Shadow: Raniere & Crowley Were Much Alike

By Shadow State

According to Catherine Oxenberg’s book “Captive”, Allison Mack was obsessed with the notion of penance.

That’s why Mack imposed strict diets and cold showers on her slaves and on herself.

That’s why Mack identified so strongly with Joan of Arc.

Well, now, Allison Mack has lots of sins to do penance for.

As for Aleister Crowley, just like J.Z. Knight who claims to channels an entity called Ramtha, Crowley claimed to communicate with Spirit Beings.

“Crowley claimed to have been contacted by a supernatural entity named Aiwass, who provided him with The Book of the Law, a sacred text that served as the basis for Thelema. ”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aleister_Crowley

Crowley’s Mumbo Jumbo provided the basis for L. Ron Hubbard’s Scientology and indirectly NXIVM.

Crowley’s “Do what thou wilt” sounds a lot like Raniere’s emphasis on experiencing “Joy.”

Crowley gained notoriety during his lifetime as a recreational drug experimenter and bisexual.

Crowley was a libertine much like Raniere.

Crowley was bisexual, but exhibited a sexual preference for women, with homosexual relationships being fewer and more in the early part of his life.

He had an attraction toward “exotic women” and in later life, Crowley was able to attract young bohemian women as his lovers.  During homosexual anal intercourse, he played the passive role.

Crowley had frequent sex with prostitutes leading to his venereal diseases, much like Raniere’s rumored herpes.

Keith Alan Raniere in his days as the Vanguard

Like Raniere, Crowley exhibited signs of anti-Semitism.

Crowley insulted his Jewish friend, Victor Neuburg, using anti-Semitic slurs and had mixed opinions about Jews. He praised their “sublime” poetry and their “imagination, romance, loyalty, probity and humanity”.

He also said that centuries of persecution led some Jews to exhibit “avarice, servility, falseness, cunning and the rest”

Women were insulted by Crowley’s views of them.

“Crowley described women as “moral inferiors” who had to be treated with “firmness, kindness, and justice”.

Raniere said that women were weak-willed and did not uphold honor like men do. This was the basis of his teachings in SOP and Jness. Indeed, it was Raniere’s idea that DOS, the master-slave group would end the moral inferiority of women, He wanted women to become bad-asses.

“According to Catherine Oxenberg’s book “Captive”, Allison Mack was obsessed with the notion of penance.”

I Don’t have to read further to understand that 1. you are again talking out of your ass and will say BS and 2. It’s not going to be against Raniere but will probably find a way to defend him again.

So to the first ,i’ll answer : And Oxenberg was proved to be BSting about several things , trying to accuse Allison of many things proven to be untrue during the trial…

Allison wasn’t designer nor Creator of Dos and it was not her choice …This is clear when you actually Don’t make up stuff and read the court documents.

For the 2nd : i can only say “get help”.

Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum mention Allison Mack and NXIVM but nothing about Kristin Kreuk.

Thanks Pyriel!!! Great link!

The quotes by Rosenbaum is very telling “things add up” now and Rosenbaum references that Allison Mack participated in other self help groups.

Anyone know what other groups Alison Mack belonged to?

“Allison Mack participated in other self help groups.”

People who join one cult are open to joining other cults.
Mark Vicente dabbled in Ramtha and then joined NXIVM.
Sahajo Haertel was in the OSHO cult and then joined NXIVM.

Allison Mack also dabbled in esoteric Eastern religions like Hinduism and Islam.
In this picture Mack has a book open to a Hindu Peace Prayer that goes “Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.”
This book also has a passage from the Islamic Quran.
People who join cults are spiritually and intellectually empty inside.

I think Nickvi Clyne will hop cults too.

When she realises that she’s wasting her time doing chest compressions on NXIVM.

And keep in mind the triangle/pyramid on Crowley’s hat, it’s the foretelling of Amway and other MLM scams.

Shadowstate,

I very much enjoyed reading your article.

It seems Crowley had something in common with the great Julius Caesar.

Plutarch wrote of Caesar…

“He was every woman’s man and every man’s woman.”

I have a bad feeling that a thousand years from now there will still be Crowleys and Ranieres plying their trade.

Hopefully there will be Frank Parlatos to stop them.

“Hopefully there will be Frank Parlatos to stop them.”

I second that thought.
As long as we have a First Amendment that protects Free Speech and Free Press I believe America will do just fine.

As an aside when I was in High School (circa 1974) my Western History teacher, a woman who is now deceased, gave a lecture where she told the class, “When the Roman Army marched into town the old women not only had to lock up the girls for their protection but they also had to lock up the boys.”
So I know that the ancient world had much different ideas about sexuality.

Well that’s stuff is still going on in some cultures……

The Frontline documentary “The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan”, showcases the fact that in some places in the world pedophilia
is part of the culture.

Literally there version of an American bachelor party is…… imagine the worst possible things you can…. and that is an Afghanistan Bachelor party. Literally Sodom and Gommorah but 10 times worse…….

An Afghanistan expression meantioned in the documentary goes as follows, “Women are for breeding boys are for pleasure.”

FOX news actually reported the same thing.

When Public Telivision and Fox News are in agreement you know the information(news) is true.

Suffice to say that that particular documentary is the most disturbing documentary I have ever seen in my entire life.

Chickyrogue,
I enjoy looking at the international media because they offer a fresh perspective.
That includes Russia Today.
The Western media can be as biased as the old Soviet media at times.

Most Americans have no idea what the Dancing Boys of Afghanistan are.
If they did they would be shocked and outraged.

It’s incredible disturbing especially because it’s a culturally accepted practice in Afghanistan.

“The Dancing Boys of Afghanistan”

For those of you who don’t know about the Dancing Boys of Afghanistan, in that country grown men dress up 12 to 14 year old boys as women in women’s clothing and make up and make the boys dance.
And then rape the boys.
American troops who witness this sad spectacle or hear the boys screaming are under strict orders not to interfere.
If the American soldiers interfere, they are subject to court martial.

Bacha bazi, also known as bacchá (from the Persian bacheh بچه‌), literally “playing with boys” in Persian, Pashto and Hindi-Urdu), is a form of sexual slavery and child prostitution[2] in which prepubescent and adolescent boys are sold to wealthy or powerful men for entertainment and sexual activities. This business thrives in Afghanistan, where many men keep dancing boys as status symbols.

Scott,

What an astonishing observation you have made…..

…..you must have remembered that I have no children and therefore deduced none of the future Frank Parlatos will be by my descendants….

…..I apologize! I underestimated your intelligence and logic skills.

Scott BTW, will you be coming to my home to paint a fresco with some of the surplus Amway Liquid Soap™ stored in your garage?

Frescos have been out of style for over a millennia(1000 years). It would be so retro chic!!!!

My wife would love a Fresco painted with real Amway Liquid Soap™.
It would be so avant-garde and patriotic at the same time.

Talk to you soon good-buddy!!!! Looking forward to having a beer and hanging out!!!!

Crowley and Raniere are alike insofar as both are (were) nuts.

They’re both examples of a nasty human being.

But that’s pretty much where the similarity ends. Crowley was an occultist, bisexual, a world wanderer, and a prolific author. He wrote poetry and fiction as well as his looney occult visions, he rubbed shoulders with painters, sculptors, and writers in Paris, London, and Berlin. He lived in North Africa and the Far East, he bought an estate in Scotland, wore the kilt and passed himself off as a Scottish Laird. He considered himself a gentleman and did not believe in getting paid for teaching the mysteries of the occult. Rainiere is the exact opposite; his “technology” is very much for sale, he wouldn’t know the arts if they bit him on the ass, and preferred to remain glued to the environs of upstate New York, living in a tacky suburban development in Nowheresville, NY. Crowley was an asshole, but he was an asshole with good taste and wide ranging interests. He ran through his fortune by the time he was forty, traveled the world, scaled mountains, and had a grand time. He inspired a Somerset Maugham novel, The Magician.

Crowley is interesting. Rainiere is not; he’s a money-grubbing little man whose vision of the good life never went beyond sleeping most of the day, eating pizza, and getting laid. He’s mercenary, he loves money, but doesn’t know what to do with it, other than lose it in bad investments. See the world? Nah, he’d rather sprawl on a dirty couch and watch reruns of Star Trek. The man led the most uninteresting life imaginable and the most remarkable thing about him is that he managed to screw up so spectacularly. Hannah Arendt famously wrote of “the banality of evil”; Raniere would be the perfect contemporary illustration of the concept except I can’t elevate his tawdry nastiness to the level of Evil.

I’m no defender of Aleister Crowley, he hit his wife and sacrificed small animals. The only reason I have posted about him is in response to other posts. Just to correct the record. In the popular imagination Crowley is this great evil, a Satanist and the opponent of all that is good and holy. In fact he was not a Satanist, he was a Pagan. And yes, there is a difference. The son of fanatically religious parents, he rebelled against the restrictive Victorian moralism of his youth. He was Gay in both senses of the word. He was an interesting eccentric whereas Keith Raniere is a surpassingly dull felon. Rainier is perhaps the least interesting racketeer in the history of racketeering. He ruined lives and burned through others’ money for nothing, not even for the sake of a grandiose lifestyle for himself. The man is literally a waste of space.

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
