Recently Frank Report posted a help wanted ad for Rainbow Cultural Garden nannies. One of the requirements for a nanny is that she must be able to speak her native language “fluidly.”
One of our readers wrote a simple one line comment:
“Stupid announcement from Rainbow that kids can learn to speak ‘fluidly’ instead of fluently!!”
This is an interesting choice of words. Whether it was accidental, or deliberate, remains to be seen.
Talking is a sequence of sounds, syllables, words, phrases, and sentences together.
“Fluency” is getting words out smoothly. It is an ability to utter meaningful sounds, syllables, words, phrases. Fluency is continuous meaningful speech.
But is “fluency” the same as “fluidity”. Some might say it is merely semantics.
Fluent
– easy and graceful in shape
– expressing yourself readily, clearly, effectivelyfluid
– characteristic of a fluid; capable of flowing and easily changing shape
– subject to change; variable
– affording change (especially in social status)
– in cash or easily convertible to cash
You can be fluent in a language, but can you be fluid in it? Fluency includes being able to express with ease.
Fluidity then could be how smoothly you speak.
Fluency is your competency with the language.
Fluidity might be how smoothly you deliver it – even if everything you say is word salad that means nothing.
One thing for sure, when you hear someone talking to you, your understanding them has nothing to do with fluidity, only fluency/competency.
Abe Lincoln was a man who Keith Raniere once remarked would be one who no one would consider objecting to were his initials to appear branded on a woman’s pubic area – the marking of her as a slave despite the fact that he perhaps inadvertently was the man credited with freeing the American slaves. Whether his initials should appear on women’s pubic region in lieu of say some more fluid speaker is open to debate. But he is widely regarded as a fluent speaker.
Here is an example:

The SubReddit r/TheRedPill on Reddit appropriated the term from the movie and was created in 2012 by a now resigned NH state lawmaker- I am by no mean’s an expert on the men’s rights movement but In men’s rights parlance, “red pillers” realize that men, not women, are oppressed and that men need to “wake up” to a reality in which feminism has ruined their lives.
To quote “In r/TheRedPill’s instance, the “dark truths” that the subreddit’s subscribers have swallowed are these: feminism is toxic, sexism is fake, men have it harder than women, and everything the media teaches about relationships is a lie. The most extreme Red Pillers even believe that women want to be raped.”
However, I digress as Frank’s blog is not the place to discuss men’s vs women’s rights. And you know what they say about arguing on the internet. I was only making an observation from what I have read and heard about Society of Protectors. I likened the material taught in those modules to the men’s red pill movement. Clearly, based on those leaked sound bites, many of Keith’s ideas are similar to those of Red Pillers. My comment was for us to ponder: did Keith come up with SOP ideas on his own? or did he hijack them also. We all know ESP is a mishmash of Scientology, Ayn Randian Objectivism and MLM strategy, has Keith ever had one original idea of his own?

When looking at NEO Nazi philosophy it’s obvious the Neo nazis have also have adopted this red pill Matrix analogy…but in this case these nazis/Alt- right followers believe that “whites” are oppressed by “non-whites” and that whites need to wake up and “Follow the white rabbit”…and that some great awakening is upon us..blah blah blah.

I asked the question about Vanguard because I noticed that the NEO Nazi group Vanguard America was operating in New York State, and I wondered if Keith really adopted that title because he loved that video game so much, or because he embraced the neo Nazi philosophy.

I’m not touchy about what Laura stated about SOP and the alt-right movement and/or red-pill specifically. In fact, I think she’s correct and has provided a service for Frank Report and its readers on the local happenings of NXIVM and company. It’s quite obvious that there are a lot of misogynistic, or at least patronizing unequal elements to SOP and how Vanguard views women. I just think these issues of feminism, gender roles, men’s rights, etc., are nuanced and most people don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to fundamentally justifying them, often seeing the differences between the sexes as a sign of weakness or strength in one or the other as a matter of comparison (or other stupid ideas previously hinted at), when they are simply matters of complementation. That is what triggered my somewhat emotional response and nothing at all in the explicit content of what Laura posted.

In fact, like all the philosophers I know, including some Post-doctorals, I am conscious of becoming more ignorant of the world and what wags it, the deeper my understanding of epistemology and metaphysics gets. Like many other terms that conceptualize social movement categories, feminism is a broad one that even feminists can’t even seem to agree upon as to what it entails.
Also, tell me where have I been “constant” in my criticism of people not knowing anything about metaphysics and philosophy? The fact of the matter is, most people *do not* know about these things. Metaphysics is hard, and the various disciplines of philosophy of which metaphysics is the ground for are as well to a greater or lesser degree. I never made the claim that I am more than an armchair philosopher and knew what I was talking about over others. I simply stated I argue for my point of view.

I have a few thoughts on the real reason “Vanguard” started this Rainbow garden idea. In my opinion Keith really has no interest in other cultures or races at all, and one of the purposes of Rainbow Gardens (besides ripping off people by making false claims about this program)is to make it appear as though Vanguard is really not a racist.

No. The term vanguard means at the forefront of something, or a leader of some movement. It’s just a grandiose title that reveals his narcissism. It is also ironic since the guy used to just hide out in Albany and rarely ever go anywhere. When I did a little research I realized that Vanguard America is the name of one of these WS groups. So maybe there is a connection. Or maybe it’s just a coincidence.
It is much simpler than that. Keith loved video games, he was a gamer. He reportedly took the title after the 1981 Video game VANGUARD.
However, SOP and it’s misogynistic beliefs are akin to the men’s RED Pill movement which does have many alt-right adherents. The Red Pill movement predates the Alt-right. It is unknown if Keith ripped off the ideas from the RED PILL movement or if he is actually a Vanguard in his belief system on women and their roles.
