Epstein Case Sparks Numerous Conspiracy Theories

Jeffrey Epstein - MK10 Art

Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Jeffrey Epstein’s apparent suicide last Saturday is that so many people don’t believe they will ever know what really happened.

That’s where things are with our government today.

We simply don’t trust much of what we’re told by government officials.

In fact, we often believe that the government is lying to us on many important issues.

“Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone – and so did Jack Ruby” – JFK Assassination

Lee Harvey Oswald & Jack Ruby

“James Earl Ray acted alone” – Martin Luther King Assassination

“Of course, your drinking water is safe” – Flint, MI

“The suspect appeared to be aiming a weapon at us – and that’s why we shot him 19 times” – Amadou Diallo Killing

“Both buildings collapsed because of the intense heat from the fires that resulted from them being struck by planes” – Twin Towers

“All that was recovered were pieces of weather balloons” – Area 51

“ Of course we landed there. Didn’t you see the pictures?” – The Moon

Is Epstein Actually Dead?

One of the most interesting theories bouncing around the internet is that Epstein is still alive.

“Not a chance he is dead,” reads a Facebook post by Erik Pearson, whose page also features images of QAnon — which is a group of anti-government conspiracy theorists who support President Donald Trump.

“Since when are DEAD bodies just wheeled out without being covered or in a body bag? And look at how pink he looks. That is not the face of a dead man,” he added.

Still, others have elaborated on this theory – and claim that Epstein is now is the federal government’s witness protection program.

The late (?) Jeffrey Epstein

No way of proving this one way or the other.

Unless Epstein shows up again somewhere else.

*****

Jeffrey Epstein Was Murdered

This theory started circulating within hours after it was announced that Epstein was dead.

By Saturday night, #EpsteinMurder was trending worldwide.

It picked up even more steam after President Trump re-tweeted a theory that linked Epstein’s death to the Clintons.

Jeffrey Epstein with Donald Trump

The original tweet came from Terrence K. Williams, whose Twitter bio identifies him as an actor and commentator.

“Died of SUICIDE on 24/7 SUICIDE WATCH? Yeah right! How does that happen,” Williams tweeted on Saturday. ”#JefferyEpstein had information on Bill Clinton & now he’s dead. I see #TrumpBodyCount trending but we know who did this!”

Williams’ tweet included a video that mentioned another conspiracy theory that suggests that the Clintons were responsible for the death of White House aide Vince Foster, who died by suicide in 1994.

Earlier this week, Trump defended his re-tweets by noting that they originated from “a very highly respected conservative pundit”.

He went to say “He’s a big Trump fan. … He’s a man who has half a million followers, a lot of followers, and he’s respected”.

Bureaucratic Incompetence or Conspiracy?

One of the reasons that Epstein’s apparent suicide has spawned so many conspiracy theories is that the story emerging from the Manhattan Correctional Center (MCC) is just so hard to believe.

Thus far, that story includes the following unanswered questions:

(1). Why was Epstein taken off suicide watch so soon after an apparent attempt to take his own life?
It’s difficult for many to believe that a man who was thought to have attempted suicide was removed from MCC’s Suicide Watch Unit after just a few days.

The reality, however, is that the vast majority of inmates who end up in that unit are only there for a few days.

So, while it may have raised questions for lots of people, there was really nothing unusual about Epstein being removed from the Suicide Watch Unit – and returned to the Special Housing Unit (SHU) where he was previously being held.

(2). Why was Epstein not placed in a one-man cell with 24/7 monitoring via an in-cell camera?
Although it now seems that this would have been the most prudent thing to do, it appears that MCC’s protocol is to return prisoners to their prior cell after they are released from the Suicide Watch Unit.

In retrospect, that seems like a pretty questionable protocol.

Especially in the case of a prisoner like Epstein who was sharing a cell with a guy who is facing four murder counts.

But in all probability, there was really nothing nefarious about Epstein being returned to his former cell.

(3). Why was Epstein’s cellmate transferred the day before Epstein’s apparent death?
No solid answer has yet been provided to this question.

But if, in fact, Epstein’s “cellie” was transferred to another prison on the Friday before Epstein’s death, that action was very likely set in motion several days prior to it happening.

Moving federal prisoners around is a complicated process – with special buses making the rounds to several different prisons to pick up and drop off prisoners.

Once again, even though this appears to be very suspicious, there might be a reasonable explanation.

If, on the other hand, Epstein’s former “cellie” was simply transferred to another location within MCC, then this looks a lot more suspicious.

Either way, once his cellmate was moved, Epstein should have been assigned another one – or he should have been moved to the other SHU section that has one-man cells with 24/7 in-cell camera coverage.

Why that didn’t happen could either be nefarious or just bureaucratic laxity.

And we may never know the real answer.

(4) Why did the guards not do a visual check on Epstein every 30-minutes as they were supposed to do?
Although this sounds highly suspicious, the reality is that those 30-minute checks rarely happen.

Federal Correctional Officers (COs) AKA guards do not follow the Bureau of Prison (BOP) guidelines on lots of things.

The fact that the two guards assigned to the SHU section where Epstein was housed did not check on him every 30 minutes is, in reality, the norm and not the exception.

Had they actually been checking on him every 30-minutes during the graveyard shift that would have been noteworthy!

The fact that they were sleeping during that time period – and that they falsified their logbooks to indicate otherwise – is, unfortunately, pretty much standard operating procedure in federal prisons.

*****

We Will Likely Never Be Sure What Really Happened to Epstein

Despite the fact that there are already two investigations underway – one by the BOP Inspector General and one by the FBI – we will likely never be sure what really happened to Jeffrey Epstein.

Did he simply commit suicide – which is very likely what both investigations will conclude?

Jeffrey Epstein

Was he assisted in committing suicide – either via a conspiracy or via bureaucratic incompetence?

Was his suicide faked – and is he still alive?

Was he killed in order to ensure that the identity of others who were involved in his international sex trafficking operation will never be revealed?

All good questions – and ones for which we may never know the real answer.

Jails issue inmates with blankets made from recycled plastic and wool. Find me one jail that issues sheets and I’ll kiss your ass. I’d like to see what items inmates at MCC receive. And a picture of Epsteins neck.

Since his death we have learned a number of things that make you question this man’s death.

Here is a Complete List of Inconsistencies in Prison Policy Surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s Death:
** Epstein said he was considering cooperating in “naming names” in his international sex ring
** He was found unconscious in his prison cell just three weeks earlier
** Two days prior to his death documents released for the first time implicated several top Democrats in his pedo sex ring
** He was taken off suicide watch after a failed attempt just two weeks earlier
** He was in isolation (unusual for a suicidal individual)
** The cameras malfunctioned — There is no video
** Even Mexico had video of El Chapo’s escape from prison
** Then later we hear the cameras showed the guards did not do rounds? Which is it?
** The prison guards had worked several extra shifts last week
** One prison guard on his floor was not even a certified guard
** The prison guards “forgot” to check on Epstein
** The prison guards slept through their shift
** The guards did not check Epstein for several hours
** There were reports of screaming the morning Epstein died
** The MCC had not seen a successful suicide in 40 years
** Epstein said he was the victim of attempted murder three weeks ago
** Epstein’s former roommate is facing mass murder charges
** Epstein had dirt on numerous globalist elites
** Epstein was not given paper sheets
** Epstein had sheets in his cell to hang himself
** Epstein was not suicidal according to medical professionals
** Epstein told his lawyers on Friday, a day before his death, “See you Sunday.”
** Epstein’s former roommate heard nothing
** Epstein reportedly had to get on his knees to hang himself from his bed
** Epstein autopsy showed broken bones in neck common in strangulation deaths

This prison obviously suffered a breakdown in official policy.
And now the liberal media and Marco Rubio believe you are a conspiracy theorist for questioning Epstein’s death.

…..Actually much of the liberal media is questioning Epstein’s death.

It may be the first time conservatives and liberals have been united on anything.

Since universally despising Mike Dukakis.

Coroners note Epstein’s broken neck bones are more consistent with strangulation

He said more common, not more consistent. The manner in which Epstein allegedly hanged himself was also more consistent with a choking than a hanging. The cameras at the end of the halls should capture people coming and going. If that information isn’t available, then it gets very suspicious.

I did a bit of poking around and found that there is a surprising amount of scientific literature on the subject.

It turns out that breakage of the hyoid bone increases with age in cases of hanging suicides. The Washington Post article that the NY Post piece sites out, turns out to report just that, along with other interesting details, such as that hyoid bone breakage appears to be associated with a drop when hanging occurs – which would fit with what occurred to me, perhaps Epstein was just smart enough to set up his suicide to try to break his neck and kill himself quickly, rather than slowly strangling himself.

It’s certainly another oddity. But often life is just that way.

Conspiracy theories are largely an attempt to make some sense of a world that can seem random and inscrutable – much as cults also do, which is why they often promulgate conspiracy theories. It’s somehow more satisfactory to imagine textbook villains who are a sort of “other”, than consider something so banal as that people more or less like us did something like just literally falling asleep on the job.

Yes, there are a few cases where more nefarious things are at work – but those are by far the minority. And the majority of conspiracy theories actually have to be wrong, if only because in most cases their are multiple, conflicting ones only one of which could possibly be true – in the case of Epstein he’s theorized to be both dead and alive, almost like Schroedinger’s cat – plus of course in many cases the truth will be the banal non-conspiracy reality.

There’s a great book that came out a couple of years ago, Suspicious Minds: Why We Believe Conspiracy Theories by Rob Brotherton, that explains the mechanisms backed up by a lot of fascinating research into just what it is a work.

You mean like how conspiracy left-wing nutters believe the World Trade Center was laced with explosives placed by secret ‘governmental agencies’ (LOL) and how the planes that flew into them were just a smoke screen for this operation? LOL.

Or how left-wing nutters believe Trump and Putin entered into a secret ‘collusion agreement’ to hand Trump the election in exchange for Trump being Putin’s lapdog and doing his bidding in Washington —- even though Trump has angered Putin at every opportunity with his policies and has yet to do a single thing to put Russian interests first.

Even though Hillary kinda just ignored the midwestern states she needed to win (and wound up losing) and those particular states have no interest in email scandals from Wikileaks, only Trump’s promises of jobs?

You mean like that kinda conspiracy stuff? 🙂

Great point. 🙂

I’m not quite sure what you’re getting at.

And I wasn’t aware that WTC conspiracy theories necessarily had an ideological bent to them, though it wouldn’t surprise me. Most conspiracy theories do, which points to their being based more on pre-existing belief and bias rather than logic and facts.

Interesting side note: about a year ago, a vacant Brazilian high-rise inhabited by squatters burned – and then collapsed, into a pile of rubble very much like those of the WTC buildings. Yes, like the engineers and experts have been saying all along, a modern skyscraper can actually be brought down by just the effects of an out of control fire.

Come on buttercup. I realize you are not too bright but don’t abuse it. All the a-hole is saying is that you leftists are fucking hypocritical tools.

Isn’t it clever how the same leftists who STILL maintain Trump colluded with Russia… some saying since as early as 1989…. are the same ones insisting this couldn’t have been anything other than suicide. And anyone who says otherwise is a lunatic conspiracy theorist.

Conspiracy theories also provide the delicious satisfaction of thinking one is smarter than all the sheeple who have been hoodwinked by Them. Plus they satisfy the paranoiacs who want to believe the government is out to get them and the cynics who like to think everyone who’s rich or is in a position of influence or expertise has banded together agains the little guy. It’s a kind of Bolshevik Revolution in the mind.

Epstein likely wouldn’t squeal on his customers, so there was little to be gained by him being kept alive. If he did squeal, he would be dead meat. Epstein was the top-dog, much like Raniere, so any deal wouldn’t have bought him much leniency.

Although that is a recent article, it’s the same old story from discredited “experts” who don’t know what they’re talking about. FitzPatrick won’t answer simple questions from me and Brooks loses pretty much every MLM lawsuit he’s been involved with, but that doesn’t keep him from trying. The story is filled, as usual, with a mixture of correct and totally erroneous claims. For example, they can’t even define what an illegal pyramid is. If you can’t define terms correctly, there is nothing else to discuss. I don’t use the “cult” theme because MLMs are breaking the law and cults are perfectly legal, at least in the U.S.

How many successful suicides have there been in the SHU previously? It would be interesting to know. Even with negligent observation, ex-inmates of SHU say its cells provide no opportunity for suicide: e.g., paper sheets, low ceilings, no surfaces to attach a ligature, etc so did he just decide to stop breathing and keep his resolve after he was unconscious? Probably only KAR could achieve that.

Epstein was not under suicide watch, therefore he had regular sheets.

We all know that prisoners get assaulted and even murdered in prisons quite often, so it wouldn’t surprise me at all if Epstein was really murdered.

Notorious Canadian child-murderer Clifford Olsen was in solitary confinement for his entire sentence (until his death from cancer) because it was known that he would be murdered by the other inmates.

Pedophiles are hated by the other inmates, so Epstein didnt stand much of a chance of living a long time in prison, regardless of other factors.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was murdered either, but the topic at hand was how did he hang himself with flimsy paper sheets.

Noisy Mouse has answered my question on how many suicides there have been at MCC. This is the first successful one in 40 years! And even if taken off suicide watch, how could Epstein hang himself? Does the coroner not have to explain exactly how he managed it without bars or height even if he had a fabric sheet?

The paper sheets are used only in the suicide area, not the regular SHU area.
