Igtet and Bronfman inflate single hotel into a collection

Anti American Muslim Basit Igter with his wealthy Jewish wife and sex-cult member Sara Bronfman. They seem to be on the run.

Basit Igtet and his wife, Sara Bronfman, talk about inspiring a new style of hospitality experience on their website for their company, Athal Hospitality.

They call their business ‘a new luxury and lifestyle hotel collection’ but list only one hotel, located in France. Is one hotel a collection?

This is typical of followers of Keith Raniere: Inflate everything- from IQs to judo championships to hotel collections.

Here is their story on their website.

Entrepreneurs and Philanthropists Basit Igtet & Sara Bronfman Inspire a New Style of Hospitality Experience

Athal Hospitality was founded by Basit Igtet, a Zurich-based international entrepreneur with a strong track record in iconic hotel and property acquisition, and his wife Sara Bronfman, a philanthropist and education entrepreneur with 15 years of experience in the field of human potential. Mr. Igtet has brought together a team of hospitality experts led by Stefan Fraenkel, an inspirational figure in the field of hospitality and the former Director of the Innovation Institute at Ecole Hôtelière de Lausanne.

Athal Hospitality aims to develop a hand-picked portfolio of properties providing unique guest experiences, nurtured by a delicate balance between the company’s three pillars: art, nature and wellness. Domaine des Andéols is the first expression of that philosophy with an emphasis on art.

Founded in 2003, Domaine des Andéols has been a life-long project for artist and renowned fashion and cultural events producer Olivier Massart and his wife Patrizia, who together acquired, designed and developed the property.

Located in an exquisite natural setting, the Domaine offers a selection of homes and suites carefully decorated with an extraordinary collection of art and designer furniture. Mr. Igtet and Mr. Massart also collaborated to launch the first on-site exhibition curated by Parisian art gallerist Kamel Mennour.

Fashion designer, artist and creator Jean-Charles de Castelbajac is the founding artist in a new series of Artists in Residence, invited to leave their impression upon the property. The fresco adorning the wall of the Maison des Saveurs restaurant, entitled “The Six Elements,“ is the artist’s testimonial to his experience at the Domaine.

About Athal Hospitality:

Wonder if this locale will be the site of the School Michele Hatchette is launching. And I wonder if they will add the Wakaya Island Resort and Spa to their list of properties once Clare bungles that. FWIW it is unclear if Wakaya is even operational at this time. The last Tripadvisor report was over a year ago and the pool was not open per the last reviews. Very interesting differences in the experience by two visitors during December 2016. The Positive review is short and fluff vs the totally negative one which bullets all the issues found with the new managment. Not sure if David Gilmour had whatever Clare has in mind for his former property.

It sounds suspiciously like a front to recruit well-to-do people into NXIVM.

As long as they hired experts and not ‘experts’ in hospitality it might be all good. But I still think it is a bad idea to start a hotel with no background knowledge in neither running a kitchen or running the hotel itself. But as there is enough inheritance money left. You cannot do anything evil with a hotel I guess. At least they are not starting a boarding school for girls.

The rooms are atrocious, cold and ugly – relying on ‘modern’ art and people’s idea that spartan living is somehow a luxury. The hotel provides no more cachet than any other 3 star basic hotel. And, the location is not convenient to any activity except golfing.

About the Author

Frank Parlato is an investigative journalist.

His work has been cited in hundreds of news outlets, like The New York Times, The Daily Mail, VICE News, CBS News, Fox News, New York Post, New York Daily News, Oxygen, Rolling Stone, People Magazine, The Sun, The Times of London, CBS Inside Edition, among many others in all five continents.

His work to expose and take down NXIVM is featured in books like “Captive” by Catherine Oxenberg, “Scarred” by Sarah Edmonson, “The Program” by Toni Natalie, and “NXIVM. La Secta Que Sedujo al Poder en México” by Juan Alberto Vasquez.

Parlato has been prominently featured on HBO’s docuseries “The Vow” and was the lead investigator and coordinating producer for Investigation Discovery’s “The Lost Women of NXIVM.” Parlato was also credited in the Starz docuseries "Seduced" for saving 'slave' women from being branded and escaping the sex-slave cult known as DOS.

Additionally, Parlato’s coverage of the group OneTaste, starting in 2018, helped spark an FBI investigation, which led to indictments of two of its leaders in 2023.

Parlato appeared on the Nancy Grace Show, Beyond the Headlines with Gretchen Carlson, Dr. Oz, American Greed, Dateline NBC, and NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, where Parlato conducted the first-ever interview with Keith Raniere after his arrest. This was ironic, as many credit Parlato as one of the primary architects of his arrest and the cratering of the cult he founded.

Parlato is a consulting producer and appears in TNT's The Heiress and the Sex Cult, which premiered on May 22, 2022. Most recently, he consulted and appeared on Tubi's "Branded and Brainwashed: Inside NXIVM," which aired January, 2023.
