In response to my article Allison Mack’s Acting Career is Now Over, LaLa Lad made this comment about Mack —

“Wrong, Shadow. Mack will work again, and here’s why. Show biz in America needs her. Not for talent or beauty, but for notoriety and FREE PUBLICITY.

“There are over 400 scripted shows on broadcast networks, cable, streaming etc—so how can they get viewers attention? They cast someone like Mack. Some viewers like you will loudly condemn her casting, while others (like some here) consider her a victim and say you criticizing her is victim shaming…but the controversy is publicity and gets eyeballs, just like here on the FR.

“Mack might be a guest on the Ellen show, or on a cable Ellen-wannabe, where she is lauded for fighting to regain her dignity after being wronged by an evil man. Maybe that’s her first step in hosting her own talk show, featuring victims of cults or Amway.

Notorious –Allison Mack will likely soon be heading off to federal prison. But when she gets out will she be in demand as a controversial actress? LaLa Lad thinks it could happen.

“And think of all the low budget movies most people don’t even know exist. But if they cast Mack they will get free publicity with all the controversy. Wouldn’t you like to see Mack in a low-budget slasher film, as the killer or the victim? The only place we won’t see Mack is as a guest on Kreuk’s Burden of Truth.”

Kristin Kreuk is a Canadian taxpayer-funded actress, who served as a Nxivm coach and whose membership in Nxivm was used to recruit women. But wil she welcome her former co-star and the woman she recruited into Nxivm – the bad luck actress Allison Mack?

But I disagree with LaLa Ld – they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. But it is not true.

There is such a thing as BAD PUBLICITY.

Why is it that no one has seen fit to put O. J. Simpson on TV or in the movies since his release from prison?

OJ Simpson has time on his hands. He appeared in several motion pictures – then he was charged with murder. Certainly he is as notorious – or more so – than Allison Mack – yet no one seems to want him to act in anything. Why not?

In an era of #metoo and female empowerment Allison Mack’s story is an embarrassment to Hollywood and to all decent people everywhere.

And Hollywood has no end of beautiful and talented actresses who don’t carry Allison Mack’s considerable baggage.

Allison Mack had her day in the sun and she blew it.

And LaLaLad you forget that in the Lifetime story about NXIVM Hollywood already has a good replacement for Allison Mack.
An actress named Sarah Fletcher.

Allison Mack with her lawyers William F. McGovern [l] and Sean S. Buckley [r]. “Prior to her arrest on the instant charges, Ms. Mack had no criminal history,” Mack’s lawyers said in a letter in August, 2018. “While the instant charges have deprived her of pursuing her acting career, Ms. Mack nevertheless is interested in contributing to society.” In April 2019, she pleaded guilty to two felonies — racketeering and racketeering conspiracy. The most serious charge against her — sex trafficking was dropped in exchange for her plea deal.

In fact there are several projects in the works about NXIVM and Allison Mack will NOT star in any of them except as a demented character played by other, more talented actresses.

I will focus on just one of these projects because of the production company making it and its ties to the US Government.

One of the NXIVM projects is a TV show by Annapurna TV based on the New York Times stories. Annapurna is a very special production company. It is owned by a young woman named Meghan Ellison.

Because of her family’s ties to the CIA, Meghan Ellison’s Annapurna company received lots of government cooperation in filming “Zero Dark Thirty” the official US government narrative of the execution of Osama Bin Laden.

If it is ever made, the Annapurna project will be the government’s official version of NXIVM.

Allison Mack’s friend and co-conspirator Clare Bronfman flew all of the way to Vancouver to contact the Vancouver police to intimidate and terrorize Sarah Edmondson who had defected from NXIVM.

The only way to deal with the NXIVM blackmailers and extortionists is to give them the same kind of treatment and persecution that NXIVM dealt out on a regular basis for years.

I agree. I’ve stopped coming to this site on a regular basis.

I’m not sure if Miss Shadow State actually chooses the names for her posts. I know when I’ve submitted comments that became posts, silly titles which had nothing to do with the subject, and which I had not intended were added without my knowledge.

I frequently get the feeling someone is trying to create a level of public opinion against Alison Mack, where suing Alison Mack for — I dunno maybe 100 million dollars – is justified in the court of public opinion. Then using that as a precedent, they go after the Bronfman sister for a whole lot more.

There is absolutely no excuse for this level of attack against a woman who while convicted of a felony, is as much a victim, (or even more so because she was reportedly targeted and socially engineered by Raniere and the Saltzmans) than those who testified.

Shortly, two books will come out and there will be lots to argue. And truthfully I don’t think anyones hands are clean.

Why don’t you give the women who’ve been convicted and await sentencing a break.

If you read the newspaper on a regular basis you can find lots of examples where sex traffickers like Harvey Weinstein and Allison Mack and the Bronfmans are being sued for their crimes.
In fact attorney Neil Glazer is already pursuing civil actions against the leaders of the NXIVM terrorist gang.
I suspect that Rick Alan Ross and others will do the same with Nancy Salzman.

Ummm Leave Kristin out of this, her show is also being paid by CW, which is a private Corp. Kristin and several others produce and pay for the show with their own money, and they also pay Canadian taxes. If Kristin decides to help Allison, it might be in some form of non profit community service or cause. Allison can do humanitarian work after she pays what ever the court decides her fate is in this court case. When ever they sentence her in the coming months.

OJ was never considered a real actor. He was an NFL player/sports commentator/personality who happened to take on some acting roles in movies and other forms of entertainment. Just like Jim Brown.

Despite what you may think of their acting talent, Mack and Kreuk have always been considered actors first and have garnered recognition for it.

Sorry but OJ isn’t considered an actor first. Never was. No one said anything about him being less famous than Mack and Kreuk or less talented in general. You made it a point to say OJ was a better actor than them. That’s bollocks. They are known for acting. OJ is not more known for it. He’s more known for being a football player and an alleged murderer who got off. He used his sports personality to transition into acting. The same way that Jim Brown did. The same way Bubba Smith did. None of those guys are known for acting.

No one would’ve cared about DOS and NXIVM as much if some Jane Doe and not some relatively well known actress from a popular WB hit when it came out and for several years after was the ring leader for it. Also, because of #metoo. The media coverage proved it with so much of its focus on Mack when it happened.

Kristin for one is a extremely talented actress, for close to 20 years. The fact is, she so successful she is producing her own shows for
CW for going on 7 years! OJ was more of a celeb, who could act, but like Mack, fell into the celeb pride trap, that you can get away with

According to Catherine Oxenberg’s book “Captive” Allison Mack already had considerable mental health issues before her current legal problems.

Mack would wake up in the middle of the night screaming and need to walk off her demons in the cool night air.

The government has seized her townhouse in a RICO forfeiture and she is under house arrest so she won’t be taking too many midnight strolls for a while.

And the Frank Report has reported a rumor that she has been incoherent without her degenerate Vanguard to guide her.

Mack made a plea deal but the government did not even see fit to use her as a prosecution witness, perhaps because she is unreliable.

The legal phrase is “non-compos mentis”
Of unsound mind.

Frankly I won’t waste any sympathy on Allison Mack.
She’s shown she’s a sadistic twit who lacks a decent moral compass. If Keith’s machinations have driven her over the edge that would not exonerate her of her crimes. And if she is wacko keep her away from women, and society at large. I suspect she’s weaponized and capable of great harm to others.

Not at all. She’s not interesting. If this blog is taking a tabloid turn (which is appears to), then it should either have more interesting characters or better gossip fodder. Honestly, I used to come here for actual news — and I’m not opposed to tabloid style stuff (I go to CDAN and Page Six, right?) but this is neither juicy nor interesting. And it’s certainly not news.

But hey, if you’re having fun, go for it. There’s worse stuff on the internet.

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
