Raniere appears in court in shackles

“During a 4-minute hearing in federal court on Tuesday, the 57-year-old Raniere, wearing khaki shorts and a blue T-shirt and shackled in chains, declined to comment during his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Jefferey Cureton.

Cureton told Raniere that he will be extradited to New York and Raniere’s attorney said they will not fight extradition.

Raniere was then led out of the courtroom by U.S. Marshals.”

Thank God. I never thought this day would come. I can hardly believe it’s true. Is he really in jail? He won’t be bonded out by the Bronfmans? Please Law Enforcement, keep this monster locked up don’t give him the chance to run again.

The mental – and sometimes physical shackles – that he imposed on others has returned in the form of such physical shackles that will ultimately result in the physical shackle of his incarceration.

Poetic justice? Poetic irony?

Someone quoted what Rajneesh – the Indian guru whose cult is being documented in Netflix’s “Wild Wild Country” – said that used a reference to a mirror which he abused and ripped off from true religion. This mirror metaphor is commonplace to it, especially in Sufism. The poet Rumi used it quite frequently.

“Existence is a mirror that reflects one’s self.”

In other words,

“What goes around comes around”.

“Shackled in chains” seems so ironically fitting for this jerk. I wonder if he’ll be forced to curb his caloric intake in order To wear them comfortably.

Is Raniere still wearing the clothes he had on when he was arrested? That’s what it looks like based on the picture of him in the police car in Mexico. He’s a smelly guy to start out with, and it doesn’t look like they gave him time to take a shower before throwing him in the police car. He’s got to be ripe by now after all his shackled travels.

Instead of being shackled and flown to NY, rumor is he asked to have a heavy wooden cross to drag from Texas to New York and to be followed by his most faithful followers and stoned along the way by angry parents; this would be instead of a 15 year to life prison sentence.

His faithful women could take turns at night with him, but only to wash his tired swollen feet. His Society of Proctors would ask the guards to take their turns at carrying the burden for him, with Vanguard saying “No, I’ve got this, I’m out to set a World Record on time and distance. I will be one up on Jesus and finally make the World Record for something”.

Speaking of followers; Any news on how many of his faithful folk of followers came to Texas for his 4-minute hearing? You know his rich faithful had to make their pilgrimage to Fort Worth to show their support.

Wonder what his women at the Mexico compound, oops, Villa are doing? Will Allision and Lauren attempt to come across the border? If they try to re-enter and there are warrants for their arrest, won’t they be arrested at the border?

Maybe they will hire a coyotaje’ to bring them across the Mexican border. An expensive one so V’s ladies can do it with the luxury style they have become accustomed to living, of course. Only the finest for V’s girls. Do you wonder if they even had a plan in place for when he was finally arrested?

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
