Clare Bronfman – the lady who spent so much money to put her enemies in prison – has just retained two more lawyers to help keep her out of prison.
Alexandra A.E. Shapiro and Fabien Manohar Thayamballi, both with the law firm of Shapiro Arato ,have filed notices of appearances in federal court.
This brings the number of lawyers for Clare up to eight, which surpasses Keith Raniere who has a mere 6.
Alexandra Shapiro, who is a co-founder of the firm, specializes in appeals.
According to her website, “Alexandra is an experienced trial lawyer and has also argued numerous appeals in federal and state appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. She regularly argues in the Second Circuit on …. [among others] tax fraud…
“Alexandra has won appellate reversals of criminal convictions in a number of notable white collar prosecutions. These victories include three Second Circuit rulings granting judgments of acquittal for clients convicted of insider trading or tax shelter fraud…as well as multiple decisions granting new trials for…clients…
“Prior to co-founding Shapiro Arato LLP in 2009, Alexandra was a partner of Latham & Watkins LLP [Bob Crockett’s old firm], and before that, an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York, where she also served as Deputy Chief Appellate Attorney. In addition, she served as an attorney-adviser in the Office of Legal Counsel of the U.S. Department of Justice.”
So here we have a lawyer who is very well connected with the courts and the DOJ and an expert in appeals. Bringing her on board early is a smart move for a defendant who can afford the best legal representation. Shapiro can keep an alert eye for grounds for an appeal – something almost sure to happen if the case runs its course and Clare is convicted at trial.
The hiring of Alexandra is also a stark reminder of how justice is not equal for all defendants in America. And that money buys at least some justice. This is something that Clare and Keith Raniere used to their advantage in several dozen lawsuits over more than a dozen years – when they were on the offensive.
Clare’s other new attorney is a young man. Like Alexandra, Fabien’s practice focuses on appellate advocacy, as well as white-collar criminal defense. He joined Shapiro Arato LLP in October 2015 [just about the time Raniere started branding women]. This Yale graduate clerked for two federal judges and worked as an associate at Morrison & Foerster LLP.
I am not sure what to think of Clare having more lawyers than her Vanguard, but it’s certainly possible that Raniere will be getting more lawyers too, so let us not prejudge.
It’s funny, the government revealed in recent filings concerning discovery that Clare had 42 lawyers in her litigation heyday and Raniere had 26 [poor Nancy Salzman had only 7] that they identified for attorney-client privilege issues. That’s a total of 75 lawyers in the Bronfman-Raniere ruthless bullying ‘terrorist’ litigation days.
Now, we are only into month six of the criminal defense phase of the Bronfman-Raniere world of law and retribution – and we are already up to 27 lawyers!
And as the lawyers say – perhaps with a wink and a nod –“Viva Executive Success!”

All that vodka money paying to have 27 criminal defense lawyers – SMH. Okay but what about the ethics of those 27 lawyers? I know, innocent till proven guilty, but are all these lawyers signing on to a stinky ship just for cash?
Many comments on this forum are not only political in nature, many are also highly abusive and disrespectful, mainly towards women. Not to mention the large number of illogical comments from apparent trolls.
What is the reason this forum is not moderated like other forums of this kind? Normally abusive and irrelevant comments are removed from the board, and commentors such as Yorak Hunt would be blocked from posting.
Freedom of speech. Frank has tried to prevent some of the most vile by creating their own sites. But then they clean up their act and they are back. If you’ve been watching for a while you are aware of these individuals. On occasion they have something real to say.

I’ve read all the comments on the last several threads. There have been many abusive comments posted under many different names. Since this board allows people to post each comment under any name they choose, these comments could all be posted by the same person.
The posting icons can sometimes provide some link between comments, and when looking at your icon, Anon, I see you have instigated nasty comments yourself ,and then lied about doing so.
Look carefully , I have changed some of my perceptions and realized I was posting based on emotions and that maybe I wasn’t always right. I was also in a lot of physical pain and I think that affected my posts. I have never posted under anything but anon or Heather which is my name. Nor have I lied about posts if I made them. I’m not as computer savvy as most .I’m sure I could figure out how to fake posts if I wanted but I don’t. Now that my meds have been adjusted and I have allowed myself to feel empathy for victims of NXIVM I’m trying to be more respectful. If your really paying attention you will see the posts others have attacked with. It’s easy to make judgements isn’t it?

Not only karma at play here but history repeating itself. Clare is still being taken advantage of for her money! I’ve worked for attorneys and i know how they bill. It gets costly fast!! By the time the trial goes live she’ll be completely bankrupt at this rate!

Well the prosecuter was able to establish that Dr Ford is a LIAR, about not being able to fly. She confirmed that they flew all over, South Pacific, Tahiti, So. America, Peru, Hawaii, her recent vacation to Delaware, and then on to New Hampshire this summer, plus she had to fly a lot for her consulting job with Big Pharma.
So saying that she couldn’t fly to the hearing for questioning because she had a fear of flying was a LIE (thank-you citizen journalists for uncovering that lie first). In fact, she flew to today’s hearing.
So it begs the question, what else is she LYING about.
Why did SHE leak her accusations to the Wash Post, if she didn’t want to get involved and wanted to stay anonymous? She leaked because her motive was to SMEAR Judge Kavanaugh and that has been her motivation from the beginning.
She claims she walked 8 miles to her home alone after the assault. She was 15 and did not drive and she was horribly drunk. She was in a suburban neighborhood with many middle class family homes around where the attack took place, why didn’t she just knock on someone’s door and ask to use their phone to call home and get a ride?
She seems to have Bill and Hillary’s mental problems of not being able to remember anything, including not being able to remember things within the past 2 months or even the past few weeks! For someone with such a faulty memory, and someone who NEVER mentioned Judge Kavanaugh’s name to ANYONE including her husband and her therapist when she finally got around to getting it on record in 2012 (when Romney was running for Pres and Kavanaugh’s name was bantered around as a possible Supreme Ct pick), why the well guarded secret? How does she even know it was Judge Kavanaugh who attacked her since she was drunk, and couldn’t recall anything before the attack or anything after that attack? Why did she keep his name a secret UNTIL he was up for Supreme Court Nomination? THEN and only then does she even bring the whole subject up with ANYONE about an attack at all.
Even after walking 8 miles home, after the alleged attack, she never confided her traumatic experience to her closest friend who WENT to the PARTY with her! And her friend whom she abandoned at the party, ALONE with 4 drunken boys, NEVER asked her the next day, WHY did you leave me there alone? Nope. That conversation never took place. Diane Feinstein recommended Dr Ford’s Attorney (yes, the same one who was photographed with Hildabeast this past weekend). Attorneys both claim to be working pro-bono. (Yeah, right. Extremely expensive attorney’s working pro-bono: Not going to happen. SOMEone is footing the bill.)
Dr Ford, is not paying for any of her expenses at all.
Demoncraps are paying for everything, including her polygraph test. She said a go fund me account has been set up for her, but she doesn’t know anything about it. She doesn’t know who paid for the polygraph test, which the polygrapher had to fly to.

One would think that if such a traumatic event took place in this woman’s life, that affected her whole life, and left her afraid to fly, that she would have refused to attend any more parties with these guys! You don’t party with your RAPIST!!! But that is not the case, she supposedly continued to party with her attackers.
The Woman Prosecutor (specialist in sexual assault victims) was from California, and she said it would have been much more convenient for her to do the questioning in CA, so why was that refused?
The Woman Prosecutor, Mitchell, also said that Standard Best Practices in cases like this is for the victim to have a one on one meeting (no lawyers present) meeting with a Forensic’s specialist to let the victim just tell their story without interruptions, as happened today. Mitchell said the least effective means is what happened today. Why didn’t her attorney’s, also specialists in rape/sexual assault, never suggest such a forensic meeting? Dr Ford said it was never brought up to her.
I thought Mitchell was laying the ground work for conducting such a Forensic Meeting with a specialist, but she did not ask that question.
So we are still left with a totally uncorroborated allegation, denied under oath by all supposed “witnesses”, with zero evidence to support it, from a known liar, with an incredibly faulty memory (can’t recall events from a few weeks ago, but recalls everything from 36 years ago). She doesn’t know when that assault happened, or where it happened, or how she got to the party or how she got home after the party. She never confided the event to her best friend, who was left, apparently, stranded at the party, yet zero discussion occurred explaining why she deserted her best friend at the party. The incident was NEVER discussed with her best friend, until a couple weeks ago, after fraudulent letter was leaked to the press! Best friend has no recollection of ever attending such a party, nor of being stranded at a party by Ford. All of Her witnesses deny the party even took place!

Thinking back to the 80s, I can remember occassions when i was partying with a number of drunk guys, and i never had any fear that they would try to assault me. I never witnessed them do anything inappropriate to other women, either. And this was the same time period as the Kavanaugh parties occurred, and yes, we all drank a lot back then, but I’m not aware of any assaults taking place amongst the people I knew.
That’s not the story we seem to hearing about Kavanaugh and his friends.

But even if she only had one beer, her body weight at 15 and lack of experience drinking alcohol probably affected her more than you’re claiming.
