Several people have written to express their support for the new policy that Frank Report recently enacted with respect to readers’ comments (The new policy was announced in a November 26th post). A few have written to tell us what they think is wrong with it – or to complain that it’s being selectively enforced.
Just to review what the new policy entails, here’s a quick summary:
- No comment will be posted unless/until it has been reviewed by me or a member of the Frank Report staff;
- Comments that are rude to other commenters will not be posted*;
- Comments that have nothing to do with the topic of the post on which they’re made will not be posted (If you want to write something about a specific topic that you think is noteworthy, send it to me – and, unless it’s abusive to another reader/commenter, I’ll be happy to publish it); and
- Commenters that submit multiple comments on the same post will not have all those comments posted (No one reader is going to be allowed to take over the comments section. So, if you submit 10-12 comments on a particular post, you’ll probably see only 2-3 of them published. Be selective and strategic in what you submit. Sometimes, less is more).
*As I noted when I first announced the new policy, “ All readers can feel free to criticize the subjects of the stories, even the writers of the stories, other public figures, etc.”.
Thus, when someone adopts the role of “writer” – as opposed to “commenter” – they may see more published comments that they consider to be harsh, mean, etc. Writers have a different role here than commenters – and they understand that in posting their own material, they’re opening themselves up to criticism and negative comments.

Thanks Frank, it’s so much better without the neurotic distractions and weird character assassination of those best placed to comment on nxivm, because they had direct experience of it. I appreciate the effectiveness of the Frank Report, you’ve done such good here, and once again the comments section is a place to be informed, sometimes amused and often enlightened.

Thank you so much for the extra work you put in doing this. Now people can feel free to comment without getting an unnecessarily snarky, sarcastic comment in reply. And those who were all-out duking and mud-slinging have lost their fire because it isn’t that much fun when your mean-spirited comment doesn’t show up right away.

Unfortunately, seems there are remaining trolls taking a more subtle tact. Can we consider, perhaps, avoiding comments that appear to unfairly attack the Court and prosecution team as well as other commenters? Call me paranoid but methinks there be a vengeanful troll afoot trying to cause problems for FR with these less obvious insinuations that feel disingenuous.
Who do you consider the “remaining trolls?” It appears you want everyone removed who does not agree with you. Is that your interpretation of free speech?
I’m also curious about what you mean about remaining trolls, Heidi, as Frank has already mentioned that he is not posting all the repetitive comments from “Not a friend of NXIVM” , and he has also removed a few other offensive posts. So who is this troll, and why do you consider them to be a troll?

I find it much more user friendly. I’m sure we’ve all had posts removed for different reasons and that’s fair. Staying on topic can be hard. But I think it’s running the best right now since I started back in April. I appreciate the extra work you have gone to to make this happen.
People treating each other with respect is always the better way to go.
My two cents – it is working very well. My only wish is that comments were reviewed & (if approved) posted faster. It would help the flow of the comments conversation better.

I’ve never commented before, but am so in support of the new policy, I’m commenting now. Thanks for making the change. Frankreport, once again, is an enjoyable place to get info.

Once she appeared inside the court, her mood radically changed. She appeared pensive and solemn. As one observer said, “She was dowdy with an ‘Oh I’m dying’ look.”

House arrest is too good for her. She should have been locked up just like Raniere. I’d say the same about Clare but I’m sure it’s almost as bad for her having conditions to live by. That money could not buy her complete freedom and the judge having that power over her probably rages her out
