She filmed the first season why ignoring the NXIVM shit storm of 2017 and the second season having already received press coverage for being a part of NXIVM, without her true role being exposed and spoken about (other than on Frank Report). Technically, the only thing she confirmed was that she left about five years ago when she made her statement in March of 2018. She merely retweeted what Sarah Edmondson said and so that appears to be tacit confirmation that she left at the end of 2012/beginning of 2013.
There is no exact date given as to when she left and there is no public reason given as to why she left. She didn’t have to leave exactly the day the article was revealed because she may have never even known about it. Or she could have read it and didn’t believe it at first due to all of the “fake news” poisoning the well that the cult engaged in with its followers concerning anything bad written about it in the media and so wanted to make sure it was true. Or she could have read it and decided she needed to get out but had to do it subtly and without controversy and it took her some time to figure out how to do so.
The point is she left. She didn’t stay. She got out. And she did it smartly.

She was never the lead of Smallville. She was one of three main characters and there were many episodes she had small parts in. The amount of time she worked on set during Smallville pales in comparison to the amount of time that was required of her during BatB being the lead. We’re talking about a minimal amount of time from May of 2012 to the end of the year in which she would have been very busy.
Regardless, what does this have to do with anything? No one denies she was part of NXIVM while she was in Smallville.
