Shadow State, your questions to Allison Mack are direct and compelling.
According to the defendant’s attorney, Sean S. Buckley, in cases involving forced labor and extortion, one must have “knowledge and intent” to break the law.
And, the burden of proof for knowledge and intent is on the prosecution.
According to Mack, she was participating in a women’s club that was centered around accountability in reaching one’s goals (not centered around sex as a main goal).
From my observation, Mack is someone who has a strong “false self”. People who have false selves don’t know who they are; their main goal is to please other people to give them a sense of self even if it means doing stupid, idiotic things that are not in their long term best interest.
In the courtroom on Wednesday, Mack displayed the false self at full speed. She acted like a party host despite it being inappropriate, considering the grim circumstances.
How will a jury find her? I have no idea, but it is believable that she did not have “knowledge and intent” that she was breaking the law.
Will a jury find her guilty anyway because she “should have known”. Juries are guided by emotion as much as reason, so they absolutely could.

To lot of people – screaming and crying during tattoo or branding should result in criminal charges even if voluntary.
So a big factor is whether justice system bends the rules by ensuring a tattoo-less jury. The federal system is very politically conscious of both what politicians and the conservative PC conscious community wants (yes mainstream “liberal” but PC Democrats have a conservative side).
Then there is the whole tangle of outraged morality and ethics — but which may not be illegal under commonly enforced law. (Mann Act casts a very wide net over any sex involving travel — but it has not been named yet).
Bottomline: Justice under Democracy has the downside that if a public or political majority strongly objects to your behavior — you will be found guilty of something — even if existing laws were not clearly broken.
So Allison Mack will burn because the public is disappointed that someone with her prior celebrity public personality (bright perky clean) choose to indulge herself to the max in deviant behavior. A broken role model worse than Miley Cyrus (cause we got teen hints she was not an angel.) LOL

Ignorance of the law excuses not. Even if it’s your ‘false self’ that’s claiming ignorance.
Tom: What you called a ‘false self’, might be what I’ve also seen referred to as a Cult Personality. The cult member’s real personality is submerged, and their persona becomes aligned to the cult leaders will. This can make people act in cruel and abusive ways. It also makes acting against one’s own self-interest into a badge of honor instead of a denial of common sense.
I would think that;
her admiting owmership in the fact that she came up with the concept of branding women while naked,
force feeding them addictive drugs,
imprisonment, etc, 4 not following the instructions 2 have sex with keith & document all that,
the collection of collateral,
kinky sex she participated in,
the diet, pubic hair & all sexual requirements 4 keith’s pleasure,
4 starters makes it hard 2 believe that a reasonable jury will overlook finding her not guilty by reason of “false self” or any such associated excuses.
But I’m not a legal scholar, just my good common sense.
The force-feeding of drugs is an allegation that I’ve read only at the gossip site Crazy Days and Nights. I wouldn’t put it past them, but I’d have to see some corroboration to believe it. I wonder what will be in superseding indictment.
Just because behavior is deviant and offends “whitebread” folk does not necessarily make it illegal.
In your list only force feeding drugs would be clearly illegal in a voluntary S&M / B&D relationship.
For the innocent of heart — bondage and imprisonment are common part of the S&M / B&D roleplaying. However sessions longer than weekend are unusual for people with jobs or family. Lack of “safewords” would be stupid too.
Neither brandings or tattoos are illegal even if the pain makes you cry. Getting drunk/high before such processes is extremely common.
Being held down…something not uncommon for branding since movement smears the result. Prosecution will need to show “victims” could never have given prior agreement — if not continually high then mentally incompetent due to temporary insanity.
Regret and repentance by former members does not make them “victims”…especially 10 year members who clearly could have left at anytime. Absolutely no one claims imprisonment for months at a time. But lots of regretful people do like to blame others for their decisions.
How can it be blackmail when you begged to give them the materials so you can join?
Keeping materials? Well tons of celebrity signed away nude photo rights early in life then regretted it.
Its not even clear whether anyone filed legal writs to attempt to get materials returned. I suspect not.
None of the material taken has been revenge posted. Its much more likely to be leaked by federal court system. FFOA or something.
But take heart. Clearly Mack and associates will burn. Juries can convict due to outrage alone regardless of laws actually broken – just as easily they can nullify laws. Ain’t Democracy great?

Either she didn’t know what she was doing is wrong, harmful & criminal, and she is therefore a danger to society as a whole, or she knew what she was doing is wrong, harmful & criminal, and she is therefore a danger to society as a whole.
I would be amazed if her D-list acting skills get her out of this one.
Acting bubbly & giddy & friendly is probably not going to save her. Especially since the defense team is saying everything she did is fine because their warped version of consent. If anything, it only makes her look more evil.
Regret, repentance, and embarrassment often change consent to “I was forced”.
Ten years of membership tend to tell the real story.
Not 10 years of continuous imprisonment. Not escorted everywhere by thugs the entire time.
Public absolution by court verdict, career boost or cash for my story seem more likely reasons to go public.
Oh and got caught by husband or boyfriend too.
Sounds like Macks real crimes MIGHT include B&D / S&M fantasy dates with politicians and possible exchange cash – globe spanning.
Could have disappeared under Patriot Act except for celebrity status requires at least a mock trial for public consumption.

Is she the vain, shallow actress or the calculating, cunning, ambitious cult leader?
At the December court hearing Frank Parlato noted that Mack was trying to make eye contact with any man who would glance at her.
At the time I noted that Mack was engaged in highly inappropriate conduct for a court hearing.

I find your alleged concern for Allison compelling, Tom. Especially coming from a legal minded person, old enough to quote Buckley.
If you had any real concern for Allison’s fate in this, you’d be advising her to cooperate with investigators not image-makers. The FACT of Allison’s aforeknowledge has already been exposed on FR and other media.
