A couple of times he says Emiliano Salinas suggested Peterson take Nxivm classes. When Peterson declined to take the classes, that was the end of the matter. Even Peterson didn’t really see a connection. To the extent Peterson reached out you at Frank Report, I think he made it more about Emiliano and NXIVM because that was your primary focus.
The Burke thing I’m sure got your attention, but he wanted to make sure.
Peterson has an agenda and I doubt it has anything to do with Nxivm. If, however, he is telling you about Burke’s efforts to intimidate witnesses to do things “the NXIVM way,” be skeptical unless you can find corroboration.
As for the Nxivm defense trust, I hope this plays out publicly. If Burke is involved in the trust administration, and it can be established that he is the pool coordinator, that could be really big news.
I think also that you may soon have something very definite to report on concerning Alejandro Betancourt.
One of the items on the list of big picture privilege issue the government wants to investigate concerns a lawyer involved in the bogus charges and intimidation letters to US persons.
Betancourt was in the thick of things there – not just Clare Bronfman and Keith Raniere.
Overall, I’m not your biggest fan, but your reporting on developments in the criminal proceedings has been fairly accurate. Which people need. Keep up the good work. A lot of people out there need to understand.
And, as long as they do, I anticipate a second wave of people coming forward. All these recent filings indicate an investigation that is not winding down anytime soon.
We all anticipate a new superseding. The more filings I see, the more I think maybe it won’t even be the last.
If lawyers and public officials are now subjects or possible targets, many people, including you and John Tighe, will be vindicated in a very big way.

This article reads like it was written by Dennis Burke.
Exactly what I have been saying.
Peterson is using his lawsuit as a smokescreen to try to jump on NXIVM bandwagon n blame others for his fraud.
The best thing he can do is return the $10 Million dollars he swindled from senior citizens with his fake online payday loan service.
Instead of using the money to create a company, Peterson used it to pay for personal expenses and then divert $500,000 to his own accounts.
Start with that Jeff. Instead of suing mystery John Does that don’t exist, except for in your mind.
And stop hiding out in Canada. Get back to Arizona and turn yourself in. And don’t threaten readers of the Frank Report with lawsuits for exposing your scam.
And no I’m not Dennis Burke. Duh. Peterson sees his enemies everywhere. But the biggest crook is the one he sees every day in the mirror.

First, Burke authors a sham letter to Frank Parlato, using the name “NYC Lawyer with Contacts”, in a tone reflecting an agonized attempt to sound humble, trying to appeal to Parlato’s good natured side. “Overall, I’m not your biggest fan, but your reporting on developments in the criminal proceedings has been fairly accurate. Which people need. Keep up the good work,” writes the man who helped smuggle weapons to Mexican cartels.
American Border Patrol officers were killed with some of the weapons Burke helped to smuggle.
His attempt to sound like a “nice guy” through pseudonym accounts is a disgusting, even creepy display of narcissistic psychosis.
Then, as if his subtle display of schizophrenia on demand wasn’t enough to give you the heebie-jeebies about Burke, he comments on his own post.
“Exactly what I have been saying,” writes the man who resigned in shame from his job as U.S. Attorney for Arizona, accused of lying and leaking documents to retaliate against a coworker after trafficking weapons to Mexican drug cartels.
In this display of self-serving shillery, as with his other posts, on the first day of the new year, Dennis Burke vomits his usual garbage on to the frankreport blog.
“fraud…turn yourself in…scam…crook…” writes DeezNuts, echoing the emails Burke previously sent to Peterson and Peterson’s business partner in 2016 while he was trying to create fear.
Burke is still orchestrating the same “criminal attack scheme,” years later.
Sad!
I too remain skeptical of Peterson. I just don’t buy he is all pure and innocent. He doesn’t pass my “smell” test.
Are you going to share with us the specific reasons for your “skepticism?” Or are you simply recirculating negative innuendo because it’s generally easier for the human brain to be negative, cynical and hateful, than to consider factual details and take a stand?
Peterson made a big claim through his Social Media on July 21, 2018. The claim was that he had previously overheard ICE/DHS admins speak about Emiliano Salinas, NXIVM, and “visas 4 Mexicans.”

On 12/28/2018, five months after Peterson made his initial accusations against his former Arizona Mafia friends, prosecutors in the NXIVM case filed a memorandum of law alleging John Sandweg, formerly Acting General Counsel for DHS and ICE, is under investigation in connection with NXIVM parties. According to the memorandum, Sandweg used his former DHS and ICE job titles in an attempt to persuade the United States Embassy in Mexico to grant a visa to Marianna Fernandez, the mother of Keith Raniere’s child in an alleged “scheme to circumvent the immigration laws”. (page 24)

The exact claims made by Peterson on July 21, 2018 on his Twitter account, have now surfaced in a document filed by prosecutors. Stop for a moment and consider it again. Those are the precise, exact claims previously made by Peterson. It has been proven that Peterson’s claims were accurate. Yet you “remain skeptical?”
Why?
Can you articulate meaningful reasons for your “skepticism?”
Or are you just shilling for Burke or Sandweg’s negativity machine?
A previous article, written by someone with the name “NYC Lawyer with Contacts”, opens with an inaccurate statement. “Leaving aside everything else he says, Jeffrey Peterson has never said in his lawsuit that there is a NXIVM connection to the alleged threats against him.” That is wrong.
The article appears to have been authored by a writer who may be concerned the government could soon raise various issues with respect to Dennis Burke’s involvement with Emiliano Salinas and NXIVM defendants such as Clare Bronfman. Hmmm. Who would be incentivized to write such an article?
The article was defective because Peterson has indeed alleged there are numerous NXIVM connections to his pending lawsuit against Dennis Burke, including threats that were improperly made against him by at least one NXIVM representative, Mr. Burke himself.
By the way, Peterson’s recently filed lawsuit against Dennis Burke is available to read online, at Peterson’s Twitter account, @realJeffreyP.
Peterson’s lawsuit is intended to tell his story to a jury: that Dennis Burke, formerly Peterson’s business partner and friend during respective periods of three and ten years, intentionally coordinated a lengthy retaliatory campaign designed to harm Peterson’s reputation, credibility (and life) in an anticipatory fashion that continues through present day (as some frankreport readers may have noticed, given certain website posts and comments Peterson believes are made by Burke in an effort to save himself). The retaliatory campaign was allegedly conceptualized by Burke with ill intent; among other reasons, to tear down Peterson in advance of bad acts Burke had knowingly planned; Burke’s NXIVM-related activities were a significant part of his plans. Such NXIVM-related activities are alleged to have occurred as a result of Burke’s growing relationship with Emiliano Salinas and the Salinas parties of Mexico that were, according to the lawsuit, blossoming at the time Peterson declined an invitation from Salinas to join ESP, the Mexican branch of NXIVM.
In the NXIVM criminal case, the government has stated “the means and methods by which the [NXIVM] defendants participated in the conduct of the affairs of the Enterprise were … ‘using harassment, coercion and abusive litigation to intimidate and attack perceived enemies and critics’ of Raniere.” But where did Raniere first learn, or learn to improve his use and application of such Machiavellian methods if not originally learned elsewhere?
Historically, “criminal investigations” were often threatened against NXIVM dissenters. Enemies and critics of NXIVM were threatened with prison. NXIVM representatives are accused of manufacturing bogus allegations of criminal activity against enemies. NXIVM, Raniere and certain parties in Mexico related to NXIVM did everything in their power to criminalize enemies.
In fact, it has surfaced through the course of the government’s case against NXIVM, that such “criminalization” of enemies was NXIVM’s preferred modus operandi. NXIVM representatives even tried to criminalize Frank Parlato, who remains similarly situated as other NXIVM victims; Parlato is still dealing with the fallout from previous NXIVM-inspired attacks.
In Peterson’s lawsuit against Burke, these NXIVM-styled bullying and intimidation tactics are alleged to have been used by Burke against Peterson, out of a NXIVM “playbook.”
Peterson has claimed on his Twitter channel that such an agenda of “criminalizing” enemies bears a resemblance to the “Machiavellian playbook” historically used by the Mexican PRI political party. The PRI was formerly led by Mexican President Carlos Salinas and is currently led by Claudia Ruiz Massieu Salinas, who is a close ally of Burke’s business partner, Marco A. Lopez Jr.
Curiously, the NXIVM representative who allegedly invited Peterson to join ESP, NXIVM’s branch in Mexico, is alleged to have been the would-be junior statesman of Mexico’s PRI, Emiliano Salinas.

Lopez was Peterson’s long-time “best friend” and closest collaborator in Arizona. Lopez allegedly introduced both Peterson and Burke to Emiliano Salinas. According to Peterson’s lawsuit, the years-long retaliatory campaign alleged to have been orchestrated against him by Burke started in 2014 when Peterson didn’t join NXIVM. Coincidence?
Peterson’s lawsuit claims Lopez threatened him in 2014 about revealing Lopez’s Salinas-related activities.
Which brings us to a critical question.
It seems both NXIVM and Dennis Burke used similar “criminalization” tactics and methods against enemies. When and where do such tactics and methods have their true origin? Remember, Peterson never had anything to do with NXIVM activities or personalities in New York. Peterson’s only exposure to NXIVM was an invitation to join ESP, made by Emiliano Salinas in 2014, in Mexico City.
Is the fact that similar retaliatory tactics are depicted (i) on the one hand in the government’s criminal lawsuit against NXIVM, thus far aimed at the Albany operation, and (ii) on the other hand in Peterson’s civil lawsuit against Dennis Burke et al, resulting from Mexico themed relationships, an indication that the NXIVM “criminalization playbook” had its roots not necessarily in Albany, but Mexico City?
Continuing with further analysis, it has now been confirmed in a court filing by the E.D.N.Y. prosecution that Dennis Burke is a part of the government’s ongoing NXIVM investigation. Burke was named as an NXIVM representative.
Seems as if Burke’s “invisible man” cover has been blown in a recent filing. Now as both a lawyer and a possible target, Burke appears to have more complex conflicts to resolve with his “clients” than did Constantinople in the decline of the Byzantine Empire.
Dennis Burke was sanctioned by the Arizona Bar on April 11, 2014 in case number PDJ 2014-9028 for violating lawyer Rule 42, Ariz. R. Sup. Ct., specifically ER 8.4., Misconduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation.
In May of 2013, former Deputy Attorney General of the United States, James Cole, chastised Burke for “lying….and for leaking [unauthorized documents]” in connection with the Obama-era Fast and Furious ATF gunwalking scandal.
It must be confusing for actual or potential NXIVM defendants to know that their lawyer, who they may have previously viewed as a sharp “government insider,” was previously called a liar by both federal (DOJ) and state (Arizona Bar) governments and has now been named in connection with the federal government’s ongoing NXIVM investigation.
NXIVM-related parties: Did Burke warn you about all of this before you paid him?
Amongst the recent string of legal losses, some elusive good news does await Burke’s “clients,” who include Clare Bronfman: According to the Arizona Bar website, Burke has Professional Liability Insurance coverage.
Responding to the article supposedly written by a “NYC Lawyer with Contacts,” there is clearly a NXIVM connection to the alleged threats against Peterson because Dennis Burke has been publicly named as a NXIVM representative by the government and Peterson’s lawsuit depicts retaliatory tactics and methods orchestrated by Burke in a similar fashion as those used by NXIVM, ostensibly for purposes including the concealment of NXIVM-related activities.
Furthermore, and as readers are well aware, it is rumored Burke coerced or intimidated numerous NXIVM witnesses or potential witnesses. Peterson himself may be a potential witness against Burke or others, certain of whom appear to be implicated by the government in improper acts to obtain visas for NXIVM related parties. In July of 2018, Peterson first publicly reported on his social media channel that he was present at social gatherings with former high level DHS executives when they spoke about abilities to “expedite” visas for Mexican nationals. Shortly thereafter, Peterson was first interviewed by a government agent.
Finally, it has been suggested that Burke may be the only individual who frequently comments on the frankreport website with intent to discredit or otherwise harm Peterson, wielding ridiculous claims, half truths and false statements. The article purportedly written by a “NYC Lawyer with Contacts” reads like another Dennis Burke shill post or as if it were again written by Dennis himself, using a new pseudonym.
What happened to Burke’s previous frankreport alias, “DeezNuts”? At least there was some levity in the old alias. Is the former U.S. Attorney losing his sense of humor as things heat up in the NXIVM kitchen? There’s certainly a lot of chefs who must be feeling the heat as the government starts to break apart the lock-step coordinated, possibly trust-fund incentivized activities of NXIVM defendants and/or witnesses.
Burke was accused of authoring another hit piece about Peterson, on Christmas Eve. The new article mentioned in this response has now surfaced on New Year’s Eve.
It’s enough to wonder exactly what Burke had on his mind, this holiday season; because clearly, he wasn’t out in the snow and the ice, nor was he ringing in the New Year with coco and spice;
By next Christmas, Santa may not be the only one who knows if Dennis Burke was naughty or nice. For now, we can be certain that Santa’s helper, Uncle Sam, is checking his list, and checking it twice.
Peterson told me on my radio show that when he turned down joining NXIVM, that was NOT the end of it. It was the beginning of a very drastic change in how he was treated by a lot of people in very high places, and we’re talking about the Arizona Mafia types.
