Why Feds in NYC, not Albany, are investigating Raniere

Will NXIVM leader, Keith Raniere, be charged with any federal crimes?

According to the New York Times and the Albany Times Union, a federal investigation into NXIVM, and its associated companies, groups, and sororities, and their leaders, is being conducted by the FBI, under the supervision of the US Department of Justice for the Eastern District of NY.

The federal territorial jurisdiction of the Eastern District of NY includes the Counties of Kings (Brooklyn), Queens, Richmond (Staten Island), Nassau, and Suffolk as well as, concurrently with the Southern District of New York, the waters of New York and Bronx counties (including New York Harbor and the East River).

This has led some to question why the Eastern District of NY and not the Northern District of New York [which encompasses Albany, where NXIVM is headquartered] is supervising the federal criminal investigation.

The reason, insiders tell Frank Report, is that Queens is the point-of-entry into the USA.  It is suspected that Sara and Clare Bronfman flew foreign nannies [under false visas] into John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens. The women, who began as Rainbow Cultural Garden staff [nannies], were later trafficked and/or abused in a variety of criminal ways, it is suspected.

None of this is secret.

It is also known that certain wealthy Mexicans arrived here at JFK and are suspected of bringing with them smuggled bulk cash.

That, too, is well known among NXIVM members who say they witnessed it.

It is also well known that the NYC FBI are the most independent, aggressive  and least politically tainted of the FBI nationwide.

It may become a scandal of immense proportions that law enforcement officials at all levels in the the Northern District of New York  ignored the alleged crimes of Raniere for decades, despite numerous complaints.

  • It’s also possible, of course, that one of the reasons why the feds investigation is based in Brooklyn is because they’re also investigating some of our local law enforcement officials and governmental officials. At a minimum, they’ve got to be looking at all the reports that were made over the years to the U.S. Attorney in Albany, to the IRS, to NYS Governor Andrew Cuomo, to the NYS Attorney General, to the NYS Police, to the NYS Department of Health, to the New York State Department of Education, to the NYS Department of Taxation and Finance, to the Albany County District Attorney (David Soares), to the Albany County Sheriff, to the Albany Police Department, to the Albany County Health Department, to the Saratoga County District Attorney, and to the Saratoga County Department of Social Services – just to name a few. Wouldn’t that be sweet!

  • So much for being the next Buddha or Jesse. So much for fighting for the truth and standing up for the mission. You can’t stand up for something that doesn’t actually exist. At least the one that is presented (falsely) as the mission.

The real mission was to control people, feed himself and his ego, screw around some, but first and foremost, to rip off a bunch of people who were at lower points in their lives or looking to change some issue within themselves through no fault of their own. Yeah, how much money did you actually rip off VanDouche? Hopefully the government will figure it out and throw your fake ass in jail.

For the way he conned and manipulated a number of people, VanDouche deserves to grow old alone on some tropical island away from the rest of humanity for which he was trying to create a noble civilization for – yeah sure, don’t make me laugh.

  • Keith Raniere knows exactly what he did and the universe of evidence that exists against him that will put him in prison for a very long time. Believe me, it’s a thousand times worse than anything that’s been reported in the news so far, including by this blog. The New York Times tried to contact Keith for a comment regarding the E.D.N.Y. investigation and Keith ran out of the country. He couldn’t have left faster. Has anyone actually seen Keith in Mexico lately? He will be going into hiding any day now – ANY DAY – if he hasn’t already. No one will know at first, his small group of women slaves will lie and say he’s still in Monterrey but is busy on some special project. They’ll hide the fact he’s gone just like they hid Pam Cafritz’ death for a month.

Mexico will never protect Keith’s extradition from happening and he knows it. Vanuatu. Easy citizenship, close to Fiji, no extradition.

    • Thanks for pointing this out!

“The Maldives, Vanuatu, and Tunisia are all non-extradition countries. Vanuatu is a tax-free nation and has an interesting citizenship by investment program.”

      http://nomadcapitalist.com/2015/07/15/how-to-get-second-residency-citizenship-in-vanuatu/

“With Vanuatu’s passport now packing more punch as a travel document, obtaining residency in the country with the goal of becoming a naturalized citizen in the future seems more appealing.

For one thing, Vanuatu has no income tax. None. Nor any estate taxes or capital gains taxes.
In fact, other than enforcing a rather lax VAT, Vanuatu has few taxes at all.

At one point, 15% of the entire economy was derived from the country’s tax haven status.

      ….

In fact, [Vanuatu islands] offer quite possibly the most straightforward, easiest economic citizenship option in the world, with a passport possible in as little as 45 days.

Vanuatu has streamlined its due diligence procedures for would-be citizens and moved the application process online in an effort to reduce paperwork.

Getting a second passport here isn’t your cheapest option, but it is an interesting one: for $200,000 all-in, a single applicant can become a citizen within two months and enjoy visa-free travel to most of Europe including Russia.”
