Wealth hath its privileges in Fed Court – None of new defendants made bail yesterday – guess who did not spend the night in jail?

Clare Bronfman walks out of court. The judge gave her three days to put her bail package together.

According to a courtroom source – Nancy Salzman, Lauren Salzman, and Kathy Russell spent the night in jail yesterday following their arrest in the Federal NXIVM crime prosecution.

Apparently, none of the ladies could get their bail package together in time to be released.  So off they went from the Marshall’s custody to the Rensselaer County jail for the night.

In Brooklyn – another defendant – Clare Bronfman – was also unable to get her bail package together. But, unlike Nancy, Lauren, and Kathy, Clare was allowed to walk out of court – and given until Friday to get her bail package together.

Nancy and Lauren have family and friends – who together will likely muster the $100,000 [combined] they need to post in cash. It’s not very much really – yet they could not be released on their word – and given a day to come up with bail money they assured the court was forthcoming from family and a friend.

Poor Kathy Russell – all she needed was someone to come up with a mere $2,500 – but she was sent to a cage with the understanding that she might stay there until trial for want of $2,500.

Clare Bronfman was tens of millions shy of making her bail – and has to depend on her sister coming from France and finding another non-NXIVM co-guarantor – for her $100 million bail. She was not inconvenienced with a night in jail.

In this instance, we see a woman – alleged to be equally, if not more, guilty than the other defendants – treated disparately.

Nancy, Lauren, and Kathy spent the night in jail – on a hard bed – and awoke to prison breakfast – and the requirement to be in Brooklyn Court today – fresh before the judge, the prosecutors, and the eyes of the world.

Clare went home to her luxury apartment. She will arrive at court escorted by her attorneys.  Kathy, and possibly Nancy and Lauren, will likely arrive in custody – in handcuffs and shackles.

For my own part, I keep thinking of Kathy Russell – a 60-year-old woman who wanted to be a ballerina – listening to Keith Raniere – following the orders of Clare Bronfman and others – languishing in a prison cell – for lack of ability to raise $2,500.

Clare probably paid more than $2,500 for her attorneys appearance at her bail hearing.

In the coming prosecution, I suspect we will see instances of favoritism for Clare Bronfman.  There are many who say she will not have to endure a single day of prison.  I think we have an interesting opportunity to watch the US justice system at work. Apropos of that, I wonder, who will ultimately spend more time in prison – the low level bookkeeper Kathy Russell or her chieftain, Clare?

Hope readers of this blog aren’t actually believing that your comments are respected and open for all to read when you say anything questioning Frank and his (obvious) trolls’ motives. Or when you try to share truth that includes aspects he wishes to keep secret.
Hmmm come to think of it, that sounds oddly familiar to the control addicts he’s accusing. Definitely a double standard without doubt. And surely not a professional journalist by any means.

1. If you’re truly upset, start your own website. You may be concerned that it won’t have the draw and traffic that this site has, but just as Frank (I feel like I should call him Mr. Parlato) started from scratch, so too can you. I can’t imagine anyone is stopping you from doing that.

2. FrankReport has no obligation to include anything in its reporting. That’s one of the beauties of free speech and free enterprise — anyone can produce a product, in this case a website, and the public can choose to consume (read) it or not.

3. The credibility of FrankReport has passed a lot of sniff tests. I, personally, cannot think of anything I’ve read here that has not later been confirmed either via subsequent reporting on FrankReport or through other media or through the current federal case.

This is the pathetic truth of our American court system. Is it ever fair for money to be the factor, whether you have a high priced attorney or a public defender was never supposed to matter. Very disappointing to see in EDNY. Had hoped they would be treated equally.

Strictly speaking from the perspective of psychology, I think there are a lot of parallels between battered women’s syndrome and the psychological impairment that happens in cults like this. Most cults, not all, have a “charismatic” male leader at the helm, who often couples their psycholigical dominance with some version of sexual deviance. The first thing a cult leader does, as does an abusive partner, is strategically separate their victim (I’m not referring to all the women in NXIVM, but definitely some) from outside voices — be it family, friends, colleagues, the news, etc. Their first big coup as an abuser is to convince their victim that they’re the only one who is telling them the truth. Eventually the victim/cult member can’t see themselves as an entity separate from their abuser/leader’s idea/version of them.

And, I think one of the biggest hurdles to healing is first recognizing what’s happened to their sense of self and acknowledging that they need help. Abusers/cult leaders are very effective in building what are essentially psychological firewalls to prevent their victim/followers from leaving — and not just physically leaving, but more importantly, psychologically leaving.

And that concludes today’s armchair seminar.

Thanks for serving as the epitome of what i just spoke of.
And just to clarify, no one’s attacking anyone- that’s projection 101. Freedom of speech means I have a right to state my opinion based on my own direct experience- esp when people are presenting as something other than they are.
I don’t have a problem with anyone who doesn’t wanna help- hell, the world is full of cowards these days who are not only not helping but further attacking and exploiting innocent people that deserve our help more than anyone else (i.e. defenseless children)
However, don’t go acting like you’re some kind of hero on a mission for others’ sake when your actions say you’re only looking out for your own revenge and benefit.

Thanks for the tip. Ive went to the fbi several times (and local and state police)- I’ve been told none of my previous visits show up in their system. Then even made a trip down to nyc where I can assure you, the individuals I eventually spoke to (after 3 hrs of waiting and being refused the chance to talk to anyone who is in charge of the nxivm case btw) were NOT legitimate fed agents. They refused to show me any identification at all (not even a badge), refused to give any names, took ZERO notes, were extremely disrespectful (even mocking me at times), refused to even look at any of the bag full of evidence and docs I brought to back up all I was saying, and ultimately told me to drive back home and call 911. And I am an educated person who had no issues explaining our situation.
One would believe the whole point of Frank’s “work” (according to what hes claimed) was to get this info out there, give victims a voice, and stop these people from the chaos they are creating by destroying so many innocent lives. Obviously that’s not the case when he turns away doing so for children victims.
Anyone with a brain can tell this is about far more than most people realize on the surface. And anyone who knows anything about child trafficking knows how many are benefiting financially from it.
On that note, don’t believe everything you see here- Our case shows there is much to question about “Gaelen” — i know from living it, they are stealing and trafficking children and those posing as authorities are part of the benefits club. The “investigator” supposedly helping keefe and the child “in hiding” is the same one known to be a tool in nxivms retaliatory and illegal efforts against ruining others simply because they speak up about their cowardly crimes.

Just as I’ve been saying all along- as much as this looks all wonderful from the outside, this trial is likely being held for other selfish reasons (like everything corrupted by cowards posing as actual authorities seeking justice).
This decision alone provides to the public a clear indication of the true intent behind these arrests, charges, and trial. Hmm, justice or money?
They just answered that one for us, no use wondering any longer. Its all about how much money can be make and disbursed while those exploiting the situation most play the heroes despite being an ever bigger problem and threat to society at large than the crazies/scapegoats they’re charging.
Not very surprising at all unfort. Esp given that bail was even given as an option at all in the first place knowing all of the money laundering, theft, proceeds from shell companies, “non-profits”, CHILD SALE AND TRAFFICKING..
sure, why not get more dirty money rolling around as long as the biggest frauds can benefit from it while pretending they’re saving the world.
Kinda like how no one who claims to be reporting with genuine intent (incl. Frank and Toni) will talk to or help get their voices heard those whose INNOCENT CHILDREN were stolen by this disgusting network of frauds. Obviously they’re too busy getting their own share behind closed doors for keeping silent on the most damaging aspects of all of it.
Much, much more behind all of this that only the most aware are starting to realize for themselves.

Go to talk to the FBI and let them do their jobs. Frank and Toni can only report on or help with the information they have and can verify. You are talking about crimes against children so go to the authorities not a blog site. Frank and Toni don’t have the resources to get your child back – talk to the people who do.

This person is on here sporadically blaming Frank and Toni for not helping with the “child abduction and trafficking” and claims that the NXIVM crowd has blocked all access to authorities and changed all their child’s records, etc. Maybe it’s real or maybe it is someone trolling to discredit Frank and Toni or maybe it’s a very disturbed person. Whatever is going on, accusative comments on here won’t help. Also, pretty sure the second poster in agreement with the OP is actually the OP agreeing with themselves.

It’s really a question of perception. I would speculate that trying to appear younger could be construed as a sign of contempt or appeal to sympathy. As an appeal for sympathy, it might have worked somewhat after her first arrest, but it utterly fails after successive court appearances. It suggests that she probably will not be the one to cut a deal.

Did you write yesterday, Kathy’s bail was set to $25,000? That’s significantly more than $2,500. Also $100,000 is quite a bit of money in my opinion.. I guess it’s all relative, for some 100,000 isn’t much, for some others 100,000,000 isn’t much…

You only have to come up with 10% of the actual bail if you use a bail bondsman and then you lose that money as a fee. So it would cost Kathy $2500 for a bail bondsman to insure her for the $25000. Otherwise you have to pledge assets that are free and clear of the total bail in which case you do not lose the 10%,

Wonder why her fellow ESPIAN family hasnt created a GOFUNDME for her?. That’s right its every man and woman for themselves now just like AYN RAND taught them.

A bond can be posted for bail.
Kathy pays a bail bond agent 10%.
The bail bond agent pays the court 100%.
If she shows up for trial, the bail bond agent gets their $ back.
She sacrifices the 10%.

There aren’t bail bond agents that I know of for 100M$ bail.

10% of $25,000 is $2,500. Scott Johnson told me that’s how bail worked for him, after he got charged with sexually assaulting another man’s zipper. They couldn’t prosecute him because he swallowed all the evidence.

Clare Bronfman should be made to pay for her privileges by being squeezed until she starts singing.

Clare:
Start telling us what you know about the Salinas crime family in Mexico and money laundering.
Are the Salinas gangsters involved in laundering money for the various Mexican drug cartels?
Start telling us what your sister Sara and her Libyan brother in law are planning in Libya.

Clare:
You were spending 10,000 dollars per week for a Puerto Vallarta villa for Keith Raniere to hide out in.
What was going on in that villa?
Why were Allison Mack, Nicki Clyne, Laura Salzman and Loretta Garza in that villa the morning Raniere was arrested by the Mexican Federales?
Were Allison Mack and her “Bad Ass Women Warriors” planning some kind of operation?
Were Allison Mack planning to lure NXIVM cult defectors down to Puerto Vallarta to be kidnapped and killed by corrupt Mexican cops?

Clare spent years victimizing and torturing those who threatened to Vanguard and she did so primarily by abusing the courts, initiating lengthy, extensive and expensive lawsuits against them wherein she was allowed to lie and provide false data to law enforcement and judges who accepted cash and other bribes behind the scenes- I.e., she was/is given “special treatment” by providing money and the cream of DOS sex slaves – offered on demand. About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
