Judge to make decision – what to do with Raniere now that he suffers so?

Keith Raniere could get people to do the craziest things.

The Metropolitan Detention Center [MDC] in Brooklyn is bad on its best day, but following a fire on January 27, things got worse, not only for Vanguard, but for all 1,600 prisoners caged there.

Attorney Marc Agnifilo, as part of his Third Motion for Bond, tells how Raniere is suffering:

  1. MDC has been without heat, electricity, hot water, commissary or warm food since January 27, 2019.
  2. MDC has not provided Raniere with means to keep warm.
  3. The temperature is 44 degrees.
  4. Corrections officers are wearing masks to avoid the smell of noxious fumes, but have not provided masks to inmates.
  5. Raniere can’t see his lawyers to prepare for trial.

Related image
According to Marc Agnifilo: In the frigid temperatures during the Polar Vortex this week, one of Raniere’s lawyers, Danielle Smith, traveled to MDC from Albany [3 hours drive each way] to see Raniere and assess the situation. The guards would not let her in. Why did this brave lady have to risk the Polar Vortex? Couldn’t one of Raniere’s attorneys in Brooklyn have gone? Did she bill full rate for the hours in her car?
As with all things Raniere, one has to double check for ethical lying.  It appears this time he was not.  Inside MDC, on each floor of the 14-story prison, passersby saw prisoners frantically banging on walls and gesturing for help.

According to witnesses and as reported in the New York Daily News and the New York Post:

  1. MDC has no electricity and is operating on a generator.
  2. There’s only heat in the afternoons.
  3. Reportedly, according to a prison guard, the temperatures have dipped as low as 33 degrees.
  4. Prison guards are wearing scarves, winter hats, and coats inside while they work.
  5. The darkness makes it dangerous for guards to move inmates.
  6. Prisoners have suffered in the cold for more than a week, nearly freezing in the dark.
  7. Many can’t sleep. Their throats are hurting.
  8. On the day following the fire, inmates got no lunch and only cold food for dinner. Some of the prisoners on restricted diets got only bread or went without food.
  9. Since then, food is served cold.
  10. Prisoners have tried to block vents in their cells with clothing and blankets to keep frigid air out.
  11. One prisoner claimed he had only been given the single, thin blanket received upon intake. He claimed he has not been provided additional blankets or clothing.
  12. Thermal shirts or pants and blankets are available from the commissary, but the commissary is not open.

It is not clear how soon conditions will be corrected.

Yet, is the one week or longer, of cold at MDC reason to release Raniere on bail, as Agnifilo suggests to Judge Garaufis?

If the judge were to release Raniere, wouldn’t every other inmate at MDC be entitled to similar treatment (I know there’s only Vanguard but I’m not sure the judge will see things that way)?

Can the government find a way to turn the heat and electricity back on, and serve warm food?

The judge can push for a speedy trial, but it seems that a superseding indictment is coming and will push the trial beyond the current April 29, 2019 start date.  Raniere could spend most of 2019 at MDC awaiting trial.

For years, Raniere claimed he was one of the world’s top three problem solvers. His claim was based on an obscure take-home IQ test that several witnesses say he cheated on – and a study that he himself conducted that concluded his rarity of problem-solving ability was one in 425 million. With an estimated 2,298,300 people incarcerated in the USA out of a population of 323 million, Raniere might be one of the top three smartest prisoners.

There are some who ask if Raniere could use brainwaves to heat up his cell? Keith Raniere’s brain [not a real photo of his brain] could set off radar detectors – he said.
Could he heat his cell with brainwaves like he set off radar detectors?

There is, of course, another explanation for what’s going on at MDC. Did Raniere grow tired of his attorneys’ inability to get him released on bail – and simply take matters into his own hands…er, I mean his own mind? Did he, in fact, cause this power outage at MDC by using his once-patent-pending-but-later-rejected tech to cause the fire in an attempt to win his freedom? If this doesn’t work, will he wreak further havoc on MDC and force the government to free all the inmates?

Stay tuned…

Its also been revealed that El Chapo regularly raped underage girls. They didn’t reveal that fact until yesterday, as the prosecution’s witness was involved in this as well, so they tried to hide that information.

It wasn’t rape. The age of consent in Mexico is 12.

How many times did Marc and his team meet with he VanTurd during the Christmas holidays to help him prepare for this complex case? Are visitors log public?
What a bunch of whiners, Raniere has a team of five attorneys. Most defendants are lucky is they can afford one. Some are stuck with an over worked public defender tha they might see a handful of times the entire time.

Raniere isn’t even paying for his expensive dream team. He should be grateful but instead he whines like a little crybaby Jane bitch

Seems KAR’s unique problem was all this MDC catastrophe stymied his “due process rights” to IM and EM his attorneys near daily. (Lucky for Danielle Smith.)

I have an idea, why doesn’t Marc Agnifilo move in to MDC to ensure he can meet with his client whenever KAR’s in the mood?

That’ll not only protect KAR’s due process rights no matter what act of God or other lesser being threatens to interfere with those, but Marc can start working on Clare’s next lawsuit against MDC on Vanguard’s (maybe even soon her own) behalf.

I’m sure Clare’s $$$$$ are burning a new hole in her pocket since she’s not replenishing any other defense funds.

And it would be a huge benefit to her soon unrepresented co-defendants if they can get MDC in better shape for their upcoming stays!

For anybody worrying about the inmates here is a link https://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/09/health/09brody.html.
to a better hypothermia article in the New York Times on hypothermia. Keith and the other inmates would already have been succumbing to hypothermia if it were so cold for such a long period of time. When you fall asleep you become incredible susceptible to hypothermia. One of the inmates would have all ready been hospitalized.

I did not add the link in my previous comment regarding hypothermia.

Mind over matter. Keith could imagine he is back in sunny Mexico, lounging by the pool his little Spandex (which miraculously appeared on the the floor outside his room). Failing that he could physically create heat by star jumping in the morning and enjoying the heaters being turned on in the afternoon.

In regards to the cold….
Allow me to point out the obvious. Inmates would have already started to succumb to Hypothermia!!! If it were really that cold.

The bottom link is to an informative article regarding the cold. At the very bottom of the article past the frostbite chart there is a gray and white Hypothermia chart.

I am outdoors person. Kieth and the other inmates would have been dropping like flies by now or at least be in the hospital.

The fact that serious news journalist and reporters at news papers and tv networks do no research and report bullshit is so unbelievable annoying.

That’s a chart for water, not air.

Scott- my bad. I added the New York Times article. I thought that it was a ambient outdoor temperature chart without reading it.

Yes it was ridiculous chart to include in my comment.

I don’t think a true chart for ambient temperature and hypothermia exists. Just charts for frostbite or charts for hypothermia when submerged in water.
I wasted a decent amount of time on my Saturday off and was unable to find. Lol

My biggest fear is that some way Raniere makes bail. Stranger things have happened in the American legal system. At first blush it sounds preposterous but similar events have happened.

I doubt the judge is going to single Raniere out of the 1,600 or so other inmates so that he can warm up his square feet.

I think many of us share your fears, niceguy — and to be painfully fair, it might well seem to some that KAR’s ass has been incarcerated in a very nasty place for a long-ass time for a yet-to-be-tried person. I like your, “c’mon, it ain’t all THAT bad,” scientifically provable strategy. But the problemo is we all who know a tinge, know KAR outta be in a MAXIMUM SECURITY Solitary confinement, Hannibal Lecter cage and outfit complete with the mask to avoid his escape or further endangerment to society – especially under age girls.

We don’t need to waste our tax dollars on a supermax prison for Raniere. He can’t judo his way out of a wet paper bag – he is too soft and his feet are too square.

Frank is now promoting exaggerations and bullshit.

Here’s my own response to every single claim repeated by Frank, numbered 1 thru 12:

=====================

1) MDC has no electricity and is operating on a generator.

My response: That’s a contradiction. If a generator is running, at least some electricity exists since the whole point of a generator is to take fuel and convert it to electrical output. They have electricity, just not as much as usual. Boo-hoo.

=====================

2) There’s only heat in the afternoons.

My response: Thank you for confirming that the sun rises in the day and sets in the night.

=====================

3) Reportedly, according to a prison guard, the temperatures have dipped as low as 33 degrees.

My response: Unless he goes on the record by giving his full name, he’s an EXAGGERATING SACK OF SHIT.

It’s also interesting that he chose “33 degrees” as the number, which is very fishy.

It’s fishy because it’s just one degree above the temperature at which water turns to ice (which means he’s probably LYING since one degree colder and they’d be living with icicles and drinking ice cubes).

It’s rather CONVENIENT that he chose the coldest temperature possible right before water turns to ice, since just one degree colder and he’d be exposed as a lying sack of shit because internal water would freeze below that temperature. This guard is probably a bleeding heart.

*But even if he’s telling the truth, 33 degrees is still warm enough to melt ice cream.

=====================

4) Prison guards are wearing scarves, winter hats, and coats inside while they work.

My response: Guards are wearing ‘coats’ in winter time? Say it ain’t so. Let’s call the fucken president. Guess what? Lots of people wear coats on the job when the heater goes out in their office. Stop being so dramatic, Frank.

=====================

5) The darkness makes it dangerous for guards to move inmates.

My response: I don’t think ‘darkness’ is gonna compete with the DAILY DANGER of prisoners raping and beating each other or attacking a guard at any moment. Stop being overly dramatic, Frank. It’s fucken prison. It’s always dangerous.

=====================

6) Prisoners have suffered in the cold for more than a week, nearly freezing in the dark.

My response: Then WHY hasn’t anybody ACTUALLY FROZEN in the dark yet?

Why is it that they’ve only “nearly froze” in the dark? LOL.

Sounds like overly dramatic BULLSHIT to me.

Statistically speaking, a certain percentage of prisoners should have ALREADY FROZEN in the dark if conditions were that bad. Try consulting a statistician, Frank. You’ll never have a situation where everybody in a group nearly does something if conditions are on the verge of chaos. If it’s TRULY that bad, some of them should have frozen by now. If not, it means somebody is EXAGGERATING.

=====================

7) Many can’t sleep. Their throats are hurting.

My response: That’s what Dayquil is for. If non-alcoholic Dayquil isn’t available to inmates, they have Heroin which can offer some of the same benefits. Heroin in smuggled inside their buttholes and is readily available on the prison black market.

=====================

8) On the day following the fire, inmates got no lunch and only cold food for dinner. Some of the prisoners on restricted diets got only bread or went without food.

My Response: Only cold food for dinner? Oh no, call the WHAAAAMBULANCE! Guess what, Frank? We have THOUSANDS of kids in 3rd world countries STARVING TO DEATH every single day and yet Frank is worried that these prisoners only get cold food for a few days?

Guess what? Ice cream is a “cold food” and it tastes pretty fucking delicious, if you ask me. Cold pizza is great too. Go cry somebody else a river, Frank. You’re too soft.

=====================

9) Since then, food is served cold.

My response: Cold cut sandwiches are meant to be served cold and they taste just fine. Go cry us a river, Frank.

=====================

10) Prisoners have tried to block vents in their cells with clothing and blankets to keep frigid air out.

My response: Aha! So they ADMIT to having SO MANY EXTRA BLANKETS that they can use the extra ones to block vents with?

I just proved my own point, Frank! They have blankets GALORE to keep warm with. Stop this overly dramatic crying, Frank.

=====================

11) One prisoner claimed he had only been given the single, thin blanket received upon intake. He claimed he has not been provided additional blankets or clothing.

My Response: Then WHY THE FUCK did Frank just admit that prisoners have SO MANY EXTRA BLANKETS that they’re using them to STUFF THE VENTS of their cells?

Frank is now contradicting himself.

Also… Gimme the NAME of this supposed “prisoner” who was denied a blanket, Frank. Without a name he’s just an anonymous LYING SACK OF SHIT.

=====================

12) Thermal shirts or pants and blankets are available from the commissary, but the commissary is not open.

My Response: Another LIE since Frank already ADMITTED that prisoners have SO MANY EXTRA BLANKETS that they’re using the extra blankets to STUFF VENTS with.

=====================

*Frank is now stooping to a new low by giving credibility to these BULLSHIT exaggerations made by anonymous sources from some news article that he read.

Stop it Frank!

Okay boys and girls it’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt; oh wait someone has already been hurt. It’s Frank and all the other people, including children ,including children!!!! Remember what this is all about. It’s about putting away a bad man and the bad apples who fell from the tree with him.
Frank is a very funny man. Sure he stetches things a bit here and there, so what.
Mr. Raniere would not be the butt of all jokes had he not targeted Frank Parlato. However if he had not targeted FP then his perverted ass would not be in jail.
Thanks for taking one on the chin Frank, you did good…..

1) What does it feel like pretending to fight a rapist pedophile on a tax payer funded television show when you stayed loyal to one in real life?

2) Did you not feel hypocritical portraying yourself as the saviour of teen girls in a tv show, filmed while you refused to even acknowledge the existence of NXIVM, refusing to use your d-list fame to draw attention to the story of many women being branded above their vaginas with the initials of a woman you recruited into the NXIVM cult, an organisation you spent years and years in, coaching and recruiting for, spending a fuck-load of money on and happy to try to legitimise with your fame to fight off the cult label?

3) The fictional character “Luna” is the bi-product of a fictional, interracial, pedophile rape. Why did you not care about the plight of all those real life women who came forward in the Times Union articles that you were named in, talking about how the cult leader you followed raped them as children? Did you not believe them or did you not care? What about Rhiannon, Kristin Snyder and Gina Hutchinson? That is real life, not a tax payer funded television show.

I say let him suffer.

Scott Johnson (@ScottTexJohnson)

Looks like El Chapo and Raniere were copying each others’ behavior: hiding out in Mexico, having sex with multiple women, walking around after waking up late in the day, living a life based on taking advantage of others, etc.: https://www.oann.com/el-chapo-trial-reveals-drug-lords-love-life-business-dealings/

Scott Johnson (@ScottTexJohnson)

There is no reason to do anything different for Raniere than the rest of the inmates at MDC.
