I am dedicated to free speech. And also intelligent speech. Unhappily, a small group of people centered around Scott Johnson – have reduced the comments section to near irrelevance at times.
Except for Scott, they are all anonymous.
Asking them to stop being rude was ineffective. Removing a few stray comments as an example of what was a distraction on the website was equally useless.
Rather than ban them – I think the right thing to do is relocate their comments. Move them over to a permanent post called Scotty’s Corner.
Here at Scotty’s Corner everyone can be as rude and nasty to each other as they like and I will personally take the time to remove the comments on other posts – comments that have no connection to the post at hand and relocate them to our new Scotty’s Corner.
It is named in honor of Scott – but it is not a negative reflection on him or his critics. I think they have fun attacking each other and I want them to enjoy in their own private sandbox – so to speak.
I think this will still give people the chance to express their disdain for strangers and at the same time keep comments on the rest of the posts relevant to the topics in the posts.
To save time, I respectfully ask all commenters who want to express hate for each other to simply post right here on Scottie’s Corner.
To qualify for a comment on Scottie’s Corner your post need only have nothing to do with topic posted or any related topic and be insulting to another poster.
Catching them on small grammatical errors, using nasty names, belittling and bullying are welcome here – but not elsewhere.

I think the blame for this negative situation is incorrectly being given to Scott Johnson rather than Frank Parlato. I believe that Frank needs to take responsibility and ownership of the problem. This is no different from a pit bull owner who can’t control his dog, allows it to howl at night and bite strangers, all while claiming “but it was such a NICE doggy who was only defending itself from that evil child.”.
Now, it may be that the above analogy is imperfect, as Frank is keeping a BABOON as a pet rather than a DOG, but the principle is the same.
I think Frank shelters Scott in a way he does not necessarily others. Maybe because he likes the traffic it drives to his site or maybe because he feels for Scott. Probably both. But I don’t think it ultimately helps Scott or the rest of us.

You’ve tagged on to Frank’s site because he has measurable proof that his years of drilling away at NXIVM has yielded results, I think you want some of that reflected glory. You haven’t had that same level of success in your efforts, although you are no less obsessed with, and committed to, the cause.
Everyone else on here is so “stupid” to you. But likely most of us were not lured into MLM scams as you were. I was approached by an Amway rep at my job when I was 20. It was presented to me in the sleaziest way possible. He used my affiliation with the church I belonged to at the time try to lure me in. Called me “Sister [Last Name]”, and told me that he thought God had led him to the organization. Didn’t I want to earn more money so that I could donate more to the church and be a better servant to the Lord? I felt like I needed a shower after that presentation. My mom told me at the time that Amway was a pyramid scheme and a scam and that I would end up losing money off of it. That people rarely ascended to the heights of success that they promised. And you had to scam other people into doing it in order to build your own wealth.
This was back in 1992, way before info about this was available online, and I lived in a podunk town. And yet, I wasn’t stupid enough to join their ranks, so why were you? And you stayed for almost two decades trying to make it work.
Even if it hadn’t been presented to me in as sleazy a fashion as it had, I still would not have done it. Would not have sold out other people to prop up myself financially.
So maybe insulting and belittling other commenters all the time on this site is a way of dealing with the anger over the fact that you yourself made a very (unintended) stupid decision, and it resulted in huge losses for you and your family.
You say you’re just trying to get the message out so that others don’t fall for it as you did, but you do it in a way that has literally alienated you from most people on this site.
