For those who think Nxivm is deader than a door nail, think again.
Only six members of Nxivm were indicted and many of the most guilty will – unless there are additional indictments – perhaps in the Northern District – go scot-free.
In an upcoming post, I will try to provide a list of those still holding Nxivm together.
The Society of Protectors is a subgroup within Nxivm, made up of Nxivm males (it is not right to call them men) who follow the wisdom and the teachings of the Vanguard – on how men should behave with women.
Some have mocked this group – but it was a lucrative business venture (Raniere kept the company in Pam Cafritz’s name) and at one time had 100s of members each paying monthly fees and taking expensive SOP weekend retreats periodically.
It raked in so much money that somehow they could not even keep track of how much and, therefore, could never quite report it to any governmental agency such as the IRS.
Some of the principle teachings of SOP was that men are naturally polygamous and women naturally monogamous – and that women should accept this wondrous gender difference and celebrate it – that a man should have multiple sex partners – that it is natural and biologically right.
While the woman must – it is imperative – be faithful to only her man.
Another teaching is that women are spoiled; pampered princesses and that men take all the hard blows in the world while women skate by claiming to be victims when they have all the advantages.
Yet another teaching – promulgated by the Vanguard himself – he practiced what he preached – is that if a man ejaculates on a woman – he has marked her as his own [much like a dog spraying.]
The woman so marked then belongs to the man gracious enough to provide his ejaculate upon her.
(I have, thanks to a former SOP student, a secret recording of Keith Raniere giving the entire secret SOP curriculum – it is something like 8 hours of the Vanguard teachings for men. I once tried to post it on Youtube.com but Keith filed a copyright infringement claim and Youtube deleted my recording. Happily, I have ample backup copies. In fact, through an attorney, I provided a copy to law enforcement for their delectation and edification.)
Yes, it was quite an attractive philosophy for followers of Raniere, for it seemed to give them permission to be mini-Vanguards and their women were deemed most selfish indeed if they:
A. Objected to their man’s philandering.
B. Philandered themselves.

Groups like NXIVM don’t just dry up and blow away – plus they seem to have a significant, somewhat separate presence in Mexico, with some very wealthy backers.
It would be very interesting to know what is going on among those who remain, how many there are and how they are coping and organizing themselves. Is there much information available?
Particularly in Albany, they’ve got to be reeling, and losing those who aren’t absolutely loyal. I don’t see how they can recruit with Raniere discredited, particularly since there is no one of any stature left to take his place as leader. If he were to beat the charges, I could see that he might lead a band of remaining followers. Otherwise, I think NXIVM will continue to lose members until there are just a few diehard loyalists left in the Albany area, probably mostly women, Raniere’s counterparts to Manson’s girls like “Squeaky” Fromme and Sandra Good who have remained defenders on the outside, and committed to promoting his supposed environmental philosophy, ATWA.
On the left part of the picture above appears Angel Smith, the first of Raniere’s many girlfriends. Even if they split decades ago (before CBL), Smith still stood very closed to her ex for years, as she appears in many pictures of Nxvim era. Was she part of NXVIM? Why did she stay behind her ex for decades? We know she let her daughter works for Raniere, wich is really suspicious.

The Frank Report has already talked about a Mexican woman who was unlawfully confined by the Salzmans for 18 months with the connivance of the woman’s family. Unless this is a new case the stories about this woman should still be in the Frank Report archives.

I have been around just not as frequently as I was last summer. What my question is, is if Jim delNegro and others, like Karen Unterreiner are the others mentioned in the charges. Both have been lying low since Vanguard’s arrest. I read the lurid details of Jim’s claim of being attacked by another man’s wife, and I am not sure I am buying it.
I am wondering also if maybe Karen didn’t provide information to the government on the financial crimes of NXIVM, considering her long history with KR and her knowledge of the financial workings of the organization. Just a thought.
I can’t imagine all these loyal people just fading into the woodwork, when someone like Kathy Russell is taking the fall for so much of the criminal activity.

Jim and Karen have not been charged with anything. If I remember correctly, Frank has stated that believes no more person will be charged federally at this point in time. Some of the higher up individuals in Nxivm may be charged by New York State. Frank seems to suggest that it is impossible to forecast who if anyone will be charged next.
My personal belief is that any additional criminal charges against any of the defendants or new individuals being charged, will hang solely on how much publicity the trial receives and how much public outrage occurs.
It also depends on how many other important cases the Feds have on their plates and how much the defendants who plead guilty squeal.
