Sex slave, India Oxenberg, 26, spent more than $200,000 taking Executive Success Programs – courses taught by NXIVM.
NXIVM blackmails, threatens, sexually abuses and brands women with the initials of its leaders, Keith Raniere and Allison Mack. India has such a brand on her pubic region.
Despite India’s $200,000 tuition to NXIVM to learn how to be an ‘executive success’ – – a sum greater than what she would have paid to attend Harvard – India works at the East Village vegetarian restaurant PlantMade, where she is Hospitality Manager. She likely makes as much as $20 per hour, which, in Manhattan, is above minimum wage.
Living in expensive New York City, and being broke [and homeless], it’s hard to figure where she got the money to pay for her new, high-priced California lawyer and PR spokesperson, Carla DiMare.
Ms. DiMare made this statement on India’s behalf with Radar Online: “India Oxenberg would like to share her story in the near future. She is deeply saddened
by the untrue allegations that have made about her in the media.”
So who is paying for Carla?
India likely did not get the money to pay Carla from her sex-slave master, Allison Mack, because Mack is restricted to home detention, released on $5 million bail, and forbidden to contact anyone connected to NXIVM.
Most likely her grand master, Keith Raniere, did not pay for her PR lawyer since he is in jail and can’t talk to anyone other than his own lawyers and prison guards.
India did not get the money to pay for DeMare from her mother or grandmother, for they are opposed to her being in a sex-slaver cult and would prefer she come home.
India’s mother, Catherine Oxenberg, 56, of California, has been an outspoken critic of Nxivm and her daughter’s role in the sex cult for more than a year – ever since she found out India was branded on her pubic region with her slave masters’ initials.
India’s grandmother, Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, while maintaining contact with India, is reportedly mortified by the abusive practices of the cult. She did not pay for India’s new lawyer.
By all accounts, her two fathers – both of whom I have spoken to – biological father, William Saffer, 71, and stepfather, has-been actor, and embarrassingly narcissistic lover- Casper Van Dien 49, [check out his smooching pics on Instagram], are not likely to have paid either. Both dads are big on verbal support for India, but mainly it seems in the form of encouragement for India to defy her mother and grandmother, cause “you gotta be you!”
To sort of paraphrase them both, and of course this is only my take, the two fathers’ message to India has been:
“Isn’t it horrible what your mother has done, my pretty, telling the world you were branded on your pubic region? What your mother did is worse than you being in a cult. She exposed the cult and put them in jail and that made everyone think you’re brainwashed. We support you, darling. Your daddies believe in you. We’re there for you – with extra large heaps of vituperation toward your mother, and loads of love for you at this terrible time. Remember, you can always count on your daddies. Hope you don’t go to jail, baby. But if you do, remember it’s your mother’s fault. Oh, your criminal lawyer needs money? Sorry, but right now, we’re a little unable to provide you with any money. Ask your mother. It was your mother that did this to you! Thank God, you’re not with her, but with this NXIVM group that is doing you so much good. Ah no, we can’t offer any money to pay for your criminal lawyer at this present moment. Isn’t that terrible what your mother did, and now you might be arrested? Who then is paying for India’s expensive lawyer/press spokesperson Carla DeMare?
When contacted by the NY Post, Carla would only say, “India is a remarkable young woman . . . She’s just a young woman and she’s being thrust into this. She’s a remarkable woman, and she’s a great person.”
Clare Bronfman, the Seagram’s heiress who is now running NXIVM and is in NYC, is the only person I’ve ever heard who overuses the word “remarkable”.
I believe this may be a clue that Clare set India up with Carla.
India’s criminal lawyer is Tom Engel. Evidently, India also does not have the money to pay for him and India may be arrested soon. But someone is paying for him and a media lawyer [Carla is not a criminal lawyer.]
DiMare has told people privately that I am the cause of NXIVM being in legal trouble. That I fabricated the entire thing. It was my vendetta against Keith and the sex trafficking charges are untrue. Keith is innocent. The FBI are my stooges, the mainstream media my useful idiots. And India is a remarkable young woman.

It’s probably her mom and grandmother. After all, it’s hard for them to expect India to be able to come home if she gets sentenced the 20-30 years of hard time she deserves.

It is a shame. This girl should have been in college, Catherine was a hellion but still managed Harvard, for goodness sake. Her aunt Christina Oxenberg is an accomplished writer, historian, witty, very clever, a real cosmopolitan. Same goes for the bronfmans, Clare couldn’t even finish high school! Ignorance! These dumb girls had access and opportunities beyond compare; they make the Hilton sisters look like geniuses, and no I’m not joking at all. The Hiltons are powerhouse entrepreneurs in comparison and are living their own lives, not homeless and broke with their hair falling out, branded, pissing away whatever trust fund in the worst way, or handing over hundreds of millions to a short hairy dumpy wastrel turd ponzi-schemer to also piss away on ridiculous financial bets. They might as well have taken a pile of cash and burned it, for whatever they got in return. None of the Bronfmans are slouches but these two, sure there are skeletons, graveyards in some cases, but all of them got great educations and they work, the youngest generation is just as motivated, ambitious. And they must be appalled. The one thing in India’s favour is her youth; she can still turn this around, even capitalize on it, and use it to build something significant. It was dismaying to read about these two ‘fathers’ and their attitude. You need to understand the concept from which it was taken.
It could be a warning to someone or likewise it could be her as the child and, therefore, the victim.
I guess in order to understand, you need to look at her social media around the same time to see where she was but, ultimately, only she will know what it truely meant.
FWIW I did have a look at her intragram account and saw she did a comic conference in the UK in Wrexham. If she does two per annum for 10K USD and one is in the UK unless the second is somewhere farther afield she literally did this for very little money once expenses are taking in to account.
With the 2nd in command funds she should be generating why send her to a tiny place to make tiny amounts of money?

She would have only made $ on NXIVM based on recruiting people to attend courses, and like all MLM structures, she appeared to have tapped out her own resources since she had to start hitting on women at auditions and sending them tweets. So India gets the benefit of being called a “victim” and a “slave” despite her being actually someone who coerced others into slavery and being a slave master in her own rights?
There is certainly a double standard in reporting here. You or your parents talk to Frank and you’re a hero or a victim, regardless of how deeply you were or still are involved with NXIVM or even DOS; no hard questions asked. But if you are a defector and try to keep your name out of the news, all kinds of wild accusations will be thrown at you.
After reading some of the comments at other articles here, I start having serious doubts that Catherine Oxenberg is as clean in this whole thing as she wants everyone to believe. If it is true that she actually pushed her kids into this cult, then she is certainly not as innocent as she likes to be seen. One also needs to remember that her days of fame were long gone and forgotten… until this whole thing shined a spot light on her again. And it seems she also plans on cashing in on all of this with a book deal. So far, it’s all a big benefit for her.
And there are certainly other little known or long forgotten actresses as well who actually may get a boost in name recognition out of “coming clean” to the press.
On the other hand, some well known actresses who had been just involved with the “normal” NXIVM/ESP classes and who may not have juicy stories about branding ceremonies or other kinky stuff to tell, get smeared with wild accusations at any opportunity, even if they have cut ties with NXIVM.
It’s a simple fact that some people/victims clearly gain from coming clean while others may only have to lose. Going after the latter without hard evidence of actual wrongdoings is victimizing them all over again and basically just doing the Bronfman’s and Salzman’s job for them.
While I can understand someone referring to these NXIVM actresses as both victims and abusers, I believe it is more accurate to refer to them as abusers.
Especially those who learned of the abuses and still stayed with Raniere.
All of these actresses are B class actresses.
They all had established acting careers and what they call in the business as Q ratings.

I don t think she would talk about it if she wasn t clean about it. She made the mistake to trust her friend and she has reconized it. Concerning her daughter, I think she idealise her. For the book deal, it’s not because she write a book that it will be a success and from the description it’s not just about her. For the message talking about her pushing her kids, it’s odd because the same day Carrie Mitchum posted a facebook message destroying Catherine and laughing at her.
Let us hope she got a good lawyer who does not depend on Bronfman’s blood money and is loyal. Her family should be able to help. I do not believe they will let her down in this situation.
