Almost no one actually cares about who in Vancouver was really responsible for all the recruiting, and so that’s not actually the agenda of the people claiming that they are focusing on Kristin Kreuk because of accountability.
So, as for Kreuk, what are the “reasons specific to her”?

Kreuk is actually pretty far down the list of people to be held accountable just in Vancouver – especially considering those who stayed in and made online videos promoting Keith Raniere and NXIVM, like Grace Park.
Grace Park disingenuously tried to erase her involvement in NXIVM and rarely gets mentioned.

I actually wrote this as a response to comments on another piece, and to some bitter ex-fanboys or whoever the obviously fixated commenters with other motives and agendas are.
To begin with, I’d say Kreuk’s case is actually quite similar to that of Grace Park – someone almost no one bothers to call out. Park was another Yellow Sash coach and even did quite a few online videos with/for Raniere, and only cut ties much later, in the wake of the great expose’ of 2017, after which she made quite an effort to hide her involvement.
Does Park really somehow deserve a pass for having made her “propaganda” effort to re-write history behind the scenes rather than in a tweet, by getting videos taken down and begging people not to write about her?
And, again, I thought the real issue was not about who remained silent publicly, or said or did something disingenuous or hypocritical, but who was using their public profile to recruit people into NXIVM. I think you’re trying to move the goalposts there.

It is a blatant attempt to divert attention from Allison Mack who played a crucial role in NXIVM DOS (The Vow) and ended up blackmailing dozens if not one hundred or more, women.
In all probability Kreuk’s father read the Albany Times-Union expose about Raniere and yanked his daughter out.
And the key question is how many of these Vancouver people listed in this story are just lying low until the storm passes.
There are already rumors that new people have been recruited into NXIVM.
Sometimes real or perceived persecution can actually strengthen a cult or movement.
Or it’s an attempt to divert attention from others in the Vancouver actor crowd who are as much if not more culpable.
And what supposed rumors are there about new people being recruited into NXIVM? That’s almost as preposterous as imagining that the Manson Family could attract new members.
I’m sure there are remaining diehards trying to figure out how they might possibly reorganize, or set up new fronts seemingly unconnected to Raniere and NXIVM, but their reputation is so toxic that will be virtually impossible. Some will almost certainly go on to do other things, but those will almost by necessity have to be divorced from Raniere, and the “tech” and materials now owned by the US government, and so will likely no more really be NXIVM, than NXIVM was Scientology or NLP.

Wrong again. Seeing as the Times Union expose came out in February 2012 and Kreuk was still with the NXIVM cult in 2016, means your assumption is 100% incorrect.
Kreuk wrote a letter stepping away from active involvement following the Times Union expose’ – and Nancy Salzman specifically attributed it to the bad press. That’s an inconvenient fact you completely fail to take into account.
Any later involvement was reduced to only a tiny fraction of what it once was – she did what, coached once or twice after a break of several years? And she never advanced any further in rank on the stripe path.
The thing to learn from that, is that it’s actually a fairly common pattern for someone breaking ties with a high control group or cult; it’s typically a gradual process, at least psychologically, and exiting members are vulnerable to being lured back in for a bit at some point. After all, we know that people often join out of needs such as a desire for meaning, and unless they find new activities and involvements in their life which completely fulfill that, they may experience longings for what the group once seemed to offer.
Why aren’t you “calling out the other cultists” then? How about the Lims, who are almost never mentioned, but who outranked Kreuk, meaning they almost certainly recruited more people, and were full involved until the end?
