‘I Got Dragged Into One of the Nxivm Classes About Five Years Ago and Kristin Kreuk Showed Up’

Kristin Kreuk

Editor’s Note: I first published this story on Nov. 10, 2017, five and a half months before Keith Alan Raniere was arrested. It was about the time he fled to Mexico. Some of you have read this story but for newcomers to the site, this may be of interest since it reveals a little of what Nxivm was like in the days before I exposed their leader for branding women. It also shows a glimpse of Kristin Kreuk, who enjoyed Nxivm and its teachings for years.

The story is based on a thread that appeared on Reddit and looks like an authentic description of one person’s experiences with NXIVM. It shows a slice of NXIVM’s underside and how famous people like Kristin Kreuk are used to induct others into NXIVM.

Based on the date it was published, the Nxivm Intensive that the author attended [and Kristin Kreuk evidently coached] likely occurred around 2012-2013.

Here is Cl0ud_le0pard‘s tale: “I got dragged into one of the NXIVM classes about five years ago and Kristin Kreuk showed up”

My boss at the time told me he was sending me to a “leadership and management” class in LA. He was some high level member [of Nxivm] and shelled out $5,000 to send me there.

***

[My boss] was high-level in the [NXIVM] organization. [He was] the owner of the company I worked for…. I’d only met him a handful of times, and when he offered to send me to this to “advance my career,” I naturally jumped at it.

***

[My boss] was an extremely wealthy guy that owned businesses all over the world.

***

There were about 30 people total [in the Nxivm Intensive]. Although six or so were “upper level” leaders in the organization.

A mix – most of them seemed pretty down on their luck [attended the class]. Since the courses are so expensive, I think they target wealthier people and upper-middle-class people who have lost direction in their life. Several of the men were [film] producers that were struggling.

***

It was held at a vacation rental, which was too small for the number of people attending.

***

The bathroom,…  was a dead-end hallway at the back of the house.

***

In fact, there was no escaping without everyone seeing you leaving (great strategy on their part).

***

They made us sign all kinds of paperwork, then gave everyone a white sash to wear around their neck. They explained that each person gets to a new color sash depending on how many classes they’ve been to and how far they’ve gotten in the organization.

***

They gave us about 15 minutes to review all the documents and sign. The papers we did sign contained some sort of agreement not to share their “training documents” with anyone else. We did not get copies of those. The only documentation that was left in our possession was the “training guide” which was basically a spiral-bound manual of exercises in a fill-in-the-blank format.

I always wished I took photos of those documents. At the very beginning, before they tell you about the actual program, it all seems very innocent – that’s when they have you sign things.

They introduce you to the group, have a nice breakfast (the only real meal for the next 5 days), and talk about business and life success.

I wouldn’t have ever done it except that I trusted my boss at the time and assumed it must just be an extra cautious business management program that may be had their materials pirated or something.

***

Their itinerary was that everyone would be there, at the class, from 7 am to 9 pm for five days in a row. They claimed they would feed us, but provided little to no food.

They then had us watch a bunch of videos, followed by group “exercises” in which they would give scenarios and ask how that made you feel. The trick was that there were no right answers. It was all about making people feel vulnerable and that they were somehow changing. They tried to claim that if you started to feel really hungry or tired, that meant their program was working.

***

I honestly wanted to leave after about the first hour, but it was … the owner of the company [that sent me). I really didn’t want to piss him off, and his cousin was also attending … which made it even more difficult.

***

Some people seemed very down on their luck and willing to do whatever it took. Others seemed a bit suspicious, but when you spend that kind of money, I think they just assumed it would give them something.

***

Most of the … people at the “class” were struggling with their careers or family lives. They were told that if they did everything right, they’d be just like the successful celebrities [who were Nxivm members].

***

Every time someone would question what they were doing, the leaders would tell them they have to fight through their insecurity in order for the process to work. They would then tout the amazing celebrities that were big members of their organization.

***

NXIVM framed it as a way to get ahead and “change your life.”

***

They did a whole speech on the first day about people who “almost gave up” but then went on to be phenomenally successful because they stuck with it.

***

For some reason, they took one look at me and proudly announced that they were offering a healthy vegetarian diet — upon further inspection, their “buffet” consisted of vegetables, plain bagels, and fruit.

I asked where the meat or any kind of protein was, and they pointed me to a pathetic bowl of four hard-boiled eggs lurking behind the toaster. They smelled funny and I left early to find real food.

***

When I showed up the second morning, they kicked the day off with everyone wearing their white sash standing in a circle and repeating some chant. I swear the neighbors must have thought the KKK was in town.

Kristin Kreuk showed up and proceeded to “help” people with their group exercises. All I remember is that she looked half alert and her legs weren’t shaved.

***

It wasn’t really judging, so much as just a weird thing that stood out to me because of how tired and run down she looked.

***

I def. had a girl crush on her .

***

Yeah, it was so weird to see her in that context, looking so disheveled and tired. I was sad.

***

I did talk to one lady who was really on the fence. Apparently, her son had paid for the class and was heavily involved in the program. I told her my honest opinion (yeah… I can be a little blunt sometimes) and I’m hoping she left the same day I did.

***

I went for lunch the second day and never went back.

Two different “leaders” from the group called me non-stop, begging me to see it through. I told them I’ve taken several psychology classes and that what they were doing was barely basic psychology, mixed with a dash of absolute insanity.

They didn’t take it well and my boss wasn’t too happy when he found out … oh well.

***

The owner of the company sent me – and we only really saw him a few times a year. I loved my immediate boss, and he really went to bat for me with the owner when I left the “class”. I was definitely glad to get out of an organization owned by someone wrapped up in that though.

***

I left the company about 4 months later, once I found a better job with saner bosses.

***

The entire program is set up so that people who have been through the brainwashing – eh program – are the ones who are “teaching” (evangelizing) to new people. It’s much easier to sell if the salesmen believe it works.

***

I think that a lot of people who get wrapped up in these things believe so strongly that it must be right because they are too afraid to see the alternative.

That’s one of the reasons I never held it against my boss. Can you imagine spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on an organization you believe in, only to find out they’ve been playing you?

The mere thought that it’s all a pyramid scheme would be devastating. Let alone the personal betrayal of trust from the entire network of people who you believed in. In this particular organization (and I believe many like it) they make participants feel like they’ve been let in on some secret, and are now “separate” from anyone who isn’t a part of the organization.

This alienation leads to people placing complete faith and trust in their peers in the organization, and a growing lack of trust in anyone who’s not involved or unwilling to become involved. I think that’s whit’sts so incredibly hard for people to move away from these situations.

Kristin Kreuk came to class looking tired and unfocused.

ESP/Nxivm  was founded by Keith Alan Raniere, the smartest man in the world and, as he advises us, the most ethical. He resides currently in Brooklyn New York, but, it is contemplated, he may be relocating in the near future. His sentencing for sex trafficking, racketeering and other crimes is scheduled for September 25, 2019.

13 references to sultan and 13 references to spank and/or their derivatives in 99 comments claiming every poster and their mother is me.

How pitifully obsessed are you Mr. Projection to refer to me 26 times and still come up with a big fat ZERO?

At least I was obsessed with a beautiful, kind, wealthy, etc., woman almost any single, heterosexual man wouldn’t mind a chance to be with. You’re just obsessed with throwing mud on her and an alias who is obsessed with her.

Pathetic.

Recruiting Teens for Raniere

When Kristen Kruek left is secondary to what she did while associated with the cult. The recruiting of teen girls for Raniere through her website girls by design is very suspicious and shold be looked into. The questions asked of the teen girls are very suspicious. The objective of course was Virgin young teen girls for Raniere. The latest articles on this blog show how important that was to Raniere and should remove all doubt just what the Girls By Design program was really for. According to Frank report a teen girl from this teen website ended up as a sex slave in “DOS”

Anonymous

Kristin Kreuk and Kendra Voth were planning to relaunch their NXIVM project Girls By Design as recently as July 2013, one year and five months after Keith Raniere was exposed as a pedophile.

On their GBD site, 12th July 2013: “Hey ladies, we are redesigning our site…send us some examples of sites you like the LOOK of:)”

https://www.facebook.com/pg/gbdfan/posts/?ref=page_internal

On their “Kristin Kendra” page, Kendra Voth left a message from her personal account saying “we are working on a comeback and are pretty excited :)”.

On 8th September 2016, Kreuk answered a question on twitter about Girls By Design:

https://twitter.com/MsKristinKreuk/status/774052774677852160

“complicated. We hit a few obstacles and life stuff. I support @iamthatgirl b/c they do similar work.#batb”

Whatever these “obstacles” and “life stuff” was, it wasn’t falling out with NXIVM as Kreuk was still coaching for them at least two years (2015) after they were planning to relaunch.

Nothing quite smells like rotten eggs.
It’s the Hydrogen Sulfide.
Like a backed up toilet.

I hope NXIVM never goes into the restaurant business.

He sounds like a nice man and I like the way he understands why his boss having spent so much money on it then finds it harder to leave. People need to learn some self preservation. Anything that does not feed you properly including enough protein and goes on so late tends to be a bad thing.
I have done a lot of training – given it – about 1700 day courses – all legit legal stuff ones and would always avoid anything that went on too late. In fact I prefer half days to full days as it all just gets too tiring.

If they want to entice people in better feed them better to start with surely? Or I suppose the lack of food might make people weaker and more gullible.
It was brave of him to leave and also good of his boss not to sack him because he left.

Thanks, it’s very interesting to hear from someone off the street who did a NXIVM course – but who obviously had enough insight to figure out what was really going on.

Lots of the details of how it was run seem rather dubious and unprofessional for something so expensive and supposedly “executive” oriented, particularly the inadequate space – typically such things are held in a real conference center of some sort. If everyone was paying full rate, 30 attendees would equate to a gross of $150,000 for the course.

$150,000 gross… minus some incidentals, recruiter commissionss, teacher pay, and rent leaves a tidy net sum profit.

That sounds like a Hallmark condolence card for whatever is left of Raniere and friends. Just add more eggs. The lurking behind the toaster reference brings up images of Nancy Salzman being eerily awkward, still trying to sell her skillz while festooned with an ankle monitor. She should be like Carol Burnett playing Scarlett O’Hara, tear down the drapes and wear a long gown. Stylin.’

Probably because there is just not a lot there to investigate…unless, of course you know something the rest of us don’t know—I’m guessing that’s the case since you are asking that someone investigate him. So, please tell–enlighten us. I really want to know. I am constantly hearing how terrible a person and president he is, but I never hear any verifiable reason why that is the case. If you can’t do that, I would have to assume you want him to be investigated because…well, just because you don’t like him, maybe even hate him—can’t quite pinpoint why? No worries, you are not alone. While you are at it tell me why I think Trump is a lousy communicator, verbose, immature, has an inflated ego, but is otherwise a fairly honest and descent person with a good amount of common sense. I can back much of that up. Now you tell me why I am wrong and why I am less concerned with Donald Trump than I am with people who hate him but can’t prove to me that they are justified in their feelings.

In 2012, Kristin Crook knew Keith Raniere was a pedophile. She knew she was named as a “likely future defendant” in a criminal lawsuit. She knew about what was said in the Necker Island articles about crimes. All in one month. She still coached for NXIVM. Still was with NXIVM in 2015. Bad.

That claim about her involvement in 2015 is based on reading a lot into the meaning of a single social media tag.

This account is, if anything, a reminder that if Kreuk had continued to be involved after 2012, when she said she’d left, there would probably be actual witness reports confirming it. Instead, Frank actually has multiple insider sources confirming that she did leave after the first reports about Raniere’s pedophilia came out.

No.

Frank has spoken to three anonymous “sources”. Why should they be believed? Are they friends defending her? Other “sources” told Frank Kreuk left shortly after Allison Mack posted her June 2012 Instagram photo of herself, Kreuk and Mark Hildreth in New York. Susan Dones said she left “shortly after” she did in 2009. Someone here on Frank Report said that the top Vancouver people said Kreuk was still active between 2012-14 but was just busy on a television show. Someone spoke to the media claiming Kreuk left because of rumours of a “sex cult” and that Keith Raniere was “manipulating” women into having sex with him. This “source” didn’t say 2013. None of the three “sources” said anything about that. Another told Vice something else. All contradicting comments.

That Facebook post was legit. Mark Busse is still in contact with Sarah Edmondson. Kristin Kreuk was thanked for encouraging the guy on the NXIVM course he did that very week. She was thanked alongside Lucas Roberts (who acknowledged he was there in the comments) and Mark Vicente. Edmondson, Vicente and Roberts all “liked” the post.

Kristin Kreuk, Mark Vicente and Lucas Roberts we’re either the guy’s recruiters, coaches or both.

One of the three “sources” you bring up said Kreuk was concerned with the pedophilia, even though she was named in that same expose that came out February 2012. Yet, here she was, 2015 with Vancouver NXIVM people, thanked for it, and was clearly still a supporter of NXIVM, most likely coaching that intensive. What else was she doing, making coffee and sandwiches?
She couldn’t of been that concerned by the pedophilia then…

https://hollywoodlife.com/2018/05/17/kristin-kreuk-fled-nxivm-sex-cult-allison-mack-couldnt-be-saved/

“Kristin Kreuk allegedly introduced ‘Smallville’ co-star Allison Mack to NXIVM, but a former member tells us EXCLUSIVELY that she fled
once she heard rumors it could be turning in to a sex cult, while Allison stayed on.”

NXIVM started being called a “sex cult” in 2017 with the revelations about DOS, which started in 2015.

The Times Union expose came out February 2012 with Kristin Kreuk named in it. Kreuk claims she left one year later in 2013.

Are we supposed to believe Kreuk left NXIVM because of “rumors” that Keith Raniere was having sex with consenting adult members in 2013, or because of revelations about sex slavery and branding in DOS, which was formed in 2015 and exposed in 2017?

Those three “sources” who told Frank that Kreuk left in 2013 because of the Times Union pedophile expose which came out a year earlier did not say anything about Kreuk leaving because of “rumors” of a “sex cult”.

——-

“The pair (Raniere and Mack) have been charged with sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and conspiracy to commit forced labor. A former member of NXIVM says she heard whispers about what was going on and bailed from the group before she had a chance to find out if the horrible rumors were true, and that Kristin did the same thing.”

Kristin Kreuk “left” because of rumors of “sex trafficking, sex trafficking conspiracy and conspiracy to commit forced labor” in 2013 when she claims she left? DOS was formed in 2015 and was exposed on the Frank Report in June 2017.

—–

“Some years ago I started hearing some strange things about Keith manipulating women into having sex with him. People in NXIVM were starting to question his motives and that’s when I got out and a number of other people left at that time too, including Kristin. She didn’t hang around to wait and see if the rumors about Keith were true. She cut ties immediately and I give her a lot of credit for that.”

What year did these “rumors” start? The Times Union expose came out in February 2012 and Kristin Kreuk said she left the cult in 2013.
One year later is not “immediately” cutting ties. Now, we know she was still with the cult in 2015.

————–

https://www.vice.com/en_ca/article/ywxqwm/a-former-nxivm-insider-told-us-how-celebrities-were-preyed-on

Marlena is not this person’s real name, but here’s what she had to say about why someone like Kreuk, who left in 2012, would very much like to be excluded from this latest Nxivm narrative. VICE has reached out to Kreuk’s management for comment but has yet to receive a reply.”

Kreuk did not leave in 2012 like this article says, or 2013 like she herself claims. She wont answer questions because she did not cut ties with them.

——–

All these people giving contradicting statements to the media to protect Kreuk just make her look more naughty. Susan Dones said she left shortly after she did in 2009!

“Instead, Frank actually has multiple insider sources confirming that she did leave after the first reports about Raniere’s pedophilia came out”

1) the reports on Keith Raniere raping kids came out in February 2012. Kreuk claims she left in 2013, not 2012. This very Reddit post came from a woman who did a course in 2012 and Kreuk was there.

2) Not “multiple insider sources”. Three ANONYMOUS sources you don’t know. But we do have a name of someone who did a NXIVM cult course in May 2015. Kristin Kreuk was thanked in a post for being a part of it alongside two other big coaches, who all clicked the like button. Sarah Edmondson pressed like too. He didn’t accidentally name Kristin Kreuk. She obviously had no idea that post was online, otherwise, she might of avoided claiming she left in 2013.

Names and dates mean more than anonymous sources. Kristin Kreuk lied.

“Susan Dones, an ex Nxivm member who once ran the group’s Washington Training center tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Allison joined the group after being drawn in by her former Smallville co-star Kristin Kreuk, 34. “Yes Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack were members of Nxivm. Kristin recruited Allison. But Kristin left shortly after I left in 2009. She got out before it became really bizarre and wasn’t involved with anything sexual.” Dones then went on to tell us how Raniere allegedly wooed women within the group into sexual situations, and it disgusted her so much she bailed on Nxivm for good.

“I joined in 2000 and left in 2009 when I found out that Keith Raniere was manipulating women into having sex with him. He wouldn’t approach the women for sex directly. He would send one of the women working for him, a woman named Pat, on his behalf. Pat would say to the chosen woman, ‘Keith wants to spend some one on one time with you.’ Whatever they were doing with their lives, whether it was acting or business or a sport they were good at, they would be told Keith can help you if you spend some one on one time and she could set that up. He would meet them and do his seduction thing,” Dones tells us. HollywoodLife.com has reached out to Kreuk, Mack, Raniere and Nxivm about the allegations and none of the parties has responded to us.”

ALL real, named (Susan, Sarah, etc) and unnamed sources say Kristin left as early as 2012/13. Case closed. Stop making up lies or perpetuating.

1. Since all the references to 2012/13 are relative, as in “about 5 years ago,” we don’t know exactly when after the 2012 revelations, Kreuk said that she left.

2. Kreuk was tagged for “encouragement” – what that constituted, is not at all clear, and apparently no attempt has been made to confirm with the source, what was actually meant. The history of similar cases of people trying to interpret such hints of information, is that they tend to read too much into them.

Frank, on the other hand, has sources that have a history of providing accurate insider information – which may even include someone like Sarah Edmondson herself, who just doesn’t want to go on the record.

And I’ll add 3. There’s not a shred of corroborating evidence, like any actual reports of Kreuk being in attendance at a course or event, or on a list of coaches, after 2012 – and apparently, the effort to scour the bowels of the internet for clues about Kreuk turned up just that one inconclusive social media reference, nothing more. When there is one bit of anomalous data, it gets discarded, not turned into the centerpiece of a theory.

Ironically, this obsession with Kreuk is an example of just the sort of culty thinking that NXIVM and Raniere exploited. Given people prone to believing what they want to, without adequate proof, they can be lead to believe in a “mission,” a man who can supposedly walk in the rain without getting wet, an Illuminati conspiracy, or almost anything.

I’ll admit, the one social media tag does raise a question – though Frank did the right sort of thing, by checking with his insider sources, which virtually settles it. But the case for it supposedly being proof of something, is being approached more as a matter of fervent belief than rational objectivity.

I love the amazing double standard here.
Someone finds an old Facebook post that “could” be interpreted to “possibly” mean that KK “might” have been at a class and that’s conclusive, cast iron, absolute proof that she lied and should be locked up for decades.
But when someone like Sarah Edmonson posts a statement saying that KK left before the DOS stuff happened and that KK wasn’t involved in any weird and/or illegal stuff that gets a “Meh, just hearsay, means nothing, can be ignored or dismissed”.
I pity any poor person accused of anything if any of you get called up for jury duty.

Spanky, it’s “Karl”, not “Carl” remember?😂. Edmondson liked the post. She read it and liked it. She is friends with Kreuk and is happy to defend her. At a minimum, Kreuk recruited the guy. More likely, she was coaching for the pedo.

Edmondson is more a friend of Allison/Salzman WHO was in her wedding why would she back KK who she barely kept any contact or closeness to???? LMAO

😂😂😂😂😂 First of all you idiot it’s a girl and there was NO recruiting. She even says her boss. You must be a real pedo as is Raniere to scramble up facts that a 2 ye old can repeat truthfully.

I love the irony of someone posting under “Anonymous” is criticising ME for using an alias instead of my real name….
Edmondson liking a post does not mean KK was at that event, since the post didn’t say that. That comment thanked KK for “encouragement”, not training. And said he “finally” attended. For all we know KK encouraged him to attend years earlier.
If you claim that Mark Busse “confirmed Kreuk was with the cult in 2015” then you are lying. Unless you can link to another source where he said that.
Hence my comment about people taking a comment that “could” be interpreted to “possibly” imply she was there as absolute fact while ignoring the very clear and explicit statement Sarah Edmonson said about KK having left and not being involved.

Btw pretty sure Mark knows nothing versus Susan in it for 9 years and part of the inner echelon who helped Raniere. Mark is a male but if you read the other report…is a female.

The only ones on glue are the ones trying to prove Kristin has any connection to this case. Kristin never lied,
Sources confirmed she left before DOS. This case is closed in a few weeks and Oxenburg and NYPD got their convictions.
Shows over mean girls…lol. Funny some folks attack Kristin who is totally clear on involvement in the cult case, and those who plead guilty of crimes, are forgiven and considered innocent victims, and still blame Kristin for everything that happened.

Kristin looks to continue to succeed in her career and live a happy life.

How do you know Crook knew Raniere was a pedophile in 2012? Did you tell her? How do you know that she knew she was named as a “likely future defendant” in a criminal lawsuit, did you serve her with the lawsuit? How do you know she knew what was said in the Necker Island articles about crimes, did you send her the articles? What’s your evidence she was still with NXIVM in 2015? Bad.

True, but it is Bert Kreuk, not Kristin, sorry.
“Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte has a meeting with United States president Donald Trump next week Thursday, July 18th, a White House spokesperson confirmed in a statement. During that visit, Rutte and art collector Bert Kreuk will hand over an the first American flag planted in Normandy on D-Day, which the collector decided to donate to the US, NU.nl reports. When Kreuk bought the flag years ago, his dream was to hand it over to the leader of the American army – the president.”
Any relation? Bert seems like a virtue signaller, so….

Take this with a lot of salt plus this wasn’t part of or in any way connected to DOS. That was more the courses of Source

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
