROMISE to accept refugees from Haiti who were crossing over from the US border — and why he’s being racist by stopping them from entering Canada now. …and why people like Flowers are SUPPORTING that racist regime in Canada, even though they criticize Trump for the same things.

Grow a pair of balls, Frank, and stop picking the low hanging fruit.

Where do you get your information from? This victim shaming and falsified evidence is obviously the drivel shelled out by the cult of Nithyananda…. do some better research and talk to the actual victims, not the mouthpieces of an absconded disgraceful fraud. Aarthi Rao didn’t “want it.” She was brainwashed into believing it was her karmic obligation. By your logic, Patti Hurst also “wanted” to be a member of a militant group bent on destroying her family… You could benefit from watching Leah Remini’s docuseries on Scientology for a better understanding of life for cult victims.

While I agree with Bangkok and don’t give two shits about this case, I am also at a loss for words as to why I am reading it or commenting on it.

Anyway, I think this could all be a set up. The person that gains the most out of this is that Nithyananda dude. Now he has a legal argurment that he is celibate, which probably plays into some mind fucking exercise he has going on with his followers. So I think this is all bullshit with a dash of I just don’t give a damn thrown in.

It’s quick and easy to crack a cankle joke. Reading an extremely long article about a couple Indians f*cking each other ain’t. You say all kinds of stupid things. LOL

Don’t forget the difficulty in reading an “extremely long article”. How dare Frank publish long articles. Poor special Johnson needs a dumbed down supplemental article to follow along to.

Marie, you make a good case here on the basic facts.

As I’ve pointed out previously, expert research has shown that victims of trauma, including rape, can indeed act counter-intuitively, including maintaining contact with, or even returning to, perpetrators and abusers – though I will grant that if the woman really took something like 40 separate trips over 5 years, it’s stretch to put her behavior in the category.

However, what about the issue of consent with someone believed to be the incarnation of a god? How does a woman say “no,” if her god – who she believes controls her eternity of future lives – tells her “yes, you will”? And if she realizes years later, that it was not a true godman (as the Indians call them) but a conman, doesn’t she then at least have some justification for claiming she’s been violated?

I’m not sure how a woman would say no to her God. Worshiping humans as personal God’s is like the purest form of love to their culture. I imagine their love making was beautiful and an enlightening experience for both of them. People believe in their own truth. Either way, there’s no evidence that this “Swami” raped this married woman. If a woman finds out she’s making love to a conman and not a Godman, that does not make it rape. The only violation [not crime] here is against her husband and the falsely accused Nithyananda. Although I think false accusations of rape should be punished criminally.
And I also think if the accused rapist is named, the alleged victim should be named. That’s fair and is in keeping with innocent until proven guilty.

—Worshiping humans as personal God’s is like the purest form of love to their culture.

The only thing it is pure of is pure stupidity. That anyone can believe any human is a god, let alone the one and only God, is outright rebellion against their God-given intellect.

Where do you draw the line? When do we start to treat women as adults, not babies? So a woman can be raped because she thinks the man is God and then finds out he is flawed. Suppose she thinks he is just great and finds out he is flawed? or suppose she just thinks he is good and finds out he is not good? Where do you draw the line? I’m your guru. You want to fuck me and later I am not your guru so it’s rape?
Grow up women? And by the way, do you think it should be reversed? If a woman was a guru and her disciple willingly fucks her, even thinking that it is for spiritual pruposes and later finds out that she is not God but just a woman. Is it rape when an adult man voluntarily has sex with his guru?

Or does it only count with weak, little tiny brained women?

I hate this idea that women are supposed to be so tiny brained and emotionally infantile that they can consent to sex when it pleases them and then retroactively withdraw consent because they learned something about the person they agreed to have sex with that did not please them and then it is rape.

Aarthi Rao wanted to have sex with Nithyananda and at that moment he was not guru and she disciple – they were man and woman consenting, probably enjoying their action.

Retroactive withdrawal of consent is not only unfair for the man, but unfair for women for it assumes that they are imbeciles.

What you have said has been my perception, too. So far as Aarthi Rao claiming to have been “raped,” I think that she has been deceptive about her personal involvement with Nithyananda, for whatever reasons of her own.

Since Raniere had carnal relations with numerous women and he did not like using condoms, how many STDs do Raniere and his many, many sexual partners have?

If they got herpes from Raniere it was not normal herpes. It has a divine feature to it. Believe me herpes have noble and evil characteristics just like people do. Herpes that Keith had are Divine or semi-Divine. Just because a herpes is small it is not without sentience. Trust me, herpes from Keith is like winning the lottery.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
