Qasem Soleimania Was a Legitimate US Military Target for Extermination

Photo/Nasser Nasser)

Qasem Soleimani was an Iranian major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and, from 1998 until his death, commander of its Quds Force, a division primarily responsible for extraterritorial military and clandestine operations. The US Department of Defense confirmed it killed Soleimani. There are some Americans who think that it was immoral that President Trump ordered his assassination.

By Mary Beth

Let’s have some straight talk on #Soleimani, shall we?

1. Suleimani took command of the Quds Force over 20 years ago and his job was to reshape the Middle East in Iran’s favor: thru military force, by assassinating rivals and arming allies.

2. His twenty year focus was directing a network of militant groups that killed hundreds of U.S in #Iraq and others.

3. I know of only ONE American who has ever met him, John Maguire. He described him as soft-spoken yet the most powerful man in the Middle East.  Thoughtful, strategic, smart, charismatic – 100% dedicated.

4. He personally ran Iran’s war in Syria and brought in thousands of Quds Force when Assad’s army began to fail.

5. Suleimani and Nasrallah of Hezbollah Lebanon are old friends and cooperate globally where Hezbollah has performed terrorist acts at Iran’s behest.

6. His power came from his impeccable revolutionary credentials and his close relationship with Khamenei, The Supreme Leader, who has referred to Suleimani as “a living martyr of the revolution.” [he is now a ‘deceased martyr’]. Suleimani is a hard-line supporter of Iran’s authoritarian system but is rich and has built the IRGC into an economic powerhouse.

7. He hated Israel and Jews and was well known to its intelligence services as a superbly effective operative; in some ways, he was both hated and admired.

8. Suleimani orchestrated terrorist attacks in places as far-flung as Thailand, New Delhi, Argentina, Lagos, and Nairobi— at least fifty attempts in the past 20 years. The most notorious was in 2011 against #SA Ambass AdelalJubeir when Iran hired a drug cartel to blow him up at in D.C.  Suleimani’s agent turned out to be a #DEA informant

9. Suleimani was pragmatic. He worked indirectly with Ryan Crocker of State Dept in helping the U.S target the Taliban and in selecting Shia officials for the new Iraqi Gov’t.

10. That cooperation was short-lived, however. In 2004, the Quds Force began flooding Iraq with “explosively formed projectiles “ that accounted for nearly twenty per cent of U.S Iraq combat deaths. Roadside E.F.P.s were made by skilled technicians in Iran and were supplied by Qods Force. They also resulted in tens of thousands of maimed U.S and Iraqi soldiers.

11. In recent years, the IRGC has posted social media videos of Soleimani directing attacks in Mosul and against Iraqi Kurd forces. He traveled widely and had unprecedented autonomy in carrying out his military-terrorist mandate.

12. Those who refer to his death as “political assassination” of a “foreign official” are either grossly ill-informed or willfully blind. In my experience, his involvement in targeting U.S military personnel alone made him a legitimate target of at least TWO U.S Presidents.

Although Donald Trump is the first to have succeeded, on at least two occasions of which I am aware, previous operations in other administrations were canceled due to intel or other complicating factors.

11. Given the prominence of Soleimani in all of Iran’s extra-territorial operations, both military and civilians have considered the implications of directing operations against him on multiple occasions, including 2nd and 3rd order impacts/retaliation from various adversaries.

12. I hope this is useful. There is an excellent profile of Soleimani from Dexter Filkins @NewYorker from 2013 that gave a good feel for Soleimani, using excellent sources.

There is one thing that is guaranteed to bring out the best in all patriotic Americans — that is an attack on the homeland by a hostile foreign government. A good illustration of this was when the Godless Communists attempted to attack America in 1962, and they received the traitorous assistance of US President John Kennedy. One little problem — it was actually the US military that planned to conduct attacks on American cities and it was US President John Kennedy that stopped them, which may have been one factor that led to his assassination.

This is something that chest-thumping flag-waving patriots like Mary Beth don’t want you to see — it is the actual documents that details the plans of the US military to attack American cities and to blame it on Cuba so that they would have an excuse to get a war going with Cuba. If confronted with this information they will just call this “fake news” and denounce you as a “liberal” or “traitor” and because they are hoping you will get so angry that you will see red and go marching off to war in a foreign country so that it can be subjugated for the benefit of some corporate interests.

—————————————–
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Northwoods

Operation Northwoods memorandum (13 March 1962)[1]

Lyman L. Lemnitzer, who was in charge as the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
Operation Northwoods was a proposed false flag operation against the Cuban government that originated within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) of the United States government in 1962. The proposals called for the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) or other U.S. government operatives to commit acts of terrorism against military targets and give the appearance of terrorism against American citizens[2], blaming them on the Cuban government, and using it to justify a war against Cuba. The possibilities detailed in the document included the possible assassination of Cuban immigrants, sinking boats of Cuban refugees on the high seas[2], hijacking planes to be shot down or given the appearance of being shot down[2], blowing up a U.S. ship, and orchestrating violent terrorism in U.S. cities.[3] The proposals were rejected by President John F. Kennedy.[4][5][6]

Communists led by Fidel Castro had taken power in Cuba in 1959, which aroused the concern of the U.S. military due to the Cold War. The operation proposed creating public support for a war against Cuba by blaming it for terrorist acts that would actually be perpetrated by the U.S. Government.[1][7] To this end, Operation Northwoods proposals recommended hijackings and bombings followed by the introduction of phony evidence that would implicate the Cuban government. It stated:

The desired resultant from the execution of this plan would be to place the United States in the apparent position of suffering defensible grievances from a rash and irresponsible government of Cuba and to develop an international image of a Cuban threat to peace in the Western Hemisphere.

Several other proposals were included within Operation Northwoods, including real or simulated actions against various U.S. military and civilian targets. The operation recommended developing a “Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities and even in Washington”.

The plan was drafted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, signed by Chairman Lyman Lemnitzer and sent to the Secretary of Defense. Although part of the U.S. government’s anti-communist Cuban Project, Operation Northwoods was never officially accepted; it was authorized by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, but then rejected by President John F. Kennedy. According to currently released documentation, none of the operations became active under the auspices of the Operation Northwoods proposals

Yeah sure. Every country says their enemy is a legitimate target for assassination. Like governments have never lied to people in the past. Get your heads out of your asses. None of these puppet politicians on strings and their oligarchic masters give a shit about you or what is right. They’ll do whatever and kill whoever to get what they want while you’ll suck up their lame rationalizations like the lapdogs you are. Don’t make me laugh with the term “legitimate”. Look at Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Yemen, etc. They’re all wastelands because of Saudi/Israeli/US/another country power hungry psychopaths who spew platitudes freedoms while the two faced caricatures of human beings are filling their coffers and lust for control under the table on the blood of millions. Look how many US military bases surround Iran. How many Iranian military bases surround the US? Iran is one of the few remaining countries without a supranationally controlled central bank of those who hide in the shadows trading fiat/computer currency for real wealth, e.g., oil, minerals, gas, etc. But you dumbed down idiots fed on MTV, useless entertainment, and a sex obsessed culture will buy whatever moronic stories these clowns tell you as long as the Pavlovian freedom bell rings. The justifiable execution of the terrorist General Qaseem Salami was long overdue.

In 2009 an Islamic radical named Nidal Hassan butchered 13 American soldiers in cold blood at Fort Hood, Texas.
Hassan was found guilty of multiple murders.

It is high time for President Trump to execute this Islamic terrorist.
And let the Benedict Arnold Democrats complain to their Allah about “Trump the War Criminal.”

“Nidal Malik Hasan (born September 8, 1970) is a former American Army Major convicted of killing 13 people and injuring more than 30 others in the Fort Hood mass shooting on November 5, 2009.[3] Hasan was a United States Army Medical Corps psychiatrist who admitted to the shootings at his court-martial in August 2013.[4][5] A jury panel of 13 officers convicted him of 13 counts of premeditated murder, 32 counts of attempted murder, and unanimously recommended he be dismissed from the service and sentenced to death.[6][7][8] Hasan is incarcerated at the United States Disciplinary Barracks at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas awaiting execution.”

Frank has done a disservice to his readers for blindly posting inaccurate information from Mary Beth without doing a verification check first. If what Mary Beth is true, then US General Tommy Franks should have been assassinated as well!Mary Beth claims the following, in spite of it being blatantly untrue:

—————–

—————–

Let’s do a reality check to see if Mary Beth’s claims in bullet points #2 and #3 are true. In 2001 Iran supported the U.S. invasion of Afghanistan. It used its good relations with the Hazara Militia and the anti-Taliban Northern Alliance, which both the CIA and Iran had supplied for years, to support the U.S. operation. The Wikipedia entry for the 2001 uprising in Herat lists U.S. General Tommy Franks and General Qassem Soleimani as allied commanders https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_uprising_in_Herat

The collaboration ended in 2002 after George W. Bush named Iran as a member of his “Axis of Evil”.

In 2015 the U.S. and Iran again collaborated. This time to defeat ISIS in Iraq. During the battle to liberate Tikrit the U.S. air force flew in support of General Soleimani’s ground forces. Newsweek reported at that time: https://www.newsweek.com/iranian-military-mastermind-leading-battle-recapture-tikrit-isis-311516

Thanks for correcting that. So is it safe to say that Iran, up until 2002, wasn’t trying to destabilize the Middle East; but rather, was acting as an ally to us? That’s news to me!

Or maybe Soleimani operated under that “an enemy of my enemy” adage that is so prevalent in the Middle East with its fluid, shifting alliances.

Ho Chi Minh rescued downed American pilots in WW2, but became our enemy a decade later. Alliances are political.

The fact is that Iran has been trying to assert dominance in the ME since the 1979 Revolution. How many times have they threatened to hijack the Strait of Hormuz. The fact that Soleimani was directing the death of American military personnel in Iraq makes him a combatant. What’s the difference in killing him as opposed to killing Admiral Yamamoto in WW2?

And your argument that “General Tommy Franks should have been assassinated too”. What they hell are you even talking about? That’s not even a cohesive idea.

The filthy traitor Obama is the reason for the season

2015 article published by The Telegraph, Suleimani was taken off the list of proscribed Iranians alongside a number of senior members of the Revolutionary Guards.

Note the article date – Suliemani granted amnesty.https://t.co/O7GF4bllZq pic.twitter.com/xJkNU0RWCE
— Raven 🇦🇺 (@Raven_Shaven) January 5, 2020
Telegraph.co.uk reports: Qassem Suleimani, the head of the elite Quds Force in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards, fully deserves his reputation as one of the world’s leading terrorist masterminds.

For a decade a more he has been the driving force behind an array of Iranian-sponsored terrorist groups, from Hizbollah to Hamas, which have orchestrated a reign of terror throughout the Middle East.

From a purely British perspective, he was responsible for training and equipping the Shia militias in southern Iraq who killed scores of British troops during the dark days of Iraq’s sectarian conflict following the overthrow of Saddam Hussein, and was reported to have trained the Taliban in the art of making deadly roadside bombs that killed and mutilated our Service personnel serving in southern Afghanista

So you can imagine my amazement when, leafing through the more obscure annexes of President Barack Obama’s “historic” deal with Iran (page 86 of the annex, to be precise), I found that Mr Suliemani – as the White House no doubt now refers to him – has been granted an amnesty and taken off the list of proscribed Iranians – together with a number of senior members of the Revolutionary Guards.

Thanks to Mr Obama’s scandalous capitulation to Tehran, Mr Suleimani has overnight gone from being one of the world’s most wanted terrorists to the White House’s newest best friend.

This is just one of the many troubling indications contained in the detail of the accord struck in Vienna between the P5 +1 and Tehran – that’s the official line, of course. The reality is this shoddy deal was worked out between the ayatollahs and the White House, with countries like Britain – which used to take a robust view of Iran’s endless procrastinations on its nuclear activities – left impotent on the sidelines.

Another example of the craven concessions the White House had made to Tehran is the way future inspections will handled. Iran’s disinclination to make full and transparent disclosures on its nuclear programme is well-documented. Given the opportunity to cheat, they will do so. Which is why inspections by qualified teams of nuclear inspectors is so important.

Only from now on the onus will be on the West to make the case that Iran is not playing by the rules by handing over its intelligence to prove so. For under the terms of the accord, we must “justify” the need for inspections, which in effect means handing over all the intelligence we have on Iran’s illicit activities. Of course Iran has been desperate to find out how Western intelligence learned about the existence of nuclear enrichment sites like Natanz and Fordow and, if we comply with the requirements set out in the accord to the letter, this is what will happen, with all the implications that will have for all our sources who risk their lives to tell us the truth about what the regime is up to.

If I were Suleimani, I’d be organising an enormous party right now to celebrate a deal that is truly a “historic victory” for Tehran.

Re Killing Soleimania:

Killing Soleimania was a waste of time. Someone else more aggressive or intelligent may take his place.

Does anyone actually believe a Islamic theocracy thinks logically? Do think the lunatics are frightened now?

Question:
Why did the Israelis allow Yasser Arafat to live?… Israel can kill any individual Palestinian living in Palestine it wants.

Answer:
Because the devil you know is sometimes preferable to the devil you don’t know. Arafat was logical/reasonable to the alternatives.

Who is the US going to have to deal with next?

I could give a rats ass that they killed that total asshole. I hope it turns out to be the right move.

From the Persian perspective almost any US politician from both the Republican and Democratic parties are now legitimate targets for assassination. I am using the word “Persian” here rather than “Iranian” to highlight the fact that Iran has been known as Persia for thousands of years, to distinguish them from other countries in the Middle East which are Arabic. Persians are not Arabs.

Let’s turn things around and look at it from the Persian perspective. The US has been interfering with Persia since 1953 by constantly working to install puppet governments. We can start with the CIA overthrow of the Democratically elected leader Mohammad Mosaddegh whom they overthrew on behalf of British oil companies

_________________
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammad_Mosaddegh

Many Iranians regard Mosaddegh as the leading champion of secular democracy and resistance to foreign domination in Iran’s modern history. Following an initial, failed coup attempt by the CIA/MI6-backed General Fazlollah Zahedi, Mosaddegh resigned four days later on 19 August 1953, with Zahedi succeeding him as prime minister.[7]

While the coup is at times referred to in the West as Operation Ajax[8] after its CIA cryptonym, in Iran it is referred to as the 28 Mordad 1332 Coup d’état, after its date on the Iranian calendar.[9] Mosaddegh was imprisoned for three years, then put under house arrest until his death and was buried in his own home so as to prevent a political furor.[10][11][12] In 2013, the U.S. government formally acknowledged the U.S. role in the coup, as a part of its foreign policy initiatives.[13]
_________________

What Mary Beth will not tell you is that Solemeini was effectively fighting ISIS and Al Qaeda in Syria and Iraq. What Mary Beth conveniently forget to tell you that ISIS and Al Qaeda are actually supported by Saudi Arabia, Israel, and the US, contrary to their propaganda in which they pretend to fight ISIS and Al Qaeda. Also, Mary Beth conveniently forgot to tell you that QUDS forces were allied with the US government in the past in Iraq.

Persians have known for decades that the US has been double-crossing and triple-crossing them and causing problems inside their country. What’s different now is that Iraqis have now experienced this double-crossing first hand with a setup to lure Solemeini on a pretense peace mission with Iraq and Saudi Arabia at the request of Trump, only to see the US whack Solemeini and Iraqi government officials in a mob-style hit. Having seen this, Iraqis are furious and want the US out, which has led to Trump demanding they pay billions of dollars for unwanted military bases the US built and will leave behind.

Since both political parties in the US have taken turns in provoking wars with Persian, the Persians likely now see every single Republican and Democratic figure as legitimate targets. I’m sure their list includes Lindsey Graham, John Bolton, Mike Pompeo, Nancy Pelosi, Charles Schumer, Mitchell McConnell, Ted Cruz, as well as any US diplomat and high ranking military officer. They may even have people like Sheldon Adelson on their target list as well. People in the US think all these politicians fight each other and are “enemies”, but from the Persian perspective all they see is one big gang of modern day pillaging Vikings.

Mary Beth won’t tell you this either, but Benjamin Netanyahu is now running away from this and blaming Trump. Trump screwed the pooch on this one when he decided to believe the government’s own propaganda.

I agree with your history, anonymous, but I wouldn’t say that the US Forces and Quds were allies. They had a common enemy, but once that common enemy was eradicated, the Quds were not going to celebrate with their American “allies” like the Brits and Americans did after WW2.

Lets take a brief look at the actors operating in the Middle East: Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, Russia, Israel, and the US. Now break it down further along ethnic and religious lines, you have Sunni Arabs, Shia Arabs, Shia Persians, Kurds, Turks. Then you have a myriad of terrorist organization such as ISIS, Al Qaida, Al Nusrah, Hezbollah, etc. You have Syrian rebels fighting in their civil war. And that’s not even a complete list, as I thought of them off the top of my head.

Then you have Turkey, a NATO ally, fighting the Kurds. Then you have the Russians trying to influence the area, aligning sometimes with Turkey.

I don’t think that Vanguard, the 3rd smartest man in the world, could figure that mess out! Well, maybe he can, but he’s in jail formulating his appeal.

I am sure the Vanguard can end the 2000 years of violence that has plagued the Middle East.

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
