The federal sentencing guidelines for Allison Mack’s two counts – racketeering and racketeering conspiracy – suggest a prison sentence of between 3-5 years and three years probation afterwards.
The maximum sentence is 20 years for each felony. They can run consecutively or concurrently. There is no minimum sentence.
Unhappily for Allison, she did not fare well during the trial of Keith Alan Raniere, her former mentor, guru, lover, master and codefendant.
Several witnesses, particularly Nicole and Jaye, presented her in an unflattering light. Nicole was her slave and Jaye was her grand-slave, according to DOS terminology.
Allison was – perhaps still is – a slave to Keith Alan Raniere, whose followers adore him as their Vanguard.
Judge Nicholas G. Garaufis, the presiding judge in the trial, heard it all during a six-week trial – where the focus was the defendant but where Allison’s name came up literally hundreds of times.
The judge has almost complete discretion on sentencing. He can sentence Allison anywhere from zero to 40 years.
He heard not only of Allison’s bad behavior at trial, but, more importantly, and much more in-depth, he heard about the horrors of the Vanguard, for six long weeks, and how he abused woman after woman.
Will the judge make a distinction with some of the women – judging them to be more culpable than others – such as Allison?
Or will he realize that all of the women were victims to a great degree and exercise leniency – even for Allison?
The judge clearly showed sympathy for Lauren Salzman, who pleaded guilty to the exact same charges as Allison.
Lauren testified at the trial. The judge actually stopped her cross-examination when he felt that Raniere’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, had gone too far in his cross after Lauren broke into uncontrollable tears.
The judge afterward declared Lauren was a broken woman [outside the hearing of the jury].
So who broke her? Obviously, the defendant, Keith Alan Raniere.
Will the judge exercise leniency for Lauren who he saw cry and who told her story with pathos and real emotion – the story of abuse – but not for Allison – of whom he only heard from her slaves about how bad she was?
In the real world of Nxivm enterprises, the truth is – Lauren had a far, far greater role than Allison.
So did Clare Bronfman, and Nancy Salzman.
Both Nancy and Clare stand to get lesser sentences than Allison and Lauren because they were offered better plea deals.
Yet, in my opinion, the role that Nancy and Clare played in the enabling and execution of the Nxivm racketeering enterprise compared with Allison is one similar to the comparison of a tiger with a tiger beetle.
Had Allison been called to testify, she might have been as good a ‘tear-jerker’ as Lauren.
It did not happen, and we are left with a rather one-sided view of Allison – as she appeared per the testimony of two of her slaves – as a slave master.
We did not get to see Allison as a slave. And the slow boil of a once-admired actress into slavery under the brute.
We did not get to hear how she may have been tormented by the cruel one.
We did see Lauren as a slave – through her testimony. It was all about her being a slave to the vicious one.
What will the judge sentence Allison?
I think the optics are such that it will be almost impossible for him to give her a suspended sentence or home confinement – which might be appropriate.
He will almost certainly have to give her prison time since she has been vilified robustly in the media and at trial
The hue and outcry would be great indeed if he made a severe downward departure and let Allison serve her sentence at home.
Yet, that is probably a more just outcome for this broken, gullible woman. She made the most colossal blunder in following the Vanguard and she will pay for it the rest of her life.
From fame and success and adoration of fans to calumny and hatred – and little sympathy – largely because only the one side – the slave master side – of her persona came out.
If the slave side – for she was, after all, a slave to Raniere – had come out, it might have been different.
And let’s face it, except for Raniere [even if they were masters over some women], all the women of Nxivm were his slaves.
One of them displayed true human cruelty – Legatus – seeking to destroy the lives of others.
I do not think that Lauren, Nancy or Allison truly meant to harm others as Raniere did.
He and Legatus are unique in the group. They are both absolute sadists.
The rest were misguided, some of them rather selfish. Many of them rather enjoying the little bit of power Raniere bestowed upon them.
That includes Allison. She probably enjoyed having slaves and yet I suspect she would have rather had Raniere to herself and that she did this for him – finding him women – adult women. She was not accused as others were of seeking underage women for him.
In the end, Allison Mack first and foremost was a slave to Keith Raniere.
I hope the judge does not forget this when he considers the fairness of her fate.

I believe Allison was taken by this man and brainwashed. He made her feel that she had worth, he worked on her low self-esteem then talked her into doing things for him. People trusted her because she was an actress and appeared to be considerate of them. She knows she has done a bad thing and is taking her punishment. The women who are branded can have cosmetic surgery to heal that brand and have professional help to get better. Maybe Allison with all her money can pay for this to help reconcile what she has done.

First the guideline is proposed by THE PROSECUTION and the judge as the discretion of following it or not BUT
THE PROSECUTION IS OFTEN WAY OVER THE SENTENCE APPLIED.
The prosecution aim high to get the minimum they want…the judge can very well consider that one has paid enough…
Judge Garaufis did it in the past for WAY MORE SEVERE CRIMES…

Considering she fully cooperate, the circumstance and the detail you evade , the fact that he (the judge) said that home confinement is “prison”, nobody can know what he will decide.

Raniere had been saying for a long time that the government would come after him.
I don’t doubt they had contingency plans in place for that eventuality.
I’m expecting her to get about 10 years.
She like the rest were willing participants. She wasn’t just willing she was eager. How do I know? The witness testimony.
How much leniency should be acceptable for a follower? Someone that was taken in and manipulated. Nearly every co defendant can make the same claim, mafioso, street gang, bike gang, etc.
People join and describe being part of something bigger than themselves, the first real family they’ve ever known, true loyalty and all the other manipulations.
Was Allison or Lauren or the other top tier women “slaves”? Yes that was the term used. In their own minds do you really think they thought of themselves as coerced? Forced into things they didn’t gladly accept and doing their part as foot soldiers, bad ass women warriors? Allison took a plea at a minute to midnight, Lauren was between Vangaurd and armed police at the very end. Both chased the police to accomplish god knows what. Loyal to damn near the end. I have little doubt they still believe and realized, maybe even discussed the saving of themselves because martyrdom doesn’t serve the mission. And while I believe Lauren’s hurt and emotional state, the source of that pain is the realization that Keith is going away for life and even if he wasn’t she, like Cami were never going to win his heart for only themselves and live a more normal life. That doesn’t mean they all weren’t willing to keep going as they had for all those years however.

LITERALLY hundreds of times? I’d like to see that, still waiting on the full transcript.
I doubt what was covered during the trial is going to have much impact on the judge, as Mack wasn’t on trial and didn’t have a chance to defend herself.
Much more influential will be the input the judge receives from the probation investigators, which should include the FBI/DOJ’s opinions of Mack, and letters (or in the case of Mr. Shadow, the series of War & Peace novels he is furiously writing) sent to the judge from victims and observers.

I remember reading about Keith telling someone he was “trying to break her” meaning Allison. I am not defending her, but if you have ever been through psychological abuse, it is rough, add along with a lack of food and sleep equals a recipe for mind control.

Yes – and some who he tried to break, resisted and ultimately left. I think we can have some sympathy for her having been somehow particularly vulnerable, and been taken advantage of. But she also has to be held to account for having stuck with it for such a long time, and being willing to manipulate or even abuse others, and ending up engaging in criminal behavior.

Shadow is right on point here. The whole “justice” system is obviously skewed in the favor of females. They always cry and get a lighter sentence because Western society infantilizes and coddles them. The real question here is, how much time will these skanks get? I guess it depends on how good looking they are and what their TPM (tears per minute) output is.
Seems like a lot of cucked, white knight types are here, as well as people okay with sex cults (and obviously working for them and paid to post) are present. Get behind me, satan.

I’ve consulted with 2 spiritual gurus and 1 Jamaican witchdoctor friend of mine, and the consensus is that:
1) Allison Christin Mack will be sentenced to 7 years in prison for her dastardly deeds and unwholesome behavior towards so many women, while acting as Keith’s right hand man.
No easy sentence for Allison. You heard it here first.
2) Lauren Salzman will be sentenced to 12-18 months in prison maximum, due to her lesser role in these crimes and her estranged relationship with Smelly Keith (i.e., she hadn’t fornicated with Rodent Keith in years).
Lauren may have outranked Allison many years ago, but Allison quickly rose to become Keith’s favored miscreant.
Lauren was just a sad and forlorn ‘follower’ and had little input to Keith’s decisions.
Whereas Allison was a partial architect of the branding process and slave system, while also being the strictest and most cruel slave master in Keith’s upper line.
The biggest factor (in her sentencing) will likely be the fact that Lauren was just following ‘mom’.
A person’s mother can have a tremendous impact on their own decision making in life.
Most people’s parents encourage them to go to college, get a respectable job and live a happy life.
But not Lauren’s mom.
According to Frank Parlato, Lauren’s mom encouraged her to playfully wrestle & roughhouse with a DIRTY OLD PERVERT during her high school days, thus ‘grooming her’ to be physical with Keith and setting the stage for eventually having sex with him after she became a young adult.
That type of parental pressure is an ABSOLUTE MITIGATING FACTOR in her sentencing.
I think the pre-sentencing report (from the probation office) will reflect these issues, especially the fact that Nancy pressured her own daughter to become Keith’s sex partner and to obey anything he says.
If not for Nancy’s parental pressure from a young age, Lauren would not have walked down this particular path in life.
Whereas Allison didn’t have that type of parental pressure to join NXIVM.
Allison was not groomed to obey Keith from a young age.
Allison was a rich TV star long before joining NXIVM, yet she still jumped on the NXIVM bandwagon like a bum on a baloney sandwich.
That shows a higher level of independent thought and willful intent, compared to Lauren.
That’s the reason for the sentencing disparities.
I also truly believe that the government owes Lauren free plastic surgery to fix her undesirably huge nose, as part of her plea deal for providing such great testimony.
Once she gets that nose fixed she’ll be able to find a suitable husband and live a normal life.
